From our first phone conversation, it was very clear how passionate and creative Rob is about making wedding films. We had many requirements in terms of how we wanted our video to be filmed, and Rob was able to meet every detail we threw at him. He is extremely professional, creative, and very thorough when it comes to prewedding planning for the shots and feel, as well as making sure we felt comfortable day of. Rob and Surrender Films are a MUST HIRE vendor! My wife and I were in search of a videographer in the Charleston area who had experience filming at Kiawah Island and we came across Rob’s information online. We are SO thankful that we found him. From our very first call, Rob was exceptionally friendly, professional and open-minded. My wife and I had always envisioned a wedding video that looked like a movie - which would require using drone footage, gimbals, and multiple cameras and Rob was the one to make all of that happy AND MORE! His creativity, attention to detail, and perfection in his craft makes him wonderful to work with. He consistently reached out to us before the wedding to make sure he had all details necessary, and was 100% on top of any questions or asks we had for him. He nailed every element we laid out for him on our shot list and then some! On the day of our wedding, we had inclement and windy weather and were worried that might impact what footage we could get…..but that did not stop Rob and his team in the slightest. To have a vendor contend with something as unexpected as weather and still deliver an amazing final product goes to show you just how talented he really is. We were blown away when we received our wedding footage, and could not believe how perfectly he captured our special day! My husband and I debated on whether or not to have a videographer for our wedding day and we are so happy we did! Rob did an AMAZING job capturing us getting ready and the ceremony and reception! Our videos are better than we could have ever imagined! Rob's editing and production quality is truly amazing. I think we have watched the videos over a 100 times and still get emotional. Rob at Surrender Films was absolutely spectacular! He did such an amazing job with our wedding video. Our feature film really hit all the major highlights of the day! I also really enjoyed how quick we received our social media clips as well!! He was professional and kept us smiling the entire day. He also had a real eye for great opportunity for “the money shot”. If you are on the fence of getting a videographer: do it and hire Rob with Surrender Films. This is the best decision I made throughout my whole wedding planning process (besides the initial proposal of course!). He had a trailer to us the very next day with little snips of our key moments. AND THE VIDEO! Oh my gosh. I cried, I laughed, and ive watched it over and over. I cannot even begin to tell you how blown away we were by the wedding video we received from from Rob. Our wedding video could not have more perfectly captured the essence of our wedding story. I've watched it over and over. The video and audio quality, the shots he got, the way the film was edited, all outstanding. Our wedding trailer was to us nearly immediately so we got to relive the wedding day on our honeymoon. We also love the video gallery that captured all the moments we wanted to see including full ceremony, intros, each speech, dances, etc. There is literally nothing I would have asked more from Rob. Absolutely amazing experience working with Rob.

I have so many great things to say about Rob with Surrender films I don't know where to begin! I was referred to him by a friend who used him for her wedding and her comments and video had me sold, and he exceeded my expectations with his kindness, patience, professionalism, and reliability! He gave me excellent communication leading up to our day wanting to know about us, gave me a timeline and wanting my input and ideas. He went through his process and he made it easy for me! I just received all my videos ( 8 weeks after event) and WOW! I feel like I am reliving my day each time I watch it! One of the best last minute decisions I have ever made was getting a videographer for our wedding, and Rob (and his assistant) captured our wedding day so beautifully. We had our trailer just a few days after our wedding and we had our feature film right on schedule. Rob was easy to work with and make sure to really get our input throughout the whole process. Rob is a talented, creative professional, and he worked seamlessly with our photographers and planners to execute the day. Thanks to his thorough work, we were able to share all of the details of our wedding day with my husband's grandparents who were unable to make the trip to Charleston. It is truly worth every penny! This review is very easy, five stars all day everyday!!! Surrender Films was awesome. We had our trailer in two days!!! Rob was also the quickest to respond to any emails I had during my planning process (even when an overthinking bride like myself emailed him on Thanksgiving morning about an idea for my exit shot, Rob emailed me back within minutes to put me at ease with a great idea). We didn't meet Rob in person until the wedding day, but during our phone calls and emails you can tell he really gets what you're trying to plan and what your day should be about, and in our case, he let it be about us. Rob from Surrender Films went above and beyond on our wedding day to make sure he got the best video footage, and it definitely showed in our wedding film! He arrived early to get footage of both my husband and I getting ready, and he stayed for the entire evening to make sure he got all of the best dance moves! OMG!!!!! Rob you absolutely had me floored (and in tears) watching my wedding video. I can not begin to say how important it will be to have a videographer at your wedding. Rob spent 8+ hours with us on our wedding day, filmed the wedding all by himself and my husband even said the final product looked like something that would take a staff of 100 to do in Hollywood haha, it was just that amazing!! Rob got so many great moments for us, worked so well with our photographers, and was such a gentleman with us as well as our guests the entire day. I was one of those brides who had no idea if I needed a wedding video (or what to look for). I know a lot of people debate the value of getting a videographer for their wedding- YOU NEED TO DO IT! I saw a review before deciding to invest where a bride talked about how valuable her video became after the wedding when her father passed away and she had real footage and voices of him on her special day. That sold me and my fiancé did research. Rob by FAR was able to offer the most value in his packages and had the best quality. Occasionally they have specials so we were able to save a little bit on his largest package. My fiancé did most of the communicating but the week of I was able to hop on the phone with him and review our timeline. On the day of, he worked really well with our photographer (Kate Dye!) and were both able to get incredible shots without getting in each other’s way. He had our trailer done the SAME WEEK as the wedding, which was beautiful to receive while still on our honeymoon. Rob is prepared to adjust as needed during the day- he even remembered a conversation we had that day about our favorite music artist and he was able to use that music in our video. You need a videographer and Rob is an EXCELLENT choice for the Charleston area.

Rob was nothing short of amazing! He showed up early, was extremely patient and provided great direction. He was able to see our vision and make it happen. Rob and his staff shot our wedding in Hilton Head in May. They were so easy to work with! Rob shot our details while we were getting ready and worked seamlessly with our photographer who he had not worked with in the past. We got our trailer in 4 days! It was perfect and made us even more excited to see the full video! If you're debating on hiring a videographer, definitely cut the budget somewhere else and hire Rob!

My husband and I cannot thank Rob enough for capturing our big day!! After finding out a few days before our wedding that our original videographer had passed away, we frantically searched for someone who could at least record the ceremony. Rob did just that and so much more! He found us a drone pilot last minute, was at the venue all day capturing every moment from getting ready to our boat send off and was so helpful and professional throughout the entire process. Surrender Films is THE BEST!!! Rob was very professional, extremely talented, and he paid attention to all of the little details. He exceeded all of our expectations and created more than a video, he told a story of us as a couple and truly captured our personality. Surrender Films truly saved the day! The photography and videography company I had hired cancelled my contract with less than a month until the wedding. Devastated, I searched for a week to try and find replacements, nervous that no one would be available for the date or that I would have a hard time finding a talented person. After searching through companies, most of the videos I had seen were so shaky or zooming in and out repeatedly that I was dizzy by the end of it. Then I received an email from Rob who informed me of the availability on our Wedding Date and was willing to drive down to Amelia Island, in Florida. He showed up early, was very professional and personable. We created so many memories from suggestions for the film and in the process had a blast. The Teaser video of the wedding was sent within a few days of the wedding and our family and friends can't stop talking about what a great job he had done with a fast turnaround. I personally can't even count how many times I have watched the video and I have only had it for a few weeks (but when I do, it makes me feel like I am living in that moment again and all the happiness that I felt that day). Rob truly made me the video of my dreams. I had a certain vision on how I wanted it with certain things that were important to me... like us reading our letters to each other, etc. We talked through everything before hand and he completely got everything I wanted. We talked after as well and I expressed moments of the day I wanted in and he made sure to accommodate everything. Of course, he was taking my feedback but Rob really doesn't need any feedback. He knows exactly what he is doing and will make you an incredible video. He already was planning to add in everything I asked, he gets it. He has been SOOO responsive the entire process. Which to me is one of the most important things when booking anyone for your wedding. He gets how important the day is. Book Rob you will NOTTTTTTT be disappointed. I had to convince my daughter that she needed to have a videographer for her wedding. Wow! Rob and his team were one of the best decisions of our wedding day! He's is so professional and was easy to get a hold of whenever I had any questions leading up to the wedding day. He took time to explain how they normally work at weddings and answered any questions I had. Come time for our wedding, Surrender Films not only captured the day perfectly, but they really helped the day move along smoothly. Simply amazing!!!! Rob and his team blew us away with his video trailer that he had ready for us 2 DAYS AFTER OUR WEDDING!!!! Rob was so easy to communicate with and was always very prompt when answering emails and phone calls. He showed up on the day of, did his thing, and was super professional throughout the entire day. My husband and I BOTH cried watching the video for the first time, that is how well he captured our day. If you want someone who does his job effortlessly and beautifully, Surrender Films is for you. My tip to brides to be: Get a good videographer and photographer. These are the things you are left with to remember your day and you won’t regret it, I promise!

We can not say enough about the experience we had with Surrender Films. Our wedding was originally cancelled in early 2017 due to a family situation. After everything settled, we were not sure if were going to set a new date, and because of our circumstance, it was great to know that Rob was willing to give us a full refund if we decided to go in that direction (he has a great refund policy in his contract that I haven't seen any of our other vendors have). We set a new date, stuck with Rob, and he and his assistant were one of the best things that happened on our wedding day. They were the first to arrive, and my mom told me one of the last to leave after our sparkler exit. Surrender Films worked great with my photographer as if they've been working together for years! My sneak peek trailer is to die for, it was ready just two days after my wedding and I think I've watched it a million times :) Surrender Films captured images that I will be able to look back on at any time with my family, I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful videographer and can not thank Rob and his team enough!!!!!

Rob and his team were amazing, the captured every important moment and some others too. He took his time to make everything turn out amazing. I would recommend surrender films to anyone that is thinking of getting video of their wedding. I'm very pleased with everything he did.
