We had the most incredible experience at Summit On Cross! From the moment we arrived, the breathtaking views took our breath away. Our planner Stephanie was exceptional; she was attentive and went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. The owners also made us feel special. The combination of the stunning scenery and top-notch planner created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. We can’t recommend this venue enough! It will always hold a special place in our hearts. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We knew from the moment we stepped foot on the property that we wanted to book with the Summit on Cross Mountain. This venue can not be beat. Between the stunning view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, hospitality and professionalism of the staff, and attention to every detail, and affordable Airbnbs in the area for guests, the Summit has it all. There are so many amazing spots on the property outside of the incredible views including the largest bridal suite I've ever personally seen, the expansive and well-thought out reception area, porch overlooking the trees, and the perfect terrace for cocktail hour. We booked our wedding date fourteen months out. Larissa and others at the venue could not have been more helpful, patient, and responsive to us and our day-of wedding coordinator. My husband and I were able to stay on the cabin on-site which made the experience that much better. You feel as if you're in a fairy tale tucked back into the forest. It is beautifully decorated. If you are considering this venue, I highly recommend checking it out in person as the pictures do not do it justice.

Hi! I am Jo Ann Johnson and I purchased the property in 2019 because I couldn't say "no" to the view and wanted to share it with others. A friend said, "wedding venue" and the rest is history. Ashe County is a beautiful place to live and Summit is snuggled in just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Enhancing the property and venue is my joy and passion. Seeing the smiles on brides, grooms and families faces when they see it for the first time is my reward!

Hi! My name is Larisa Leapley. I am a daughter, wife, mom to 2 awesome young women and to my sweet dog, Sadie. I found myself in the wedding venue business after my mother bought this beautiful property in Ashe County, NC in November of 2019. We have worked hard to make our venue and property a very special place for weddings and continue to make improvements and add special details every year. Working with the couples and hearing their ideas for their dream wedding is so much fun! It's the best job, EVER! I love what I do and my favorite part is meeting all the wonderful brides, grooms and their families!

Hi everyone, my name is Madison Bauguss and I am the owner of Au Courant Event Planning and Coordinator for Summit on Cross Mountain. I started this business in 2020 after years of gaining experience in the industry. I have been a Certified Wedding Planner through the Bridal Society since 2015! At UNCG, Event Planning was my major, finishing in 2018. I have two sons, Maverick and Madden and a Fiancé, Michael, that are my world! We recently adopted a Cocker Spaniel named Lucy, who has been a great addition to our family. I absolutely love my job and am so thankful to have worked with many amazing clients and vendors. I fell in love with this venue shortly after starting my business and am so happy to have the opportunity to work with couples that have also fell in love with the view!

ral beauty the Summit has to offer and the amazing care the owners put into the property and ensuring our day was special. The owners, JoAnn & Larisa, were helpful throughout the process. Ensuring that we had everything we needed, providing helpful advice and tips for achieving our vision, and ensuring that everything was setup in a way that allowed us to enjoy our day and all the thorough planning of the team they offered. While we did not need it, they had a clear plan in the event that weather impacted us and had things arranged in a way that would have made the day amazing no matter where it occurred on their property or what may have been thrown at us. The scenery and beauty of all they have developed stole the show. We are two weeks out from our wedding and everyone we have talked to cannot express just how amazing the venue and views were. Between the owners dedication to guiding us through the process of setting up our day and everything the venue itself had to offer we could not have expected or asked for a more perfect wedding.

we were blessed with a beautiful day, but we loved there was an indoor rain option as well to give us peace of mind because you just never know about the weather. The owners Vickie and JoAnne are some of the sweetest and kindest people you will ever meet. It was such a pleasure working with them and getting to know them. They were so accommodating and thoughtful, answering our many questions and making sure everything was set up perfectly, trying to make our day as stress free as possible. Our guests loved the venue views. We could not dream of a more beautiful place to get married and we are thankful to have found Summit. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts. We also stayed in one of the cabins on the property the night after wedding which we highly recommend. The cabin is so cute and perfect, loved waking up in the woods and getting to hear the birds and relax after the big day. Perfect venue and accommodations, can't recommend enough!

What a beautiful venue, friendly staff and that view!!!! I got married here on 5/18/24 and it was the most perfect day. It rained on our wedding day, so the ceremony had to happen ...

inside and we didn’t get to enjoy the view as much as I would’ve liked, but we can’t control the weather!! If you’re worried about rain on your wedding day here, worry no more. Larisa and the venue staff were so helpful by sending me videos of inside ceremony options a few days before, flipping the room so smoothly, and updating me throughout the day with pictures and ideas. All of our guests enjoyed the space, and we still got so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was. Larisa and Vickie were also so great with communication throughout my entire year of wedding planning. They responded to all of my (many, many, many) questions in a timely manner. It really helped me be stress free and excited that last week before the wedding. If you’re looking for a beautiful mountaintop wedding, this is the spot for you!! The day met all of our expectations, and could not of been more perfect.

nitial consultation through after the wedding. My husband and I live out of state and the staff was very accommodating with ensuring that we were comfortable and confident in our decisions along the way. We were able to "tour" the venue via zoom and Larisa and Vickie were very attentive and responsive to texts and emails as questions came up. Our provided day of wedding coordinator (Madison) was stellar and we could not have had such a seamless day without her. We reserved the venue Friday to Sunday and stayed at the on-site cottage which was a short walk to the venue site and it was absolutely worth it as it made the set up, day of, and day after the wedding very convenient.

loped a nice relationship with my family and groom’s family- which made the wedding planning process easy! The wedding package includes a coordinator from the venue- who I would absolutely recommend: Sherry. She who was very knowledgeable, kind, and honestly made me feel so relieved/ less anxious leading up to the wedding and on wedding day. She is familiar with the venue and could foresee and tackle all questions. Communication was very easy with Larisa and the venue has a lot of amenities to use, as well as referrals. It is also very easy to bring in your own decorations / vendors. The landscape is stunning! It was wonderful having the getting ready rooms right at the venue. Additionally, there was a small cabin that the groom and I rented for the night of the wedding: which was perfect and so cute/ quaint. omfortable! Due to the weather, we had to have our ceremony inside and the owners blew us away at how they were able to accommodate both our ceremony AND reception in the same space. They transformed it so quickly and effortlessly. We had the most beautiful wedding and our guest kept saying how beautiful and intimate our ceremony felt.
