They say that picking a wedding photographer is the most important vendor for your big day - since you'll be spending so much time around them. I knew immediately from our engagement shoot with Erica that she was the one to capture our moment. Erica & Amanda are really such pros, too - they were so quick to direct everyone to pose in the most easy-to-understand ways to get SO many pictures in such a short period of time. My husband and I are super awkward people - but you wouldn't know it from these pictures, we truly look like we belong in a magazine haha wtf!!!! AMAZING!!! They also got us our preveiws during the busy fall season in just a few days - and there were SOOOO MANY of them! Our wedding party was shocked at how good and how many there were, saying "these are only the previews?!" I can't even imagine how great the full album is going to be if this is just a taste of it!! And lastly, they are just great human beings through and through. Both Erica & Amanda radiate such positive and warm energy - that everyone felt comfortable around them. They're the kind of people that you feel like you've known for way longer than you do. I usually get really nervous around cameras, but they are seriously so calm and kind that you end up just laughing and smiling the whole time. nd who had worked with them previously. We soon set up a virtual meeting and connected with Erica Leman - the Founder and Lead Photographer at Sweet Alice. In this stressful and confusing time, Erica was beyond helpful for us - patiently explaining what the process would look like, the timeline for the photos, and what we could expect every step of the way. She also introduced us to Sweet Alice Studios lead photographer, Erika - who we would end up hiring as our wedding photographer. Erica collaborates with a number of thoughtful and engaging photographers, who each capture the professional style that she has cultivated for the weddings she manages. In the fall of 2024, we took our Engagement photos on a rainy day. Despite our worries of the weather being less than ideal, we were STUNNED by how the pictures came out. Erika knew exactly the right angles, poses, and shots to take which made a drizzly day into a bright and happy one. Not only that, but she was personable and friendly, helping us to feel comfortable and prepared for all that was to come. Our wedding day came fast after that - and joining Erika on that day was Debbie, another lead photographer with Sweet Alice Studios, who also displayed calm professionalism in a fun-loving manner.The two immediately operated under a perfect system - showing up early in the morning to get shots of us getting ready, details, and remained with us every step of the way as we made our way to the venue. As before, they surveyed the venue perfectly, knowing the best spots for photos and group shots - we were particularly stunned by our first look photos beneath the venue’s willow tree. Following this, the photographers remained for the celebration - capturing moments with a preciseness that we admired. Throughout the day, I found myself thinking “I would love for this moment to be captured,” and without fail I would see one of the photographers nearby and snapping away. They seemed to have a perfect understanding of exactly what and who we wished to have special moments captured of. We could not have been happier with their attention to detail and focus. As for the photos themselves, they are all captured with a depth of light, color, and joy. The team at Sweet Alice made us feel relaxed enough to act like our natural selves, allowing for authentic shots that shine from the frame and feel truly special to us because they feel like *us* in one of our brightest and happiest moments. After the wedding, Erica remained in touch - and got us the photo gallery in an expedient timeframe. Since then, we have continued to open the photo gallery and bask at how beautiful every individual picture is - we keep noticing new details, laughing all over again at each stunning memory. Erica and the Sweet Alice team were the first and only photography vendor we looked at and after meeting with Erica on Zoom, we knew that we just had to have her photograph our wedding day. Erica is kind and so welcoming - making you feel as if you've known her for years, when it's only been minutes. She is so skilled and talented and takes any vision you have and literally executes it to perfection. For our engagement session, we plainly asked if we could go to our favorite bar in our town and then walk the river front and take fun, relaxed photos and boy, did Erica deliver. She made the entire session go by in a blink of an eye, and made us so comfortable being in front of the camera. Leading up to our wedding day, she was communicative and responsive and the use of the her website was so seamless to identify specific shots we wanted and then we put our entire trust in her and her team to capture our wedding and our favorite people. In the leading up, Erica sent us sweet gifts [as well as gifts for our puppy Wolfgang - like seriously she is so thoughtful and amazing] which added so much excitement leading up to the wedding day. On our wedding day, everything went so perfectly. Erica and one of her team members, Erika, arrived and immeditely sprung into action - they were so knowledgeable, so kind, and so patient with everyone involved in the wedding day. They worked so well with our venue and everything just fell into place. There were no worries or concerns or feeling like something was overlooked - they had literally everything down to a science - so you didn't have to worry about a thing. They made EVERYONE feel special and feel seen. They captured our day to perfection and it is such a joy to look throguh all our photographs and see every single one of our favorite people enjoying the moment, enjoying each other, and you can just feel the joy and love, from the getting ready shots, to the ceremony, and all the dancing and celebrating at the reception. The photos she took of us are just so beautiful and magazine worthy. Erica is so timely and sends back previews and the final shots so quickly - everyone was so excited [and kinda shocked!] to know that our photos were already done and had come out so, so beautifully. Erica captured us so perfectly and all of our photos feel so organic and reflective of who we are. I cannot recommend Erica and the Sweet Alice team more - her prices are fair and include so much and you cannot ask for a better person to work alongside with. You will not regret your choice in booking with Erica and the Sweet Alice team - honestly it'll be your easiest decision!

th her. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but she was such a source of calm and support all the way through the wedding planning process. When we had to find a new venue due to issues with the first one, Erica was so reassuring that it would all work out and she even offered to send me full galleries of all the venues we were considering. When I forgot to put my engagement ring on before our engagement shoot (!!!!) she encouraged us to go back for it and told us not to worry about the timing. And on our wedding day, the second she saw me start to get stressed during family portraits, she stepped in with the most perfectly timed pep talk. Not to mention, she and Amanda (another Sweet Alice team member) managed to make rain on our wedding day such a special adventure that I wouldn't trade it for sunshine even if I could! Erica is the most kind-hearted and thoughtful human and this shines through in everything she does. From the many little treats and gifts she sent us just-because, to her ability to make anyone feel comfortable in front of a camera... My husband and I are both very much not photo people, but ten minutes into our engagement shoot it felt like we were hanging out with an old friend. We heard this over and over again from our friends and family at the wedding too. AND THE PICTURES. Some of my favorites are the candids she took when I didn't even know she was shooting. We had such a lovely time re-living our wedding through the album she sent us. We both said that we were glad we didn't end up spending extra money on a videographer because your photos told the whole story of our day so beautifully! I can't emphasize enough how grateful we are that we found Erica- there is no one else we can imagine spending so much of our special day with. I plan to encourage everyone I know to try and book her for their weddings- if only so we can hang out with her again!

an incredible photographer but also an incredible person when I saw her post my friend’s engagement shoot on instagram. Through both her photos and her words, Erica always seems to capture the essence of each couple, the unique thing that makes them themselves. She is an extremely hard working, thoughtful and personable person and goes above and beyond to really get to know everyone she works with. Naturally, the first thing I did when we were ready to plan our wedding was reach out to Erica and it was one of the best decisions we made. Erica makes everything so easy. From planning the timeline, to working with the other vendors she’s always extremely organized, on top of everything. It gave us one less thing to worry about. On our wedding day, Erica & her talented second photographer worked to ensure the day ran smoothly, every step of the way. She was there to support us as a couple, especially me, as a stressed out, nervous bride. It made all the difference having her there with her expertise and professionalism, I felt entirely supported. I would say my fiancé and I are not the most ~natural~ in front of the camera—you would never know this from our photos. Erica gave us easy to follow guidance that made for the best and most natural looking shots. She has an eye for lighting & locations—we utilized so many different spots at our venue both inside and out—it’s amazing how many different shots we were able to get. Additionally, we went over all of the family shots we wanted on our call before the wedding & this made it run so efficiently (we all know how it can be managing all our family members for photos!) We were blown away when we got our previews (within 48 hours!) and even more so when we got our full album. Every part of the day was BEAUTIFULLY documented through Erica’s artistic lens. Our family & friends have raved about how stunning the photos are. We cannot wait to hang them in our home. Truthfully, I had very high standards for my photographer as my sister, a wedding photographer, made sure to give me the advice: “your photos are forever, make that your investment.” I am SO glad we chose Erica to be part of our journey & we cannot thank her enough. stunning I've ever seen, she is a gem of a human that is hard to match. She is super accessible and will answer every question you have. (What do I wear for the engagement shoot? Should I wear my hair up or down? What do I do with my hands? Do we look weird when we're kissing?) I was super sick and actually had pneumonia the week of our wedding. After I told Erica, she texted me almost daily to see how I was feeling, and to figure out any changes we might need to make to help me get through the day (i.e. some breaks and lots of water). She and her co-photographer Debby were amazing with me, my husband, and our whole family. Erica captured the joy and fun of our wedding in a way that you can actually feel the laughter and smiles jumping out of the images. We are getting rave reviews on how gorgeous the pictures are, and even heard that both Erica and Debby were teary-eyed during our ceremony. Seriously, Erica is THE BEST. I have been following Erica on social media for years now and knew before we were engaged that I wanted her as our wedding photographer. Her images capture the pure love and authenticity of her couples. Not all images are candid, but they look it. She is a beam of joy and light, so every session with her was comfortable and fun. At one point, I expressed to her some of my insecurities when it came to having my photo taken. She was empathetic and considerate and provided me with some tips. On the day of our engagement session, she gave me subtle cues and I knew she was taking care of me. Erica is simply one of the kindest souls I have met in my life. She made this whole journey an experience instead of a transaction of a service. Her second photographer, Debbie, was also a gem. You can tell that Erica takes her time to find people that align with her business values. We would recommend her and her team to anyone and everyone looking for a photographer.

I have been told that you end up being around your wedding photographer more than almost anyone else on your wedding day - so it's super important you feel comfortable around them, so I was thrilled to feel like I have known her for years just over a Zoom call! Then, she managed to fit us in her schedule last minute, and drive over 3 hours to us in the Greater Boston area to shoot at the Arnold Arboretum! Talk about going above and beyond!!!! She frolicked around the park in the cold with us, LITERALLY climbing in and out of bushes and trees to get these gorgeous shots. You couldn't tell by the photos... but I was super duper nervous going into the shoot. I’m not a huge fan of my picture being taken… and the thought a professional camera made me feel extremely anxious. But Erica was so kind, and calm, and made me laugh and feel comfortable literally immediately!!! My fiancé and I are sooooo awkward too, but she expertly posed us in many different ways that make us look like pros LOL! A day that I had so much anxiety for… ended up being such a blast for both of us, truly. JUST THE SHOOT IN ITSELF will be a wonderful memory we will cherish forever. And then she got us the photos in record time, I couldn't believe it! So fast!!! And to no surprise, they were all incredible. It's so hard to choose a favorite, I have like 10 haha. I am beyond excited to have her shoot our wedding in the future. Five stars for EVERYTHING! Seriously. She is so incredibly talented!!!!

ions and really just being our cheerleader. They both brought such incredible and positive energy and were just a joy to be around and talk to. They had their own ideas for pictures that we were fans of but also asked us what we wanted and listened to any suggestions or input we had. They constantly worked with us to make sure they were accompishing what we were looking for. They were kind and patient with our bridal party and families and also kept us on track with the timeline to make sure we got all the shots we wanted when we wanted them. We've seen the edited sneak peek pictures (which they got to us SUPER quickly after the wedding) so far and they're all absolutely incredible. We love the way they focus on the people but also include so much of the environment in their pictures. We picked a beautiful venue and so we were looking forward to that aspect of their photography after seeing some of their work and we were far from disappointed. During the day they made sure to incorporate as much of the scenery as possible while taking pictures as we had expressed that was very important to us. More than being a wedding vendor, they truly felt like our friends and we sincerely hope to have the opportunity to work with them again in the future.

Everything just felt so easy and organic working with Erica and Debbie. Erica was my wedding therapist throughout the entire process, giving great advice, addressing any questions I had, and steered the ship with a steady hand, so to speak. From our FIRST phone call with Erica, we knew she was someone we would feel comfortable with having as a part of our day. She made us feel so special, so calm, and luckily she was informative and made us realize some key things: the engagement sessions are great practice (especially for people who hate having their picture taken) and you might NEED to do a first look since we would have to skip cocktail hour - things we never thought about, she truly wants the best for her couples and you can feel it in each interaction with her. We genuinely looked forward to seeing her on each of our calls, sessions, etc. and we could never thank her enough for bringing such calm, confidence, light and ease to our special season!

lient-friends. I felt so close to her throughout the wedding planning process. Since this was my first wedding and had no practice throwing this kind of event before, Erica was my north star. Her contribution to the day extended beyond the scope of just photography. She helped us put together our timeline, answer all of our questions, and really got to know us. We couldn't arrange an engagement shoot due to my and my husband's schedule, so Erica was thoughtful in getting to know us remotely so that things felt easy on our wedding day. Before we know it the day had come and I was honestly so excited for her to arrive at our Airbnb. When she arrived I wanted to sit and chat over a cup of coffee but she got straight to it, captured the entire day, helped us set up our first looks, and was so easy to work with. We thought we were camera shy and would be uncomfortable doing our portraits. But when it came to it, Erica and her second photographer Debbie, made us look and feel good. They were so sweet, listened to our apprehensions and fears, and eased them all. They both coached us with a gentle hand into our photos and boy, do we look freaking good!!  The Sweet Alice team was so great with our families, they were truly a joy to work with. We dragged our loved ones outside in January to get some nature photos and Erica helped them stay warm (she brought hand warmers for everyone!), reminded people to stand tall in the cold, and helped get the shot quickly so folks could get back inside. After our family photos, we wanted the rest of our event to feel less posed and more candid. Erica and Debbie were incredible, never asked for a posed shot but I'm sure captured the rest of the day beautifully. We are so excited for the gallery to come. There has not been a day since the wedding when my husband and I haven't gushed over the sneak peek photos. She really cares about people.

d. From our first zoom meeting, to our engagement shoot and then to our wedding day, Erica had such a calming presence that was very needed during the stressful wedding planning process. We had such confidence in her and her work, she was the last person that we needed to worry about on our wedding day. We had so much fun going out onto the venue's grounds and taking our couples photos. Erica made us feel so good about ourselves that we felt like we could go book a modeling job afterwards. Our photos were amazing and she worked so hard to make sure we had sneak peeks ready by the morning after our wedding. We had the most amazing wedding day and Erica was able to capture all of that in her photos. This was the easiest decision we made during our wedding planning process and we are so thankful for you, Erica!

nd Erica and we have thanked the universe for it many times. Our only regret is not meeting her sooner!! From the first meeting we felt a sense of relief and comfort as she was not only a great guide about the process, but took the time to get to know my husband and I so we felt like friends coming together for a special project! Erica is the most supportive while being responsive, detailed and, of course, taking INCREDIBLE shots. I mean we were stunned by the sneak peeks!! Lily, her second shooter, was also wonderful and it was clear the two of them had a great, cohesive vision for the day which made everything seamless. Because of them, the day felt so fun and full of laughter. Erica was so encouraging and supportive during photos that one of my bridesmaids jokingly asked her 'Are you a therapist? Because I have never felt so good about myself!' Our day would not have ever been the same without Erica and Lily. When we look at these drop-dead gorgeous photos, we will remember how amazing the day was but we also always remember the two of them right there beside us as our hilarious, fun cheerleaders (I'm getting teary just thinking about it). We had met with a few other photographers, but no one made we feel at ease like Erica did. Erica has a bright and calming energy. We knew she would be a positive influence on our day but would also be able to take control and get us the photos we wanted. From the minute we hired Erica, she showed us just how much she cares about her clients. She checked in at the right times and helped us plan our timeline. On the big day, everything she did was exactly what we needed. She kept that calm atmosphere and was so encouraging. I'm not super confident in front of the camera, but she made me feel like I was a model on our big day lol. She was right where we needed her for every important moment, as well as her second shooter. Then, we had our sneak peek photos super early the day after and my mouth literally hit the floor. nning during a pandemic. From e-mails to Zoom meetings to postponements and rescheduling and several venue changes, she was there for us the whole way! It was such a comfort to know that even if everything else fell through, we could still count on her for beautiful photographs, wherever/whenever we ended up getting married! Our photos arrived earlier than we expected, and they are STUNNING! We can't stop looking at them and can't decide which ones we want to get printed because they are all so beautiful. We ended up getting married on a gorgeous but bathroomless flower farm and got ready in an ugly rented RV. Somehow even that ugly RV looks beautiful in the getting ready photos! Seriously! Erica is so sweet and joyful, and we are SO glad that she was there to capture every moment of our wedding day for us. Posing for photos can be so awkward, but she made us feel at ease. It was so much fun! We were laughing and smiling the whole time! She had so many great ideas for poses and was open to our suggestions as well. We are literally obsessed with all of our photos! Okay, okay... you're probably thinking, 'What about the pictures?' The pictures are PHENOMENAL! Erica looks up what time sunset is on the day of your engagement photos and wedding photos so that she knows exactly when to capture that golden hour lighting (if that's what you want). She tells you how to pose, which to most people can feel awkward, but she makes it feel so natural and makes you laugh, so that these poses don't feel strange to anyone. My husband hates taking pictures and she was able to capture some of the best pictures of him and I together. She captured beautiful sunset photos from our wedding day and we're DYING to see the rest. In addition, Erica brought another photographer on our wedding day who was just as sweet and nice as she was! They were both extremely knowledgeable regarding poses, lighting, etc. and it really made for some great pictures! We have loved every picture Erica has taken of us from our engagement photos to our elopement pictures and ultimately, our wedding day photos. COVID-19 pandemic. She had already taken stunning engagement photos prior to the pandemic, and we received many compliments. We decided to have an elopement with our parents, and Erica's elopement photos were more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. Erica goes above and beyond in her work.
