g when we learned just how extremely unprofessional he was. We could never seem to get the opportunity to speak to him on the phone because he would come up with wild excuses last minute that eventually became too far-fetched for us to sincerely believe. We ultimately canceled our contract with him days before our wedding after reading other poor reviews on Yelp and google that he would cancel last minute on other customers. He was extremely nasty about it. He did not respect our event nor our time. I urge you to stay away from this vendor and read the reviews elsewhere as we experienced the same poor professionalism as others did.

the contact info for Shawn at SubSonic Events. From the very first conversation, we knew we had found our DJ! Shawn was so easy to talk to and his vast experience in the DJ world made us hiring him a no brainier. Then we received our quote and found out that he also had a photo booth…we felt like we were winning the lotto at this point. That was just the tip of the iceberg with the service you get when you hire Shawn.
In the months leading to the wedding, Shawn remained in contact and provided access to his website so that we could start curating our list for the evening. He created a custom monogram for our northern lights theme and even had them on the photos our guest received from the photobooth! He worked with us through all of the indecisiveness and craziness that comes with planning a wedding. He was in constant contact with my fiancé as we had a few last min details and changes for him which he nailed.
Fast forward to the day of the wedding and Shawn killed it. When we walked into our reception for the first time, we were blown away! The monogram we collaborated on was perfect, the photobooth and back drop were perfect…then to top it off, Shawn noticed the reception was missing something, so he brought out his new uplighting to lock in that under the stars, northern lights ambience. This was something extra that he did because he knew the reception would not be the same without it. This is the DJ and entertainment service that everyone needs…not the other big chain services, but the dapper DJ who puts his heart and soul into each event he works.
Then the reception started, and Shawn tore the house down! Everything from the grand entrances, through the end of the night was perfectly curated by a score provided through the turntables of a well-seasoned DJ who knows how to rock a crowd. Our dance floor and photo were both never empty and that is all thanks to the efforts of Shawn and Subsonic events. At the end of the night, Shawn was exactly who we hoped he would be, and we will hire him again without hesitation and anyone reading this should do the same…YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

He kept our guests engaged and towards the end of the night when our guests started to leave, he stayed with us until the very end playing hit after hit and doing karaoke! The sound quality was great and people were out on the dance floor the whole night! Our guests also LOVED the photo booth, and Subsonic provided props, a nice photobook and pens/markers that were were able to use as our guest book. I have a lot of German family that traveled down to be at our wedding, and I was able to send him multiple files of German music and he incorporated them perfectly into our night. I was also able to put together a photo montage that he played throughout the night which was beautiful because it had photos of people that were there, family and friends that couldn't make it and those who have passed. It was touching for a lot of people that watched it! Not to mention, over 95,000 other songs to chose from, as well as being able to personalize so much of the night on my own website portal. He was quick to either answer my emails, phone calls or text messages. I would by far recommend him to anyone in need of a fantastic DJ.
