ou don't just get fantastic food, you get so many extra thoughtful and decorative touches to make everything perfect. Throughout the planning process, Janet was very responsive and answered all my questions. She made a detailed proposal with associated costs of food and labor. My parents were paying for the wedding dinner and my in-laws for the rehearsal dinner, so she was able to make to separate proposals to deal with each event separately. I was able to use my own collection of vintage plates for the rehearsal dinner and dessert table and Janet arranged all other rentals including a tent, linens, dishware, silverware, and barware. When the week of the wedding arrived, I drove up early to start setting things up and Janet had a huge team of people! They helped unload my packed car to set up everything in the right places for me. I certainly would have been there many hours longer without their help! Janet even sat down and helped iron out some wedding day issues with me that were completely unrelated to her catering services. I was very stressed that day and she helped calm my nerves which I appreciated so very much at that time! When wedding weekend arrived, the proposal came to life and the food was so perfect. I was floored by how beautiful the rehearsal dinner was set up with all the extra decorative touches to make things beautiful. The Italian appetizers and dinner were delicious, and service was very professional. On wedding day, we had a pre-cocktail hour drinks, refreshments, and charcuterie table which was lavish on its own. The cocktail hour had tables and hand passed hors d'oeuvres that we had picked out. We had some classic items and also some fun, unique additions like grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters and delicious vegan noodles in to-go boxes. So fun for cocktail hour! Dinner was served, with a salad course and main course of steak, salmon, or vegetarian lasagna. Janet was also able to provide gluten-free and vegan options and cater to any allergies of my guests. The reception was set up perfectly the way I set up in my table layout. There was also a gigantic dessert table set up with everything you could want - cupcakes, mini pies, donuts, and tarts. Something for everyone and also a small cake for the official cutting. The entire table was decorated beautifully. Outside on the patio by the bonfire, Janet set up a extravagant smores bar with individually wrapped chocolates. And finally, for the late night after party we had delicious pizzas for anyone that still had room for more. Everyone loved the food and I got so many compliments during and after the wedding. Needless to say, no one left my wedding hungry. For your wedding day food you can't go wrong with Sunrise, and I cannot recommend them enough.

In the week leading up to our wedding, there were a lot of different things going on that made it quite stressful, but of all the people we were working with, nobody was as reassuring and as helpful as Janet was, and I truly appreciate how much she put my mind at ease, and how helpful she was in every area of the rehearsal dinner. On the night, the food was great, and as we had gone for a lobster boil, it was not easy to cater for the 60+ guests we had, and yet all the food was perfectly cooked, and was delicious! All of the team with Sunrise were incredibly friendly, professional and just helped make our night fantastic, and I would highly recommend Janet and all of her team for any catering event you have!

st easy. I was super stressed out about the catering - my husband is a foodie, and I knew that the food would be probably his biggest takeaway from the day. I've also been to weddings where the food was just "fine" - and I knew that that was not going to be sufficient for him and the foodie friends we had coming. :-) Enter Janet and Sunrise. I don't know how many times we emailed Janet with changes and special requests - and she and her team were so patient and accommodating. I was just so grateful that they were up for changing things and tweaking them and accommodating us to make everything perfect. And the food we ended up with was DELICIOUS. Everyone - everyone, including the people I was most worried about - spontaneously told us how great it was! The presentation was perfect, too, and totally fit with the theme we had going. Janet worked really hard to get a sense of what I was looking for aesthetically so she could make everything blend in seamlessly. But the thing that actually made the most difference was that their help went way beyond just preparing and serving delicious and beautiful food. I live abroad, so my mom handled a lot of the planning, and we both ultimately relied on Janet and her team for so much of the organisation of the day generally. Janet networked with all our other vendors. Our venue was DIY, and Sunrise even did the break-down at the end of the night, letting us just walk away when the party was done without having to worry about all the decorations we'd put up. They met several times with us in the lead-up to make sure everything was taken care of. Every time my mom and I had an "Oh no! We didn't think of that!" moment, Janet would jump in, that she could handle that, and not to worry. Go with Sunrise if you possibly can - they are fantastic, both as people to work with, and in terms of the results! You'll be glad you did!

difference in the months leading up to your big day and on your big day! There are no words to express how accessible, reliable, professional, caring, detailed oriented and overall amazing they are! First, let me start with how personable and involved Janet was with our wedding throughout the entire year and a half process. As soon as we booked them, I never felt uncomfortable e-mailing or calling her about anything! She was always so eager to respond and alleviate any concerns I had. Secondly, I'm a big foodie, so when it comes to "wedding food" and catered dishes I usually expect mediocre results, but their menu is absolutely fabulous and diverse! Janet's husband is the chief, and you can tell he cooks with care and detail as if it were an intimate dinner party. Their food doesn't taste or look like a mass production. I wanted rustic/New American and they delivered! When I took a bite of my BBQ chicken and mac and cheese on our wedding day I was so shocked at how good it was and that I would actually eat it outside of a wedding or catering scenario! And the h'orderves were just as good, if not better! And not to mention how gorgeous everything was displayed! It was a replica of my ambitious rustic wedding Pinterst page! My guests are still raving about how good the food and service was at my wedding. I've been to several sit-down dinners at weddings and they weren't nearly as elegant and organized as my "buffet" style was. Each server was well dressed in a classy black tie uniform and took great care of each of our guests. Nobody needed anything! You have to also know that when you hire Sunrise Catering, you're not just getting a food and beverage service, you are getting a group of invested wedding experts that will truly go above and beyond to make your day run perfectly. They genuinely care about you and making you happy! It's not just a business for them. What's most special, is that whey were so determined to realize all my visions. I had a very strong idea of what I wanted from the decorations to the cocktail hour, down to the favors and dessert table, and they made it their mission to execute it all. Despite feeling anxious and incredibly overwhelmed about having the perfect day, I always felt like I was in great hands with Janet and her team. I remember always feeling better when I got off the phone with Janet and especially after we had our run through the days before our wedding. My wedding day was perfect and everything I wanted it to be and I owe a lot of that to Sunrise Catering. They were truly a huge part of my dream team vendors. I consider myself a tough critic and as a news producer by trade, I am naturally very organized and detail driven, so I wouldn't just give 5 stars to anybody. Sunrise Catering earned it! They are worth every penny of their reasonable fee and will do more for you than most other caterers. It's a no brainer! If you're having a wedding anywhere near the Oneonta/NY Berlin/Gilbertsville/Norwich or upstate region, you have to go with Sunrise, because they will take on your wedding as if it was one of them getting married! I highly doubt you'll get that personal touch anywhere else!

My guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious the food was: we had an upscale BBQ menu with roast pork, lots of seasonal (August) veggies, and peach cobbler for dessert. They took all our decorations and set everything up, which was critical for us because the ceremony was early in the day and 30 min. drive from the reception venue. They even sent us home with the leftovers! Throughout the process, Brittany was very responsive every time I had a question or a menu update. They were great at accommodating everyone's dietary needs (including a guest with severe food allergies). Sunrise also has a reputation for being one of the more expensive catering options, but for what you get for the money, I can't imagine a better value.

e point, we opted for a mid-range buffet service, which was presented in a lovely, classic way and did not appear cheap or scaled down in the least. I was concerned initially-- but should not have been-- about the 1 hour distance between Sunrise's prep kitchen in Oneonta, and my Bellearye Mountain venue but this proved not to be an issue and the food was fresh and temperatures were spot on. Specifically, the Macaroni and cheese and roast pork buffet options OUT OF THIS WORLD. Almost too many foods to choose from, but all seem to be equally succulent...good luck making a decision here:) My guests offered high praises for the food, which is always a good sign. Brittany and her staff do an amazing job. Very professional, curteous, and responsive. Brittany herself is a pleasure to work with to coordinate your event and communicates very well and in a highly punctual manner.
