We hired them for our wedding and were very disappointed. They were slow to respond to emails (sometimes took several weeks) rude & defensive in replies. We had ten less people sho...
w up than planned but we still didn’t have enough food in the buffet line (which they later blamed on guests who were served once by their staff.) They also brought less alcohol than we confirmed, and we ran out only a couple hours into the reception. I could go on... Would not hire again.
Fun and progressive. We were running late, couldn't get my new son-in-law to sit down and get the speeches started. Sweet Basil crew were patient, kept the food warm, handled th...
e hungry mob, all with a smile. Thank you SBD&C.
What an amazing and helpful team of caterers. We had Sweet Basil Cater our plated meal at Belsolda Farms and they were amazing. The appetizers were beautiful and the food was delic...
ious. They also did a brunch for us the following day and we were extremely happy with the roasted vegetable and goat cheese fritata they prepared We highly recommend Sweet Basil.
The most awful experience of our wedding. Marquette has very limited options for catering and despite some poor reviews we heard from other we chose to go with Sweet Basil. Big mis...
take. The service on our wedding day was awful. Everything ran behind due to the food not being ready and the servers were unprofessional and beyond rude. On your big day you should never pick up on stress and irritability from your servers but unfortunately that was our experience. White wine was not iced (wrong wine too from what we had ordered for our reception), no plastics (bartender had to run to go get this and ice 10 minutes before cocktail hour started--this was all something we had paid for),apps and cocktails did not come up until a 20 minutes after cocktail hour was suppose to start for our guests. I could continue to list every detail that went wrong on our big day. The worst part is, when I confronted management on the issue it was nothing but a battle. No apology, no offer of any sort of refund for our poor experience, just unprofessional attitude and very defensive. This continued on weeks after my wedding and the owner provided nothing but rude emails and chose to not return phone calls. Do yourself a favor and go with anyone else in Marquette. Without the amazing Double Trouble Djs, our photographer and our wedding coordinator we believe our day would have been nearly ruined. We were beyond thankful that although out catering was a nightmare we were able to work with so many other amazing companies.
The food was really good, but we didn't get a final estimate until 4 days before our wedding. Every time we went into the deli, our caterer was not there, and no one else seemed to...
know anything about the wedding. We were told several times that we would get an estimate on a certain date, and then we would get it a week later. When asked about it over text (the only way we could get a hold of them) they would not respond. Very unorganized and frustrating, causing unneeded stress on our wedding day!
