Sweet Butter Baking will bring your vision to life and provide desserts your guests will be talking about for years to come. Owner and Pastry Chef Andrea Schulte has over 20 years of experience making stunning wedding cakes. She's also a Culinary & Baking Pastry Arts College Instructor. Andrea has created special New Mexico themed cake flavors, such as The Land of Enchantment Cake, NM Chocolate Decadence Cake, and New Mexico Champagne Cake. Please ask about these when you inquire. Her other most popular cake flavor choices include Raspberries & Cream, Luscious Lemon, Vanilla Creme Brulee, Honey Lavender, and more. All cakes are made using the highest-quality ingredients, non-GMO, mostly organic, and free of seed oils. These delicious cakes are iced with Andrea's light, buttery Swiss Meringue Buttercream. Sweet Butter Baking allows couples to create a custom cake or choose a cake style from their online cake shop. Design options can include classic & smooth, textured, vintage piping, painted & piped buttercream, rolled fondant, stencil overlay, and/or edible gold leaf for a contemporary aesthetic. Sweet Butter Baking offers desserts too, like Heart Shaped Biscochitos, French Macarons, Mini Cream Pies, Linzer Heart Tarts, and Cupcakes! Andrea encourages interested couples to get in touch to explore their options. As a classically trained Pastry Chef, I have been making wedding cakes for over 20 years. I’m here to make your cake dreams into a reality. Celebrate and eat cake! I went to Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, SC where I earned degrees in Baking & Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, and a Bachelor’s in Food Service Management. Throughout my career I have worked as Pastry Chef in many hotels and resorts, as a private chef, catered special events, and owned the New Mexico Pie Company bakery. I currently teach Advanced Baking and Pastry Arts at a culinary school in New Mexico. My passion is to make your cake the most beautiful and the most delicious for your special day!

We are beyond thrilled with the custom cake and cupcakes from Sweet Butter Baking! Not only did they look absolutely stunning, but they tasted incredible too. We had a specific vision in mind for our cake, and Sweet Butter brought it to life perfectly, down to the smallest detail. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was! The cupcakes were a huge hit, with flavors that were both unique and rich, and the cake itself was moist, flavorful, and beautifully decorated. Highly recommend!"

Sweet Butter Baking was wonderful to work with. We initially hadt a great cake tasting and she wase very professional. That was when we decided to book her for our wedding. She did exactly what we needed which was our wedding cake, the cupcakes and our biscochito favors. Everything was delicious eand beautifully made. I would recommend Andrea to anyone. We hired Andrea at Sweet Butter Baking to make our wedding cake, and we're so glad we did! From the tasting through day-of delivery and setup, Andrea was extremely responsive and easy to work with. We got a beautiful satellite cake display with vanilla creme brulee and chocolate raspberry flavors, and they were absolutely delicious. We got several comments from guests that they don't usually like wedding cake, but ours was so good that they had more than one slice. I highly recommend Sweet Butter Baking!

Sweet Butter Baking was amazing! We were a bit later on scheduling a cake for our wedding than we should have during a busy time of year, but Andrea was very quick with communicating and helping us out with a cake that we could get in time for our day. It came out beautiful and delicious, and reasonably priced. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend to others!

Highly recommend Sweet Butter Baking for your wedding cake and desserts. Andrea is the owner and genius baker of this local business. We absolutely loved the cake and assortment of desserts- variety of cupcakes and mini lemon cream pies. Andrea is experienced and artistic. She created a beautiful cake to match our wedding flower palette. Our guests ate all the desserts. Looking back I should have taken her recommendation to get the regular sized cupcakes rather than the mini ones. The desserts were delicious and are made with quality ingredients. We are so pleased we chose Sweet Butter Baking for our wedding cake and desserts.

Andrea did a fabulous job with our wedding cake this summer! It was the most beautiful cake I’ve ever seen - truly unique in design and flavor. We got the land of enchantment and some biscochito cookies which was such a nice addition. She was lovely to work with and totally understood our vision. She made it all very easy. I sometimes don’t eat cake at weddings but had two pieces at my own! Every guest commented on how delicious it was and we haven’t stopped dreaming about it since. Highly highly recommend this bakery if you’re looking to WOW your guests with beauty and deliciousness.

Andrea was great to work with! The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing! My guests talked about it for two weeks straight!! I got the Land Of Enchantment cake, fyi. In addition, the biscochitos were a HIT!! My friends all joked about how they kept going back for more and shoved other people out of the way! Would highly recommend!

Andrea is professional, responsive, organized, experienced, creative, and most importantly, after tasting a whole lot of cake across Albuquerque, all of my taste tester crew agreed Andrea's cakes are absolutely delicious! She provided our wedding cake and cupcakes in her chocolate raspberry and Land of Enchantment flavors, and did a beautiful job arranging the flowers I provided to fit my vision. I had multiple guests tell me that it was the best wedding cake they had ever eaten, and I agree. Choosing Andrea and Sweet Butter Baking was one of the best vendor decisions I made, and it was worth every penny! Would highly recommend!

Andrea was an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only are her cakes beautiful, but they taste amazing! Communication is spot on, our cake was delivered on time, and there was not a crumb left. We used Sweet Butter Baking for our wedding cake, and I couldn't recommend her more. The delicious and beautiful cake was delivered safely and on time to our wedding. Communication was excellent, and the tasting beforehand was a lot of fun. And she even provided a wedding stand to borrow on the wedding day when ours wasn't sturdy enough. She's a pro.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Andrea at Sweet Butter Baking! Our wedding cake turned out absolutely amazing! It was exactly what we wanted and more! Andrea was so nice and easy to work with. From the start she sat down with us and listened to our ideas and also suggested a ton of excellent ideas as well! She had so many delicious flavors that it was so tough to pick just one! We ended up picking one for a wedding cake and a second for my bridal shower. My bridal shower cake was stunning and perfect for an intimate shower! Everyone absolutely loved it! For my wedding cake, we came up with a design that was beautiful and then we decided to go in a different direction. Andrea was very patient and very accommodating with this decision. She absolutely captured the vision for my dream cake in every way possible! The cake turned out absolutely breathtaking! It was HUGE and the guests were blown away and couldn’t stop talking about how amazing and delicious it was!! We also decided to have Andrea make us Macaroons for our guests as they arrived to the ceremony! They were an absolute hit with all the guests! I couldn’t of picked anyone better to create my dream cake! She was an absolute angle to work with! Andrea truly is so talented and I can’t wait to work with her again! Thank you so much Andrea!

I live in California and was getting married in Santa Fe - I was calling and emailing the bakers on the recommended vendor list that was given from my venue and NONE of them were picking up or they were ghosting me! A friend of mine even offered to start reaching out to other people outside of the list and was experiencing the same treatment! Luckily, I stumbled upon Andrea at Sweet Butter Baking. She was super responsive and very thorough the entire process. So easy to work with! The tasting was amazing - my now husband and I are not big on sweets but even he was blown away by the cupcakes that we got to taste! We ended up going with her Land of Enchantment cake, we got mini cupcakes that she put a little of the biscochito cream inside, as well as heart-shaped biscochitos as little favors for our guests! All the cake and cupcakes were gone and I received nothing but compliments about the taste! I hope to get another cake from her when I'm in town, possibly to celebrate our anniversary :)
