Swallow Creek Ranch is the only active cattle ranch on the Central Coast with ocean views that hosts barn weddings in Cayucos, CA. We provide the blank canvas for the wedding weekend of your dreams and allow you to create your dream wedding vision! Enjoy a relaxed weekend affair with venue access from Friday until Sunday! At Swallow Creek Ranch, we offer various wedding packages to accommodate different-sized events and budgets. Our "Deluxe Wedding Package" costs $12,000 and is available for weddings of up to 250 guests between May - October. Our "Intimate Wedding Package" costs $9000 is available on a limited basis for up to 75 guests between June - August only. A $500 refundable damage deposit plus a $250 non-refundable cleaning fee will apply to either package. You'll have your pick of two gorgeous ocean-view ceremony sites at Swallow Creek Ranch: the Hillside Amphitheater or the Sea View Meadow, plus the enchanting barnyard for cocktail hour. Each location offers its own unique atmosphere. Sea View Meadow's magical Creekside location sits alongside a eucalyptus grove and garden path that attracts monarch butterflies and captures sea views. The Hilltop Amphitheatre offers breathtaking panoramic vistas that overlook the coastal terraces of Estero Bluffs State Park. Cocktail hour is a barnyard affair beneath bistro lights with a vintage mobile bar and 5 wine barrels as cocktail tables. The party continues in our historic blue barn, your reception space for the night. Receptions of up to 250 guests take place in the enchanting, historic blue dairy barn. The amenities at Swallow Creek Ranch include: -Indoor reception in the barn - w/ tables &chairs for 200 guests, drapery, lighting, bar, 4 heaters & 3 restrooms (1 ADA) -Two "getting ready" spaces - A vintage wedding suite & 1969 Airstream trailer -Choice of 2 ocean view ceremony sites - SeaView Meadow or Hilltop Amphitheatre -Rustic bench seating available for Sea View Meadow or the barnyard -Cocktail hour in the barnyard including - 5 wine barrels, a mobile bar & bistro lighting -Two site managers and parking attendants -Other miscellaneous ranch decor including - 1 farm table & 2 spool tables -Portable arch ($300 set up fee) -Onsite rehearsal dinner for up to 50 guests w/ use of table & chairs (add'l $300 fee) We'd love to hear from you and are happy to schedule a tour by appointment only. Jonna and Reid Kitchen are lifelong friends of Kyla and Paul Grafton. They all met during their college years at Cuesta College and Humboldt State University over 30 years ago! They attended Kyla and Paul's wedding at Swallow Creek Ranch nearly 20 years ago and fell in love with the property. They are experienced property managers and natural hosts who now oversee the wedding venue as site managers. They do what they love and love what they do!

the Hill Top Ceremony lookout + the barn, we knew this was our venue. It is the perfect mix of coastal country and we felt it represented us as a couple perfectly! I would highly take advantage of the hill top ceremony, the view is undoubtedly gorgeous, our guests loved it! Since we had our ceremony up on the hill we were able to take advantage of doing our rehearsal dinner in the Seaview Meadow, which was so perfect and intimate. For the day of, the boys got ready up at the vintage airstream, it felt like the perfect guy hangout spot with roaming views of the coast. While the girls got ready in the cutest bridal suit, you really get to take advantage of every bit of this gorgeous venue, all weekend long too! Jonna and Reid were the BIGGEST help on our wedding day, you don't even know it, but they work their butts off to ensure everything is in place, guests know where to go for parking, to helping us clean up a bit. Jonna was so responsive during our planning process with all my questions and concerns, she put me at ease. They have the best vendor recommendations which makes vetting vendors so much easier, they are the professionals, so definitely take their advice.

to the big day. Jonna and Reid were so welcoming and helpful. They provide chairs, tables, ceremony seating, and great facilities; it made planning so much easier. Not only is Swallow Creek Ranch just absolutely gorgeous in every way but it was such a bonus to have accessibility to the bridal suite and airstream so that the ladies and gents could get ready in comfort. Every part of having our wedding at Swallow Creek Ranch was a dream.

The planning process went smoothly thanks to Jonna who is extremely professional and communicative. The venue's curated vendor list was excellent and Jonna worked with us to bring in a new band we wanted to have for big day. Wedding day at the Sea View Meadow went without a hitch thanks to Jonna and Reid and the place showed as well in pictures as it did in-person. Wouldn't change a thing.

From the views of rolling hills of the hilltop to the beauty of Seaview Meadow, the intimacy of the blue barn, and everything in between. The day we got married, we were surrounded by nature’s best: endless wildflowers, eucalyptus and cypress trees, birds chirping, and the distant glow of the ocean in the background. The party continued in the magical blue barn, spacious yet intimate and perfectly suited for every moment of the reception. From first dances to dinner all the way through to an incredible dance party. The energy of this place is so special and we will cherish it forever. We can’t wait to visit whenever we are in town :) Beyond the beauty of this venue, Jonna and Reid made us and our guests feel like family! We are so grateful for their kindness, generosity and support. They were so helpful in guiding us as we crafted a wedding that felt like us. team at Swallow Creek. I picked this venue for two reasons: 1) the view from the hilltop for the ceremony and 2) after meeting Jonna I thought she would be really great to work with. Man was I right! This venue offers a truly unique ceremony spot at the hilltop with views of the ocean that will treat you to amazing photos and your guests to a great experience. Jonna and her team have this venue working like a well oiled machine and I never once had an ounce of doubt about whether my wedding would play out the way I wanted. Jonna is an amazing host with great knowledge of logistics and it's obvious she truly cares about each of her client's having a wonderful wedding experience. If you're looking for a truly unique wedding venue that'll give you beautiful coastal pictures and if run by amazing staff, look no further than Swallow Creek. If you're a bride in the beginning stages of wedding venue shopping, let me do you a favor and end your search here. Swallow Creek is the best place, you really will not be disappointed!

fect place (right above Villa Creek, where we've watched many sunsets!). So, when we got engaged, it was our obvious first choice, and we ended up getting married there last week (8/19/2023). Our wedding at Swallow Creek Ranch was even better than I could've imagined -- of course the scenery was absolutely gorgeous, but we were also so grateful to have Jonna and Reid overseeing everything on our wedding day. They truly made us feel so welcome and celebrated, and helped us so much throughout the process, from our initial venue tour last year to clean-up the day after the wedding. We picked all of our vendors from their suggested list and it made the day go so smoothly, since everyone knew Jonna/Reid and the venue. All in all, it was the perfect day, and all of our guests couldn't stop gushing about the venue. I would recommend Swallow Creek Ranch to anyone hoping to get married on the Central Coast!

Shortly after we arrived at Swallow Creek Ranch, we knew it was the one. The hilltop ceremony site alone was enough to convince us. However, as soon as we met Kyla, her kind and laid back personality aligned so well with what we were looking for. Within reason, she never denied any of our crazy ideas. “Can we have a 90s cover band play a surprise show that evening on the back stage!?” “Sure!” she said with a smile. And we did! We loved her positivity from the start, but after working with her we learned she had many other great qualities that made our planning process much easier: she was very organized, had good attention to detail, and was a strong communicator. When you’re planning your own wedding, these qualities are very important to have in all your vendors. Being semi new to the area, we weren’t sure what exactly to expect from fall on the central coast. We were married on October 26th, 2019 and we had perfect weather. The day of our ceremony, the fog rolled out and gave us a beautiful backdrop. The barn has so much charm, and many guests commented on our cool and unique choice for both our ceremony and reception. Also — the bridal suite made me consider re-decorating our home. :) Kyla - you and your family were a pleasure to work with. Swallow Creek Ranch (and Cayucos in general) now holds a very special place in our hearts. Thank you for everything!

had a destination wedding weekend in Cayucos and it was a total blast! Everything was absolutely perfect. Kyla and her team were easy to work with and made the setup process as seamless as possible. They worked with us and our vendors on setup and strike. Everything was perfect and we cannot recommend this venue enough!!

The Swallow Creek Ranch is nothing shy of being absolutely stunning: beach views, eucalyptus trees everywhere and just such a warm, inviting feeling on the grounds and with Kyla and her staff. I hope that my husband and I can return to The Swallow Creek gem someday, even if it's just for a dinner in the barn. as wonderful in every way. We planned our wedding from out of town but Kyla's friendly and helpful demeanor reduced the stress level tremendously. When we met with her she was very patient and willing to listen to our ideas. The property was clean and ready for us as we were setting up for our event. Kyla tried to accommodate and help us in any way she could. I feel so appreciative for having the opportunity to celebrate our special occasion at Swallow Creek Ranch. It was awesome in every way!!!

xactly what we were looking for. Swallow Creek gives you exclusive access for the entire weekend that you book your wedding (Friday through Sunday), which is so nice for setting everything up, hosting the rehearsal, and giving time for clean up / removing all of our things. We had our ceremony on the hilltop, our cocktail hour in the meadow, and the reception in the barn, which was absolutely perfect for us (though you can also do the ceremony in the meadow behind the barn to make it a bit easier). Our guests could not stop complimenting us on how beautiful the ceremony site was (and our pictures are proof of the gorgeous view!) and how perfect the entire venue was. The venue is a perfect combination of rustic and polished. Kyla and her family have made great upgrades to the venue to make it such a professional venue, such as leveling and adding gravel to the outdoor areas and building very clean and nice bathrooms for guests. We chose to do very minimal decorations to allow the space to speak for itself, but it is a perfect blank canvass for whatever you want your wedding to look like. This venue was honestly more than we could have asked for, with such a warm and welcoming vibe that could only come from Kyla and her family opening the venue to others to use. We were able to have the relaxed but elegant wedding that we wanted because of the natural beauty of the space. I would absolutely have my wedding all over again at Swallow Creek and could not imagine celebrating our wedding day anywhere else! Everything was absolutely perfect and I can't say enough about how amazing Kyla is and how beautiful her property is!!! I hope one day I can go back to reminisce about our perfect day there!
