When I was looking for a wedding planner I did hours of research and emailed countless planners. I wound up interviewing somewhere between 8-10 planners because I had a clear vision for my wedding, but knew I was going to be so busy that I wouldn’t be able to handle many of the details (including meetings) myself. I wanted someone who I was confident understood my vision and could execute it, but would also remain calm when things went crazy and keep my anxiety at bay. It was also really important to me that I work with someone who was a good person and who would make my wedding about what it truly should be – love! Summer was the last planner I interviewed and I was immediately heart struck. Summer has an infectious personality and is one of the most soothing individuals I know. From that first call she exuded a sense of calm and professionalism that stood apart from any of the planners I had talked to. Summer immediately offered value and counsel, but once we really started working together I was blown away. She walked me through finding vendors, handled calls and some site visits for me, and helped me budget and make decisions. The planning process with Summer was a joy and a breeze as she is extremely organized and great at keeping you up to date. Summer was also timely in responding to my communications and never made me doubt her skills. On the big day, Summer and her team worked SO incredibly hard. I should start by noting that my day went perfectly because of their work. In the morning, Summer handled my challenging family and friends like a pro (for example, two grandmas deciding that morning that they too needed professional makeup and hair). Later in the day she managed to adjust the timing of the caterers when traffic delayed our ceremony. Summer set up all of my décor and details (which were many) to perfection. Additionally, despite working with countless logistical challenges (like moving 100 chairs in between the ceremony and reception), she managed to transition the reception and cocktail hour smoothly. In the end, she ensured that we were able to enjoy our entire wedding without ever finding out about snafus which allowed us and our guests truly enjoy our wedding and focus on the reason we had gathered (love!) without lifting a finger. I also truly appreciated how she and her team worked with a smile on their face the whole time (even when I saw them running around and getting their cardio for the day to make sure everything was perfect!). Somewhere in between my 90th email and her unzipping my wedding dress corset, I made a lifelong friend. I’m so grateful for Summer and I hope you readers hire her. You won’t regret it. She is worth 10 times what she charges.

Summer creates absolute magic! She has such an incredible eye for detail and nothing goes unseen! Not only is her work impeccable but she is the best to work with. I so enjoy my time spent with her planning and getting to know one another! Her work is really out of this world and grateful for her and her time!!!! Feel lucky to have met and worked with her.

Summer is unbelievable!! The time, effort, and thought that she puts into a wedding day is unmatched. She is professional, caring, and extremely talented. Her eye for detail definitely sets her apart. I have had such a wonderful experience working with Summer and I recommend her 100%!

What can we say? From the moment we spoke with Summer, we felt instantly good with her. She is very calm, extremely organized, and had a way of understanding our vision to the point that she knew our style more than even we did. Every idea she passed our way based on our discussion was an instant hit. Summer also kept within resources and helped us think outside the box to achieve what we wanted. She has relationships with other vendors that we would have never found on our own (or it would have taken a long time to find them) and everyone in her camp was great to work with. Summer has a way of making people comfortable and in the end we feel like we gained a friend. Weddings can be stressful with all the ideas you see on Pinterest, blogs, etc. and one could quickly feel like they won't have a nice wedding. I never felt that way though..we were able to have everything we envisioned! Summer is very professional and our wedding day went off without issue. She even sent us to our hotel room with items from our dessert bar which was so much fun to enjoy the next day! Also, she kept us on our timeline, and helped us think of things we normally wouldn't on our own (tips to the vendors, signage needed, timeline norms, budget estimates - which were very accurate!). We are so pleased with Summer's work AND the value, combined with her humility and kindness, outweighed anyone else we could have hired. So grateful!

SUMMER IS EVERYTHING. And more! Literally stop searching for a wedding planner or coordinator now and just hire this amazing woman. She made my best wedding dreams come true. Summer Newman is worth her weight in gold - I don’t even know how to write this review because there are so many good things to say. I’ll h give bulletpoints below but let me start by saying this review is totally honest, Summer was my month-of wedding coordinator a few months ago for our May wedding, and no I didn’t know her beforehand or anything, I just found her right here on the knot ...reading througendless reviews like you ladies are, looking for a kind, capable, stress free person or help us handle our wedding. And boy are we lucky we picked Summer. All the other reviews here sing the same praise. Everyone loves Summer! 1. Her price is incredibly fair, she could probably charge 3x as much for the time and quality she will give you, but she keeps her prices super fair and affordable. I couldnt afford a lot of the planners out there in my $30k total wedding budget, so I was so appreciative Summer had multiple packages at affordable prices. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them go up, she delivers WAY more value than the price. To her it’s really a labor of love. 2. My wedding would have been 10x more stressful without Summer. She knows all the best vendors in LA and will negotiate (and renegotiate) the best prices for you. She will even go back 3 or 4 times to a vendor to price match or find the best package deals - she’ll go above and beyond to get your the vendors you need within your budget. 3. She is super respectful of your budget. She never tried to get you to spend money you don’t want to, and even tho I know she’s worked on $100k weddings I never felt judged for my $30k backyard wedding - I always felt like she loved and supported my ideas and needs. 4. She keeps you on track. She prevents you from getting bogged down in details. She remembers EVERYTHING so you don’t have to worry about forgetting anything. She is super prompt and gently persistent without ever being overbearing or overwhelming. She is a genuinely kind and caring person who wants you to have the best wedding, and will work tirelessly to make it happen. 5. She’ll just go above and beyond in everything. 6. She is calm and collected and never seems stressed 7. She will be like a magic ninja on your wedding day, making sure you have everything you need, you get everywhere you need to go, all your vendors are where they need to be, that the ceremony runs on time, and that there are no wrinkles in your linens. Seriously she will be everywhere doing everything the day of but somehow you hardly even see her - it just feels like your day flows effortlessly bc she is taking care of all the effort behind the scenes. Without her, the day of my wedding I would have been calling my bridesmaids to see where they were, trying to figure out why the Westin canceled our hotel reservation at the last minute (yup day of the wedding turns out they lost my hotel reservation for that night, but I never even knew!), where to put the rental toilets, why the cheese board was missing, does everyone have their corsages, is there a seat saved for my parents, etc. etc. etc. You don’t want to worry about all that stuff. With Summer at the helm you never need to. I would absolutely hire her again, and I encourage you to check her out. She’s the real deal. You won’t regret it. Even my hard to please parents are (still) in love with her. I was legit kinda sad when the wedding was over and we stopped working together. Like....if I could hire her to manage my life I would. Summer was a godsend! I interviewed many coordinators in my wedding planning process and knew I had a winner when I talked to Summer. She helped turn my dream wedding into reality, helped me deal with less-than-pleasant vendors, and was there for me when I needed someone to vent to. She was INSANELY affordable for the amount of work she did, and she went above and beyond my expectations of a day-of coordinator. I have recommended her to all of my engaged friends and I recommend her to anyone reading this review. You cannot go wrong with hiring this amazing woman.

I truly cannot thank Summer enough for her amazing planning skills and unfathomable ability to remain calm through anything and everything that happens around a wedding! I feel so fortunate that I found her to help me plan my destination wedding in Santa Barbara. Summer introduced me to all the local vendors I would need and provided me excellent advice on everything from table design, florals, to putting together a blended ceremony (Hindu and Western). I was able to be completely composed on my wedding day thanks to her and her team guiding us and helping us through it all. The entire day turned out exactly as I had envisioned and I credit Summer for truly listening and understanding what I wanted. I honestly cannot say enough great things about her. As a bride, I was truly lucky to have Summer in my corner!

After searching high and low for the perfect wedding coordinator, (looked at, at least 20 other coordinators, pricing, and what their packages entailed and conducted phone interviews to get a vibe of their personalities) we found Summer, and we are beyond happy that we did! From her awesome personality to her flawless execution, our wedding planning and wedding day went without a hitch. Summer truly went above and beyond her call of duty, from accommodating our crazy schedules to professionally dealing with a difficult venue coordinator-she did it ALL, swiftly and immediately. Since our big day, we have been recommending Summer to our closest friends and family who are in the process of planning their own wedding. If you want to fully enjoy your day, and not worry about a thing, hire Summer!!!

Hiring Summer is one of the best choices I made for my wedding. She literally saved my wedding from being chaos. I could have had melt down if I didn't have her. My mom didn't think I would need a coordinator in the beginning but she changed her mind after seeing how hardworking and professional Summer was on my wedding. She cared about my wedding even more than I did. She even cared about details that I would have missed. Everybody(including our couple) loved her being there for us. She also brought fantastic assistants. I cannot thank her enough. If anybody is looking for a wedding coordinator, she is an excellent excellent choice!

Summer outdid herself! She took my simple idea of a small intimate backyard family wedding on a budget and made it into a fairytale. It was awesome working with her as she had many ideas, she was very organized, she was on time and very professional. Being a first-time bride there are many uncertainties that you have about the process and the outcome of the events surrounding the ceremony and she eased all fears with her calming spirit and her know-how. She coordinated with all my vendors taking that stress off my shoulders and included my friends and family in the decor planning and setup of the wedding peacefully (which is no easy feat in my family). When my husband and I had different opinions on something she was able to help us find that happy median. She was very respectful of our small budget and still made it look like we spent and million dollars! There are many vendors out there that love her too and seem to be open do things out of the box for her events. If you're thinking about getting married or planning any event, you should strongly consider talking to her!

Summer is absolutely the BEST! She went way above and beyond to make everything more perfect than I could ever imagine! Summer was always there for me and she made the entire wedding planning and the wedding stress free!!! After the wedding, our guests and my mother in law couldn't stop talking about what an organized and gorgeous wedding that Summer planned and they were really impressed by her professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the planning process, I was really impressed by her knowledge, reputation and connection with a wide variety of vendors! Most importantly everyone has worked with her just loves her. I don't think I can ever say enough about what a great planner Summer is! We were so lucky to have Summer plan our wedding. She made our day perfect!!!

Summer is the BEST!!! I could feel how much she truly cared about our wedding and it showed in so many ways. She went above and beyond for us from beginning to end (and even after that! lol). If you're in the LA area and need an event coordinator, look no further. We hired Summer for our July 2016 wedding after some debate -- not debate over Summer, but over whether we needed a coordinator at all. Looking back, that seems so naive now. We had no idea how complicated planning a wedding could be, nor did we fully understand the complexities of our specific day -- two separate venues with a la carte vendors, top to bottom. If we didn't have Summer, we quite literally wouldn't have pulled it off. She was prompt, professional and thoughtful and stayed on top of every detail while also giving us a friendly nudge to make decisions when we stalled. She negotiated with just about every vendor, always pushing to get us fair prices and the customizations we needed. And she's a tremendous problem solver (something you will want as the day of your event draws near and unexpected issues inevitably arise). For example, I showed up an hour late for the pre-wedding photographs, etc., only to discover I'd forgotten my shoes. There was no way I could get back home to grab them in time. I was a wreck. But Summer stayed cool and made arrangements with a third party to swing by my apartment and race them over to us. It was amazing. For reasons like that one, and many many more, I give Summer Newman my fullest recommendation for anyone looking for a skilled, very capable coordinator.

Summer went above and beyond the call of duty as our wedding coordinator. She graced us with her extensive wedding knowledge and everything in between. I have no idea what we would have done without every little detail she thought of and reminded us of. Working with her was a joy and such a blessing. Our wedding day was everything I dreamed of and that would not have happened without Summer! Praise the Lord for creating her and all the talents she possesses!

Working with Summer in the past when I was a private caterer, I knew that she would be my first choice to be my day-of wedding coordinator for my own wedding. She's just a wonderful person to work with. She went above and beyond as our coordinator. She's an absolute professional, has the patience to work with brides that are easy going to those that are bridezillas. And with her experience she knows exactly what needs to be done and the means to take care of it. She even provided me with goals to meet leading up to our wedding. I can't say enough great things about her! I would recommend her to anyone!

Summer is a wonderful person and really on top of her game! Our ceremony and reception were in different locations, so we hired her to set up and manage the reception. She was very conscious of and in tune with our needs, and the best thing was that we didn't have to worry about a thing. As far as we know, everything was perfect! We had a meeting and a few calls to go over the schedule and details. Summer picked up all of the reception items including the place cards, guest book, and wedding favors during the week of the ceremony - so we didn't even have to think about it. She went to the venue a couple of weeks prior to get the lay of the land and to introduce herself to the staff. All questions were asked and answered beforehand, so on the day of, she just handled everything. She set everything up, and made sure guests knew where to go and what to do. She checked in with us throughout the evening and helped us grab people for photos, cake cutting, etc. And she handled all of our clean-up as well! We must admit that we were not originally planning on having a coordinator, but we are so glad that we did. Because of Summer, we were able to relax and enjoy the reception, and focus on spending time with our family and friends. We didn't have to worry about anything at all. She far exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend her to anyone that wants someone reliable, helpful and kind!

Summer was such a blessing for us! It was clear from our first meeting that she was the experienced and knowledgeable wedding planner that we needed to ensure a fabulous wedding. She helped us carry forward the vision that we had and also opened our eyes to really great ideas that we had not previously thought of. She was resourceful, helped find excellent, affordable vendors and did so much leg work HERSELF just to help us keep our budget in tact. We originally hired Summer as a day of coordinator, but she offered so much help and support she became much more of a full coordinator for us. Summer knows about all the little details that we didn't know about and steered us in the right direction. She went above and beyond helping us and making sure we had an amazing wedding.
