Suki's Bridal and Formal

. The lady measured her and told her she was in between sizes. She told her to order bigger size as it could always be taken up. Her dress came in and she went to pick it up and try on. The dress was way to small. She was told to buy the proper under garments and it would help. My mom told her that she didn’t think the would fit cause dress was so tight. They gave her the name of a seamstress. She called the seamstress and went to her and she said no way to let out enough to fight properly. My mom went back to Sukis and was told by owner that she had gained at least 15 pounds since she ordered dress. My mom told her that she had not gained any weight. The owner of the store told my mom that her lady who measures people does not make mistakes that she was to blame due to weight gain. She offered to let her pick from two dresses off rack, however, neither of them worked as they were not lavender. My mom asked for her mom back, but they refused. Please be careful doing business with this place!!

my high school HOCO dress. This was our first experience at Suki’s and we thought we try it out. The place was full of pretty dresses and they had other shoppers in the store. Upon entering, we were greeted but then followed by the attendant throughout the entire store. I enjoy being helped but it was very apparent that we were being followed because of the color of our skin instead of them wanting to help. The attendant stood close by at all times and didn’t give us a chance to browse in peace. She stood on top of us like a hawk and it was very uncomfortable. My mother and I observed this and cut our visit at Suki’s short. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth and overall disappointed. Being followed in a store based on the color of your skin is always a humiliating experience. As a WOC, I wouldn’t spend my money here based on that memorable experience with this company.

employees greeted me at the door, they immediately asked what I was looking for and we got started. It took about 10 tries and I had found my dress!!! When you purchase your dress, they give you the vail and steam your dress before the wedding for free.

The ladies asked how the planning was coming everytime I stopped in and even helped me find the perfect jewelry and custom dyed shoes for me wedding day. Upon final pickup of my dress I received a coupon for gown preservation. Would recommend this wonderful boutique to anyone!
