Other than the formals (which they got through very quickly!), we wanted most of our pictures to be candid. Susannah and Greg did a great job capturing all of our moments, while also be very discrete. We hardly noticed they were there, but they captured everything! After the wedding, it was only a few days before we got a sneak peak of some of our pictures. Susannah also put together an amazing blog to tell the story of our wedding day. We're so happy to have all of these wonderful photos and that Susannah and Greg were so easy to work with for our special day!

Your wedding day can be very stressful and Susannah does a good job of keeping it light-hearted and fun and makes sure that the photo shoot runs smoothly. Her work is beautiful and really captures the mood and scenery on the big day. I wanted pictures at the edge of the bluff and Susannah was even willing to help me jump a fence to get the shots. I highly recommend her, especially if you want photographer that is willing to give you more than the typical overdone wedding photos. I, and both of our families thrilled with our wedding photos, but we are so grateful for the PRESENCE of Susannah and her assistant. Our wedding day had some unexpected hiccups and natural disasters. Susannah and her assistant went above and beyond their role with the camera to add a sense of fun, playfulness, and calm to the entire day. She really has a way of putting people at ease. Since then, I have hired Susannah as the official photographer for my business, and she has photographed several more events for me. In addition, she has become a good friend! So it was really a no-brainer when it came to choosing her as our wedding photographer for our June 2015 wedding in Mill Valley. From the get-go she was easy to work with: great communication, willing to answer my (MANY) questions, and worked with us to set up a great game-plan and wedding package, which included engagement and day-of wedding photos. Susannah is a big ball of energy, and yet has a calm nature about her. My husband and I aren't big on getting our photo taken, and often feel awkward in front of the camera -- but she made us feel comfortable, and even made the process enjoyable! Truly a pleasure to work with. As far as our photos go--they were gorgeous, and her turnaround time is very fast. She sends a sneak peak of photos not long after your wedding, which is a lot of fun to look at when you are still on that post-wedding high. Of course, everything she produced was lovely. We were married up in the redwoods and she even scoped out the most beautiful and unique backdrops in advance for our photos. She has a very photojournalist style about her, which is what we absolutely wanted and loved. We really feel like her photos captured the essence of our day--all of the details, the emotions, the scenery. And yet, we barely noticed her in action... a real pro! She is worth every penny, and I would highly recommend Susannah and Greg to any couple looking for a top-notch photographer. We hope to someday work with her again as our newly-formed family grows!

The first thing you will notice when speaking with Susannah is her attention to detail. For our engagement shoots and all our wedding pics, Susannah was the reason our wedding timeline worked out so perfectly. She knows how to capture an appropriate diversity of scenery, the sunlight, the sunset, indoors. and so quickly and perfectly! Susannah was at some point in a perfect situp position on our reception floor to get some awesome shots. And then went up to the roof to get an even crazier view! Just amazing! When planning a wedding from close or afar, it's most important to trust your vendors. Susannah gained our trust quickly. Not only because she has photographed several of my old highschool classmates' weddings, but because she is SO responsive. Every email gets a thoughtful response. We've already seen several sneak peak pictures (she emailed us the DAY AFTER our wedding - SO FAST!) and we are so so happy. The landscape, the detail - it's just so perfectly captured. Indian weddings are full of color and this is represented so well in the photographs. I can't write a review of Susannah without complimenting her incredibly sweet, helpful husband, Greg. The two work together seamlessly. And it's so lovely to see a married couple working so well together on the day you get married - an inspiration at the least =) And their son is really darn cute too! We LOVED working with Susannah. I would recommend her to anyone getting married, including my family. If we ever need formal photographs in the future, she is the one.

nitially since we live in San Diego but let me just say, talking to her for the first time is like talking to an old friend. She is down to earth, full of energy and so charismatic. One of the things I really loved about her was that she was willing to create a customized photo package for us since we had already had our engagement photos done by my sister in law. Susannah kept in touch with us the months going into our wedding and let us know what to expect. She asked to know which family members and friends were important to us as well as a list of photos we wanted to have taken with our family and bridal party. On the day of our wedding, she was perfect. She worked with a 2nd photographer so while Susannah focused on us, he was able to capture the reactions and emotions of everyone else. She was able to tell our story through her photos and we were able to re-live all the details of our special day. It's amazing how much we missed because the day flew by so quickly but Susannah had all of it in her photos, every moment of laughter, tears, love and emotion. She orchestrated beautiful photos with amazing lighting of us and remembered to take photos of our grandparents and friends and everyone who was there to celebrate. Susannah took care of everything the day of the wedding and directed everyone so that our family and bridal party photos were organized quickly and they could enjoy cocktail hour. I would highly recommend her, you would be so lucky to have her capture your special day. She was so fun to work with, she was like family and we can't thank her enough for capturing every moment of our special day so that we could remember every detail.

I stumbled upon Susannah through Pinterest where she had photographed some gorgeous wedding photos of a couple in the same location that I was hoping to have mine taken. After a lovely chat on the phone, I decided she was the one I wanted. Ironically enough, the photo that I found on Pinterest was of her good friend, Kim Guiley, who just so happen to be a makeup artist. She shared her contact info with me and I couldn't be happier that she did because Kim made me look and feel so beautiful on my big day! Susannah served not just as a photographer, but also as my own personal travel agent. Besides all the things she did above and beyond her job, most importantly, she took the most remarkable, breath taking pictures of my special day. We had talked back and forth through email prior to my arrival and she made sure to make me feel comfortable even though we were not going to be able to meet before our wedding. I gave her the reigns to plan our pictures and take us anywhere within Nisnee Marks, as she knew the land and I had not a clue what I was going to experience. She had mentioned that she wanted to take us to a shallow body of water within the forest and I told her that we were in. I'm so glad I did, because they were some of the best shots from the shoot! This being said, every picture that she took was perfection! Her husband Greg (the mule) carried her equipment and my odds and ends all around our trek of the land. This was no easy feat, but he was a true gentleman and good sport. I would recommend Susannah and Greg to anyone, anywhere. She added so much extra happiness to our elopement, I couldn't possibly thank her enough!

e this photographer. I was nervous that Susannah would not be able to photograph our wedding because she had moved to the west coast and we were on the east coast. Fortunately Susannah was going to be in the New York area around the time of my wedding. Susannah was a joy to talk to over the phone. It was a little unsettling to finalize everything via email or phone and not face to face. However Susannah made everything very organized and easy to follow. We did not meet face to face until our engagement photo session but because we had converse so many times prior I felt like I had known her for years. She made us feel so comfortable. Susannah made the engagement session fun and the day of the wedding it never felt like work taking photos with her. The product was even more spectacular! We love every single photo that was shot. Making picking out photos for our album very difficult! I highly recommend this photographer. She knows how to capture the day and her storytelling skills are amazing.
