Located in the vibrant surroundings of the Buckhead area, this iconic property has served the local community for over six decades. The History
The Forward Arts Foundation was started on September 21, 1965, by 12 community-minded women visionaries as a non-profit organization. These art patrons chose the carriage house of the Edward Inman estate, situated on the grounds of the Atlanta History Center. This carriage house, the masterpiece of famed local architect Phillip Trammell Shutze, was carefully restored and reopened as the Swan Coach House in 1967.
