Something we ran into at other tastings was that the cakes were beautiful, but they either missed the mark on taste, or were completely out of budget. Sugar Beats checked all of the boxes for us! DELICIOUS cake, gorgeous, and didn’t break the bank!

we had the option for 120/130 slices, just under 100 people came to the wedding and the entire cake was gone. Thank goodness the caterers thought to save us a remaining slice lol From the beginning to the end she really was just too great to work with. Very professional and helped guide us to build our dream wedding cake. We for sure plan to hit her up in the future for a large speciality cake order :)

I sent her an inspiration photo for my 3 tier wedding cake and she nailed it.. in fact it turned out better than my inspiration photo!! For our grooms cake we chose red velvet. She asked how we wanted it decorated and I really had no idea. I told her we were doing a Kentucky Derby themed brunch the next morning so she could tie in that theme. Sent her a photo of a horse shoe with a red rose and she created a masterpiece!! The best grooms cake I could have ever imagined. Her prices are great, her communication was fantastic!! We had 4 different flavors of cake and some of our guests went back for 4ths.. just to try them all! We loved her cake so much we already agreed we will celebrate our anniversary every year with one of her 4 inch rounds. Thank you for the attention to detail and being a part of our special day! I wouldn’t have changed a thing!!

From our cake tasting, to the design, the flavors, and the other dessert options to offer, Ashley offered great advice at every step of the way, and her advice was right on. We weren't sure how much cake our group would need, and she gently advised us that we could probably get away with a little less (I think we ended up doing a cake that yielded 130 slices instead of 154, which was perfect--we had maybe 10-12 pieces left, which our family happily ate in the day or two after the wedding). We also needed help figuring out what we wanted the cake for our New Year's Eve wedding to look like, and she came up with a beautiful design of different textures of buttercream with fun accents--gold spheres and flowers and feathers!--that we would never have dreamed up but absolutely loved! Thank you for everything, Ashley!!!

Our guests LOVED the extra desserts - cup akes, Baked Apple Roses, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Shooters and Bailey's Cookies & Cream Parfaits. 10/10 recommend Sugar Beats Bake Shop! We were able to order our custom cake topper as well and not have to worry about that separately! We also appreciated the fact that they offered a tasting (which was more like a feast tbh! They had 4 mini cakes in our preferred flavors.) We were enamored by their Red Velvet (his favorite) and Pink Champagne (My Favorite!) We rounded it out with the ever popular white wedding almond to give our guests some cupcake variety! Ashley was super easy to work with and talk to, and was very receptive of our request to try and dye the red velvet purple, and the cupcakes blue/pink/ and purple as well. It was also a relief that although they were generally closed- that they were willing to do our Monday wedding. They rent a huge variety of beautiful stands, take care of the decorating of the cake table on the day of, AND allow you to leave cake toppers/flowers/signs with them in advance so you literally don't have to worry about a thing cake related. And speaking of cake- not only did it turn out gorgeous, it was DELICIOUS! We got so many compliments on the cupcakes and are still eating the leftovers. We super appreciate Ashley's offer to provide a small cake on her client's anniversary as well- vs freezing it. I truly want to appreciate her baking in it's best quality! Between our deposit and our wedding, I have either ordered cupcakes for other events or picked up a cup of cake crumbles a handful of times. I just know we will be back next year for our year and a day ceremony and then time and time again after that whenever we have a need for delicious cake! I truly regret that I don't have a photo of the cake table to add, but will have to add one once we get our professional photos back. Thank you Ashley- and see you soon!

Our guests raved that it was some of the best cake they had ever had! Ashley has an artistic background and designed a beautiful cake topper for us, too. She was very flexible when we wanted to make changes to flavors and quantities, and she was easy to communicate with.
