I was very happy with the venue. The venue contact, Kim, left for a new job a couple months prior to our wedding but Candace and Katy took over and everything went smoothly. The ve...
nue itself is absolutely beautiful - the most amazing backdrop at sunset.
The food was outstanding. I was very impressed with the chef. He made 100 filet and scallops meals flawlessly, which is not easy to do. I have been to too many weddings with overcooked steak, but not here, everything was delicious and I received so many compliments on the food. Additionally, the chef was able to accommodate the guests we had with various dietary restrictions.
Next, the women's locker room attendant, Corky, was so sweet and helpful the entire day. She steamed all of my outfits and the bridesmaids dresses, set up our breakfast and lunch, set up makeup and hair stations, and helped with anything I needed.
The venue did a great job of setting up everything as I asked; i.e. color of table cloths, location of tables, aisle setup, those other little details. I did have a month-of-wedding-coordinator who executed my vision and worked with the venue to make everything run smoothly.
A couple things that could be improved on are: golfers were finishing up their rounds around the same time that dinner and speeches were starting. While my dad was giving his toast, a round of golfers were parking carts in the garage area right next to the reception and were laughing and talking very loudly which could be heard over my dad's toast. I understand the venue is a golf club first and a wedding venue second, but I wish those few people had a little more respect to quietly park their carts while toasts were occurring. The only other item was that the venue contacts are not always responsive. I am very organized and expect email responses more quickly (sometimes it would take a week to get a response and I didn't always get confirmation of certain items I had asked about). With that said, when the day came, everything was executed well. It would just provide more peace of mind if the venue contacts responded more quickly and thoroughly throughout the process, especially considering the cost of the event.
Overall, very happy with our choice to get married here.
The only reason I am giving this venue two stars is because of the beautiful backdrop. This venue was a nightmare to work with. Kim was very nice but took FOREVER to get anything d...
one. It took over a month just to book the venue. They made us feel like we were secondary to their members. Speaking of the members, they were EXTREMELY rude to us on our wedding day. Telling us to “get off the golf course, because they’re golfing” while we’re taking our wedding pictures. Members got mad they couldn’t exit the restaurant through the double doors as I WAS ABOUT TO WALK OUT OF DOWN THE ISLE. Kim waited until last minute to finalize the bar menu. The fuse blew during my first dance all the music and lights turned off and THIS ISN’T THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED. Everything was just a sh*t show and if it wasn’t for my wedding planner, Bernadette I’m sure it would have been worse. If i would have known how awful this venue would be to work with i would have taken my MONEY somewhere else.
This was my dream wedding venue. I knew it when we visited, Kim our coordinator was so sweet and professional, she put us at ease, you can tell she has so much experience working w...
ith brides. Everything was so smooth, no matter how many emails full of questions I sent her. The chef there is Phenomenal, he worked with us create a menu we loved, my guests are still talking about how good the food was! Everything was perfect even down to our locker room attendant, Corky. I’m a nursing mom, and I had a few nursing gals in my party and attending our wedding. Corky set up a private place us to pump in one of the showers. My only disappointment was that the staff didn’t serve me and my husband any cake, they gave us the left over to take home, but one tier was completely gone and we didn’t even get to taste it. I wish I would’ve requested a piece of each layer to be set aside for us, when they were serving it I assumed they would do that, but we were up mingling and I didn’t think to request it. Other than that, it was my dream day thanks to Kim and her staff!
Tracy the wedding coordinator, along with her staff were amazing!!! The location is the most beautiful location out there. I cannot even count how many compliments on the venue I r...
