s needed to be hemmed, the shoulder straps needed to be shortened, the bust needed to be taken in, and we needed to add a bustle. Tara and her team took care of everything perfectly, and I received so many compliments on my beautiful gown on my wedding day! My guests and I loved visiting the studio for my fittings, and Tara was very detail-oriented, making sure everything fit just right. She took the time to teach us how to bustle the dress and recommended that we take a video (which ended up being super helpful for the day of the wedding!). Scheduling was super easy, and they were even able to accommodate a last minute switch in appointment times for one fitting due to inclement weather.

was nervous would be an understatement. Tara added the perfect touches and took such great care of my dress and turned it to perfection!! She also added simple hearts for my mother and grandmother and my elopement date. She made a special tie for my father! And used my mothers old wedding dress and made her an hanky! Everything was exceptional!! I am 100% going to use them again!

ere!! The whole experience was amazing- they made me feel comfortable and confident in my dress and adjusted it in all the right places. I had a very long and difficult train as it was all tulle, they were able to bustle my dress exactly like I had imagined to keep the shape line the same- bustled or not. My mother even took her wedding dress here for them to make it into a getting ready robe for me on my big day. I was so special and they did such a good job maintaining the style of my moms dress and converting it into a robe. Everything they have done for me has been above and beyond. I could not recommend them enough!!

It was also ordered a bit on the small side, which made me quite anxious initially as it didn’t look at all how I remembered when trying it on in the bridal store. It took 3 appointments to get right, but in the end it’s perfect! Throughout the process, I felt in great hands with Tara, and I want to give a special shout-out to Jo who made a suggestion for an alteration that ended up fixing the biggest problem area. Tara and her team were also super helpful and sweet about including my mom via FaceTime because of covid. I’m only living in Asheville temporarily but if I was here long term, I would definitely return for alterations and would 100% recommend sugarcane studio to all my friends and family!

and I never felt rushed. She also helped me FaceTime my mom during my final fitting, took photos so that I could send them to my friends, and just made the whole process special and fun. BUT what stands out is the incredible job they did on my dress. It fit like a glove when they were done with it. I have a large bust and small waist, and I have never worn a strapless garment until my wedding day. The dress stayed up all night, through dancing, running around outside for the photographer, eating a giant plate of food and a giant piece of cake - everything. I originally planned on taping my boobs, but the boning they added to the dress made it unnecessary. So thankful to Sugarcane!

e most extravagant thing I’ve ever splurged on for myself and I was so nervous about the process to alter it to my body. I did an initial consult with Tara and was blown away by how she could paint the perfect picture for me on her plans. My dress could not have fit any better in every way the day of my wedding. She also did a fantastic job putting some special touches on my groom’s and father’s ties. Thank you for taking away a big worry and helping me enjoy my wedding day!

for each appointment! I had sleeves added and they were not only gorgeous, but looked as though they had always been a part of the gown, they were so seamless. She also helped my sister with correcting some issues her bridal salon’s seamstress had made with our mother’s veil that she wore for her wedding (we got married six weeks apart from each other), and even created a new modesty panel for her on the fly and arranged for it to be ready in time for her wedding after her dissatisfaction with the one that came with the dress came up just a week prior at one of my last fittings, making her a complete superhuman lifesaver. Beyond all that she was incredibly kind, funny, and patient with me throughout the process, and quick to offer input and advice when I had any questions. Simply put you won’t find a better seamstress anywhere else!

My sister's bridesmaids dress was altered in 3 days due to her just having a baby the week before the wedding. Customer service and pricing is excellent, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for alterations.

I wanted the best. My dress has the handkerchief skirt from Hayley Paige so it isn't common and she worked hard to make sure nothing changed the style of the dress during the alterations process. She makes you feel very comfortable during the appointments and I truly trusted her 1000%
