tiful and I was really relaxed and excited about the wedding day. However, the day of the wedding my experience was different. They arrived to the venue before us and when my party walked into the bridal suite it was extremely awkward. The greeting was very cold and snarky. To be fair, the ladies in the room were not the same ones there the day of my trial. I tried to lighten the mood a couple times and one of the stylists snapped at me for my hair being damp. I told her that I was last and my hair would be fully dry by the time it was my turn. I also had told the company prior that I would be styling my natural curls so there was no need for heat to be used much if at all. No one congratulated me or seemed excited at all and left me feeling really uncomfortable the first part of the day. As more people started arriving the vibe got better and lighter. When I was in the chair we had pleasant conversations. We did have a big party, but towards the end they started rushing and even tried to leave before my mother in law was able to go, and then accused us of adding people to the original count which was totally false. We paid for each person that received a service ahead of time. They ended up staying and finishing but my MIL was unsatisfied with the final result. I also had to have my sister fix my eyes because my makeup went everywhere during my first look with my dad. She said she used waterproof but my eyeliner spread all over my face from a little tearing up. I’m not really one to complain and even now I feel so bad because I loved my trial so much, but it wasn’t the best overall experience.

y eyes did not react well to the fake lashes, so for no charge I got a second trial just so I could love the outcome of my make up! The second trial went much better and I got recommendations to prepare for the big day as well. On wedding day my make up looked even better than the trials! My hair also looked gorgeous and held up my very heavy veil as well. They were sweet, professional, and even got everyone ready early! I recommend you give these ladies a try!

Their pricing was definitely the best out of comparable options that I looked at! The two girls that did our services were super entertaining, bubbly, easy to talk to, and brought a positive energy and upbeatness to the bridal suite- along with their amazingly impressive hair and makeup skills! Sometimes I've had stylists that are skilled at either hair OR makeup, but both of these ladies were incredible at hair AND makeup! Since we had extra time on the schedule, and some bridesmaids decided they wanted more services than they had initially requested for the contract, Sunny Hair and Makeup gladly added those services on the spot- which was SO not necessary and something that many other beauty companies definitely wouldn't do! They made sure that all of the girls (myself included!) were happy with our looks. They highlighted everyone's beauty and made everyone look absolutely amazing! I am so grateful that we ended up using Sunny Hair and Makeup for our actual wedding day.

Our morning getting ready felt rushed even though we did not have all the girls we had planned for. There was also a misunderstanding and no one came to my wedding site for touch ups as we had talked about. All in all lots of misses that outweigh the positives of the experience. I would not recommend using this vendor as hiring them is the biggest regret of my wedding planning. I so wish I had gone with another hair and makeup artist.

she had tested positive for COVID. She indicated she was trying to get a backup artist and that their “schedule was emailed today” so she would get back to me. Two days later, three days before the wedding, Sunny texted me that she had taken another COVID test which came back negative and that she could work our wedding day. This seemed odd to me, but I was hopeful. After speaking with my bridesmaids and family we decided the risk of potential exposure was too high. We had specifically planned an intimate wedding outdoors to lessen any possible risk and her positive result was just too hazardous. I informed Sunny that we were not comfortable having her or her workers (due to potential exposure to her – I am unaware of their working conditions) work on us. She genuinely seemed sorry in the moment and that was the end of the conversation. The Sunday immediately following the wedding I reached out regarding a refund. Looking back, I regret not bringing it up before the wedding when she had contacted me three days prior. I was in the middle of finals week and was extremely busy with wedding plans (&trying to figure out how to do my hair and makeup). I was genuinely shocked when I received her reply. She stated that since I (referring to me) canceled, that I would not be receiving any refund and that it was non-negotiable. After replying to her that I never intended to cancel our appointment and that this was solely due to her positive COVID test result less than a week before the wedding, she sent me less than $300 back. This was after spending money on a hair and makeup trial as well as over $700 worth for what was supposed to be on the day-of. I have spent over $1,000 with this company only to receive a TRIAL by one of her fill-in makeup artists. I am so grossly disappointed with how this company has handled my situation. Having my hair and makeup done on my wedding day was a dream of mine and something I had saved up for for months. I sincerely hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else and that my situation was a fluke, but I will never feel comfortable ever giving them my business, or recommending them, again.

She really engaged in conversation and honestly she felt like just one of the girls. If someone was indecisive, she helped them decide by pointing out their strengths. She was honest in the best way - you don't want someone who's going to steer you wrong. And if you didn't like it she was totally open to changing how you wanted it. I would suggest Linna to everyone - she really was a treat.

to finish my hair and makeup on my big day. She mentioned she was inexperienced with makeup and we had to redo my eye makeup around 5 times and I still left home with wiggly eyeliner. I told her not to overline my lips and yet she still did. We spent so much time on my makeup she did my hair in about 10-15 minutes and I freaked out when I saw the results. Girls if you have curly hair-she does not know how to work with it. She did not know how to work with my curly hair and my hair ended up being very frizzy and looked very messy. Definitely not a bridal look. We didn’t even have time to test out the veil and where to put it and how to take it off. I paid for a trial so I would know everything ahead of time and would not have to worry day of. I don’t know why Sunny would hire and keep someone like that. I told Sunny my situation and showed her pictures of the result of my trial. She offered to break the contract and refund my deposit for the wedding; however, she refused to refund me for the$170 trial stating that she still needed to pay the artist. You pay her when she does her job right and when I get the right results. You don’t make people pay for a service that ends up going wrong with frizzy hair and wiggly eyeliner. You should apologize and make it up. Very unprofessional, unexperienced, and money loving company.

I do not know what the additional charge was for the bride. I personally did not feel like any additional tools/time were spent on me that were not already spent on the bridal party but aside from the upcharge I really liked how my wedding day makeup and hair turned out. I suppose that is just the wedding upcharge that goes with the industry. The girls were very professional and nice. They worked fast and kept us on our timeline for my big day. The bridal party and I received so many compliments on our makeup and hair. I would highly recommend them.

pril gave us stunning Instagram-worthy hairstyles. And it was clear they have years of experience with professional makeup as we felt glamorous but still natural. They provided great service for me the bride, and my bridesmaids and mothers. Sunny was also very patient and understanding with our 6 month rescheduled date due to COVID.

g day, they just had to reference back to my trial photos to complete my look. With two artists, they knocked out 5 bridesmaids, 2 mothers and me in the timeline they provided. They were both so professional, fun and high energy. I loved that they engaged with us while we were getting pampered. Plus, they were so great at making last minute tweaks before packing up to leave. Mostly just all the extra hairspray & bobby pins. I highly recommend Sunny Hair & Make-Up!

In our trial, she paid attention to the time it took to create the look the first day so we knew how much time to set aside on the wedding day without running late. Then, when my bridals had to be rescheduled, she accommodated my re-do into her Sunday-morning schedule when we realized that there were no other options for everyone involved in my bridal portraits. On the day of, my makeup stayed intact all day except for a little bit on the tip of my nose (thanks Eskimo kisses) after couples portraits which she had warned me about (“don’t ‘wipe’ tears - dab them” was the advice but I see how it applies), and I was easily able to touch it up myself. Thanks to Sunny and her wonderful job, you couldn’t tell in person (and still can’t tell in pictures) that I had a 101° fever the day of. THAT’S how great her coverage was. Highly recommend if you’re looking for that perfect Pinterest recreation!
