Additionally, you have the option to order and customize a dessert table with all of your favorite desserts for your guests to enjoy. I guarantee you, it will undoubtedly be a success!
I also specialize in a variety of other sweet treats and desserts, such as rich and decadent cheesecakes, cupcakes, as well as dipped confectioneries such as chocolate-covered cheesecake slices and chocolate-covered strawberries, because who doesn't love those? Chocolate Covered Pretzels, Cake Pucks, and 3D Chocolate High Heel Stilettos, because why not!
Owner/baker La’Tanya Roe studied professional baking and pastry arts before opening Sun Of A Cake. She is constantly dreaming up new flavor combinations and exciting ways to decorate her baking. Delighted reactions from her customers inspire La’Tanya to always outdo herself. She is always improving her delicious creations.
Sun Of A Cake’s range of flavors and products is ever-expanding. Older guests might enjoy some of this bakery’s alcohol-infused creations. Yummy cupcakes can be carefully decorated with colorful frosting and arranged in a distinctive cupcake bouquet. Your guests will be delighted by the array of flavors in a tiered wedding cake, from zesty lemon to rich chocolate. Your cake can be elegantly finished in a traditional buttercream, Swiss Meringue Buttercream, and/or Chocolate Ganache of your choice.
Cake tastings give you a chance to try different cake flavors with different styles of frosting and buttercream. La’Tanya is happy to deliver her creation to your venue and set it up perfectly to awe your guests.

Sun Of A Cake was amazing! La'Tanya was dependable, responsive and professional. The cake was both beautiful and delicious. It was exactly what I was looking for. If you're for the...
perfect cake for your wedding day, I can't recommend La'Tanya enough!
I couldn’t be happier with La’Tanya and Son of a Cake. The tasting was so amazing and thorough, giving us many options. It was hard to choose just a few! She was also so communicat...
ive throughout the entire process, making sure we had exactly what we wanted, even doing extra video calls when needed. Come the day, the cake and desserts were all delicious, and beautiful! It was perfect and couldn’t have been better. Would absolutely recommend!!!
The positives are, the consultation was very inviting and the customer service was really good. She provided the cake stands at no additional costs. She also threw in a dozen cupca...
kes for the kids that were a part of the wedding...which were delicious!
The star of the show was gorgeous; however, it did not deliver in taste and quality...it was dried out. It was very disappointing after being reassured at the tasting that we would be getting EXACTLY what we were trying/tasting that day. The quality of the cupcakes did not transfer to the wedding cake. Im not sure if the wedding cake was over refrigerated but whatever happened definitely dried it out big time! The wedding cake is supposed to be the proverbial icing on the cake at a wedding... saddly this was not the case.
We are still waiting on our refundable deposit. We are not asking for a refund because she did provide a service and we recognize that . Any refund would be of good will from Sun Of A Cake, LLC.
I hope the SOAC takes this review and sees it as an area of opportunity. I could not in good conscience recommend SOCA based on my experience.
Terrible experience, I let my wife deal with the ordering, tasting and planning for the cake and she had me so excited up until the day of the wedding and I saw the presentation, i...
t was similar to what we wanted but not the colors and the cake wasn’t decorated. Then there was the cake cutting and the cake was horrible, it was hard and old. My wife was so embarrassed and when I put the cake in her mouth during the tasting she wanted to spit it out but all eyes was on us so we played it off. My wife told me not to put a bad review because the baker was very apologetic and gave her a refund of $500 however she ruined a part of our special day (something we can’t get back) and should of refunded all the money back and then some not to mention my wife ordered the decorations for the cake and the cake stand in which she let the baker keep. I told my wife I will call her because we deserve a full refund but my wife persuaded me to let it go but just know she ruined a part of our special day.
Our experience with LaTanya was incredible from the very start. Her professionalism and hard work blew us out of the water. Starting with the wonderful cake tasting we had with her...
, with so many delicious options and selections, we were blown away by how much she had to offer. We chose a Neapolitan type cake with a different tiers of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. (We couldn’t choose just one) When I tell y’all that the strawberry cake is absolutely incredible I am not kidding. Oh my gosh is it good. We ended the reception with people yelling how good the cake was and running off with third and fourth pieces. I would absolutely suggest Sun of a cake to any bride who wants and awesome cake by an awesome lady. ❤️
