Sunset Ridge Farm Wedding/Event Venue, Wilderness Lodge

Sunset ridge farm was my absolute dream wedding venue! It was so magical and beautiful! The staff there were so helpful and kind the whole weekend and did anything and everything for us. They made everything go super smooth and made sure everything was just how I wanted it to be!

An undeniably beautiful venue! Our wedding ceremony, October 26, 2024, was truly a fairy tale in the making! This place is absolutely gorgeous with all the rustic vibes, feels, original country style decor and ambience. Nestled within the Daniel Boone National Forest, near the Red River Gorge, this hidden gem can be found. The entire property is stunning and laid out so well. The venue itself is beautiful, meticulously up-kept and clean. The rustic feel and open concept of the reception barn, lodge and Chapel, made it the perfect space for us to decorate, personalize, and welcome our family and friends. The property allowed us to mingle easily with our guests while the acreage gave us space to get away, alone, for a few minutes as well as take some amazing photos. The natural wildflowers, which frame up the Chapel and walkway, are truly aesthetically pleasing and made my Pinterest board come to life. The facade of an almost abandoned, but rustic look/feel of the Chapel's main entrance, instantly drew me into wanting to book this venue! The ceremony space was so picturesque as our family and friends were seated comfortably while watching us say our vows and I do’s along with the open-air concept of the Chapel itself which offered the utmost natural beauty backdrop of nature and wildflowers. The sweet family who owns and runs the venue, are professional, organized, friendly and so welcoming and hospitable. Anytime I had a question, my emails were answered promptly with detailed information. Julie and her staff run this venue like a well-oiled machine to which I appreciate her Type A personality. She knows exactly to the minute, what needs to take place/happen and what will transpire into making your wedding day run as smoothly as possible. I encourage you to visit in person and take in the space. So much potential, charm and southern hospitality!

We had our wedding at Sunset Ridge Farm and Events, and it was perfect! The staff was amazing—attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. Their support made our day run smoothly and stress-free. The venue itself was pristine; everything was so clean and well-maintained. The lodge, barn, and chapel had a beautiful ambiance that enhanced our celebration. We received countless compliments from our guests about how stunning the setting was. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience at Sunset Ridge Farm. If you’re considering a venue for your special day, this is the place to be!

The staff at the Sunset Ridge Farm is incredible!!! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married and have the wedding party, ceremony, and reception all in a singular location. The staff is fantastic and very professional. The venue space is gorgeous. Julie and her team worked to make sure my wedding ran as smoothly as possible and I could t be more grateful. They made my wedding truly unforgettable and I cannot thank them enough. ❤️

Sunset Ridge Farm was amazing! They are so accommodating & know exactly how to keep your day running smoothly. We had some storm right at our ceremony time, but they were able to keep everything on schedule. The attention to detail helped us in so many ways. Having everything in one place & all you have to do is text them for any help you may need.. they will be there immediately. I am so happy to have found this venue and meet the amazing team that they have to help. Even in the heat of summer this venue is perfect, with a pool to relax in before the wedding. I recommend this venue to everyone!

We absolutely loved getting to work with Julie & the staff at Sunset Ridge for our wedding! Our guests loved the site & we’re still getting compliments on how beautiful everything was! We didn’t have any worries all weekend (luckily) and Sunset Ridge is a huge reason for that. It really was an amazing day & I’m so glad we were able to have it take place at Sunset Ridge!!!

I had a great wedding at Sunset ridge! They were helpful, always there for questions, and kind! Very personable, even though I had only met her once, I felt pretty comfortable! I had her and her husband's number just in case. The lodge was gorgeous, and clean! I recommend it to anyone that wants to have a wedding there, it makes it so much easier to decorate and go to bed the night before. The chapel was gorgeous for the ceremony, it is perfect for a summer wedding. Julie was understanding of things that weren't in our control. As a type A person, I was mostly able to decide how I want things and that was that. We are also receiving a surprise gift from them! I had a great wedding, I am very happy I chose SR! Now onto the more nitpicky things I have to say... the parking area needs to be more noticeable, we personally put up balloons because so many were driving right past lol. Our drinks throughout the reception kept disappearing. Multiple of my friends and I had full drinks thrown away by staff, while we were dancing. When you are paying for the liquor, it is sad to see it thrown away so quickly. My mom was told very early in the night that it was time to start cleaning up, she ended up only being able to dance one or two songs with me, she was working/cleaning the rest of the reception. We were also closed down an hour early at 10pm instead of 11pm, I am not sure what happened there. Also, we were never told the staff would be included on the food count. Again, overall, I had a great time, they were very friendly and helpful hosts. With a wedding that is so expensive and a lot of work, it is hard to not be nitpicky about things. I would recommend this place to friends, but I did want to include the not so shiny parts as well.

We just got married at Sunset Ridge Farm a few days ago and to say that it was wonderful would be an understatement. You won’t find a more beautiful property and it is worth the drive. Julie and her team are helpful, knowledgeable, and keep everything running smoothly. As the bride, sometimes I honestly felt as if something went wrong, I didn’t need to know because I knew that they would handle it. When you plan a big day for so long, you want someone who will handle it carefully and with intention- and these are those people. Thank you, Sunset Ridge for the best day ever!

We had our perfect wedding at Sunset Ridge Farm in June 2024. The venue itself is enough to book the place. It is so beautiful and the chapel is so unique. We were able to have our whole bridal party and both sets of parents stay at the lodge for the weekend while we stayed at the newly built bungalow. The bungalow was a great addition as it allowed my introverted husband to decompress after each day away from the chaos of our family and friends. We loved having the bridal party stay at the venue as many of them live states away from us and it was a great time to reconnect by the pool and hot tub. Julie was a fantastic host! Anything we needed she was just a text away including the transportation around the venue. We also utilized the decoration storage she has so that saved us quite a bit of money. Everything went so smoothly the whole weekend and we couldn’t recommend this venue enough!

I had a destination wedding here and it was ABSOLUTELY perfect! Julie and her staff were very attentive to everything and were super kind and sweet. The venue is so beautiful and you can tell the owners take great pride in their venue. They truly helped make my wedding day perfect especially coming from 12 hours away and not meeting anyone or seeing the property in person. I wouldn't have changed a thing and I am so happy with the way that everything had turned out for that weekend. Highly recommend this venue especially if you are looking for a laid back and intimate wedding.

Y’all, do not hesitate to have your festivities at Sunset Ridge! I cannot praise the staff and owners enough for helping make our weekend magical and memorable. This venue has a special place in our hearts after having our wedding weekend there with all of our family and friends, and we will be back for sure! Julie and Richard, you rock! Thank you again!

Julie and all of the staff at Sunset Ridge are incredible! They made our wedding weekend run so smooth and thought of every detail to make our wedding day incredible. We were able to reach Julie for any questions the entire weekend while onsite. Our family stayed onsite in the gorgeous lodge which was a perfect space for little kids and adults to stay and have plenty of room. Our wedding party and guests stayed in nearby AirBnB's. Once onsite, everyone was shuttled and transported with such ease for every moment of the weekend. Onsite is a barn full of antique decor that I used for basically all of my decorations. It made it so easy to not have to bring that with us or worry about buying just for one day. There is so much to choose from! This venue is and entire property is absolutely stunning and everything we wanted for our outdoor and intimate wedding!

Professional and supportive, made everything run like clockwork

This venue is very organized. They do everything to keep the bride, groom, wedding party, and family on time and where they need to be. They do everything in their power to make the wedding day perfect. I loved the vendors (photographer, bartender, and City BBQ) that they suggested.

Absolutely beautiful venue! Chapel, reception barn and 3 story cabin all on the same property. Accommodated 23 of us staying in the cabin together. Julie and her husband and staff were amazing and helped with everything to make it run so smooth. Their suggestions were very helpful. All of the decor that they offer to use is amazing , so much to choose from. Highly recommend this venue. We had a perfect wedding there and everyone had a great time. We used 3 of the vendors that she also recommended. You can’t go wrong at this venue.
