If two thoughts could sum up my experience with Susmita that would be her positivity and calmness on the personal front and her exceptional brilliance on the professional front. Within 10 minutes of me walking into my makeup trial with Susmita, I knew she was the one. I had tried all the major makeup artists in the tri-state area and what made her stand apart was her personality - she’s one of the sweetest and calmest people you could meet and knows exactly what the bride wants. What also set her apart was how she always went the extra mile (at all points) just to make sure I was at ease and comfortable. On the big day, She was by my side from early dawn till late at night and made sure that my look was nothing short of perfect at every point in the day. My makeup came up exactly how I had envisioned and Susmita made sure I got the exact look that I was going for. So a huge Thank You for nailing the look and for the constant support throughout the day. Every time I look at the wedding day pics, I have a large smile on my face because you made my dream makeup a reality and I looked exactly how I dreamt to look. I got profiled as a Sabyasachi bride and I couldn’t have asked for a better makeup artist to nail the Sabyasachi bride look - I am so glad that I ended up selecting you as my makeup artist. She is a very positive person and what I remember from the wedding day is that in-spite of all the commotion of the wedding, she kept her calm and brought so much positive energy to the dynamic. I would highly recommend Susmita as I can very confidently say that you couldn’t ask for a better makeup artist and human being than Susmita for your Big Day makeup!!

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. She never responded to my multiple emails for a trial even though she claimed to have my wedding date on hold. She acted like she was doing me a favor. Would never hire such a pretentious and rude "artist".

For someone who is a professional, she sure doesn't act like it. She never responds to emails to the point where even my family called her and she never called them back. I was told that unless you have money, she doesn't necessarily call you back. We have plenty that we rather spend on quality service than this. I can't believe so many women put up with that. Not my style :)

She infuses her work with her own unique stamp – and that is what makes her so different than a traditional hair / makeup artist. Susmita is also the definition of a perfectionist – she was on time, prepared, professional and did not STOP until I felt and looked like absolute perfection on my wedding day. I never imagined looking as amazing on the outside as I felt on the inside that day – but Susmita and her team did that for me. Susmita is one of the most calming individuals I had the pleasure of being around on my wedding day. Indian weddings tend to be long with multiple events and early morning starts. Susmita’s calming aura and pleasant personality made such a big difference on my big day. She is a perfectionist – and so as I was getting ready for my wedding day, I felt beautiful, calm and at ease. That feeling of serenity is so important – not only is it reflected in all of your getting ready photography and videography, but it is a moment that as a bride, I will remember forever. I worked with Susmita for over a year as she helped me create my wedding looks that I will cherish for a lifetime. She is not just a “wedding vendor” to me – I consider her a friend, a confidant and a visionary who is so amazingly talented. I am so grateful that I found Style by Susmita – she is someone who months after my wedding, I will still keep in touch with because she has had such a genuinely positive and amazing impact on both me and my wedding.

I had a great experience with Susmita. I am not a natural beauty and she made me look incredible on my wedding day. I do recommend voicing your concerns ahead of time. She is very busy/ booked (and for a good reason) . I also had reservations as booked her solely on a family Rec. After speaking to her she did a trial with me which was great! She was very calming during the wedding day and she knew what would work well. She does everything too. Hair, makeup, draping!!! Once you see your wedding pics you will see what I mean! Book her.

I find Sushmita to do great work with Makeup (seriously is amazing) but she can be a little frustrating to work with. She is hard to get a hold of and sometimes has an unacceptable attitude and hurtful tone. I would recommend her for make up only but her negative attitude with fashion and unwillingness to adjust makes me hesitate to recommend her.
