Sunkissed and Made Up

The Sunkissed and Made Up team was AMAZING. I had originally picked a different vendor but quickly cancelled that contract after my engagement hair and makeup. My coordinators recommended Sunkissed and Made Up and wow, they exceeded all expectations. They made me so comfortable during my trial and restored my faith in the HMU process. On the actual day of, I had 4 team members show up and they CRUSHED it. My bridal party, mom, stepmom, and in-laws all looked stunning. They all felt it, too. My bridal hair (by Bayleigh) and makeup (by Amber) was even better than my trial and I felt beautiful. Their makeup never cracked or faded and never felt heavy. Their hair skills are *chefs kiss.* The team in general was fun, social, and were an overall value-add to our day. They were all very communicative throughout the process, too. I loved Sunkissed and Made Up and would recommend them to anyone!

The ladies at Sunkissed and made up are truly fabulous. I truly did my hair and make up perfectly - it was an elevated natural look where i felt beautiful yet still myself. All of my friends said this was one of their favorite bridal party hair and make up experiences. Everyone loved what was done for them. And my mom and my new mother in law also were so impressed and loved waht was created for them too! Megan did my hair and Amber did my make up - they are truly amazing, so kind and generous and lovely. We did hire Megan to stay longer and it was hands down the best decision we made. I got married in the heat of Houston in August - 105 degrees! we did pictures outside and Megan was such a gem and life saver and essentially redid my hair in the downtime right before the ceremony. It made a huge difference and I'm so glad she was there to help! She even went above and beyond and was at our first look (at a differnt location than ceremony) for quick touch ups and took some pictures and texted them to my mom. My mom loved getting a little look into this moment - could not be more grateful for these ladies and the way they made us feel so comfortable but beautiful. Hire immediately - whenever my brother gets married I will be insisting that his future wife hire Sunkissed and Made up!

I had Sunkissed and Made Up for my wedding this month and had such a positive experience. They are very professional and ensured I felt beautiful on my special day. I completed a hair and make up trial with them a month before my wedding which helped me feel super confident in what I will look like for the wedding. Megan and Daizy were phenomenal and made myself and my bridal party feel so comfortable and loved on during the day. Highly recommend for any event or special occasion.

Sunkissed and Made Up made my entire wedding party look amazing! All of my bridesmaid said it was their favorite and hair and makeup they have ever had done. All of the artists were very nice, had great recommendations and were very quick. Highly recommend booking with SKMU. From hair and makeup for engagement pictures, bridal trial, and full wedding day glam for the bride and attendants, the entire experience was wonderful. The best! I am so glad that I booked SKMU for my wedding day. They were attentive and patient & made adjustments from my trial to my wedding day to make me feel beautiful. As someone who isn’t super into make up and hair, they capture my vision perfectly. I am so happy that I booked them. They were able to do hair and make up for 9 attendants and me all before 1:15. SKMU is truly a cut above!

VERY RUDE! I hired them for my wedding and the makeup artists were very rude and made my day not as enjoyable. They talked over me, got annoyed when I asked them to change small things (since I’m the bride), we’re rude to my mom and bridesmaids, my hair looked awful and fell during the night. I even asked if I could have some stuff to touch up after the ceremony and they told me no and wouldn’t even give me a lipstick to reapply. They told me to just use my finger to rub it in more… like huh? I wouldn’t recommend their services and they were pricey for doing a mediocre job. I don’t recommend this company and am very disappointed by my experience after being so excited to use them. Overall just not a nice and welcoming group of people to work with.

I wanted to find one vendor to do both hair and makeup and these girls are GREAT at both. My bridesmaids seriously looked beautiful. They arrived on time and ready to make my day perfect. They conquered seven bridesmaids hair and make up, two make up only, and my bridal make up and hair all by 2 o’clock. If you are still deciding on your hair/makeup please check them out!

The SKMU team did a stunning job with my bridal makeup, the mother of the bride hair, grandmother of the bride hair, and bridesmaid hair and makeup! Their team of 3 artists executed their work for 10 people with ease and professionalism, and they made the morning so chill and fun. They arrived on time for the early morning start, and they did great at providing a bright, minimalist look that complemented everyone’s existing beauty! I loved working with them and they were so patient throughout every change that was made during wedding planning. They also did an excellent trial makeup session for my engagement shoot which really helped me see just how well they work their magic!

I can't say enough great things about the Sunkissed and Made Up team and I highly recommend Amy and Kylee!! They did my hair and makeup for my boudoir shoot, bridals, and wedding day and each time they created the most beautiful look. If I had changes or preferences, they took each one into consideration without question and made me feel so gorgeous. For my wedding day, we had such a fun time chatting and getting ready and they kept everything running smoothly with girls getting in and out of the chair! 10/10 recommend using them for any occasion!!

This team of ladies was fantastic. They listen to exactly what you want and they make it happen. They are also willing to work with you to build up the look you want if you aren’t exactly sure. They are so sweet & super efficient. They tend towards a very “enhanced natural” vibe, which is perfect for someone who doesn’t usually wear a lot of makeup, and their airbrush makeup lasts all night!

I have worked with over 50 hair and makeup companies over the years, and I can say with absolute certainty that Sunkissed and Made Up is my favorite. A HMU session with them feels like you’re getting ready with your best friends. Taylor and Jenna are a dream team! I love how natural they make “glam” look on me, and they always make me feel so beautiful when I’m in their chair. They are understanding, accommodating, and extremely talented. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else make me look (and feel) my best on the biggest day of my life!!!

They are incredible. INCREDIBLE. I used SKMU for my wedding and they were very, very easy to work with- they answered all my questions quickly and clearly. The girls who did our hair and makeup are SO talented and listened to exactly what I wanted- then did it even better than my ~vision~. I am picky about my makeup because I don't wear a lot normally and I don't really know what I like, just what I don't like. This was no problem for SKMU. At my trial, I looked at pictures they had on their instagram and showed them looks that I liked and didn't like. And then they just did it!! I felt very much myself and absolutely beautiful for my wedding (lasted easily all night!) and I am so grateful for the staff at SKMU!

The SKMU team is absolutely amazing! We had 4 artists travel for our wedding in the hill country. I've known Taylor for years (she did my prom makeup!) so it was so special having her do my bridal makeup. The team took perfect care of all my bridesmaids and the moms and everyone looked incredible. They really are the best!

I used sunkissed and Made up for my wedding and bridal portraits and I swear I will never use anyone else. They take your vision and make it a reality. What really sealed the deal for me was the fact that the glam STAYS all day/night without looking cakey. My wedding was outside in August and I was a party girl at my reception I love that I stilled looked perfect and glowy at the end of the night. I can’t say enough good things about these girls- they made my wedding morning so fun and stress free. I can’t wait to work with them again in the future. Give them all your money.

I have used Sunkissed and Made Up multiple times now. Each time they make you look and feel absolutely amazing! With the help of these ladies, me and bridesmaids looked absolutely amazing - ALL DAY!! Our hair and makeup held all day, and yes it was hot and humid outside where we did our pictures and ceremony! At the end of the night, even after a long night on the dance floor, we all still looked fantastic! The women as SKMU are a true gem and will make you feel absolutely gorgeous for any event!

Jenna and Kylee are both such fun ladies to be with while you’re getting ready. They were very attentive to all of the girls’ notes and made sure the girls were taken care of. Everyone turned out beautiful! Jenna is especially talented with hairstyles and will take your inspo and turn it into something a million times better than what I had imagined. I felt like such a princess with the hairstyle that Jenna designed. Kylee is super patient with all of the notes that I gave her on my makeup. Being Asian, it is SO HARD to find someone that can do your makeup right and colors do not translate from the palette to your face. Kylee was super patient when we had to make some changes and the end result was beautiful and i felt like myself but beautified! I would say however we were 1.5 hours behind schedule and that basically threw off the timeline for the whole day so ladies, set a time you need to be ready by and then move that back an hour or two so you have plenty of time. When scheduling, SKMU were insistent that it would only take 4 hours to do 6 HAMU services. We were supposed to be ready by 2 but didn’t finish until 3:30. Besides that, everything still turned out amazing and would definitely recommend SKMU.

I have loved Sunkissed & Made Up for many years now. I started following their Instagram for hair & makeup inspiration, & knew that when it came time for my wedding - they were the first vendor I HAD to have. When I had my hair & makeup done for my bridal portraits at their beautiful studio in downtown Houston, the results came out beyond my expectations. A month before my original April 2020 wedding date, I had to postpone due to Covid. Taylor & her team rescheduled with no hesitation, & were so kind to work with along the way. When it finally came time for my April 2021 Wedding, I was blessed to have Taylor for makeup & Megan for hair. They made all of my bridesmaids & Mom’s feel so beautiful, & I couldn’t ask for more. Some of my girls knew what they wanted, & some did not. When they asked Taylor & Megan to go for it, the results were phenomenal. I was thrilled with my hair & makeup as well - the Sunkissed girls can do no wrong! If you’re from Houston / the surrounding areas, please do yourself a favor and book Sunkissed & Made Up for any of your glam required events. You will be so thankful that you did!

I love these girls so much. I worked with them a few times prior to getting engaged. As soon as my now husband popped the question, I immediately wanted to lock SKMU down for our special day. I can’t thank Sunkissed and Made Up enough! They made my mom, bridal party, and me feel beautiful and were the sweetest group of women. They made sure each one of us were happy and they did an amazing job! Each one of my bridesmaids picked a different hair style and I swear they all looked even better than the pictures my girls had shown them. One of the best decisions I made was booking them!

I hired Sunkissed and Made Up as my VERY first vendor! They came so highly recommended by so many friends, so I knew I had to book them. They were absolutely AMAZING to work with! Their stylists are so friendly and made you feel so comfortable. I had a date change due to COVID and they were unbelievably accommodating! Every single one of my bridesmaids were so impressed and felt like they did EXACTLY what they were asking them to do (which I feel can sometimes be an issue with makeup and hair). They did my hair/make up on my rehearsal dinner day and wedding. I received so many compliments and cannot tell you how beautiful they made me feel! I would HIGHLY recommend Sunkissed. I have already told so many friends to use them (some booked them) and plan on using them always for my future events!

I love getting my Hair & Makeup done with Sunkissed & Made Up. I got my H&MU done multiple times prior to my wedding (trial, boudoir, & bridals). Kylee (makeup), Jenna (Hair), & Meagan (Hair) did such a great job! They made me feel so beautiful. They were so accommodating every time I changed my mind on something (Sorry I'm very indecisive lol) Kylee & Jenna did such a great job on my wedding day. Sunkissed and madeup did my makeup for my rehearsal dinner (makeup trial) and my hair and makeup, along with the rest of my bridal parties for my wedding! They were so great to work with, and ensured that we all looked awesome, with a look that was tailored to our liking! They had a more natural yet full look for the makeup, and for the hair can do pretty much anything.. they were so talented and amazing!! I love Sunkissed & Made-up! For my wedding in 2018 I had a large bridal party where everyone was going for a different style and they did such an amazing job accommodating whatever the girls wanted. I went thru 4 makeup trials until I chose Sunkissed & Made-up. Every person you work with is talented, sweet, and just gets what you want right. It's stress free for me when I sit in the chair because I know my makeup & hair will always turn out flawless. Fast forward to 2020 - when I needed someone for my maternity photos - I knew who to go to. My makeup & hair lasted me thru the outdoor Texas humidity and my own sweat lol. Highly recommend them!

If you are looking for natural H&MU, this is your vendor. Besides mascara, I don’t wear makeup. So, choosing a H&MU vendor made me extremely uncomfortable. But my best friend actually suggested Sunkissed + Made-up and ensured me that Natural is what they excel at. The girls were very understanding of my choice to have as little and as natural of makeup as possible, and truly went above and beyond to make me feel my best on my wedding day.

The most exceptional hair & make up team I've ever worked with! Seriously everyone was so incredibly talented, very professional and they are so personable which made getting ready that much more fun! I'll never use anyone else for professional H&MU!!

I cannot say enough about this team. I've been a bridesmaid and have used them multiple times over the last 5 years. BUT, getting to use the ladies as a BRIDE - I was blown away. They literally had everyone from my girls, the moms and me looking stunning. They customized everything to our needs and smiled the whole time. Seriously, use them. You won't regret it.

I really enjoyed my hair and make up experience with S&MU for both my engagement photos and wedding. My bridesmaids still rave about how good they looked to this day. I would highly recommend Rhiannon to anyone. She is the absolute sweetest and is EXTREMELY talented. The one thing I wish they would have told me was my makeup artist was not actually a part of the S&MU team. She has her own separate company, and I guess they did not have any available team members for my wedding day, so they hired her as a third party artist? She was incredible so I am not complaining, but it would have been nice to know.

I booked them before anything else because I was so sure about them and I was right. They were so great to work with, fun, sweet, and so talented. I had Amber & Rhiannon do my hair and makeup. They were AMAZING! I loved both and felt like a queen all day. They brought two other stylists to accommodate for my bridal party. Everyone loved their hair and makeup. My sisters were extremely pleased with the results! They really do offer the sunkissed look! Nothing was too dramatic and my makeup held on ALL day through sweat and tears! It was such a pleasant experience!

These ladies do amazing work. I mean from hair to makeup I could not have asked to look more beautiful on my wedding day. They were easy to talk to and so good with the flower girls. I do wish that the trial makeup was included in your cost as they are one of the more expensive groups to work with. I also wish that the makeup artist would wash or wipe her hands between people because three of us got cold sores under our mouths because of the way that she sits her hand on your face while doing your makeup.

Let me start by saying that Sunkissed & Madeup is hands down the best hair/makeup company I have ever worked with. I have had services done at other places for countless events, but Sunkissed is takes the cake every time. I first worked with Amber last August for my engagement pictures. In the past when I have had my makeup done, it's been pretty, but not "me". Amber made me look the way I always dreamt, just a glammed up/flawless version of myself. I shamelessly admit I almost wrecked on my way home because I could not stop looking at myself lol It was a no brainer after that we wanted to use Sunkissed for our wedding and I was so relieved to find out they were still available. The Sunkissed team made not only me, but all of my girls look and feel so beautiful on my wedding day. I cannot recommend them enough!!!

My wedding day was everything I could have hoped for, they were able to do all 12 girls hair/makeup quickly and efficiently in only a few hours, helping us stay perfectly on schedule. I had a vision for my girls, and they captured it flawlessly, everyone looked so stunning. I would choose Sunkissed and Made Up over and over again, and I plan to for all of my special events in the future!

These ladies are the BEST in the business! I have been lucky to have been dolled up by these lovely ladies 8 times over the past 8 years and can genuinely say that whoever you get from this team for your wedding day will be amazing!! They can do it all, from natural to glam to anything in between! I, myself, have extremely curly, thick long hair that not many people can handle and they are able to transform it every time!! And not only are they amazing at their skill, but they are a BLAST to get ready with! They are fun, personable, and really care about their brides! Their professionalism is unmatched. I have noticed many ladies try to cut corners when it comes to hair and make up claiming that the prices are too much, but the effort, energy, time, and investment in quality products these ladies provide is worth more than gold to look and feel your absolute best on your wedding day! They are worth every penny!! I could not recommend them more, you will not regret booking with these ladies.

SKMU came highly recommended and did not disappoint! Professional-On Time-Listened to Concerns-Made sure everyone was satisfied. Makeup was beautiful and taylored for each skin tone. Slightly elevated for the formal affair, but not overdone. Stayed on beautifully the entire evening. Updos were beautiful, elegant and not too tightly put together so they looked modern and not like grandma! 8 ladies in 4.5 hours and all were stunning!! The owner, Taylor, is the epitome of professional! You will love SKMU!

Sunkissed and Made Up is literally the best makeup and hair professionals around... Hands Down! A couple of my friends used SKMU for their weddings, and as a bridesmaid I was able to experience first hand how amazing their work is! Now as a bride I have used them twice already (for my engagement pictures and bridals) and all I can say is that they are SO WORTH IT! The ladies that work there are extremely professional and by the time everything is all said and done you are walking out of their studio looking and feeling like a million bucks. The money that you spend on their services is well worth it, because it is an investment! It's not everyday that I'll be getting married and I want to make sure that I am completely happy with my memories. I know a few brides that cut costs on their hair and makeup and ended up hating the way they looked and by then it was too late to do anything about it. Trust me, they are worth it, and you will not regret investing in them.

All the girls at sunkissed are soooo talented, creative and know how to make a girl feel like a queen!!!! They work hard and diligently while making sure whoever is in their is having a good time!! They’re very good at listening and understanding what the client wants while also giving them that extra glam factor they never knew they needed! They worked on me, the bride, multiple times for different shoots and events before wedding day and the worked on all my bridesmaids and some of my loved ones the morning of. Every single one of my girls felt so beautiful which in return make me a happy happy bride. Love the girls here and i will definitely be stopping by their studio anytime i need some glam!!

I cannot say enough good things about Sunkissed and Made Up! Seriously so amazing. Amber was our makeup artist, and Amy did our hair (9 women total). They stayed on schedule and were incredibly enjoyable to work with! All the girls looked STUNNING! We had a mix of half up, all down, and up-dos, and all were beautiful. The makeup was bronzy and natural, but if you asked for something more dramatic they were excellent at that too! Overall such a great experience. I've had multiple people who are getting married ask me who I used because they wanted to book them! My husband even said that this was the best makeup and hair he had seen for a wedding party, and he usually doesn't notice that stuff ;)

If you want to look your absolute best, book with SK&MU! I cannot say enough good things about this company and I was honored to have them make me feel like the most beautiful bride! My girls looked absolutely amazing and I still can’t get over how beautiful my mom looked and my mother in law! My entire wedding party, including myself, were running super late and gave them a late start but Amy and Taylor worked MAGIC! Fast and efficient. Taylor was so so amazing and I admire her and how great she has built her business (as I too am in the beauty industry) and Amy was so so sweet and extremely talanted. PERFECTION!! Taylor did my makeup for my bridals as well as mine and my bridesmaids' makeup the day of our wedding. I am a tad bit picky about my makeup and she made sure each and every one of us were 100% happy. Also, she did airbrush makeup, and false lashes on all 6 of us in under 3 hours!

Abby and Chelsea were my wedding glam squad and they were amazing! They arrived on time, were professional, and were truly a pleasure to be around. My bridesmaids and I looked absolutely gorgeous thanks to these fabulous ladies. My hairstylist doesn't do weddings, so she recommended Sunkissed and Made Up. When my wedding coordinator and photographer heard I hired Sunkissed, they were so excited because their work is flawless. I couldn't have been happier with my hair and makeup!
