Stylus DJ Entertainment

eird comments or constantly "hyping up the crowd." Robinette was excellent at reading the room and keeping the dance floor going! The spreadsheet system for song requests and our favorite songs was easy to use. Our coordinator turned out to be an absolute nightmare to work with but Robinette handled the event with grace despite our coordinator's lack of communication. We highly recommend Stylus and Robinette if you're looking for a cringe-free wedding DJ!

he process beforehand and creativity on the day. Guidelines for what to play or not play were respected, with a pool of songs for Jen to work her creative magic with and she did a great job. She was also very excited for, kind, and caring towards us, the bride and groom. Value was extremely high.

‘music snob’ and I had a LOT on my ‘do not play’ list and a LOT of silly details about how I wanted music to be played lol!!! My list of music requests was obnoxiously long and could probably have filled up like 5 whole weddings 🙊 Zach was literally so kind, understanding, patient with me and took all of my insane requests into consideration - and was able to navigate my excel sheet of like 18384746627281 songs with ease!!! I couldn’t have imagined the night going any better than it did. He did a perfect job. Also giant shoutout to Jane for doing all of the coordinating for our big day and for suggesting Zach as one of the DJ options after our first meeting. I loved the Stylus website because you could easily listen through mixes from the other DJs to see who would fit your style.

d she knocked the music selections out of the park during our reception! The playlist during dinner was perfect -- I could not believe how many favorite songs of mine ended up in there (not requested on my part!) while she curated the perfect vibe for dinner and conversation. And the dance floor could not have been more electric! I had many friends joking that they couldn't leave the dance floor to go to the bar, because every time they tried, a new song came on that they just had to dance to. DJ Karin also did an amazing job working with us to edit and cut down our first dance song, which was initially almost 6 minutes long. We could not have been happier with our wedding day experience!

incredible energy. We had a mix of music tastes—R&B and pop from the 2000s to today on my end, and oldies and timeless classics from my partner—and Jen blended it all perfectly. It never felt disjointed; the entire night flowed seamlessly with songs that had everyone on the dance floor, from our young niece and nephew to my 94 year old grandma and all friends in between! Beyond the music, Jen was a total pro with the timeline and logistics. She kept everything running smoothly—whether it was coordinating the ceremony music (our friend sang live) to perfectly timing key moments. We felt supported and totally at ease all night, which let us really soak in every second (as it flew by in a blur). Guests haven’t stopped talking about how great the music and energy were, and we couldn’t agree more. DJ Jen is not only incredibly talented, but also warm, detail-oriented, and so much fun. If you're looking for someone who truly gets the assignment and brings the party—she’s it. Book her now and thank us later!

ngs were included, and kept the energy up all night.

ad our intake call with Jane she didn't even hesitate - she knew immediately that Jim was the right fit for us. And she couldn't have been more right! Our wedding was "Krautrock" themed - think Kraftwerk, Can, Neu!, and Harmonia. If that means nothing to you - you're not alone! They are very niche bands from the 70's German rock scene...And Jim knew every one of their catalogs! The whole process honestly felt like putting together a party playlist with an old friend. Jim did a great job of keeping true to our vision while steering us in the right direction to keep the dance floor hopping all night. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Stylus to anyone looking for a wedding DJ. Jim was truly awesome and given how niche our music taste is I can't help but think they have the right fit for anyone.

h he sequenced brilliantly and augmented with some bangers that we'd overlooked. The dance floor was packed for more than 3 hours. He also covered the ceremony and the cocktail hour, and everything went off without a hitch. We can't recommend him -- and Stylus -- highly enough.

eral options for DJs, but felt that DJ Mariko would be the best fit, and she couldn't have been more right. Mariko was super easy to work with and understood our taste and vision for the wedding right away. We got SO MANY compliments on the music throughout the night. The dance floor was alive - it was hit after hit. Mariko is incredibly talented and really kept the energy going. Thank you Stylus and DJ Mariko!

would be entirely on us to get the energy up so that people would dance. But from the moment the dance floor opened to the very last song, it was PACKED. The transition to a new song that was even better than the last really made it hard to leave the dance floor, and everyone kept telling us how great the music was. Literally everyone we spoke to told us that our DJ was the best they’d ever seen at a wedding. We also skipped all the traditional things (grand entrances/first dance/cake cutting, etc), and she was totally on board with our vision of basically throwing a rager without the traditional interruptions. Because of this, we were worried that everyone would get tired after a while with so much extra time for dancing, but that wasn’t a problem at all. Nobody wanted to stop dancing, and the energy lasted long after the reception ended and we headed to our after party. She also handled the music and audio for our ceremony, which was in the woods on a windy day alongside a very loud and roaring creek after five days straight of rainfall. We were very concerned that nobody would be able to hear our vows above all the noise, but Mariko’s sound equipment and microphone made it easy for all 140 of our guests to hear us perfectly. We loved working with Mariko. Anybody looking for a great DJ in the New York area should hire her, especially if you want the energy of your wedding to be organic and vibey and fun all night long.

task—she had to rotate between three different locations and manage a full hour delay caused by a late vendor, but she handled everything like a pro. Jen also knew exactly how to keep the crowd engaged and having a great time, with flawless transitions throughout the event. She never missed a beat—literally. I can’t recommend her enough. Ten out of ten! 🩷

that lasted all night. He was wonderful to work with and even put together a recommended supplemental cocktail hour playlist based on the playlist we were already building. Highly recommend DJ Connor and Stylus for your event!

rom guests arriving before the ceremony, through the processional, through the recessional, through the cocktail hour, through dinner, and then brought the house down for all 4 hours of dancing. Everyone at the wedding told us how good the music was. She took the time to get to know our musical interests, but we mostly let her do her thing. The music felt very us without us having to think about it at all. She is able to keep the dance floor filled or have a calmer place to hang and chat with everyone. All aspects of the wedding felt like their own moment, the welcoming was different from the cocktail hour was different from the dinner. It made our wedding feel like an epic multipart event but was still truly us. We feel so lucky to have had her for our event!! She was so good that we already want to figure out another event to hire her for... And we just finished planning the wedding. So, to reiterate, DJ Mariko is the absolute best! Get her for your wedding.

rtant and treasured loved ones—do not underestimate how good it will feel to DANCE! DJ Mariko is the perfect guide for that celebration. Mariko can read the vibe of the room like no other. She kept all our guests happy with hits for the children through the seventy-somethings. My siblings and I kept doing double takes because even our PARENTS were on the dance floor (“has this ever happened??”). Mariko kept the party going seamlessly until the very end of the night. We had so much fun dancing, in fact, we completely missed the dessert table. An actual quote from the dance floor: “I’m DYING for a bad song, I need to take a break so bad” Another quote: “I may never walk again why did I wear these shoes??” Jane was also fantastic to work with — she listened carefully to our needs, was kind and responsive, and helped match us with the perfect DJ for our special day. Thanks, Mariko and Stylus DJ Entertainment for helping make our wedding truly unforgettable!

unicative and offering great advice along the way. We couldn't be happier and cannot recommend Stylus and Paul enough!

timeline and took note of all of our must plays and must NOT plays. On the wedding day the music flowed super well and DJ Brickhouse checked in with us during the night as needed. We got lots of compliments and tons of people did not leave the dance floor!

100% recommended!!

. She made us feel seen, heard and valued through the entire process. The day of was more than we could’ve hoped for. Her insight and thoughtfulness helped all of our guests, and us, have the most amazing time. Her sets were perfect and versatile, and she made the flow of the day absolutely seamless. Mariko’s calm and poised energy was exactly what we needed. She put us at ease from the first moment we met face to face. We really couldn’t be happier !! I hope we have an excuse to work with her again in future!

o work with him.

oughtful questions that helped us to plan our timeline, and he was amazingly patient while we ironed out a lot of details. On the day of the wedding, Paul was prepared and present for all of the big moments. He found a way to use all of our suggestions creatively throughout the night, and he curated a perfect atmosphere on the dance floor based on our preferences. Many of our guests mentioned that they’d never had more fun at a wedding or seen more people on the dance floor. My husband and I couldn’t recommend Paul more - he was an essential part of our wedding.

was absolute kismet!! Before our wedding, Mariko was extremely helpful, communicative, professional, and super-focused on giving us exactly what we wanted, all while adding in her own Special Sauce that only a real, working NYC club DJ could! And let me tell you- the dance floor was packed all night!! Top marks!! No notes!! Thank you, Mariko and Jane!!

. He did a perfect job. He played music that was exactly our taste, and made everyone feel welcome (but not forced) to dance. He was also incredibly helpful with announcements, flexible, and responsive to a couple of last minute needs. We were a bit nervous looking for a DJ--given some weddings we've been to with odd transitions, harsh genre shifts, or aggressive "everyone better get on the dance floor" vibes--but as soon as we found Paul, we had no more worries. And, even though we were confident he would do an amazing job, he somehow did an even better job than we expected. 100% recommend working with DJ Paul -- zero hesitations. Book him!!

e specifically were searching for DJs whose style was not the typical, over-the-top personality that we’ve experienced at other weddings. Jen’s energy was a breath of fresh air: down-to-earth, attentive, and just a very cool person overall. Music is very important to us and she took our (many) recommendations in stride and curated an incredible vibe, from the ceremony through to the party. Our guests (and other vendors!) were raving about how much they enjoyed the music. We actually don’t consider ourselves big dancers and yet we were on the dance floor with our guests all night! Working with Jen and Stylus DJ was a super smooth experience and we highly recommend it.

and read our music tastes so perfectly and pumped up the crowd with an amazing set list that we loved. She even helped dispel our fear of the dreaded "dance circle" by getting our guests to enclose us in a tight circle, which made us feel so loved without having to bust out some crazy dance moves. Thanks DJ Mariko!!

an we ever expected. She reads the crowd and delivers!!! We could not recommend DJ Mariko more.

e entire wedding party no matter the age on the dance floor all night. Her mixes are amazing!!!!! Our guests talked about how they could not leave the dance floor because of how much fun the music was. She also created a really special experience with our first dance that I'll never forget. I cannot recommend her enough!

Our guests were dancing all night and kept complimenting us on our cool DJ. Even our wedding coordinator complimented us on Mariko! She struck the perfect balance of MC'ing, not too much but not too little. She was a joy to work with. Our day was so special to us and that's in large part due to Mariko. We absolutely recommend her.

te all of them amazingly (from quoted sections from Twin Peaks and Star Trek to late additions from Charli XCX and Chappell Roan); not only that, but he recorded the entire set in lossless audio so we could burn it to vinyl to have for years to come! We are so so incredibly thankful to have booked Connor (and Stylus more broadly); would highly recommend to anyone looking for a personal touch to the music for their wedding night!

d, making the planning process smooth and stress-free with just one introductory call and one final call. She offered insightful advice based on the experiences of other couples and their music choices. We needed a DJ to help us create a playlist from our favorite songs that would resonate with a diverse age group, from toddlers to seniors, and she exceeded our expectations. Even on a hot summer day in NJ, the dance floor was packed, and we received numerous compliments from guests of all ages on how much they enjoyed the music. I can't praise Karin enough!

s super friendly, great at reading the room, played important songs (processional, first dance, etc.) exactly when they were planned. Perhaps most importantly, my mom and grandma had an amazing time and danced more than I've ever seen. I'd happily work with her again! Thanks!

DE the party. All night long, we had guests coming up to us with compliments about how amazing the music was. DJ Mariko knows how to read a dance floor and keep the party going all night. Our friends were obsessed with her!! As are we! Thank you for making our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception amazing!!

our style - but whatever your style is, the mark of a great DJ is great transitions IMHO..... DJ Paul's transitions were on point - so much so that people were talking about it. Third, he's got great vibes & energy. Bottom line, if you live in the tri-state, you can't do better than DJ Paul and it seems the whole team is dialed. Thanks Paul & Elizabeth! - Emily & Peter

had with her, we could tell she was thoughtful, organized, and meticulous about her work. She has an amazing knowledge of music and immediately picked up on the vibes we wanted for our wedding and added such a strong spirit to the whole night. Overall, we wanted a DJ that wasn’t flashy, showy, or overly hyped up. Mariko was so chill the whole time, she just had her laptop and speakers. We didn’t want much emceeing, and she still brought the PARTY at the reception. I don’t know how she does it but she reads the room so well and it made for the best time. Our dance floor was going all night long, we literally did not want to leave it. Before the wedding, we met with Mariko a few times to touch base when we had questions. She was so thorough in her preparation for our event, and asked questions about things we wouldn’t have even considered to make sure everything was seamless. Jane from Stylus was also such a key part of helping us find the right DJ for us, and working with her was a breeze! WE LOVE YOU MARIKO AND STYLUS!!

arranged and transitioned our hodgepodge of music suggestions into a seamless experience, from before the ceremony to our closing dance. Her attention to the energy of the party and the music we provided was excellent. Furthermore, she did a fantastic job at integrating our various announcements and the use of an open mic into her DJing. I cannot recommend her enough--thank you DJ Jen!!

and our cultures seamlessly to make sure everyone felt free to have fun, while also hearing something to bring them joy and welcome them to the dance floor. She cares about how sound can affect kids, elders, and folks who are hard of hearing in a way that showed deep respect for her skills and how they can affect others. She went above and beyond to immerse herself in our planning process - she was more than a DJ, she was a true partner, We can't wait to see her again and be her friend!

s a couple and what your vibe is. After just a few songs sent over, she was able to put together an amazing playlist for our wedding that kept people on the dance floor all night. She is an expert at reading the room and playing off the vibe. So many guests talked about the music at the wedding and how it was amazing from cocktail hour all the way through the last song, which is no easy feat! On top of that, she was super organized, really helped us manage the flow of the wedding, took any requests we had, and MC’d everything perfectly. We HIGHLY recommend her for anyone looking for a DJ for a wedding or event!

/indie pop vibe we were looking for during the dinner and cocktail hour. But the best part was the dance party. Our guests had a blast and I didn't want to leave the dance floor. Jane was great on the booking side, too – super clear and communicative – and we appreciated the transparent pricing system. It was everything we hoped for and more!

ven during the wedding was able to read the room incredibly well and was more than accommodating with our needs / wants. We couldn't have asked for a more professional and thoughtful DJ experience.

ur dance floor was packed with high energy the entire time even though ppl were spread across a few diff adjoining rooms. Jane was also very accommodating about edits to the contract, and made us feel comfortable about our commitments. Overall, would definitely recommend!

n’t playing Beyonce (my number one ask) you know there is a problem. I wish I had someone else. Pay more for someone else.

llins. He couldn't have been a better fit and was the definition of a generous, collaborative, kind and talented presence throughout the entire event. He brought great ideas to the table, was genuinely interested in our musical vision, and had a deft ability to be malleable as the event unfolded and to make expert decisions to keep things flowing and structured. If you go with Paul Collins, you'll feel as lucky as we do on the other side of the wedding. Thank you so much, Paul and Stylus!

f the room, and knew when to shift back and forth between getting people up to dance and letting people enjoy their dinner and conversation. She also included lots of our favorite tunes that we had sent beforehand, and showed good judgement about what we might like based on that list and some discussion about our tastes. She was easy to work with and coordinated well with our wedding planner at the venue. As far as we are concerned, we couldn't have asked for more from a DJ. Eli & Kay

sic was amazing, and incorporated all of our preferences and requests. Everyone was dancing!

about the DJ at our wedding! Some friends telling us it was, "the best way to spend their birthday weekend", "the best dance party of my life, with all of my favorite people", one of our close friends danced so hard he ripped his pants, and considered it a badge of honor! And on top of all of that - it was above and beyond everything we dreamed of. My husband and I are eternally grateful. Our goal with our wedding was to throw the best party we've ever thrown, and DJ Mariko from Stylus literally brought that dream to life. Thank you so so much!!!
