OHMYGOODNESS. Where do I begin? Had my wedding at the Coronado Marriott on August 17th and was fortunate enough to have Sweet Cheeks design and bake the cake for my wedding. My husband and I weren't able to schedule an in-house tasting due to o...ur limited availability so we took our tasting to go and tried out a variety of fillings and cake flavors. In retrospect, I do wish we could have sat down with someone from Sweet Cheeks to recommend different flavor combinations. Fortunately one of their designers was able to offer some suggestions later on which was extremely helpful and we were able to narrow down flavor combinations that worked out perfectly. I mean really.
For the design of the cake I sent their team a picture of what I had in mind and they came back with even better ideas. One of the things I loved most about Sweet Cheeks was that while they were respectful to what I had wanted, they came back with advice and suggestions that I found to be incredibly inspiring. Every single person that I spoke to from Sweet Cheeks, and I mean everyone, was so helpful, accommodating and "sweet" during the entire process. Elaine, A.K.A "The Right Cheek", was SO amazing, so friendly, and so fun to talk to. Sweet Cheeks made the wedding cake one of the most effortless and worry-free components of my wedding. Who wouldn't love that.
Quality of the cake was top notch. Elaine and her team really did an exceptional job and far exceeded my expectations about our wedding cake. I can't rave enough about how much my guests and I loved her team's artwork and creative talent. Not going to lie, we tore (in a very animal-like way) into the top tier of our wedding cake, that we were SUPPOSED to save for our one-year anniversary, the moment we got home. IT WAS THAT GOOD. We promised each other that we would go back to Sweet Cheeks for our one year anniversary and get another cake. If we lived in San Diego we would definitely be back sooner, but since we live in L.A. we'll be back in a year. Thanks a million!
