Our Stylus DJ Jen Urban was the greatest!! She understood our vibe immediately and was so kind and cool and exactly what our fun chill queer wedding needed! GREAT music, on theme, 100% recommended!!

My husband and I are so happy we booked with Stylus for our wedding. DJ Mariko was the most amazing asset to our wedding day. Working with Mariko leading up to the day was seamless. She made us feel seen, heard and valued through the entire process. The day of was more than we could’ve hoped for. Her insight and thoughtfulness helped all of our guests, and us, have the most amazing time. Her sets were perfect and versatile, and she made the flow of the day absolutely seamless. Mariko’s calm and poised energy was exactly what we needed. She put us at ease from the first moment we met face to face. We really couldn’t be happier !! I hope we have an excuse to work with her again in future!

DJ Paul Collins was more than we could’ve asked for in a DJ! Jane from Stylus helped us match with Paul based on our preferences, and he was a perfect fit. Pre-wedding, he asked thoughtful questions that helped us to plan our timeline, and he was amazingly patient while we ironed out a lot of details. On the day of the wedding, Paul was prepared and present for all of the big moments. He found a way to use all of our suggestions creatively throughout the night, and he curated a perfect atmosphere on the dance floor based on our preferences. Many of our guests mentioned that they’d never had more fun at a wedding or seen more people on the dance floor. My husband and I couldn’t recommend Paul more - he was an essential part of our wedding.

So glad our wedding planner suggested Stylus to us!! From our first meeting, Jane was attentive, organized, and seemed to really understand our vibe, and directing us to DJ Mariko was absolute kismet!! Before our wedding, Mariko was extremely helpful, communicative, professional, and super-focused on giving us exactly what we wanted, all while adding in her own Special Sauce that only a real, working NYC club DJ could! And let me tell you- the dance floor was packed all night!! Top marks!! No notes!! Thank you, Mariko and Jane!!

Working with DJ Paul Collins was an absolute pleasure. He is thoughtful, kind, and asked helpful questions proactively. We truly could not have asked for a better DJ at our wedding. He did a perfect job. He played music that was exactly our taste, and made everyone feel welcome (but not forced) to dance. He was also incredibly helpful with announcements, flexible, and responsive to a couple of last minute needs. We were a bit nervous looking for a DJ--given some weddings we've been to with odd transitions, harsh genre shifts, or aggressive "everyone better get on the dance floor" vibes--but as soon as we found Paul, we had no more worries. And, even though we were confident he would do an amazing job, he somehow did an even better job than we expected. 100% recommend working with DJ Paul -- zero hesitations. Book him!!

Jen is an awesome DJ! From the moment we met her, we knew that we were going to get along quite well, bonding over our love of Taylor Swift. When looking for DJs for our wedding, we specifically were searching for DJs whose style was not the typical, over-the-top personality that we’ve experienced at other weddings. Jen’s energy was a breath of fresh air: down-to-earth, attentive, and just a very cool person overall. Music is very important to us and she took our (many) recommendations in stride and curated an incredible vibe, from the ceremony through to the party. Our guests (and other vendors!) were raving about how much they enjoyed the music. We actually don’t consider ourselves big dancers and yet we were on the dance floor with our guests all night! Working with Jen and Stylus DJ was a super smooth experience and we highly recommend it.

DJ Mariko was such a joy to work with for our wedding. She was organized, flexible, and professional, and most importantly, she lit the dance floor on fire. She's a great listener and read our music tastes so perfectly and pumped up the crowd with an amazing set list that we loved. She even helped dispel our fear of the dreaded "dance circle" by getting our guests to enclose us in a tight circle, which made us feel so loved without having to bust out some crazy dance moves. DJ Mariko is the DJ you're looking for, she was so easy to work with, timely and productive in all her communications throughout the planning process. On our wedding day she had the entire wedding party no matter the age on the dance floor all night. Her mixes are amazing!!!!! Our guests talked about how they could not leave the dance floor because of how much fun the music was. She also created a really special experience with our first dance that I'll never forget. I cannot recommend her enough!

DJ Mariko was fantastic! We told her our vision and she executed it perfectly. She was very thorough in her consultation because she wanted our wedding to be exactly to our liking. Our guests were dancing all night and kept complimenting us on our cool DJ. Even our wedding coordinator complimented us on Mariko! She struck the perfect balance of MC'ing, not too much but not too little. She was a joy to work with. Our day was so special to us and that's in large part due to Mariko. We absolutely recommend her.

We booked DJ Gotzman for our wedding this past July and have to say that the experience was absolutely magical-- we had a number of specific requests and Connor was able to integrate all of them amazingly (from quoted sections from Twin Peaks and Star Trek to late additions from Charli XCX and Chappell Roan); not only that, but he recorded the entire set in lossless audio so we could burn it to vinyl to have for years to come! We are so so incredibly thankful to have booked Connor (and Stylus more broadly); would highly recommend to anyone looking for a personal touch to the music for their wedding night!

If I could rate higher than 5/5, I definitely would! We booked DJ Karin for our wedding in Bordentown, NJ, in July 2024, which had 85 attendees. Karin is incredibly genuine and kind, making the planning process smooth and stress-free with just one introductory call and one final call. She offered insightful advice based on the experiences of other couples and their music choices. We needed a DJ to help us create a playlist from our favorite songs that would resonate with a diverse age group, from toddlers to seniors, and she exceeded our expectations. Even on a hot summer day in NJ, the dance floor was packed, and we received numerous compliments from guests of all ages on how much they enjoyed the music. I can't praise Karin enough!

Working with Stylus was a breeze! From the get go Jane was super communicative and easy to work with. We had Amber as the DJ for the wedding and loved everything she played. She was super friendly, great at reading the room, played important songs (processional, first dance, etc.) exactly when they were planned. Perhaps most importantly, my mom and grandma had an amazing time and danced more than I've ever seen. I'd happily work with her again! Thanks!

We came to Stylus because we were looking for a female DJ (a sad rarity in the industry!!) for our Queer wedding - and we made the right choice! We worked with DJ Mariko and she MADE the party. All night long, we had guests coming up to us with compliments about how amazing the music was. DJ Mariko knows how to read a dance floor and keep the party going all night. Our friends were obsessed with her!! As are we! Thank you for making our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception amazing!!

DJ Paul is the man! First off, we got so many complements on the music, which feels great to know your guests are having a good time. Second, He spent a lot of time learning about our style - but whatever your style is, the mark of a great DJ is great transitions IMHO..... DJ Paul's transitions were on point - so much so that people were talking about it. Third, he's got great vibes & energy. Working with Stylus and DJ Mariko could not have been better! We used them for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Mariko absolutely KILLED it. From the first zoom call we had with her, we could tell she was thoughtful, organized, and meticulous about her work. She has an amazing knowledge of music and immediately picked up on the vibes we wanted for our wedding and added such a strong spirit to the whole night. Overall, we wanted a DJ that wasn’t flashy, showy, or overly hyped up. Mariko was so chill the whole time, she just had her laptop and speakers.We didn’t want much emceeing, and she still brought the PARTY at the reception. I don’t know how she does it but she reads the room so well and it made for the best time. Our dance floor was going all night long, we literally did not want to leave it. Before the wedding, we met with Mariko a few times to touch base when we had questions. She was so thorough in her preparation for our event, and asked questions about things we wouldn’t have even considered to make sure everything was seamless. Jane from Stylus was also such a key part of helping us find the right DJ for us, and working with her was a breeze! WE LOVE YOU MARIKO AND STYLUS!!

DJ Jen helped make our wedding that much more special! We had a party of roughly 50 folks in a small-medium sized venue, and DJ Jen navigated everything with ease. She brilliantly arranged and transitioned our hodgepodge of music suggestions into a seamless experience, from before the ceremony to our closing dance. Her attention to the energy of the party and the music we provided was excellent. Furthermore, she did a fantastic job at integrating our various announcements and the use of an open mic into her DJing. I cannot recommend her enough--thank you DJ Jen!!

Mariko made our wedding absolutely magical. She is courteous, conscientious, inclusive, and will stop at nothing to ensure absolute perfection. She blended together our music taste and our cultures seamlessly to make sure everyone felt free to have fun, while also hearing something to bring them joy and welcome them to the dance floor. She cares about how sound can affect kids, elders, and folks who are hard of hearing in a way that showed deep respect for her skills and how they can affect others. She went above and beyond to immerse herself in our planning process - she was more than a DJ, she was a true partner, We can't wait to see her again and be her friend!

DJ Mariko played at our friend's wedding, and we were SO happy she was available for ours because she is amazing. She is super easy to work with and takes time to get to know you as a couple and what your vibe is. After just a few songs sent over, she was able to put together an amazing playlist for our wedding that kept people on the dance floor all night. She is an expert at reading the room and playing off the vibe. So many guests talked about the music at the wedding and how it was amazing from cocktail hour all the way through the last song, which is no easy feat! On top of that, she was super organized, really helped us manage the flow of the wedding, took any requests we had, and MC’d everything perfectly. We HIGHLY recommend her for anyone looking for a DJ for a wedding or event!

I can't recommend Stylus DJ enough! DJ Mariko was truly fantastic. She sent us a really helpful questionnaire to fill out ahead of the wedding, and she captured just the indie folk/indie pop vibe we were looking for during the dinner and cocktail hour. But the best part was the dance party. Our guests had a blast and I didn't want to leave the dance floor. Jane was great on the booking side, too – super clear and communicative – and we appreciated the transparent pricing system. It was everything we hoped for and more!

We decided to work with DJ Mariko from Stylus for our wedding of about ~130 people. Mariko was not only extremely helpful during the entire process leading up to the wedding, but even during the wedding was able to read the room incredibly well and was more than accommodating with our needs / wants. Super cool company. My dj mariko seemed so cool and then she failed my wedding. Perhaps it was my fault but when she started playing ABBA and my friend had to ask why she still wasn’t playing Beyonce (my number one ask) you know there is a problem. I wish I had someone else. Pay more for someone else.

Amber Lynn Ensign at Stylus DJ did a fantastic job handling the music for us at our wedding, from ceremony to reception. At the reception she showed a great awareness of the mood of the room, and knew when to shift back and forth between getting people up to dance and letting people enjoy their dinner and conversation. She also included lots of our favorite tunes that we had sent beforehand, and showed good judgement about what we might like based on that list and some discussion about our tastes. We cannot recommend Stylus DJ Entertainment and DJ Amber Lynn more highly. Our wedding was planned for October 2020 but had to be postponed twice due to COVID. In late 2019, we were assigned to DJ Amber Lynn, and we could not have been happier with her. We finally had our celebration in October 2022, and Stylus and DJ Amber Lynn were extraordinarily adaptable and supportive throughout the multi-year delay and final month of planning. DJ Amber Lynn knows her music, and she puts in an extraordinary effort to ensure that the music matches the couple and the ambiance they’re seeking to a tee. Throughout our planning, she asked thorough questions to fully understand our musical tastes, our goals for each part of our wedding and reception, and had us complete forms that articulated our likes, dislikes, must-plays, do-not-plays, etc. With that information, DJ Amber Lynn masterfully curated the music for our entire day, from pre-ceremony welcome music to the very last dance. We have eclectic tastes, from ’60s garage, to girl groups, to ’80s pop, to punk classics, free jazz, and obscure soul. She managed to weave together our disparate musical preferences in a cohesive, coherent way that never felt forced or awkward — her transitions were perfect! Moreover, she has impeccable timing and room read, knowing exactly when our guests were ready for more relaxation or active partying. DJ Amber Lynn (and the whole team at Stylus) was warm, friendly, and responsive to our requests. She played a huge role in our wedding, as both DJ and emcee, and we are so grateful we made the right DJ choice with Stylus and Amber Lynn. Her DJing was so good, we’ve received multiple requests for our wedding playlist, which she very kindly shared. We unreservedly recommend Stylus and DJ Amber Lynn for weddings or any special event.

We worked with Mariko Morimoto. It was such a great experience, Mariko was so helpful during this stressful time. When it came to the playlist and time, everything was great. Only good things, everyone loved the music and dancing.

DJ Gotzman is an incredible DJ who kept our dance floor full and fun! He was so helpful leading up to the wedding and was knowledgeable about so many different music genres that he was able to give feedback and recommendations of music to include as we gave him some of our songs and artists we were considering for the rough playlist we had put together for him. He took our huge list of songs (maybe about 12+ hours of music for a ~4 hour event) and distilled it into a wonderful and well organized flow of music for each part of the night, from the cocktail hour to the dinner and then the real party time when we wanted everyone dancing with us. This was no easy task with the variety of music we threw at him as well as with the request that he include a subset of chaotic non-meshing songs from the guests we got from the guests through the RSVP so that we could help facilitate getting them to dance. He successfully delivered and it was such a fun night and the guests were so excited when they heard their contribution to the playlist come on and would run to the dance floor if they weren’t already there! Connor was extremely helpful and it seemed that Stylus DJ has done a great job to support him and enable him to be a great DJ with the planning tools they provided. He was on top of everything and well prepared far in advance of the big day and was available to us whenever we had questions and made sure to keep in contact with meetings to make sure we were always on the same page. He was very helpful with the important songs (processionals, recessionals, first dances, etc.) so that we could map out how and when we wanted them to play and even used software to slow down the speed of a song so the bride’s mother would be able to keep up and participate in a line dance that would kick off the dancing. A side note not specific to DJing, he went above and beyond and also helped our day of coordinator pick up and move some of the decor, favors, etc. that we needed to get to the venue. 10/10 100% would recommend anyone and everyone to use Connor for a fun dance-filled wedding! Also, he just has such a naturally cool vibe and was fun to have there the whole night!

DJ Mariko put together such a fantastic dance set at our reception that we had to tell our guests to sit down and eat. The energy on the dance floor was incredible, the dancing non-stop and our guests gave so much positive feedback. Mariko and Jane were both so great and a pleasure to work with.

Wow!! From the get-go, I knew I was in good hands. This is an outfit that listens and follows through. I chose DJ Karin to make my party rock and she totally exceeded all my expectations. Music is truly the most important element in a party and sets the mood and memory for all guests. DJ Karin researched even my most obscure suggestions and made the night happen. Her musical knowledge was so evident. She kept the music flowing in the right rhythm so that guests could dance, eat, drink and dance some more. She knew when to get to a high point to keep the energy up and when the quiet moments were appropriate. A wireless mic was available for words and the beats were solid. Costs with Stylus DJ were truly reasonable. Staff and communication perfect. Definitely the best. I can't thank them enough!

My wife and I loved working with Stylus DJ, Jane and DJ Mariko are fantastic!!! After reaching out to Stylus, Jane sent us a list of different DJs and their styles and experience. We chose DJ Mariko and she was a perfect fit! During planning, she shared a document with us that was used to capture all of the details of our wedding--the vibe, the kind of music we wanted, the timeline, and all of our expectations. We met with Mariko a few weeks before the wedding and went over everything, and all throughout she was super attentive, thoughtful, and thorough, and she totally got our wedding vision. On the day of the wedding she was prompt, upbeat, super friendly, and kept our guests on the dance floor the whole night. Mariko played all of the songs that my wife and I requested, kept our schedule on track throughout the evening with her emceeing, and maintained the perfect vibe and volume for each stage of our cocktail hour and reception; several of our guests told us afterward that they appreciated that they were able to actually talk to each other while still getting to dance and enjoy the music, whereas at so many other weddings they’d been to they couldn’t even hear the people next to them at their tables. Everyone was sad when the last dance song was announced, as were we--we didn’t want the night to end! We’re so happy we got to work with Mariko and Stylus DJ, we cannot recommend them enough!

To summarize simply, Mariko is the greatest for so many reasons: her passion, her *chef’s kiss* dance floor management, her professionalism, and the fun she brings. For the longer story: We knew going into our wedding that it was really important to us to have a female DJ (hello underrepresentation), but also that it was really important to work with someone who would have just as much fun as we knew we’d have. We’d contacted Jane at Stylus, who then sent us a number of DJs under her with mixes, among which Mariko was (obviously) a standout. We listened to her wedding mixes and felt like it jived with our tastes, and loved that we became exposed to some new artists and songs. We also liked knowing that Mariko DJs in non-wedding settings too. What really sold us, though, was when we met with Mariko the first time. She is so passionate about what she does. We really wanted to prioritize a packed dance floor above all else, and Mariko immediately picked up on that and threw out some suggestions. More than that, though, we felt that Mariko had a genuine level of investment in us having the best wedding experience (after only having just met us?!), and we couldn’t imagine going with another DJ. The process of getting to the wedding with Mariko was a Type-A person’s dream (and even if you’re not Type A, Mariko is always armed with suggestions): she provided us with a super detailed questionnaire, was insanely responsive to emails, and also offered some thoughts when we asked her to cut some music for us for our entrance and first dance. When we met a couple of weeks before the wedding, Mariko was super detailed and clear about what she needed. She gave us valuable tips and recommendations too! When we saw her on the wedding day we hugged as if we’d been long-time friends, and honestly, it was the perfect way to start off the next phase of the day. Throughout the day, it was clear to us how thoughtfully Mariko created our set lists. She played songs that were very clearly inspired by some of our must plays, did an AMAZING job MCing (to the point where our last song experience remains one of our top moments of the day), and also had so much fun that many of our guests complimented not just her setlist, but also her enjoyment. She’s amazing. Work with her if you have the opportunity!!

A wonderful company to support! We had no idea what we wanted for our wedding music or timeline of events, but they helped guide us. DJ Mariko is absolutely fantastic! We sent a short list of bands/genres we liked and DJ Mariko put together a wonderful playlist. Zach was such a pleasure to work with; he has phenomenal taste and a vast knowledge of many different genres. We tasked Zach with curating a specific vibe and he delivered that and more! We knew we wanted to hear traditional music from both sides of our family and he blended those songs seamlessly into his set. He also pronounced all of the dances and names of our wedding party correctly which was highly appreciated. Zach was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating to our schedule. During and after the wedding, we received a bunch of compliments on how good the music at our party was--the best compliment ever! We highly recommend working with Zach for your next event!!

We are so glad that we found Stylus DJ for our wedding! We didn’t want a typical cheesy or over-the-top DJ. Stylus gave us a great vibe when we came across them in our search and we were excited about supporting a female DJ company! They were so easy to work with throughout the entire process. As we got closer to our date there was a miscommunication with our venue about sound system availability and Jane was so helpful and flexible in working with us to adjust our package to include the necessary speakers and equipment. DJ Amber was amazing for our 9/22/23 wedding! She understood our vibe and was the perfect pick for our music taste. Stylus entertainment was easy to work with and everything went so smoothly on the day of the wedding!

Jen was an amazing DJ! She incorporated our must have wedding songs and was able to match our vibe and create such a fun wedding. We got so many compliments on our DJ and song choices. Highly recommend!

We recently had the pleasure of working the DJ Paul Collins of Stylus DJ Entertainment, and he was awesome. We felt very comfortable with him from the moment we started emailing, to our first face to face zoom planning call, to our actual wedding day. He listened to and fully understood all our requests, and gracefully accepted any additions and changes we wanted to make along the way. We had an incredible dance party with all our favorite tracks thanks to him, and a mellow jazzy cocktail hour, and dinner, which is exactly what we wanted. We would absolutely recommend DJ Paul.

DJ Jen did our wedding and was absolutely fantastic - she did an incredible job taking our music choices and translating them into an all-night playlist. Our guests were on the floor dancing the whole night. She and the Stylus team were great to work with and made what could have been a stressful process instead just east and fun. We had the best experience with Stylus! Jane really helped us figure out a DJ match for what we were envisioning, and DJ Jen was incredible — many of our guests told us she was the best wedding DJ they've ever experienced, and we agree! My husband and I both worked in music/media when we met and music has been a huge part of our story, so we had a lot of thoughts/ideas/must plays — and we were worried that might *a lot* for prospective wedding DJs! But Jen took it all in, filled in the gaps, and assembled a soundtrack for our big night that united both gay pop nerds like us and all my boomer relatives on the dancefloor. Such great attention to detail — I mean, Amy Winehouse's "Tears Dry On Their Own" flowing right into Ariana Grande's "No Tears Left to Cry"?? Inspired!!

Everything was wonderful - Communication was streamlined, clear, and consistent. I was relieved by how fast the team was able to troubleshoot when needed so I felt like I never had to worry. And, most importantly, Jen was an incredible DJ who took the time to get to know us, what we really wanted out of our celebration music. She made our guests feel welcomed and celebrated, too! Highly recommend!
