About this vendor
Hello! I’m Summer Galyan and I take REALLY FREAKIN’ GREAT photos, that don’t cost you a limb.
I am a full time photographer that specializes in wedding, family and senior photography. I am currently serving the Indianapolis and surrounding areas. In 2013 I married my best friend of 15 years. Josh is the love of my life and my biggest supporter. Our super rad 13 year old son is the light of my life, I’m thankful for him every single day. My top 3 favorite things on the planet are my family (including the furry ones), pizza, and friends. I also love singing, corny puns, painting, reading, camping, hoppy beers, scary movies, and basically every animal. I'm outspoken and I love to make people laugh! I’m extremely passionate and driven in everything I set out to accomplish. I'm also very picky. I want that WOW photo at every shoot and I won’t stop until I get it. Let’s make some stellar art together!!

Summer was wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend using her for your photography needs. As she was one of the first vendors we hired, Summer was very helpful in the plann...
ing stages, making sure our timeline would work with the photos we desired. She took the time to meet with us and show us her work, which made us very comfortable. Her work is exceptional. All of the photos we wanted from the wedding were taken and they were delivered to us in a very timely manner. She was excellent at the photography and was also a joy and pleasure to be around. Summerly Photography was great to work with and I highly recommend using her as your wedding photographer.
Amazing breathtaking photos. Summer does the best work possible and excellent professional quality. She has a truly amazing nautical art of creating picture perfect lighting no m...
atter the situation. I’m so glad we chose her. We will be using her again in the future.
Summer was awesome all around. Frankly I'm not a big photo person, but my wife (who's a former wedding photographer) wanted someone who could give us a memorable package that she c...
ould appreciate forever. We got it. Even though we threw some logistical challenges her way due to people being late etc, Summer easily rolled with it and got all the shots we wanted and more. She had an idea of using the sunset (which was quickly fading) for our couple photos, and we scrambled to the location to get the shots in the freezing cold. At the time I wasn't sure what to expect, but once we got the photos they were the best ones of the whole evening. On top of that, it was fun and spontaneous, and I know when I see those photos 30 years from now I will vividly remember that experience. Look at Summer's portfolio; it's representative of what you'll get.
Summer is an amazing photographer! Her photos always turn out beautiful and she's not afraid to let you know when you're looking awkward. She did our engagement and wedding photos ...
and was direct with our large family while also being super patient with all of the young kids in our wedding party. I've found that purchasing prints from her is also very reasonably priced. We will definitely be looking to Summer for any photos in the future!
Summer was so great to work with. She was patient and understanding when we started to run behind on schedule for our wedding day. She was great at "arranging/ corralling" everyo...
ne to stay on task and to get through pictures quickly esp. in the heat (95 +). The pictures we have seen thus far are beautiful and the lighting is everything. She knows what she is doing and is very upfront with you about you are going to get and how to get it. We really wanted a sunset photo, but the weather and timing was completely against us. Summer talked us through it and in the end we realized we didn't have the best conditions for it. So instead we got to stay at the reception and hang out with our loved ones vs. leaving the reception and rushing back. I cant wait to work with Summer again, it is definitely a must!
Summer was absolutely amazing. We wanted a photographer that we could have all of the rights to the photos, but didn't want all the books with them because it is so easy and much c...
heaper to just do the books yourself and so Summer was perfect for our price range. She is very outgoing and is not hesitant to take over when people aren't listening, and if your bridal party is anything like mine, you definitely need it!!
Our photos have turned out amazing!! As my sister put it "they look like they came out of a magazine!"
Summer is such a treat to work with. She combines professionalism with friendship. I found her randomly online and feel in love with her portfolio. When I met her in person, i love...
d her Type A personality and let me tell you, that comes in handy come foraml picture time at the wedding! She was on top of everything! She will continue to be my family photographer as our family grows!
Summer did an excellent job with our photographs, she has a wonderful eye for lighting and set up of photographs. We had a lot going on, and she was willing to work with us and cap...
tured so much of it! We got all of our photographs within 2 weeks of the wedding, and her pricing was less than most of the other photographers I worked with. Thanks Summer!
I am so glad I chose Summer to do our wedding photos. I met with her once about a year before the wedding to look at her portfolio and was already familiarized with her prices and ...
her prior experience. I have to say, she is the very best choice out there for Indianapolis area brides! Her prices are extremely reasonable, and she lets you have all the rights to your photos. That's where other photographers trick you. Their prices may seem okay, but then you have to buy every single print that you desire through them, and they totally overcharge you, and they always own the rights to your photos. Not only does Summer let you own the pictures, but she emails you a copy of everything on a CD AND sets you up with a port online where you can access your photos AND order through her IF you chose to do so.
Summer is extremely talented. Her artistic knowledge shows not only through her photos but the way she deals with people. She is energetic, organized, polite and respectful. I felt so comfortable with her and so did my husband, even though he only met her once before the wedding, very briefly.
There is no one with more talent, passion, and professionalism that I would recommend to be your photographer. You can't go wrong with Summer.
We heard of Summer through a friend of mine and I knew I would book with her after our first meeting. Our engagement & wedding shoot were both enjoyable, she was so easy to work wi...
th, open minded, and also helped direct us since we didn't really have any specific poses in mind. She provided the pictures on a disc, (within a reasonable time frame or even earlier) which I prefer so I can choose them and print whatever I want to and even post them to facebook without any restrictions on them. Since our wedding we have recommended her to other people. If I had to do it all over again I would definitely choose her, she will help calm you on your wedding day and when you get your wedding disc you are thankful at the pictures you see of people who you personally didn't even get a chance to speak to at your wedding! :) Thanks Summer!
She puts a great style on her pictures and does a great job catching the moments of your day.
Summer was great! She took wonderful pictures and really the price was less than $1 per picture. The package came with a disk with ALL the photos she took so we got to pick what we...
wanted and what we wanted to do with them. She only charged a small travel fee to come to Ft Wayne from Indy. Would totally recommend her.
Summer is the best deal in Indy! She is an awesome photog. Her pictures are creative and imaginative. She took a ton of pics and sent them all to us on a CD. Unlike other photograp...
hers, she didn't put any restrictions on how many copies we could make, whether we cold put them on Facebook, etc. we were very happy with her work and would definitely recommend her to anyone!
Great pic, the photographer was able to come up with cool ideas, and I got the CD with the pic a week later!!!
Summer was great! My pictures were incredible. For the price, I got unlimited coverage they day of my wedding and a copyright free CD with all of the images on it. That was all I w...
anted and she sure delivered. I could'nt be happier with the service I got from Summer. She was a great communicator and came up with some great pictures. I couldn't be happier with her-especially for her price!
I was shocked to see how expensive wedding photography can be, so when I came across Summer, I was a little hesitant as to why she was so inexpensive, but I went for it, anyway, an...
d I'm glad I did! Her photos are not too overdone and too photoshopped, but still high quality- loved them!
