My wedding was June of 2022. This review is more a reflection on our DJ rather than the company as a whole. The company was wonderful to work with and always answered back in a tim...
ely manner. They were great to work with! We had a DJ named Mike. He was a last minute replacement due to the original catching Covid. Totally understandable! However, he showed up late, many comments were made about him looking like he did not want to be there and did not introduce himself to the couple. He played the wrong music several times and needed to be corrected by the Bride and Groom, and prioritized requests over the couples choice in music. During the ceremony he made two big mistakes that changed the tone of the event before it had even started. He also played first dance and parent dances for the entire songs rather than the shortened versions we had asked for. We felt this was a damper on the moment for all involved because it was obvious to guests and the couple that the DJ was not preforming up to standard. All in all the event went well but DJ plays a large roll and we are very disappointed that the day of experience wasn't nearly as great as the rest of the planning process with the company.
Dominic was amazing! He came with our Karl Strauss package so we were a little concerned at first to be honest. However, he was extremely responsive in the organizing stage and hel...
ped move the night along so wonderfully! He read the crowd well on the dance floor and played music accordingly. We were so happy with his service and would highly recommend him to anyone!
Dominic did an AMAZING job!!! He was fun, engaging, but not too “in-your-face”. He did SO good, would 100% hire him again! Thank you, Dominic!!
Dominic did an excellent job at an excellent price!

sic that kept our guests dancing all evening! Of all the vendors that we talked with Dominic was by far the most responsive and on top of his business. He created the perfect setting and was involved without taking attention away from us! Look no further for your DJ!

Booking our wedding DJ with Sunset Mobile Music was the best decision. Dominic is incredible. As a matter of fact, he was the ONLY DJ we met with and knew right away he was The One...
. He has a ton of experience—so much so that he already knew my caterer, venue coordinator, and photographer. This was an incredible relief as they’d all worked together before AND he was familiar with our venue, too. We had no idea how to do our wedding entrance or set up his DJ area but Dominic took care of all of it. He even went over my timeline and suggested a small change with speeches that made all the difference and I’d have never caught. As for the music? Our guests LITERALLY never left the dance floor unless it was to step outside for air since they’d been dancing their asses off or hit the bar to hydrate ;) I met with him ONCE, sent him maybe 2 emails and 1 call to ca my nerves and everything was perfect and seamless. Dominic is fun without being over the top, professional but not stiff, animated but not honey and an overall awesome person. Book this man!!
Sunset Mobile far exceeded my expectations! Everything was made so easy! Payment, song selection, communication was prompt.

Vince the dj - kept the party going and was overall great!
Book this dj - you won't regret it!
Dominic was even better than I could have imagined for my wedding DJ! He completely nailed everything we wanted for our big day, and there were people on the dance floor NON-STOP! ...
We had people all night telling us that they don't normally dance at weddings, but they just couldn't help it with how the vibe felt, and I know this is all thanks to the amazing Dominic!!! I was a destination wedding so I was a little worried about booking all my vendors without meeting them, but I did not regret this decision whatsoever! He is the best DJ I've experienced at a wedding, and definitely knows the ways to keep to crowd moving :)

g so much less stressful. He was happy to help our wedding dreams become a reality, making sure to accommodate our specific requests. On our wedding day, he was perfect! He helped make sure myself and my groom were enjoying ourselves, kept the party going, and even highlighted details of our wedding to our guests, such as the homemade favors. If you're looking for a fun DJ who will also help your wedding go smoothly, Dominic and Sunset Mobile Music is the way to go!

Our DJ was named Jason and he was amazing! He got guests dancing naturally and played the songs we requested and other songs that fit perfectly with our venue! He also was amazing at getting guests inside to eat/cake cutting/ etc.
the pricing is also hard to beat! Amazing pricing and Dominick the owner is so prompt to answer emails!
Dominic was amazing! Played everything we wanted, had the perfect level of party we wanted, and everything went smooth! Highly recommend!!

ngs were getting rushed. He got everyone out on the dance floor dancing all night. The best part was my husband was very specific with songs and the timing of them and he did exactly as requested! He also did music during our ceremony which was great and the timing of all the songs were perfect. He was great at communicating and responds very quickly to emails. I cannot say enough good things about Dominic.

It was the perfect combination to keep everyone on the dance floor all night! He also kept the reception timeline flowing. Super fun and easy to work with.

on, he responded to us right away. He was very enthusiastic and our guests loved him. He was also reasonably priced. Dominic made everything very easy and painless. He arrived at the venue early and made sure everything was ready to go. Dominic definitely made our wedding special.
The only critique I had was some of the music selection. We had a set music playlist from his online portal that wasn't followed very well. He did play some of the songs on the playlist just not many of them. The songs he played were still good, I just wished that more of the songs we selected were played. I would advise anyone who contracts with Dominic to be clear and very explicit about what music you would like at your event. I would definitely recommend him.

mostly because he knew exactly how to read the room. He was also a great MC that wasn't cheesy and was a great professional.

ed on his planning sheet (which made planning a BREEZE!) but he also matched his song selections with the genres we picked. In addition, guests were able to ask him to play songs and he did so with much enthusiasm!! I can’t wait to have another event requiring a DJ and to recommend him to everyone I know!!
Our DJ was the best! He listened to our ideas and requests and made sure everyone was on the dance floor the whole night. Everyone has complimented us on our DJ!
Dominic was so great to work with! Our guests never stopped dancing and many even made a point to comment on how awesome he was (in music choice and character). Highly recommend!

rried in March at the Safari Park and I was glad to know that he had experience working with the park before. He was prompt with any and all responses before the wedding and really helped to relieve us (and my parents) of our stress. Their website allows you to pick the songs of specific moments in your wedding (precessional, bride's precessional, grand entrance song, cake cutting...etc), having the list top 20 picks of each moment was SO helpful. If we couldn't think of a song on our own, we could rely on that list and not stress. A few times I even said that I trust Dominic's judgement and he did not let me down! We had people dancing the ENTIRE night, including people that NEVER dance and the grandparents! He played a perfect mix of genres that kept everyone going and went with the flow so well.
Dominic's wife, Carolynn, is a wedding coordinator and we decided to go with both of them. I cannot stress how much every bride should have a month-of or at the very least, a day-of coordinator, specifically Carolynn. We only had access to the Safari Park 2-3 hours in advance so we knew we couldn't set up our decor on our own--Carolynn took care of everything! I can be a control freak and with my wedding, it was even worse. I was nervous the entire morning but when I got to the park and saw what a wonderful job she did, I immediately relaxed and could actually enjoy my wedding day! She took care of all of the stressful parts for me and ensured that the day ran smoothly, that we stayed on track for our timeline but also worked to allow for hiccups and unplanned moments.
I am so glad that we found both of them, they truly made our wedding day SO special!

avorite songs as well as the songs we would dance for first dance, father daughter, and son and mom dance. we stayed in touch and sent updates to our list as needed and he always responded to us promptly. he incorporated all our songs and made the wedding very lively. he was also very friendly and a great presence to have at the wedding.
Dominic was quick to reply to messages, all music requests, and even went the extra mile when we requested to have video added to the event at the last minute. The music was great,...
he kept the crowd entertained and dancing. What else could you ask for?! I definitely would recommend Sunset Mobile Music!

y to work with! He helped me choose the music and styles that would flow best. He even made a last minute change the day before the wedding! We love how he took charge in announcing some special events and had fun with our guests! We loved working with Dominic so much we plan on using him for all of our special events. No need to search for an excellent DJ when you have Dominic Meyer- Sunset Mobile Music! Thanks for all the fun, Dominic, and for making our day so very special!

e were so lucky we found him!
Dominic was the DJ at a friend's wedding and as soon as we experienced his energy and the atmosphere he brought to their wedding, we knew we wanted the same for ours. I've been to ...
COUNTLESS weddings and had never been overly impressed by a DJ until Dominic.
I expected his pricing to be on par with the rest of the industry, but was incredible relieved to find out he's not only talented, but he's super affordable for any budget (and flexible when it comes to customizing a package for your needs).
Dominic was a DREAM vendor - the fastest of any of my vendors to respond to emails, super warm and friendly, and 100% reliable. He showed up on time and I'm pretty sure stayed later than contracted. He genuinely loves what he does and it shows through his authentic enthusiasm.
His sound system was great quality and he had an easy online portal for us to request songs and add our do/do not play lists as well as any ceremony/reception notes.
I highly recommend hiring Dominic. I can't tell you how many compliments we got on the music at our wedding. My biggest fear was an empty dance floor, but there was never a moment where guests weren't out of their seats dancing.
This is one area of your wedding where you can save a little money, but won't have to worry about sacrificing quality whatsoever.
Sunset Mobile Music, owner Dominic Meyer, was the DJ for our November 20, 2017 wedding at The Bernardo Winery in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego. Dominic was extremely professional, pe...
rsonable and helpful throughout the process from the day of booking, up to the big day. He has a very detailed questionnaire which helps ensure the music and cadence of your wedding is met, which was extremely helpful especially since we had requested special music mixes for our processional and recessional songs.
Sunset Mobile Music supported the outdoor ceremony and outdoor cocktail hour perfectly to our requests and was very timely with song choices to keep the older crowd happy earlier while keeping the younger people on the floor for the entire evening. Also just as important the role of being DJ, is the dueling role of MC because he knows the flow of weddings from ceremony to last dance and everything in between, keeping the event on time and in accordance with out wedding venue arrangements. As the sun went down, the ambience at our outdoor reception, with twinkling white lights in the trees, were enhanced by stunning Burgundy uplighting that was also provided by Sunset Mobile Music. And let's not forget how beautiful the evening photos turned out! Our guests had nothing but complimentary words about our wedding music, entertainment and ambience. We highly recommend Dominic Meyer and Sunset Mobile Music to DJ & Mc your special wedding day or event.

They were fabulous!! Great music, kept all my guests dancing all night long! Really got a feel for what we wanted, and I think they were very well priced!! Thank you guys!

s personally-driving from La Mesa to Carlsbad! He spent time getting to know us and our "story". Dominic's professionalism and enthusiasm for his work was immediately made evident and became contagious! After sharing our vision for our wedding reception celebration, we felt very comfortable and at ease with Dominic, signing a contract with him on the spot. Thereafter, Dominic worked closely with us-including meeting with us again, as we got closer to the date-he remained always very responsive to us whenever we had a question or request.
On the day of our wedding, we knew that our cocktail hour and reception would be just as we envisioned with a mood and ambiance created by the playlist we created, entrusted to Dominic and his exceptional talent. Dominic created an experience that prompted our guests to say that they had "such a great time and lots of fun" at the "best wedding they have been to"! Wow-thank you Dominic! What better compliment to give to a bride and groom who want to ensure that their wedding is a successful celebration! The success of our cocktail hour and wedding reception was dependent upon Dominic's orchestration of every moment and detail, and our guests did indeed, enjoy every moment, from cocktail hour, to dinner music, to dancing the night away up until the moment Dominic played his last song!
Dominic is a consummate professional who loves the work that he does. He shares in the joy of the celebration, and personally "works the room", ensuring that the guests are enjoying themselves. Dominic's charisma and attention to detail freed my husband and I to simply "let go", and enjoy our event and time with our loved ones. Dominic was not only our DJ, but seemlessly shared in our celebration as if we were his own family!
We had been told time and again that the DJ is the most important thing to consider in wedding planning. We cannot say enough about Dominic Meyer and his incredible talent, music arrangement and playlists, personal commitment and professional enthusiasm and energy. All it will take is a meeting with Dominic, and you will feel that your event will be as important to him as it is to you!
I found out about Sunset Mobile since it was one of the preferred vendors from Karl Strauss - Sorrento Mesa. I like that the company has an online form to fill out your desired son...
gs, genres, and do-not-play lists. This way, it was convenient for my husband and I to do a couple sections at a time, save it, then go back to it, as it may seem daunting at first. But the reason it looks long, is because they really think of every detail - from bouquet toss song and first dances . They even have a catalog of songs so it will auto-select once you type in a search.
Now for our actual DJ, his name was Jason Morris (on the form you can select different types of "energies/personalities" ) and he was great! All of our directions were followed, guests could request songs too, and everyone keeps telling me how much fun the music and dancing was. Definitely recommend!
Dominic is hands down the best DJ in San Diego area. The day we got our venue booked, we booked Dominic as well. He was a must have for our wedding day. We previously attended 3 we...
ddings with Dominic as the DJ, and at all 3 weddings there were ALWAYS people on the dance floor.
We had a nice consultation with Dominic and he got to know us and our music styles. He has a very detailed questionnaire for you to fill out so he can make sure the wedding music is just what you want. I also really liked that one of the questions was about how the DJ should dress, and the level of energy he has. I honestly think a DJ can make or break a wedding... and he made ours AMAZING! I to this day have people coming up to us and asking about our DJ or complimenting him. We also had multiple people get his card so he could be their DJ (and they are even engaged yet!) Words can not express how lucky I feel that Dominic was part of our big day! I hope to attend many more weddings with him DJing in the future.
Oh and we decided to add uplighting and it was such a great decision. It brought the whole room together. He had no problem adding it on just a few weeks before the wedding. You won't be disappointed if you book Dominic!
Dominic Meyer of Sunset Mobile Music was the host DJ for our daughter's wedding at The Crossings in Carlsbad on October 8th of this year. From the moment my daughter and her fianc...
ée met him, they were impressed with his professional presentation and that he made them feel so at ease. They liked the idea of having their own page on his website to post songs for their playlist and that they could contact him so easily via text and email about any last minute details or concerns they might have about the ceremony and reception.
Dominic made a personal visit to to the venue several days in advance to discuss logistics with our event planner, putting our minds at ease.
On the day of the wedding, everything went off smoothly. Dominic provided sound and music at the ceremony, cocktail hour, and throughout the reception, along with upscale lighting and logo projection. My wife and I were thrilled when so many of the guests came up to us and told us that it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Dominic was terrific all night. The dance floor was hot all night, and everyone had fun. Dominic took the time to personally talk to many of the guests.
If you are looking for a reliable DJ to host your special day, look no further. Dominic Meyer and Sunset Mobile Music are the best in the business.
Thanks, Dominic, for making our daughter's wedding an event they will never forget!

uss uses consistently. This DJ is amazing!! From the beginning, we loved how easy it was to make our own playlists and set up our own style on our online account. Also, any questions we had were answered promptly and accurately--we didn't have to worry about a thing.
Now, at the wedding reception... we were BLOWN AWAY with how great he was!!! He knows how to feel a room and adjust the music accordingly so that the dance floor is always packed. So many of our guests commented to us on how awesome our DJ was and that it was the best time they have ever had at a wedding (as I'm sure you know, the DJ is a HUGE part of that, brides!!). Besides being great at what he does, he is also very kind, fun, and makes sure you are happy.
We will absolutely recommend Sunset Mobile Music for anyone looking for a DJ for ANY event. Simply the best!!!

very song that my husband and I wanted and more. The DJ was very intuitive and played all the best music. I wish I had a CD made of every song that was used. I HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a professional group to DJ your wedding, corporate event, etc.
I even forgot to submit the DJ form with all our final choices of music and called Dominic FREAKING OUT. In my mind, everything was screwed up (it was 2 weeks before the wedding and for every bride, you know what i'm talking about). Dominic called me back right away and calmed me down and assured me everything would be fine. He was very accommodating and nice.
I highly recommend them!

Jason was our DJ the night of the wedding. He was friendly, helpful and had a great personality. He was great with getting the little kids to dance and the adults. He was very professional and so much fun!
I highly recommend this company for any event!

tle nervous hiring a DJ for our wedding without hearing them first, but after speaking to the staff at Karl Strauss and reading some online reviews, I was confident they'd do a great job for our big day. Dominic, the owner, was very receptive to our questions and concerns. He took some time to meet with me to go over our selections, and even put together a special song for my father/daughter dance. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch. Jason, the DJ that was onsite, played everything as discussed and kept people dancing all night long. It was a perfect day! I'd definitely hire Sunset Mobile Music for future events. Thank you, Dominic and Jason!
Sweetest man to work with! Their website is easy to use and makes great recommendations! Couldn't be happier!

ic! While my husband and I were eating our dinner and other guests were being served, we noticed Dominic was going around to some of our tables chatting with our guests - we REALLY loved that and our guests all commented on how nice he is. The DJ was selected by our venue, but we couldn't be any happier with Sunset Mobile Music. The website for song selection was easy to work with, but submitting our own music to the...
m over email was a breeze. We had rather unique ceremony music, but based on the style, they were able to select additional seating/pre-ceremony music that matched up absolutely perfectly. The DJ was open to requests during the reception, but again, they looked at the theme of songs we already requested and stuck with that. The dance floor was packed for the entire reception, and not once did we find ourselves thinking "This song? Really?" as we have at other weddings. The personality of the DJ was just right for our event. I've seen weddings where a bad DJ has made it a less-than-enjoyable time for the bride and groom, so I'm fortunate that we had Sunset at ours. They hit it out of the park so much, that we still get comments from friends about how great a party the wedding was. The DJ was the main reason for that. I've recommended them to friends who have had a similar experience to mine.
He had everything ready to go and had all the songs we wanted. My only complaint was that our first dance song was played too low. We could barely hear it.
My husband selected our DJ through his network of people he knows. We hand selected Frank as our wedding DJ and I couldn't be more pleased with this! He was flawless in his execu...
tion of our wedding music selection (I had downloaded special versions of each song and just emailed the owner to use). Everything went very smoothly, and he had EVERYONE dancing ALL NIGHT - at my wedding, which I figured only a few people would dance! I highly recommend Frank at Sunset Mobile Music.
Dominic was absolutely amazing in every way. Made our party a party! He's fun and upbeat and knows his music!!
