Suzanne and her team were amazing!! Suzanne made me feel so beautiful and glammed for my wedding but still made me look and feel like myself! She is so so talented!! Christopher was so awesome too, he took so much time and attention to detail on my hair and made it look so AMAZING! They all had such an amazing energy, keeping us all feeling great the entire morning while we were getting ready. They were so much fun and so kind! I had Suzanne as the makeup artist for my wedding with Christopher Bullock as her assistant. While there were positives to working with them, there were some frustrations worth noting. Suzanne and Christopher were not on the same page regarding pricing. Christopher mentioned higher prices for hair, so I had to relay to him a couple of times how Suzanne said hair would cost the same as makeup. A bridesmaid dropped out about a week before the wedding, meaning I would be short a makeup service. Suzanne expressed some sympathy and then a quick reminder that changes to the services could not be made. I understand a contract is a contract, but it came across as a bit harsh and inflexible as the drop-out was out of our control, and plenty of services were already scheduled. Regarding my hair, I felt the bun portion from the hair trial was too low and not close enough to the head, so I showed Christopher a photo on the wedding day of what I was looking for. He mentioned the twists or braids were different in the photo than what was done for the trial, but I wasn’t talking about twists or braids. After my hair was done, he said how the braids were different than the trial and seemed annoyed. This was frustrating since he had acknowledged what I wanted from the photo, and he could have updated the bun without changing other parts of the hair. He could have communicated better to make sure he was clear on the requests. He and I thought having the front pieces of my hair shorter would look better for the wedding, so I had them cut. It’s disappointing to see one front piece laying heavily in my face in some photos along with a stray piece of hair that looks out of place. A bridesmaid had to touch-up the hair before the wedding started, and a longer piece later fell out of the bun. I commented that my hair looked somewhat messy while Suzanne and Christopher were still there, and he said as what came across as annoyed that it would only get messier the more it was fixed. He also seemed annoyed when he noted he had already done my final touch-up. I didn’t realize he considered the final touch-up as when he went to fix my hair while I was getting my lipstick done, which is why I thought I still needed one when he called for last call touch-ups. I was so disappointed with my hair after Suzanne and Christopher left, I considered taking it down. They left well before they were scheduled to leave since they finished early. I understand they didn’t need to stay after all makeup and hair were done, but there was no need to rush to leave when they had already accounted for more time. It seemed like Christopher was agitated and they were ready to leave. Suzanne mentioned how it’s most important for the client to be happy, and they had plenty of extra time to make sure I was content with the service provided. I appreciated that Suzanne asked the next day how well my makeup lasted. She later posted on Instagram that it was an “insane wedding” which was disappointing since it did not come across as positive. I think they are both talented and chose Suzanne since she does good work, but the bottom line is that this was my wedding, which she herself said was my most important day. A lot of money was paid for these services, and I should have felt happier overall, especially with my hair.
