Summer Harsh Botanical Artistry

I've seen Summer's beautiful work on other weddings and events, and I knew she would do a great job on my wedding, but I wasn't prepared for all of the gorgeous details she put into the flowers and decorations. When we met with Summer to discuss the decorations, she understood my vision entirely. I let her know that I was interested in an earthy, organic, natural, sophisticated vibe. She went above and beyond in every aspect - from the spectacular arrangements at the ceremony, to the use of fresh and dried lavender in my bouquet tied with the extra ribbon that was used in my hair style, to the unique centerpieces at the reception, everywhere you looked had a beautiful and thoughtful touch. The centerpieces at the reception incorporated not only flowers, but stones, moss, candles, succulents and birch. Everything together added to the warm, natural, relaxed atmosphere that I wanted for my special day. Summer is prompt, courteous, professional, and has a great eye for inventive, sophisticated décor. I would recommend her to anyone who is open to giving her a little direction and allowing her creativity to expand your vision for your event.

We started working with Summer in 2009 when planning my olderst daughter's 2010 July outdoor wedding in Cumberland, WI; following up the next year with my second daughter's October 2011 barn wedding in River Falls at the Larson Barn. She does amazingly crative work that simply awed our guests and both were uniquely different reflecting their individual themes. It was with great honor that I got to call Summer this August to once again design for us...this time for my 1st grandchild's baby shower!

Working with Summer was great. She's very friendly and creative-I had a basic idea of a vision for my wedding flowers and she executed it perfectly. The flowers were beautiful and never once did she try to propose anything out of my budget which I find really important and a sign of respect. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to Summer!

Summer was easy to work with and does an amazing job! I specified some flowers I wanted to include in my bouquets, she confirmed they would work, and then told her to do what she feels best. She definitely did not disappoint and my flowers ended up being one of my favorite parts of my wedding. She even (with my consent) added lilacs from her yard that were blooming that day!

Summer was wonderful to work with. She had great ideas to help make my vision be realized within budget. She was open, patient and flexible as my bridal brain set in and I made changes and tweaks to what I wanted, how much I wanted, etc. The bouquets and other flowers were absolutely gorgeous. In addition, the flowers at the reception and how she set up... well, I couldn't have asked for more, and was beyond my expectations. It makes me smile just thinking about them. THANKS SUMMER!

My daughter wanted a more natural look for her bouquet and the bridesmaids. She didn't want a tight look of just flowers. Summer used elements from nature along with the flowers. The look was unique and received many compliments. This was a winter wedding and was beautiful. She created a baby's breath ball for the center of the dance floor. I loved her creativity and she cared about our budget!

I gave Summer my budget and wedding colors along with a few ideas I had and she handled everything else. We met once in person and then corresponded through phone and email. The flowers turned out beautiful and I feel like we got our money's worth!

Summer was one of our favorite vendors that we used for our wedding. She is a true artist! She is fun and very easy to work with. She is open to ideas and listened to what we wanted, but she would always be honest with us if we asked for her opinion on whether something would look better one way or another. We showed her some pictures of things we liked and told her about an idea we had for some of the centerpieces. We didn't know what they would come out looking like until the day of the wedding, and they were perfect! They looked even better than we imagined they would. The same was with the bridesmaids bouquets. We showed her types of flowers we liked, and told her what colors we wanted to use, but didn't know what they would actually look like. Again, they were even better than what I hoped for. We got so many compliments on the beautiful flowers and we are so happy we went with Summer. She is amazing!

Summer will give you the BEST flowers imaginable. Just give her some ideas of what you want, and let her creative juices flow. Believe me, it will be better than anything you could come up with!

I had a few bad experiences trying to shop for a florist but once I met Summer I knew that she was perfect. She listened to what I wanted and that is what I got! Professional and nice.
