Shelby did an amazing job for my trial and wedding day. Her team also helped make all of my bridal party, mother, and mother-in-law look stunning. The hair and makeup lasted through the night, even with dancing and humidity! Shelby was very professional, organized, informative, and calm throughout the whole process. I cannot recommend her and her work enough!

Shelby is an exceptional stylist! She did my hair and makeup for my rehearsal dinner, and I truly couldn’t have been happier. I was honestly so disappointed she wasn’t available for my wedding day—she did such an amazing job. She’s incredibly talented, really took the time to listen to what I wanted, and worked closely with my inspiration photos to bring my vision to life. Shelby is the best! Stop shopping for vendors and just hire her already. I had Shelby and her team for my December 2024 wedding in Newport. They did 15+ girls and were very flexible when I accidentally messed up the schedule (whoops!). EVERYONE looked beautiful and the hair and makeup lasted 12+ hours to the end of the after-party! Most importantly she made me, the bride, look like a princess. I had the best hair and makeup day of my life and felt amazing on my wedding day. Cannot say enough good things - thank you Shelby!

They were flexible when we were off on our timing, kept us relaxed and laughing throughout the day, and took such great care to make sure we all looked and felt our best on such a special day. My hair and makeup looked amazing, so classic and sophisticated, and true to the trial I had done with Shelby prior to my wedding. So thrilled!

Bridal hair and makeup with Shelby was one of the best decisions I could've made. Shelby was attentive to my request for a more natural makeup look and I never felt more beautiful. Shelby and her team stayed ahead of schedule on the wedding day & all my bridesmaids hair/makeup was complete with leftover time for photos. Shelby even waited an extra 30 minutes or so for my 'getting ready' photos to be finished before helping me place my veil. SW Beauty was super easy going and 100% okay with my dog asking for pets the entire morning. Highly recommend this adaptable, communicative, and professional team of hair and makeup artists.

Shelby was amazing on our wedding day. I'm usually nervous about having my make up done because I typically don't wear any. Shelby did a perfect job of giving me just enough glamour and shimmer without being too overpowering. It also can be hard to find a makeup artist who can execute makeup well on people with asian features - our eyes can look too droopy or the foundation doesn't match our complexion. I didn't have any of these problems with Shelby! I chose glamour waves for my hair which requires a lot of technique and Shelby highly exceeded my expectations. Even though I got married in the rain, my makeup stayed perfect. Shelby is so easy to talk to and definitely helped calm my nerves the morning of. Shelby and her makeup artist were also great with my mom and mother in law. Highly recommend Shelby for your wedding!

It was such a joy working with Shelby. I found her on instagram in a tagged post and booked a trial right away. I never had my makeup professionally done before, so the trail was a great experience and I felt so beautiful after. Closer to my wedding date, I decided to do another hair trial because I finally had my dress and felt I should go in a different direction with my hair style. Both trials were great. Shelby was very attentive to any changes or slight adjustments that I requested. On the big day, I felt so beautiful. Shelby has the ability to make a bride feel calm and also secure in their hair/makeup choices on a day where stress is inevitably very high. There was also a COVID issue with another wedding where Shelby had to help another bride because her artist tested positive. Shelby handled the situation incredibly professionally and still made me feel like her main attention for that day. I think it shows how well she can handle a stressful situation while also providing support to other hair/makeup artists if they are in need. The team that Shelby brought with her were also amazing. My bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law all looked flawless. It was a great experience and I'm so glad I found her!

Shelby was my hair and make up stylist for my wedding in 2017. She is very dedicated to her trade and her brides. seriously, she was leaving for vacation the day of my wedding and still showed up for me! Not only did she show up, but she did not rush and made me feel the most beautiful I have ever felt. I have kept her as my stylist for coloring and cuts since then and honestly will never leave! Also worth mentioning…. I had 3 hair and make up trials before finding her on Instagram. when I first met her she was so welcoming and made the whole experience comfortable. She’s an expert at what she does - book her, you won’t be disappointed!

When I got engaged, I knew I wanted Shelby to glam me for my wedding day! I have known Shelby for years and was very familiar with her beautiful work. She is very intuitive and always listens to how you want to look and feel. For my wedding day, I wanted to feel like me, and that was extremely important. I don’t wear makeup usually and I am a very much a homebody. Shelby was very receptive to this and completely understood what I was looking for. Ultimately, I could not have been happier with how I looked on the big day! In addition, Shelby, and her team, did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and family members and everyone’s looks turned out beautifully. We were all so impressed and happy with the results. Shelby is amazing! I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. My hair and makeup was flawless all day, even after a night of heavy dancing! Shelby and her team were great with every member of my bridal party, they all looked stunning, including my 85 year old nana! Shelby was even able to help out my husband who was self conscious about his rosacea. Every step of the process was smooth and I can't thank Shelby and her team enough.

Shelby, without you I couldn’t have been my most glam self on our most special day. We had a daytime wedding and even though Shelby is located out of state she made sure myself, my mother, and mother-in-law were ready right on schedule. I’m so fortunate to have gotten to work with Shelby for our prohibition-themed engagement party, garden-centric bridal shower, and industrial loft wedding. Whether it was ‘40s inspired retro waves with a red lip or a soft glam half-updo, Shelby nailed the aesthetic. We all felt like the best version of ourselves and my fiancé cried when he saw me walk down the aisle.

Updos, old Hollywood waves, beach waves, braids, dramatic make up, natural makeup, anything! She is so talented and I absolutely felt beautiful on my wedding. I went for a natural glow and light eye make up and a low and loose up do! Not only was I thrilled with my hair and make up, but my bridal party were so pleased with theirs too! Shelby is amazing! I can't thank Shelby enough. With Covid and travel bans we changed our wedding to a sunrise elopement...yes sunrise! Shelby was more than happy to help out. Please note it was not easy trying to find someone to do my hair and makeup and have me ready for 5am! Shelby arrived at 2.30am, did my hair and makeup, chatted with my parents who tuned in on video chat and helped get me into my dress. Now, anyone can do hair and makeup, but we had an outside ceremony, I got sprinkled on during the ceremony and then it thunder stormed for the photoshoot. My makeup did not budge! I topped up some powder throughout the day but the rest was perfect. I took my makeup off at midnight so my makeup was on for over 21 hours! She is the sweetest and most professional HMUA I've worked with. Thank you so much Shelby for making my (our) day even better!

Shelby and her team did such amazing work for my wedding day. My cousin previously used her and everyone looked gorgeous so I was not messing around when it came my time to hire beauty vendors. I knew I would be happy with her work but i did a trial anyways and she tried two styles on me. I loved them both, it was so hard to choose! My hair came out amazing and my veil didn’t budge at all. I’m also still dreaming about a fishtail braid she did on one of my bridesmaids! I also had 5 flower girls and they all wanted flower crowns and buns and they came out perfect and adorable and even lasted all night! I couldn’t have been happier with her services and she made myself, the moms, the bridesmaids and the flower girls feel beautiful! I will be looking for an excuse to use Shelby in the future!!

Where do I begin?! Shelby has been doing my hair for over 10 years so when it came to my wedding day there was no question on who would be the one to do my hair and make-up! So obviously she was the first vendor I booked. She has this amazing ability to take a vision or a pin on Pinterest and turn it into an ever better version in reality.. I could not have been happier with my hair and make-up for my wedding day. Not only does she do amazing work but she also has the overwhelming calming demeanor and the most positive attitude.. she is so easy to talk with while maintaining such professionalism. I could not have imagined the morning of my wedding with anyone else. She is accommodating beyond measure, and extremely reliable.. we planned my wedding last minute and she was able fit me in for a color, a trial and the big day. She’s absolutely amazing, don’t hesitate for one second- BOOK, BOOK, BOOK !!!

SW beauty was amazing! I had 7 bridesmaids, 2 Jr. bridesmaids, 2 flower girls my mom and mother-in-law all getting their hair and make up done. They were so professional and worked efficiently with beautiful hair styles and wonderful make up application that lasted the whole day into the night! They did touch ups at the end before we left to the ceremony! I highly recommend!!

Went above and beyond to squeeze me in very early in the morning on location when she was already fully booked for the day. Very reasonable priced. Excellent work. She made it easy for me to provide minimal instruction and get the outcome I was looking for. Highly recommend. My look lasted all day and night without feeling heavy. She was also fun to chat with during our session!

Shelby is an angel. She's a bridal anxiety whisperer. I knew I was going to love working with her day of my wedding because she did my hair and make up for my friend's wedding- I'm pretty sure I had her booked for my day before she finished my curls! Her salon is clean and intimate. She was flexible on times to get in for trials. She both responded to emails quickly and sent emails shortly after trials to check in on me and see how the hair and makeup held up or if I still liked it after being home. She even responded to small critiques eloquently and with grace and had me come in for a second trial so we could make sure I was going to be completely happy for my day- talking completely different hair. She was so happy to do it and help, agreed that the change seemed more my style, and knocked it out of the park! Day of- I was a mess. So anxiety ridden and completely not myself. She knew it and was able to get me to calm down by reassuring me that the day was not a big deal- it was a day all about us and love and all of that but super bonus I was getting to be glammed so just enjoy it! We laughed a lot and yet maintained complete professionalism. As my photographers showed up I realized I didn't buy a mirror for the venue where I would be getting dressed and she insisted that I take hers!! Shes' unreal. Honestly, yes, I looked incredible- she was able to hide some wild stress blotches and make me feel unbelievably beautiful (and comfortable and calm), but I also felt like I left the experience with a friend. I can't imagine the experience with anyone else. Book with Shelby. I love her so much!
