h step of the way was filled with as little stress as possible. The venue itself is gorgeous and needs very little decorating (which I loved!). Food/drinks are included which was great! This venue is very affordable. The day of our wedding, we had our ceremony in the Riverside Room and the reception in the Main Ballroom. The Riverside Room has a beautiful of the river that you can see through a wall of long windows. We were able to decorate each room how we wanted, which was great. The day of, I had a small hiccup with my dress during the bustling process, and one staff member, Jessica, graciously helped my bridesmaids and mother to help the process move along. Jessica was also an amazing help throughout the whole day, making sure that we had anything/everything we needed. The staff at the Susquehanna Club in general is absolutely amazing. They make sure the bride/groom, guests, bridesmaids, etc. are provided with the best care/compassion possible. I highly recommend the Susquehanna Club as a wedding venue! We are very happy with the services we received!

me but we couldn't hear them at all. The food was excellent and all of my guests complimented it. They don't provide a tasting but you don't even have to worry about that because the food is so good. I felt like I was always emailing Sharen but she always answered all of my questions with no problems. We planned on having our ceremony outside but it decided to storm a half hour before the ceremony and she did a great job of making sure that it was all coordinated and that I didn't have to worry about anything. Overall I had a great experience and would use them again for another party!

and ceremony was PERFECT. The club provided a beautiful room for the bride and her attendants to change in and relax before the ceremony. The room had a window seat overlooking the river. In addition to the bride, there were six in the brides party along with the mother of the bride and groom. The room was spacious and not cramped. The guests raved about the food, bar, and Club. We had the ceremony adjacent the ballroom, in a setting overlooking the Susquehanna River. After the ceremony, the guests started the cocktail hour while pictures were taken at the ceremony location. A mini reception area was provided for the wedding party, complete with drinks and food until entrance into the main ballroom. The staff even took drink orders for the wedding party during this time and were extremely attentive! Many times we heard that this was the best wedding food they ever tasted. The dinner service was spot on and the service was impeccable. There was an actual bar serving drinks and many hung out at the bar through the evening. The bar staff kept up with the guests requests. Everyone was very professional. We can't say enough good things about Sharen and the staff at the the club. We were able to get into the club the day before to set up. The staff was available for last minute questions and support. Sharen also recommended the wedding officiator, Pastor Dave Diraddo, who provided what many said was the best service they ever attended. As the parents of the bride, we couldn't be happier with choosing the Susquehanna Club for our daughters ceremony and reception site. Thanks to Sharen and her staff for making our wedding experience enjoyable and memorable.

Sharen is absolutely amazing to work with and was so accommodating as things did change for us (it seemed by the second as we got closer to our wedding day). This was particularly helpful since we live in FL and were planning a wedding in Harrisburg. She walked through every detail with us from the food, to the table settings, napkin & chair cover colors, etc...she was just great. The staff also turned on all our electric candles for our centerpieces so I didn't have to worry about that at all. Also, she allowed us to come in on Friday to set up which was soooooooooo helpful. I don't know how we would've had time on Saturday morning. The food is absolutely amazing...we got so many compliments! We did a buffet and were glad we did. The servers were nice enough to serve the bridal party which was really great...and while my husband and I actually did get to eat, they made us some to-go meals to go home with us anyway! And the hour of unlimited hors d'oeuvres was fabulous...and the room for the bridal party during the cocktail hour is so nice! We also had an open bar and that was well worth the few extra dollars per person---would highly recommend it if you're considering an alcohol package. Our server (the one who took care of my husband and I) always made sure we had drinks and was there whenever we needed her. Again, I can't say enough great things about the Susquehanna Club. Our reception was perfect in every way!

it's league, but the facilities are roomy and really pretty (pictures do not do it justice). The view of the river makes it special. You can decorate the way you want, or keep it simple. The open bar was awesome, our guests loved it. The food was hot and delicious, the prime rib was exceptional. And the dance floors have plenty of space for lots of dancing, lots of fun. Last but certainly not least, the staff was professional and an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end, making sure that everything was relaxed and went smoothly up to and including the wedding day. On a little side note, we ended the day with a sparkler send-off under the veranda (which was awesome). Everyone had a blast. But Susquehanna Club even made sure there was a water bucket handy for us. It's a simple thing, one of many, but they really do take great care to meet your wishes for a perfect wedding day.

I came across the Susquehanna Club after all other venues seemed overpriced and under giving, and here you get so much for so little! The guests all kept raving about the food, from the bacon wrapped scallops to the steamship beef, everything was so nice! We can't stop talking about our amazing experience here and we can't thank the Susquehanna Club enough!

She was very flexible and allowed us to do whatever we wanted with decorations and layout. The rooms were gorgeous, especially the reception hall with the huge stone fireplace and wooden beams on the dance floor, and the bar with the ornate metal ceiling. Everything was very clean and the staff was helpful the day of as we got everything ready. There was plenty of room for my wedding party to get ready in the morning in the room downstairs, which is full of beautiful, antique furniture. This room was great for photos. The whole club was perfect for photos, actually. And since we had a winter wedding, we had several photos taken outside overlooking the icy river. We loved the food. SO good. And when we had a few no shows, they boxed up their food and let us take it home so it wouldn't go to waste. I can't rave enough about the Susquehanna Club. They really exceeded our expectations. This was the most affordable venue I could find that offered everything we were looking for (and more!).

From the first time we met her, we knew she would be great to work with and during 10 months of planning, she NEVER let us down! She was always ready and willing to answer questions, respond to emails and take phone calls. We held cocktail hour downstairs in the New Cumberland Room and had a buffet dinner upstairs in the Riverside Room. One of the main reasons (besides Sharen) that we chose the Susquehanna Club was that their packages are all-inclusive. Not once did we have to worry about our guests getting enough food or drink. During the cocktail hour, hors d'oeuvers were always replenished and the drinks were flowing! Upon our arrival to the venue, a very helpful server introduced herself and got right to work getting drinks for the wedding party and ensuring that we had plenty of appetizers in our private sitting room. She took great care of us until our introduction into the Riverside Room. Once upstairs, we continued to be waited on very diligently. The same server even coordinated things so that my 89 year old grandmother and another guest that was not able to go though the buffet, had their meals served to them at their seats. There were also 2 guests with food allergies and Sharen coordinated things so that their special meals could be served to them as well. It meant so much that these kind acts were offered without us even having to request them. The food was delicious! We got the most comments on the potstickers and stuffed chicken breast...everyone LOVED them!!!! And my husband ate an entire extra plate of the mashed potatoes...they're the best we've ever had!!! They offer a great variety of wines, draft beer and mixed drinks. We were even able to select 2 types of bottled beer for our guests to enjoy. Thanks to the all-inclusive package, we never had to be asked if we wanted them to open another bottle of wine or liquor. It was unlimited during the hours of our reception. Although there was another reception in the ballroom next to ours, we didn't even notice! Things flowed smoothly and uneventfully. The only reminder was an unfamiliar face in the ladies room. The service was so impeccable, it seemed as though we were the only reception there that night. The club does not charge a cake cutting fee or charge extra for decorating. My dad was able to drop off decorations and other reception items the day before with instructions I provided and it was all wonderfully arranged for us. Not a detail was missed or overlooked! It was so wonderful to spend the day prior to the wedding relaxing and packing for the honeymoon and not worrying if all the place cards or favors were taken care of. We also had a baker and florist who needed access to the club for deliveries and there were no issues with that. Despite all that needed to be coordinated, there was never a glitch! The Susquehanna Club truly provides an elegant atmosphere to hold your special event. And an added bonus: reasonable prices! You will not find another venue in Central PA that is as nice and affordable as they are. Thanks to Sharen and her team, everything was just as we'd hoped it would be on one of the most special days if our lives!

The photos online don’t do the place justice—definitely make a trip to see it and you will probably fall in love with it like we did. The Susquehanna Club’s staff is very friendly and accommodating. We chose the buffet option, and our server assured us not to worry about not getting enough food and time to eat—they packaged us each a meal to take home at the end of the night, complete with utensils, a mini bottle of champagne and plastic champagne glasses! We were a little nervous about the fact that there was no tastings available before choosing your menu—trust me, do NOT worry about this—the food is fantastic!! We got lots of compliments about it! There are many options/levels to choose from, so you can be as basic or as elaborate as you want. And for everything that is included, the price cannot be beat! We were able to do a cocktail hour, champagne toast, buffet dinner AND 5 hours or wine and beer for the price that most places charge for just their basic dinner. And we got compliments on the wine and beer selection—many guests said that they had never seen so many options at a wedding before! And it was all INCLUDED in our package price! Definitely check out the Susquehanna Club and talk to Sharen—we promise you won’t regret it!

Truly we could not have made a better choice, all of our guests commented on how impressed they were with the food and the decorations. (a good DJ also helps) When you consider the costs of photographers, the DJ, and everything else involved with preparing and throughing a great wedding the Susquehanna Club was by far the easiest and best choice we made. Besides getting married of course. Do yourself a favor and consider this Venue!

t overlooks the Susquehanna River which was the backdrop for our ceremony. It was absolutely beautiful! The venue was very clean and they provided excellent catering. They were very friendly and welcoming and were willing to accommodate our needs and helped to finalize details. There was a prep room downstairs for us for before the ceremony, and they set everything up for the reception for us. We couldn't have been more pleased with our decision to have our wedding at the Susquehanna Club!

I made for my Wedding. We got married outside at the Fountain at the State Capitol and held our Reception here. I was fabulous, they were so accomodating and helpful. My guests loved the food ( I didn't get to eat much) the bar was great. It made for a spectacuar day. I truly cannot say enough. Sharen let me decorate anyway I wanted, recommended great vendors to use. This was more than I could have hoped for. My guests still talk about the food and the beaufitful ballroom. If you want a stress free reception site and awesome food then this is the place for you. Love the Susquehanna Club.

e wedding. We selected the Susquehanna Club (Main Ballroom) after my uncle had his wedding reception there several years ago, and I remembered what a nice time we had. Sharen was patient, friendly, and helpful during the entire process. We don't feel as if we were particularly picky, but we appreciated her flexibility with everything from our menu selections to moving tables around at the last minute (thanks to her equally attentive staff). Cost is always important. We found the price to be a good value, and was actually lower than any comparable place we'd checked out. I'm not sure how they do it! We had a full open bar, hot and cold appetizers, and buffet-style dinner, and I believe it came to around $55 per person. The food was excellent. Honestly, the evening was such a blur that I don't even remember exactly what we had, but everything tasted great, was fresh, and served at the right temperature. All in all, we had a great experience leading up to a wonderful evening. Sharen's service and that of her staff is outstanding. We recommend the Susquehanna Club for any reception; big or small!

The food was delicious and hot, and the waitstaff extremely professional and efficient. I've never seen tables sent through a buffet so quickly at a wedding! Guests were extremely happy. In fact, I am still getting phone calls from guests to let me know how great of a time they had. I highly recommend the Susquehanna Club if you're looking to host a wedding in the Harrisburg area.

ink that words can express how happy we were with EVERYTHING that was offered to us. From the moment I walked into the room, I knew that I wanted my wedding reception to be there. Once we spoke to Sharen, the wedding reception coordinator, I just knew that she would be wonderful to work with. Sharen took care of my every SINGLE need. I am not kidding!! We had a buffet dinner, so we had a lot of options. I am a picky eater, and although I LOVED our entire menu, I did not want it all on one plate. So Sharen had her staff make me a plate of what I wanted, and a "side plate" of another entree so that way my food "didn't touch." It was the little touches and little things that Sharen did for us, that made us so happy we chose to go with the Susquehanna Club. If you want GREAT food for your money, want all of your guests enjoying themselves, and want someone who will help you every step of the process, yet let you be as creative as you want....then this is your reception hall!!!!
