We used Sweeney's for our after-wedding brunch and it was the perfect venue for a brunch gathering. Ashley and her team were easy to communicate and work with. The food was awesome, we got so many compliments on the quiches and dips. It was exactly what we were hoping it would be to connect with guests the day after our wedding. We would definitely recommend using Sweeney's for any of your events!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Sweeney's Saloon in October. The planning process did not go as smoothly as expected but the event was a success! The room was beautiful and service the night of was great.

Jenn was incredibly quick to respond to questions and very organized. The day of our wedding as we were wrapping up, she helped all of our items to make the cleanup go so much faster and smoother. The food was tasty and the prices were incredibly reasonable compared to other venues. They were very flexible about dietary needs. So pleased we picked Sweeney’s and cannot recommend it enough for folks looking for a low-key but we’ll put together space

Outstanding venue for a low-key, yet still classy wedding. The staff went above and beyond to make the space upstairs work for our wedding. The price was unbeatable compared to other similar venues in the area. Overall, extremely happy with how the whole day turned out.

The best decision I ever made was to have my wedding reception at Sweeney's. This was a tough venue to find in the slew of big name places. Seating is limited for a sit-down dinner, we had about 103 and the max was 108 unless we wanted to use bar seats for dinner. Allison in events is so great to work with. She answered all of my questions (there were a lot), and was so quick to respond. This was the only place we toured and we went with it. It is priced right, there are no hidden fees, we were able to bring in our own cupcakes, and accept or decline options like using their decor or linen napkins. The space is cute, intimate, and has a lot of charm. I did not want a place that I had to disguise to make it look good. I wanted to like the space as-is. Food and drink options were great. Staff was super friendly and kept us informed of where things were at throughout the night (bar tab, time to move the head table for access to the dance floor, etc.). They did an awesome job and the best part is I can go back anytime to enjoy their bar/restaurant!

Sweeney's is one of our favorite St Paul bars, and we were ecstatic to find out that they have a cool upstairs room with a bar. We had our rehearsal dinner here, buffet style, and it was so much fun! Our guests mingled and enjoyed our favorite hors d'oeurves as well as open bar. The staff are fantastic and the service was incredible!

Sweeney's has a beautiful party room on the second floor of the restaurant. The food was amazing, the staff was helpful, professional and very nice on the day of our wedding. They worked with us to bring in our own cake, worked with our guest's dietary needs and scheduled time for us to decorate the venue the way we wanted. All in all it was a perfect evening!

The place was just perfect for us. The decor was exactly the "feel" we were going for. Allison, who is the event coordinator was so helpful, accommodating, and easy to work with. She tries to make sure you get the most for you money, and I SO appreciated that! We went with the appetizer buffet option, and we got SO many positive comments from all our guests. It was out of the norm, not your typical "chicken breast and mashed potato" wedding meal. All in all, it's definitely worth checking out, it worked absolutely perfectly for us!!

We had our rehearsal dinner at Sweeney's Saloon and it was great! They redid the upstairs banquet room and it very nice. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. It was a nice, intimate place for a rehearsal.
