FROM SVETLANA FROLOVA THE ARTIST BEHIND THE CAMERA:
I pour my heart and soul into every photographic opportunity that I am entrusted with and I have learned that heart always, always comes through in the visuals.
Photography is all about the manipulation of light so it seems only natural that I became a photographer as my name, Svetlana, in Russian means “light”. It’s true that I am drawn to light, and that includes the light within people.
They say part of my gift is my intuitiveness and my open-mindedness, but I say that I just want everyone to feel important. I want you to know that you are truly heard and seen in all your authenticity, and I want you to know that you are a work of art.
When we work together, I promise to always go above and beyond for you. because no matter how many hundreds of weddings I’m honored to shoot you’re never just a number to me.

ion of how she pours her heart and soul into everything she does. From our initial phone inquiry chat to our first time meeting her at our engagement shoot, I knew that was not just something nice to include on a website but that she in fact truly truly means that. Our entire experience with Svetlana from beginning to end was truly one in which she dedicated herself entirely to making sure all our needs were met and we got amazing photos. It really felt like she was on our team, with no ego, and invested in the whole process. Even some of our wedding guests told me how impressed they were with her. She strikes a perfect balance of taking your input while bringing her own creativity and expertise to ensure you get the best shots - she gives enough helpful cues but does not overdirect. Not only that, she's just a genuinely warm-hearted good person and we feel so lucky to know her. We wish we could give her even more stars!

She made us feel calm in front of the camera and was just a genuinely lovely person to have with us on our wedding day.

My husband and I have been so thrilled with the photos we get to look back on. It was the best wedding investment we made!

ad an indoor church wedding followed by an indoor reception, so we wanted a photographer who was experienced with indoor photography (as well as outdoor photography!). Svetlana shot our engagement photos and our wedding, and we loved every minute of working with her. My husband and I (2 engineers) are not natural models, but Svetlana arrived with such enthusiasm and knew exactly how to pose us (and make it look natural!). She was also able to keep up with the chaos of the wedding day, capturing everything from my bridals to us dancing the night away. When the bridal party arrived 30 minutes late and I was feeling quite anxious, Svetlana knew exactly what pictures she wanted to take and what pictures were on our shot list and got to shooting away. Her positivity and professionalism saved the day! The quality and creativity of Svetlana's work is invaluable. We'll definitely use Svetlana for all of our future photography needs and highly recommend her :)

ce thing that really stood out to me while researching were the vibrant colors and great angles in all of her photos. We used Svetlana for our engagement photos, wedding photos, and my boudoir photos. Svetlana was an absolute joy to work with. Her great personality was just icing on the cake. We couldn't have been more impressed. Unless you're a pro, posing for photos can feel awkward. We put all of our trust in Svetlana, right down to location suggestions. She truly captured the moment and made us look like we knew what we were doing, lol. I can't speak more highly of Svetlana. My husband and I both agree that choosing Svetlana was hands down the best wedding decision we made.

as able to keep such a large party organized. The bridal portraits and engagement pictures she took during the weeks before looked absolutely stunning. We couldn't have chosen a better photographer to work on our wedding day/night. We were always worried about not knowing how to pose, being awkward in pictures, not getting the best shots, etc. Svetlana put all of that to rest instantly as she told us exactly what to do and made us feel comfortable the entire time. Thanks so much for putting up with us! Thanks for creating so many wonderful memories! Thanks for being perfect!
Regards,
Brittany and Dmitriy Schwarz.

ue professional. Since it rained on our wedding day, I was worried about photos, but not only did Svetlana stand out in the rain with us, she made us look amazing! My friends and family are raving about them as well, since she managed to capture not just artful and romantic shots of us, but also both solemn and joyful photos of our friends and family that really capture the day. Leading up to our wedding she was very responsive to my questions and helped us with our timeline. We were also impressed to get all our photos only two weeks after the wedding! My only regret is not having done engagement photos with her, because we would have had even more amazing photos! We would absolutely recommend Svetlana to anyone!

os were captured by her. The first time I met her in person was the day of the wedding and I needed help getting dressed. Svetlana actually helped me get into my corset bra, shoes, and wedding dress the day of the wedding because everyone else was behind on their hair & makeup. I felt embarrassed having to ask her, but she immediately made me feel so comfortable. She is one of the kindest people I’ve met and you can tell she is extremely dedicated to her work. She was incredibly professional and told us exactly what to do – where to stand, what to do with our hands, etc. which eased our minds. All of our family members and guests loved her! We received our photos after the wedding very quickly (2-3 weeks) which included the bridal portraits I had taken the day of the wedding, as well. My goodness, I can’t even look at our wedding photos without crying! Svetlana was able to capture all of the most important moments while somehow still managing to find the time to capture those precious candid moments, as well. She has the incredible ability of capturing raw emotion in every photograph so it takes me back to the day of the wedding every time I look at the photos. Thank you so much Svetlana for taking such remarkable photos at our wedding. We will truly cherish them forever! I would definitely recommend booking Svetlana for your photography needs. We will definitely be contacting her for future sessions when it’s our anniversary!

rgeous – but you can see all of that for yourself in her portfolio. While working with her, she was responsive to our own ideas but often had brilliant ideas that paid off fabulously on film. Aside from her obvious talent, choosing Svetlana was one of the best decisions we made because of who she is as a person. Where other vendors were hit or miss over the long months of wedding planning and through the event itself, Svetlana was always responsive, thoughtful, professional, and an all around lovely lady. For (an extreme) example: the day of my wedding began with tornado sirens and historic flooding but Svetlana arrived calm and confident which gave me such a sense of relief I almost started to cry. We had a great time shooting throughout the day and got a ton of compliments on her work and her knack for always being in the right place at the right time on the day of the wedding. We cannot recommend her enough.

nd I loved how she was able to capture the natural beauty of the Hill Country, I felt like so many of her pictures could be featured on a magazine cover. We were so pleased after our first meeting with her; she is professional, outgoing and funny, and made us feel completely at ease about the whole process. She was so flexible and responsive when planning our engagement shoot, as we live in Houston and planned the engagement pictures in Austin. Her years of experience showed as she listened to our vision and picked the perfect locations and backdrops for our pictures. On our wedding day, she was a one woman show! She captured the day flawlessly and our pictures were gorgeous! She took time to capture the details of our wedding as well as the intimate moments we shared with each other, family, and friends. We look forward to reliving our wedding day through her photos for many years to come and HIGHLY recommend her for any photography needs!
