She captures light unlike any other photographer in Maine that I found, and especially in the Portland Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception - it can be hard to get the lighting just right to communicate the space well. Well clearly SHE DID - I am in love with the photos, the gifs, and the fact that her husband (and second shooter) helped put the boutonnieres on the groomsmen! Everything is clearly communicated along every step, she has an amazing online portal where all payments and contracts, and eventually photos are stored for viewing. Susie and wanted to let others know how awesome she was.. We were so impressed with how easy she was to work with, the quality of the photos, and her professionalism. Susie put a lot of care into planning which shots we wanted, identifying all of the friends and family we wanted shots with, and the location and timing of it all. All of the planning we did ahead of time really paid off when things got a little hectic and behind schedule as all it meant was making a few adjustments. I will also mention we did "wedding day yoga" with our bridal party, and they turned out to be some of our favorite shots. Susie definitely has good eye for capturing little moments - in new environments she's never shot before, no less (like yoga studios!). THANK YOU SUSIE!!! We cherish the photos you took.

hectic it can be, the last thing you want to try to do is remember which pictures are important to you. I could not be happier with the quality of work from Suzanne. Not only did she take absolutely beautiful pictures, she commanded the day with grace and ease. She was laid back and fun when need be, and also assertive when crowd control was needed. Before the wedding, she worked with me to determine the most important pictures to make sure to take, and throughout the day she checked them one by one off her list. She also keeps an arsenal of emergency wedding day supplies – she trimmed loose threads from my bridal party’s dresses, made sure to have band aids for blisters, she knew how to bustle my dress and did it quickly, and when my husband stepped on my dress ripping the back, she sprinted over and fixed it up in no time! In addition to her professionalism the day of, I also contacted her a little over a year in advance, and throughout that year I would have a random question here and then. She always got back to me quickly with an answer, and was very willing to accommodate when needed. I really cannot stress enough how wonderful Suzanne was. One final plus side to Suzanne was the time she was willing to spend on the wedding day. When you dig down, many others offer packages starting at 6 hours or less. I would not recommend this! Some of my absolute favorite pictures span from the first hour to the last, and I was so happy to have her the whole day.

rapher. There were so many, I couldn't make a decision. Had I known then what I know now after working with Susie, it would have been a no brainer. The entire day of my wedding I was blown away by her talent, her organization, discreteness, and efficiency. We had a church ceremony and I initially was so worried about having a photographer who would be snapping photos obnoxiously in the middle of the aisle during mass. Susie worked the room so quietly and multiple people commented on the fact that they hardly noticed her- yet, I still have the best and most detailed photos of the ceremony. Before the wedding, Susie sent out a wedding worksheet that I filled out with lots of different info, including all the formal portraits I wanted. I'm so glad she did this because I was able to thoughtfully choose all the portraits I wanted and avoid forgetting anything like I probably would have had I been deciding this the day of the wedding. She met with me at a coffee shop to go over last minute wedding details and helped me choose the location for our formal portraits. She recommended Fort Williams, knowing I wanted to capture the fall foliage as well as the ocean. She knew the park like the back of her hand. Before I knew it, she had the map of the park uploaded on her iPad and was pointing out all the different options based on the direction of the sun that time of day. She helped me decide on 3 spots in the park and timed out how we could get this all done between the end of the ceremony and start of the reception. Not only does she take gorgeous photographs, but she is practically like a wedding planner. I was out on the dance floor when the bustle of my dress came out. Before I knew it, she was kneeling on the ground with pliers from her fanny pack fixing the bustle of my dress! My husband had ten loud and rowdy groomsmen- somehow Susie managed to keep them all in line while still getting all the pictures we had talked about plus many more. At the end of the night, she even lugged all her camera gear around the cobblestones of the old port to get some beautiful pictures of my husband and I before the end of the night. Talk about being prompt- Susie had a sneak peak available the day after our wedding and a blog up the week after our wedding so we were already seeing some wedding photos while on our honeymoon. We were married October 14th and I already have the USB drive with all our photos-now, that is timeliness! AND...speaking of our pictures!!! I am in LOVE. They are so beautiful, I couldn't have been any happier. I would give Susie more than 5 stars if I could. I don't think I will ever get tired of looking at our wedding photos. . They are amazing!!!! From the first time I met Susie she made me feel so comfortable like I was talking with a friend. I was nervous for our photos because my husband is not big on getting his picture taken but she had him laughing and chatting the whole time. I could not imagine having had anyone else photograph our special day. Our pictures came out beautiful, when we saw them we couldn't believe it was us! The day of the wedding she had this awesome fanny pack filled with all the little things you don't even think of extra bobby pins, tissues, etc. You can tell she loves what she does. We are expecting our first child in February and you can bet I know who I'm calling for maternity pictures! I truly can not say enough good things about Susie, she's simply the best!

Our family and friends commented on how sneaky she was during the ceremony, they never saw her wandering through the small barn to get the amazing photos she did. We received our pictures so fast, we were still on our honeymoon! It was so fun to look through the photos and remember all of the little details about our day, and to see how much fun everyone had dancing the night away. I was nervous being a freelance photographer myself , that I wouldn't be able to meet my wedding photographer before the big day but, once she arrived on site, I knew I had made the right decision. Every little snag that came up Susie was on it! We even took a ride with her before the ceremony to Acadia National Park to get some scenic shots, spending that extra time with her as a couple was so much fun! er, I knew I wanted to hire her. She is friendly, helpful, and comes prepared for literally anything. When we hired Susie, we chose to also hire Alan, her husband and assistant. Together, these two make a fantastic team. My husband said that aside from taking fun getting ready shots of the guys, Alan was also super helpful. For example, he helped them pin their flowers when they were struggling to get them all on. As the ladies were getting ready, Susie took beautiful photos of my bridesmaids and our accessories. At one point when my dress was sticking out a tad at the shoulder, Susie had whipped out double-sided tape before I could blink. At the reception, when I could not find my sister, she had my dress bustled in under five minutes. Their experience with weddings really shines through as they work. I felt like they were reading my mind! Our pictures are breathtaking. I do not think they missed one moment. I also appreciate the unobtrusive way they get all the best shots. I have so many fun candid photos I did not even realize they were taking. Furthermore, Susie is prompt and gets your photos back to you as soon as she can. We could not believe when ours were ready! Another fun thing Susie does is post sneak peaks on social media. I loved ours! I also need to mention that we did our engagement shoot with Susie and that was also an incredible experience. We have two large and sometimes (okay all the time) excitable dogs and she was so helpful with them :) I am SO happy we hired Susie and Alan to capture our wedding. From the start until even now, I always felt like my questions were answered. It is like working with a friend; she is so personable! e, so I really didn't want to make a mistake on this one. Looking back, I can say with 100% honesty that I made the right choice. Suzie is professional, warm, talented and an all-around amazing person and photographer. She takes beautiful photos, offers excellent value, turns things around super quickly and is a great resource on your wedding day. She is calm, reassuring, and even comes with supplies! She actually stepped in and helped my sisters pin my dress so the undergarments didn't show. Suzie achieved just the right mix of blending in with all my crazy friends and family while still being able to gently direct people so she got all the important shots. The finished photo files came promptly and beautifully packaged. It was like getting a surprise gift in the mail! It has been a few months and I still look at the photos all the time. I'm just thrilled with how everything turned out and I could not be happier with my choice.

my dress, Susie was there to help me flick them all off, when we were eating and our son was looking for strawberries (which were all gone), there was Susie with a plateful just because she'd noticed he liked them. The wedding was all self-organized and I had no idea how certain things should flow... I'd voice a question, and there was Susie with answers. Little things like that just show her attentiveness and attention to detail. At the same time, she was able to blend into the background and everyone felt at ease and natural with her there. We've now quickly gotten online access to all of our photos and are going through the hard task of selecting a few for prints. I want them all! Oh, and did I mention that she's just a really sweet human being too?

We first met over a cup of coffee, and I instantly knew she was the photographer for us. She is so down to earth, friendly, with a great personality and easy to talk to. Its not often you find someone who genuwinely loves what they do, and gives their entire self to thier work. Suzanne also teaches photography at a local school, she has the most up to date equipment - and she literally can be everywhere on your wedding day. Our wedding was a beautiful day - and Suzanne was there by my side through it all. Whenever I look at my photos, I have such a big grin on my face, that is if im not crying. She truely captured so many moments for us and for that I will be forever greatful! Dont hesitate using her for your big day, I wouldnt recommend anyone else because she goes above and beyond for you. Not to even mention the quick turn around. She does a lot of weddings, and still we got our sneak peak of 80 photos in a week! and all of our photos, edited, over 1150 of them in under a month.
