Located in Summerfield, NC, Summerfield Farms is a picturesque wedding venue situated on over 600 acres of rolling green farmland. A charmingly rustic escape just a short drive from downtown Greensboro, this venue is the perfect backdrop for any wedding.
Summerfield Farms has a long and celebrated history as a prosperous working farm, thriving among groves of tall, leafy oak trees. In the 1930s, the Gamble family owned the property, where they grew tobacco and raised cows in the fields. In 1946 they built the large barn, which remains on the grounds today. David Couch acquired the property in 1998. He modernized the farm by introducing holistic management techniques and restoring the buildings on the property to be used as event spaces and luxury lodgements. Today, Summerfield Farms is home to barn houses, cozy cottages, and sprawling patios that can accommodate large and small weddings.
At Summerfield Farms, there are plenty of indoor and outdoor ceremony sites to choose from based on the size of your party. There are two luxury farmhouse suites for the wedding party to use as get-ready areas, and you will have access to the venue all day. They can provide tables and cross-back chairs for up to 150 guests, and their team will take care of setup, breakdown, and cleanup at the end of the night. Their on-site event specialist will work with you through the planning phase up until the wedding itself, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. All wedding packages include a two-hour rehearsal slot to run through your ceremony ahead of time and a three-hour timeframe for a photo session.

Summerfield Farms was an absolutely perfect setting for our event. From the well-manicured pasture and beautiful barns to the thoughtfully appointed homes where the bridal party spent the day getting ready, every detail contributed to a seamless and memorable experience. The location was not only stunning but also easily accessible for all our guests. The staff on-site were professional, helpful, and ensured everything ran smoothly. Setup was completed on time and never felt rushed, allowing us to focus on enjoying the day. Communication with 1618, the exclusive caterer, was excellent throughout the planning process, and the food they delivered exceeded expectations, many guests personally shared how delicious everything was. The terrace created an ideal atmosphere for cocktail hour, and the tented space for dinner and dancing offered a beautiful and comfortable setting for our guests to celebrate. Overall, the experience was exceptional from start to finish.

We had our wedding on July 19, 2025. We had our rehearsal dinner at the Pole Barn and our ceremony at the Main Barn. The weekend was absolutely perfect. From the on-site housing for our bridal party to the incredible staff, our wedding day was seamless. I truly have no complaints. There is such a great, experienced team that makes the day go seamlessly. If you are thinking about booking Summerfield Farms, you should just do it. They are the best!

I could not have asked for a better venue for my wedding. It was an absolute dream! From first booking the venue to day of the wedding, the staff at Summerfield Farms was such a pleasure to work with. Macie was amazing about always being available and answering questions. The venue is also absolutely stunning. My ceremony was at the branch and the reception was at the Pole Barn and it was absolutely gorgeous. We had the absolute best day celebrating our wedding at the Pole Barn! Macie was so great during the whole process. With not being from the area, she helped recommend our rehearsal dinner location and everyone loved it. We went with Summerfield for our bar + Alyssa was SO great to work with too. This was the absolute best place we could have asked for for our wedding. We got married at "The Little Tree" and had our reception at the barn. It was the most perfect day and the team on the farm worked so well to make everything flow smoothly even with poor weather. I also chose this venue because they do events throughout the year for the public and my husband and I wanted a place that we could cherish and go back and visit often. Most couples cannot say that they go back to their venue after their wedding, so it is a blessing to be able to do that. We got so many compliments on our wedding and I just couldn't be happier with our decision! I'd do it again and again if I could!

I do not even know where to begin because Summerfield Farms was the most perfect wedding venue we could have asked for. From the gorgeous venue space, to the getting ready houses, to the market where we got souvenirs to remember our wedding day/venue, to the property having enough houses so our entire family could stay on property together.
Venue: the most stunning venue I looked at. I fell in love online, the rooftop bar for cocktail hour was one of the selling points, in addition to the gorgeous ceremony site, and the reception tent. We got married at the Little Tree, and had our reception at the main barn, and there is no other way to describe it other than extraordinary. We took our pictures out by the Little Tree, and they came out STUNNING. Then the Little Tree itself was the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony, along with the most elegant dark oak chairs which truly added to the space.
Fast forward to the reception, we did cocktail hour on the rooftop, which was the PERFECT start to the party. Our food stations were located in the barn, and 1618 (in-house catering) prepared our perfect menu and we got SO many complements from our guests on our food. Finally we moved to the reception tent where the rest of the night played in perfection, we had cornhole, a dance floor, and casino games, and the space could not have been more perfect.
Planning Process: I actually miss my Summerfield crew as I got to talk/meet with them frequently throughout my planning process, and they are the kindest people. (Special shoutout to Macie Tremble, you are incredible and an absolute gem of a human) Whenever I had a question, they were quick to respond. When I had a request, they were eager to try to make it happen for me. And, I owe them for pretty much all of my vendors. When I first met with them, they gave me a lot of suggestions, which I ended up booking with them, and I had the absolute best team of vendors on my side.
Overall, to summarize:
Summerfield is a STUNNING venue.
The support you will receive from the staff is top-tier from the day you send an inquiry to even after your wedding, they will hype you up on your instagram photos you post lol.
The houses you get ready in on property are insanely nice and VERY spacious. I had a group of 15 girls getting ready, plus 4 hair and makeup girls, plus my husband's family who was staying in the house all weekend all there with us and it did not feel cramped at all. We had so much room, and it was nice to be able to move around and spend the day relaxed and comfy.
The Main Barn has my heart, with the amazing rooftop bar for cocktail hour.
1618-on-Location helps you create your perfect menu and prepares it even tastier than you could have imagined.
Alysa and the bar team make the BEST drinks. Our signature cocktails were an espresso martini and an old fashioned and they were PERFECT.
This was truly the wedding venue of our dreams, and we have received SO many complements from our guests saying how beautiful it was.
Do yourself a favor and have your wedding at Summerfield!

Summerfield Farms (and Macie specifically) were so amazing. Growing up in Summerfield, I always knew I wanted to get married here and they did everything to make my dreams come true.
If you are looking for a barn style wedding, I’d highly recommend. You can come on the property as much as you want during the process and they truly make everything to seamless on the wedding day, with a curated team to get you whatever you made need (they brought my husband corn-hole boards for him and his boys!).
Truly, I would do the day over and over again because of how easy Summerfield Farms made the process!

I had always wanted to get married at this venue and they did not disappoint! I appreciated the organization and professionalism! I felt like the meetings were very structured and detail oriented to cover all the bases. I also felt like Summerfield had significant experience with many of my vendors which made me feel more confident in how my big day would actually flow. Highly recommend even though this venue is on the pricier side.

We had the good fortune to host my daughter's wedding at the Summerfield Farms pole barn in October of this year. From start to finish, it was an extraordinary experience.
When we first discovered the venue online, we had a feeling it might be something very special, and wow, were we ever right. Everything about the wedding was more than we could have asked for. In looking through the photographs today, every single image is enhanced by the setting and scenery. This isn’t by accident. Their team's care and attention to detail was evident everywhere we looked. We particularly appreciated that we were able to make the space reflect our daughter and new son-in-law. It was a lot like them: a little bit rustic, but very elegant, quiet, but joyful, open, and inviting. The hanging ladder, lighting, and drapery made the inside elegant, and the donkey, cow, games, and tree swing made the outside feel like a family picnic. I’m not sure how one place can evoke so many different feelings in one event. I suspect it may be a little bit of magic, but I know it is also due to a lot of hard work.
If you are looking for excellent service and a remarkable venue, you can't go wrong with Summerfield Farms.

Everything I hoped for and more! We booked Summerfield Farms remotely without seeing or meeting any of the staff. I'm so grateful that it was more than we could've expected. The staff is all so kind and helpful, the lodging is beautiful and made such a fun experience for our guests. Working with the staff at Summerfield Farms was amazing and they really helped our wedding go so smoothly and made sure our special day was the best it could be. Working with Liz to start off with and get booked was great and she was so helpful in us choosing to go with Summerfield Farms in the first place. We loved how well their whole team communicated with us from the on location catering team with 1618 (which had THE BEST food by the way), the bar service team, and the coordinators (Stephanny we love you!) Everyone we worked with were so prompt, professional, and easy to talk to and that really helped prevent things from getting too stressful or hectic. We couldn't be happier and would definitely tell anyone to have a wedding there. It was such a beautiful place to get married.

From the day we went to see the Venue to the day of the wedding, everyone there was super nice and helpful! They eased our wedding stress, working well with our wedding coordinator and other vendors. We got The Branch and The Pole Barn which just made everything amazing. Of course our guests enjoyed barn animal friend mini pearl as well. Jessica and everyone were amazing! Thank you for making our day go as smooth as possible. Definitely recommend this venue and staff to anyone.

Summerfield Farms is the most beautiful place to hold your special day. My daughter’s reception turned out to be more than we could have ever dreamed of. The staff worked to make this day everything we had hoped and envisioned. The fact that most everything is proved was a huge plus. Our guests complimented on the whole event. I could not recommend them enough. If you want your day to be personalized and special, definitely use this facility. They are great for both big and small. The staff is top notch.

We could not have been more pleased at the care and effort of the entire team at Summerfield to make our big day so special. They pay close attention to all your needs and every small detail. They work flawlessly with vendors to ensure your day goes off without a hitch. They work closely with a number of local vendors and have a great relationship with the surrounding community. The pole barn with summer shade was wonderful for our wedding and reception and our rehearsal on the main barn rooftop was spectacular. I could not recommend Summerfield more. My husband and I got married on 5/7/23 at Summerfield Farms and it was everything we could’ve dreamed of! The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the staff is amazing!!! We also loveddd being able to get ready in the different houses on Summerfield Farms. I stayed with my girls at the bungalow the night prior to my wedding and it was perfect!!! We loved getting ready together there in the morning, and the guys loved getting ready at the cabin! We had the wedding of our dreams!!!

Summerfield really means it when they say you become “farmily” when you book your wedding with them. They were always quick to answer questions and went out of their way to help us anyway they could. The day of our wedding they came to check on my fiancé and I multiple times just to make sure we had everything we needed. Minnie Pearl, the beer burrow, was the highlight of our cocktail hour and one of our guests favorites things of the night. All of our family and friends have raved to us that the farm was such a beautiful venue for our wedding and we couldn’t agree more!

Summerfield Farms was the absolute best choice for us when planning our wedding. Not only is the beauty of the property unmatched, the staff is sweet and amazing! They truly care and go above and beyond for each person to achieve their dream event. We rented the houses on property (The Cabin and the Bungalow) for overnight stays. Both houses were clean, organized, and so cute! Every detail is thought of on the property, including their market. From beginning to end, the Summerfield team made the wedding planning process so easy and enjoyable. Shoutout to Molly, Elizabeth, and Molly :) We would choose this property over and over again. We rented the houses on the property for our family and wedding party to stay in ,which was very convenient! The property was well maintained and the staff were amazing to work with , I would highly recommend Summerfield Farms Venue !

A truly perfect wedding venue! My wife and I got married and held our reception in the main barn on the property and could not have asked for a better event! Katie was the most helpful person we had in the process of planning and were very impressed with all the staff and assistance we had with our wedding.

Picturesque and perfect. We had the greatest day of our lives for the greatest day of our lives (so far).
Summerfield Farms and Katie were from the get go so helpful, quick to respond and informative. We organised our wedding from overseas, and we could not have been able to organise the day so smoothly without the support of Katie and her team.
The day was amazing; the venue, beautiful and gorgeous. We got married at the branch, and held our reception in the Pole Barn and could not have imagined a better way to celebrate our marriage. The branch was picturesque and absolutely gorgeous, and an incredibly short walk up the hill to the Pole Barn. Having access to the golf buggies for family members who needed a lift further made the day without any drama.
The beautiful cabins we were given for the groom and bride were perfect areas for us to get ready with our groomsmen and bridesmaids. Full amenities, gorgeous setting, air conditioned and wonderfully kitted out with games and other things to entertain (and a barbecue!), could not have asked for anything better!
Finally; in the whirlwind of the day and in the evening when we finally left, we left our empty bourbon bottle from the 'bury the bourbon' we did earlier. It was Summerfield, not our caterer, who took it upon themselves to take the bottle, look after it and kept it safe! I'm a little sentimental and it meant the world to us when we found out that Summerfield look after it!
Beautiful, amazing, wonderful venue and fantastic service. What more could you ask for in a place where these things matters most for the most important day!

Beautiful, magical, special, perfect venue. Let's start there... the venue is one of the most flexible and appealing ones we have ever visited. And let's be honest... once we saw the barn, we were done for. There is not just one room that guests have to mingle in... there were so many options for where everything could be from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to the reception and more. Literally guests were not bored and stuck like most other weddings I have been to. The staff is super friendly and communicative. They literally were so helpful in everything we needed... and just wait until they give you the QR code for your big day.. I WAS MESMERIZED. Even though it rained on our big day, when we moved our wedding indoors it was just as cozy and special as we had hoped for. And the staff was so helpful in ensuring that that rain day plan was all set to go last minute. We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate among friends and family. Thank you to Katie and the rest of the Summerfield team!

Summerfield Farm is the perfect venue for your special day. The Summerfield Farms team was there with us every step of the way and were able to attend to our needs for the wedding day. For the price and the guest count that they could hold, we felt like this was such a great deal. It was so fun having access to the property early and getting ready in the Bungalow. As we got ready in the Bungalow, we could see our guest arriving via tractor to the tree for the ceremony, which was fun to observe. Can’t imagine a better place to have chosen to get married!

The staff at Summerfield Farms was so helpful during the planning of our micro-wedding! With their assistance, we managed to plan a perfect event in less than two months. Our guests absolutely loved the venue, which made the perfect backdrop for photos. If we had to do it over again, we wouldn't change a thing! Summerfield Farms blew every single expectation I had for my dream wedding day out of the water. They were amazing to work with, and helped all of my decor vision come to life! Their staff and event team were some of the most loving and compassionate people I've ever met. They were very accommodating throughout the pandemic, helping me and my guests prepare for the event. The houses that we got to get ready in before the wedding were also absolutely beautiful, and they even hand wrote me a letter welcoming me and congratulating us! They handled all of the alcohol, had golf carts ready for my groom and I at any moment, and THE PICTURES OMG!!! These pictures I will hang on my wall forever and ever. I cannot say enough about how beautiful the entire day was. We cannot be happier to be a part of the FARMily!!

Summerfield farms was the perfect* place to have our wedding at and I am still so amazed at how beautiful our wedding day was! I knew from the first time we toured, that the farm had to be our wedding venue and that was touring it in the rain! From that first tour and email, working with Summerfield was always such a breeze. Correspondence was quick, staff was beyond kind, and the venue is always pristine. They help you find any type of vendor you ask for and give you recommendations on ones they have worked with before. If you have any specific requests they work their best to make it happen and are always courteous if it is not feasible. The farm has a myriad of amenities and have so many different ceremony and reception sites, that are all breathtaking! Summerfield is such a wonderful place to have any event at; from the grounds to the staff, it is top quality service you are getting. I cannot wait to go back for all of the day-events they have hosted there. It will be a place my husband and I visit forever!

Summerfield Farms is your DREAM rustic "barn vibes" wedding venue. I grew up a couple of miles away and I had always known since I was little that I wanted to get married here. I wouldn’t change one detail of my wedding at Summerfield Farms. The venue is so beautiful from the ceremony site of the Little Tree to our reception in the tent behind the Barn. There were sunflowers blooming when I got married in July and I love my sunflower photos! The team at Summerfield Farms is so professional, and they responded to all my questions in emails quickly. The Bungalow was perfect for getting ready—a kitchen with plenty of space, mirrors and chairs in the hair and makeup area, and plenty more space. I will cherish my beautiful intimate July wedding at Summerfield Farms forever. If you are questioning where to get married you will not regret going with Summerfield Farms! I highly recommend the team and venue at Summerfield Farms!

Our wedding was in May and even now, I still get message after message about how wonderful and gorgeous the reception was. People are still raving about the beauty that was summerfield farms. It truly was the perfect place. And almost magical. The cows grazing in the distance. The swing in the woods. The pond. The sunlight shining into the barn was perfect and the acres of land to roam and view was spectacular. If you have any sort of special event, I highly recommend summerfield farms. Summerfield Farms was the most amazing and magical venue. The pole barn was brought to life and created a beautiful outdoor space both inside and outside for family and guests of all ages. The houses on property were also amazing and helped make the whole process so easy and smooth!! I would recommend this property to anyone and Elizabeth the event director is amazing!!!!!!! Planning a wedding during COVID was a very long and taxing process. However, even in the midst of all of the chaos, Summerfield Farms helped us every single step of the way to make sure we were taken care of. From the vendors they offer, to their incredible staff, we could not have asked for a better team to work with. We started searching for venues over a year and a half before our proposed wedding date. With my, now husband, in school full time, we only had limited dates to choose from. SF was so gracious in helping us through all of our stresses, and Kayla and Elizabeth did such a fantastic job communicating with us every step of the way. Even when my communication skills were lacking due to my job, they took care of everything on my behalf. Their team helped us to execute the most stunning and perfect wedding day, even with a rain plan in place. Their rain plan is just as stunning, if not more, than the outside plan! It was so warm, intimate and inviting: the Barn really does speak for itself! Their team, and the breathtaking venue, made waiting nearly two years for our special day worth it, times a trillion. Also- Caren at the well truck was amazing with handling our signature drinks! We had, and continue to receive, nothing but remarkable compliments from every single one of our guests, using phrases such as, “the most epic and beautiful wedding they had ever been to”. We couldn’t recommend Summerfield Farms enough! THANK YOU!

Summerfield Farms was everything I dreamed when we first started wedding planning. It was the first venue I visited and even in the pouring rain in January I knew just how perfect this venue was going to be. Although Covid derailed our wedding a few times, the folks at Summerfield Farms could not have been more accommodating and understanding. The entire team and my specific coordinator (Kayla W.) were just amazing. The attention to detail was more than I could have ever asked for. The barn is beautiful, the silo bar is AMAZING, the tent and the additions they have are just beautiful. The perfect venue if a barn wedding is your cup of tea and honestly perfect even if it isn't. Also important to mention how perfect the Groom's cabin and Bridal cottage are for getting ready the day of. I wish I could relive my wedding day a million times over and it is because of the team at SF and the beautiful venue that made it just that special. Thank you guys so much!!

My husband and I got engaged back in 2019 and spent a long time searching for the perfect wedding venue. As soon as we stumbled upon Summerfield Farms, we knew we found the PERFECT place. Fast forward past graduate school, and a global pandemic, on May 1, 2021 we finally were able to get married under the little tree.
I cannot give the staff enough praise for how accommodating, kind and supportive they have been. I must have texted, emailed, and called Kayla a thousand times before the big day and she was always so quick to respond and always made me feel at ease. Every single detail was well thought out and executed with precision. If you are a couple looking for something to really "wow" your guests...look no further!

If you have a “dream wedding” in mind, they will make it a reality! Our big day could not have been anymore more perfect thanks to the Summerfield staff! Kayla and Elizabeth were there with us every step of the way and made sure that all of our wants and needs were taken care of! They were available anytime to answer any questions we had and made the planning process smooth. The rest of the staff made set up and take down a breeze and were very attentive yet also discreet so that you hardly knew they were there! They also collaborated very well with all of our vendors which was an added perk to ensure our wedding went off without a hitch! We can’t say enough positive things about Summerfield Farms and would highly recommend them to anyone trying to have the wedding of their dreams!!

The only place you need to consider getting married at! From start to finish, all of our needs were taken care of and we were genuinely care for as a soon-to-be couple. They are incredibly LGBTQ+ friendly and never batted an eye at our "non-traditional" wedding. All of the staff was phenomenal and a pleasure to work with. The venue itself was AMAZING! We received many compliments on the the Pole Barn and overall venue from ceremony to reception. Summerfield Farms made our day absolutely amazing and perfect!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I would recommend Summerfield Farms to everyone! We had our rehearsal dinner at the Pole Barn and our ceremony at the Barn. The staff was amazing and helpful throughout the entire process. The houses were perfect for our bridal party to get ready in and have a space to relax on the big day. It definitely pays off to not only have a beautiful venue, but also a team to help the day run smoothly. You will not regret getting married at this amazing place!
