Sweet Cakes by Rachael

After finding Sweet Cakes by Rachel on the knot I couldn’t wait to set up a consultation/tasting for my wedding! Her cakes and cupcakes looked amazing, and were very reasonable in price! The communication with Rachel over the knot was hit or miss, which is understandable as I know not all venders use the knot religiously to respond to potential customers. I eventually just called the bakery, and we set up an appointment for me to pick up a tasting box for me to take home, with plans of a further consultation if I liked her cakes. Unfortunately when the appointment day came, I drove 35 minutes to her bakery to find it closed. I waited for 30 minutes, called, and messaged Rachel several times with no reply. I eventually just gave up and found another baker. I never have heard back from Rachel and it has been about a week now. I hope all is well, and that this was just the misunderstanding. Still, this level of lack of communication is not something I would be willing to risk for my wedding day.

Rachael was amazing to work with! She was very friendly and listened to all of our ideas. We had a specific design in mind and she brought it to life! She also had many flavor options and helped us pick some great combinations. Our cake looked amazing and tasted even better. She did an extensive design for our grooms cake that was perfect! Many of our guests commented on how delicious the cake was! I would definitely use her shop again for any cake needs.

I found Sweet Cakes by Rachael for our wedding cake because a friend of mine had highly recommended her cakes. My friend not only found her for her wedding but still to this day has cakes and other things made my Rachael. For our wedding, Rachael made a beautiful yet simple, white three layered cake wrapped in thin gray ribbon. It was exactly to my specifications and also included our anniversary cake boxed separate to take home after the reception. I wasn't one of those brides who wanted to go all out. I preferred the modern, slick look and it was perfect! She always replied to my questions and emails in a timely manner and even took the time out of her busy schedule to meet with me and make sure that my cake topper wasn't too big. Then there was the taste...amazing! Rachael's cakes don't taste like your typical "store" bought cake...rather your homemade with love cake. Delicious! I highly recommend Sweet Cakes by Rachael. You will not go wrong. I was even tight on my budget given we were suppose to have a 300 person wedding and we worked together to make sure I could have a cake that would fit my budget. She also had no problem in the last minute changes I had because we did end up having just over 200 for our head count. Rachael's cake's are amazing and her professionalism, attitude and kindness just shows how much she truly enjoys what she does. For me those things were important just as much as the taste. Sweet Cakes by Rachael is the whole package and I could never imagine going to anyone else for my wedding.

We chose Rachael because of her creativity, flexibility, and low price, and we were not disappointed. We wanted something a little unconventional for our cake, and she was more than accommodating. Rachael was open to all of our ideas and even last minute changes and additions.
