I could not ask for more, Shirley from Sugar Snap did an amazing job at oir wedding, she did everything that ive asked for and more. She is the first one ive talked to, she made me feel so comfortable that i did not even tried to talk to anyone else. We live in PA, and got married in OBX NC. so our communication was mostly through email, She is very creative and she new exactly what i invision from flowers to decorations, i met her staff the day of the wedding and everyone was so nice, they did suck a great job that we got so many compliments from our guest, i definitely recommend Sugar Snaps to everyone to everyone. Thank you Shirley and Sugar Snap for making our wedding day so amazingly beautyful and memorable.

Shirley was everything I didn't know I needed and then some! She took such care into making sure that I had every aspect of the "vibe" I was going for before signing our contract. She took the tidbits of what I provided and created such a breathtaking arch, beautiful bouquets and perfect centerpieces for our wedding; it was so much more than I could've imagined. I planned my Outer Banks wedding at the Mark Twain House from my home in Connecticut. I did a lot of research before going with Sugar Snap Events and I am so glad I did. Shirley was incredibly responsive & able to answer ALL of my questions (there were a lot) about the flowers for our wedding. I had an idea in my head of what I wanted, but didn’t want to spend an arm & a leg. Shirley made my vision a reality. Our flowers were beautiful! I highly recommend using Sugar Snap Events!

Shirley was fantastic. I loved her whole process. She started by getting to know me and my style and any wishes I had about the design of the wedding. My challenge was that I was not a flower person and was looking to keep things simple and affordable. I was nervous she would be frustrated with me, but she was awesome. I gave her a budget and she kept to it. Never pressured me and treated me like her only client. On my wedding day, I was so pleased with what she did. It was more beautiful than I imagined and looked like we spent much more than we did. We went with beach formal feel, nudes, shells, a it rustic but classy. She nailed it and was a pleasure to work with.

I partnered with Shirley and her team for a wedding I planned at the Kitty Hawk Pier House on 7-17-17. I don't know where to begin on praising this wonderful woman and her team. I've never worked a wedding in the Outer Banks, nor was I familiar with the area at all, so when I hired Shirley I told her all of this and she went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure I knew all of the ins and outs of the area and area vendors to confidently move forward in hiring the best A team possible for the bride and groom. She responded to all (and there were MANY!) emails extremely promptly and with copious amounts of detail and friendliness. She was equally as determined as I to make everything beyond perfect for this family's wedding day. I told her at one point she was the Fairy Godmother in real life, and especially after seeing her hard work come to life yesterday evening, I stand by that statement more than ever. The florals and decor were perfectly placed and knit together to immerse the guests in a soft beach look without ever being "TOO much" beachiness. Every step of the way, Shirley was there. It felt like working with someone I had known for years. Like a trusted friend. Future OBX brides, grooms, wedding planners: Shirley is your girl. Look no further! I promise you, she will not disappoint!

My husband and I got married two weekends ago at Jennette's Pier and used Shirley Cook with Sugar Snap Events as our florist for the wedding. She was absolutely AMAZING!!! This woman is a true genius in her field and knows everything there is to know about floral arrangements. As the first bride-to-be in the family, this entire process, especially in regards to florals, was completely new to all of us. Shirley helped us every step of the way, always responding to emails in a timely fashion and answering our billions of questions with ease. She even coordinated with I Do OBX to help with ceremony decor, as well. When our wedding day finally arrived, I was amazed at the decorations and bouquets that she had created for our event. They were absolutely BEAUTIFUL and exceeded every single expectation of mine! Shirley Cook is worth every single penny you will spend, trust me!! If you want the wedding of your dreams, then I would highly recommend Sugar Snap for your next event! :)

Had such a blast planning the look of our wedding with Shirley at Sugar Snap Events. She was professional, fun, and incredibly easy to work with. The flowers were beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Shirley was a delight to work with from the moment we met her. My mom was ready to book her within a few minutes of our first conversation. We described our vision for our altar for our beach wedding, and she immediately drew a mock-up of the entire thing. We were incredibly impressed by her follow-through and dedication. We got married during Hurricane Matthew, and the Tuesday before our Saturday wedding we were unsure if we were even going through with it. People like Shirley ensured that not only would we get married, but it would also still be beautiful even if indoors. She was at our venue the morning of and brought all of her extra materials since our location had abruptly changed. Even though we were now indoors instead of on the beach, she made adjustments and created the altar and atmosphere we had envisioned. She has a stellar personality and you cannot go wrong with Shirley.

Amazing florist and decorator! I literally teared up when I walked into our reception venue and saw how beautiful it looked! When I first contacted Shirley, she took the time to talk to me and find out what I wanted. After looking at my Pinterest board, she created an amazing plan with options for me to choose from. We had the most beautiful atmosphere and flowers! I highly recommend working with Shirley! Beautiful work!

Shirley is AMAZING. She captured the ideas in my head perfectly - my bouquet was unlike anything I had ever seen before, and she was so accommodating for my destination wedding in the Outer Banks. She's super chill and astoundingly talented at what she does. Choosing her for flowers and event design was the easiest and best decision I made in the wedding planning process. We love Shirley!!!

What can I say other then absolutely gorgeous! I know absolutely nothing about flowers and I was able to throw out a jumble of words and pictures to Shirley and she gave me exactly what I wanted and more. Just beautiful. Amazing to work with, flowers we so fresh and vibrant, great communication and right on the money. You will not be disappointed. My flowers we the talk of my wedding and rightfully so!

The flowers and decor were just gorgeous! I am still in awe with Shirley's ability to take a couple of my examples and bring them to life. I couldn't have been happier! She was also very responsive and very easy to work with and making sure I stayed within my budget. Thank you so much!! I can't wait to see our pictures!

Shirley did the floral and lighting decor for my wedding. She also provides the decorated arch for the ceremony. My wedding took place during Hurricane Hermine so everything had to be set up indoors rather than on the beach as initially planned. Everything turned out beautiful, and I loved it!

I cannot say enough about this company. I used Shirley for flowers and Laura for planning. They were both professional and amazing. They made me feel at ease and went the extra mile when needed to help me make decisions. Everyone getting married in OBX should work with these two.

Shirley is an all around amazing person. She constantly helped me through the process and the many times I changed my mind! She met with me and my husband many times throughout the process and this helped us be at ease with everything. The flowers were beautiful and SO fresh. A++++++

Shirley was absolutely amazing to work with. She provided flowers for my wedding party and I, centerpiece and décor flowers, and set up a lot of the wedding decor. The flowers and decor she provided were absolutely beautiful!!! She really helped me make my vision come alive and was super creative and helping me figure out what that vision was. She was absolutely amazing to work with and was super personable, creative, and responsive. She was super helpful during the planning process and always promptly replied to my emails (and I sent A LOT). My wedding wouldn’t have been as perfect without Shirley. It was perfect!!! Shirley was so wonderful. After having an awful experience with a more local-to-me florist, she so graciously met me on a Saturday morning (two days after I contacted her) with several BOOKS of what she had done. She took all my notes, and even some things that I wanted but didn't say, and made the most beautiful arrangements. We've been married for over two weeks and we still have a bouquet that is thriving!

Shirley was so enjoyable to work with! She was extremely personable, flexible and prepared our bouquets and boutonnieres perfectly. The bouquets were beyond my imagination!! I had a great feeling that she would put together exactly what I envisioned just by taking to her, but they were even better than what I had pictured! I cannot recommend Sugar Snap events enough for any of your flower/decorating needs!

Shirley at Sugar Snap Events was absolutely fantastic to work with in planning my daughter's 9/27/14 OBX wedding! Between our locations of Ohio, Virginia and the OBX, planning was a lot of e-mail, a couple of phone sessions and even Pinterest sharing. Shirley captured Lauren's vision for what she wanted for her wedding and brought it to life - - from her bridal bouquet to the hydrangea centerpieces in nautical roped vases to the navy and white paper lantern backdrop behind the sweetheart table to the bistro lights on the pool deck. The huppah on the beach with the beautiful white draping and greenery and then the coral sand scrolling down the center aisle for the ceremony itself were perfect as well. She's a pleasure to work with, is very responsive and provides creative ideas and alternatives to ensure the bride's happy (and her mother too). I wished we lived closer so I could have the pleasure of working with Shirley again - she's a gem for sure! ** I've also posted this review on the OBXWA's page for their associated vendors as well **

Shirley did an amazing job on the flowers for our wedding! The bouquet was more than I could have hoped for and the flowers and decorations at our dinner were AMAZING, everyone commented on what a beautiful job she did! She was great to work with throughout the entire process! She was easy to talk to about concerns and ideas and ALWAYS got back to me the same day! Sugar Snap Events did a great job for our wedding and I would recommend them to anyone!

Working with Shirley from Sugar Snap Events was such a delightful experience. I didn't have a huge budget for flowers but she was able to get me the flowers I wanted and work them in with my budget. Shirley was so sweet and so kind and helped me make sure I had every single detail the way I wanted it to be.
