We had a beautiful, traditional wedding cake and then I also surprised my husband with a groom’s cake that he absolutely loved! Many of our guests complimented our cake, and my husband and I enjoyed eating the top tier when we got home from our honeymoon. Sugar Beats Bake Shop offers a wide range of services. Consultations and cake tastings are available by appointment, affording you the opportunity to share your ideas and inspirations with Ashley. Delicious menu items include custom wedding cakes, cupcakes, mini desserts, and groom’s cakes. You can opt to add on additional services, such as gold foil detail, painted silver or gold detail, and custom cake toppers.

Hello! I am Ashley. I started Sugar Beats Bake Shop in 2010 to provide delicious, well-designed, custom cakes to match any decor at an affordable price. I was a bride once too. I remember the stress of picking vendors who would not let me down on my big day and I want to be that person for you. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Kansas with 15 years of experience as a graphic designer at Hallmark Cards. Never once in the process was there any break in communication or was there a misunderstanding. We had enough cake for 120 people (a 100 person wedding) and left with 4 slices left. It was that good. My mom called me after the wedding and asked me to order her a smaller cake to bring to her it was THAT good. Rave reviews from the entirety of the guests at the design, taste, and presentation of the cake.

irst of all, the cake was incredible. My husband and I both agreed it was one of the best cakes we’ve ever tasted—so delicious and perfectly made. But it wasn’t just the flavor that blew us away. We asked for a vintage and classic design, and Ashley completely nailed it. The cake turned out even more beautiful than I imagined. It was elegant, timeless, and fit our wedding style perfectly.
On top of that, Ashley made the whole planning process so easy. She handled delivery and setup without any stress on our end. When we walked into our reception and saw the cake all set up and picture-perfect, it was such a great moment.
I truly can’t recommend Sugar Beats enough. If you're looking for a wedding cake that tastes as amazing as it looks—and a vendor who’s a total pro—Ashley is the one!

I sent her an inspiration photo for my 3 tier wedding cake and she nailed it.. in fact it turned out better than my inspiration photo!! For our grooms cake we chose red velvet. She asked how we wanted it decorated and I really had no idea. I told her we were doing a Kentucky Derby themed brunch the next morning so she could tie in that theme. Sent her a photo of a horse shoe with a red rose and she created a masterpiece!! The best grooms cake I could have ever imagined. Her prices are great, her communication was fantastic!! We had 4 different flavors of cake and some of our guests went back for 4ths.. just to try them all! We loved her cake so much we already agreed we will celebrate our anniversary every year with one of her 4 inch rounds. Thank you for the attention to detail and being a part of our special day! From our cake tasting, to the design, the flavors, and the other dessert options to offer, Ashley offered great advice at every step of the way, and her advice was right on. We weren't sure how much cake our group would need, and she gently advised us that we could probably get away with a little less (I think we ended up doing a cake that yielded 130 slices instead of 154, which was perfect--we had maybe 10-12 pieces left, which our family happily ate in the day or two after the wedding). We also needed help figuring out what we wanted the cake for our New Year's Eve wedding to look like, and she came up with a beautiful design of different textures of buttercream with fun accents--gold spheres and flowers and feathers!--that we would never have dreamed up but absolutely loved! Thank you for everything, Ashley!!!
