Sweet Confections Cakes was recommended to me by our wedding venue. I'm glad they did! The cake my daughter chose was almond flavored (white cake) with a strawberry champagne filling for half the cake, and a strawberry filling for the other half. It was the most delicious cake I ever taste, so moist. The frosting was light and airy and fantastic. My relatives told me it was the best cake they had ever tasted. Oh, and it was so beautiful too! We also selected the sugar flowers which looked real. I also was able to rent the cake stand which was a plus. So I highly recommend Sweet Confections Cakes.

I had the cake made for a wedding celebration. My son and (now) daughter-in-law got married in Myrtle Beach at the end of July, and they had a celebration for family and friends. The cake was so absolutely beautiful that it made it really hard to cut that first slice! Your team took my ideas from Pinterest and combined them , and the result was amazing. My only complaint is that the cake was a little dry and could have used a bit more raspberry flavoring. I’d love to post a photo, but I don’t see that option.

When my wife and I received our cake it was completely beautiful, they followed everything in detail with the look ,color and design . However it was a little dry than expected ! That’s the only reason for the 4 stars !!!

Outstanding! Everyone was asking “who did our fabulous cake”? Our guests could not stop raving about our four-tiered geode wedding cake. The pink champagne flavor was a hit too! We loved all the flavors. We will be back for an anniversary cake.

Our cake was absolutely delicious and is the blue one with snowflake picture on this page if its still up for everyone to see. We had tasted her cakes while at a wedding expo in Harrisburg and we knew we had to have them make our cake. The flavors are just stunning and so delicious compared to other bakeries. She was even able to make matching cupcakes for my guests who require gluten free or vegan due to allergies. If you want a wedding cake your guests actually want to eat you should book here. I had ordered extra due to COVID and our guest count constantly changing. Since I had extra a guest had four pieces he enjoyed it so much.

Darmayne at Sweet Confections was great to work with from the initial consultation to choosing flavors and finalizing a design for our wedding cake. She gave us exactly what I asked for and our wedding guests loved how it tasted. Would definitely recommend for wedding or any other occasion!

Sweet Confections went above and beyond with our wedding cake. We had a great experience working with them from the initial cake tasting to our wedding day. They were flexible and understanding when we had to postpone our wedding date. They were also very accommodating when we wanted to add a mountain texture to two of our cake layers. We were blown away by how well the cake design was executed. The cake was so delicious that all of our guests kept on raving about it throughout the night. We went with chocolate cake w/ cookies and cream buttercream and vanilla w/ strawberry champagne buttercream which were equally as delicious. From when the cake arrived to when it was served, it remained moist and soft. I definitely recommend Sweet Confections if you want a beautiful cake with a variety of flavor options!

Sweet Confections makes some of the yummiest cake I've ever had. They were easy to work with and did a great job coming up with and executing a vision for our cake. I was busy getting ready all morning so it wasn't until later in the day that someone told me the cake had arrived late, which would explain why my florist didn't have time to add the live flowers. Unfortunately, someone at the wedding must have bumped the cake table because as soon as I walked into the reception I noticed that the top of the cake was tilting. Although this wasn't the bakery's fault, perhaps if the cake had arrived on time the photographer would have at least been able to take a photo before it was leaning, and my florist could have added the flowers before she left. Aside from that the cake looked good and tasted incredible!

Absolutely amazing! Darmayne was wonderful to work with and brought our cake vision to life! We wanted figs and blueberries on our cake and several other "big name" bakeries refused to do figs...Sweet Confections didn't even blink at our request! So, the cake tasted great. The product I received was not the issue. My problem was with how it was delivered. As we discussed with Sweet Confections during our consultation, (and again over email) our cake was very simple with live flowers cascading down the side. Sweet Confections does not arrange flowers on cakes - no problem. We coordinated with our florist who said he could arrange the flowers if the cake as long as the cake was delivered to the venue at 2:00 (ceremony started at 4:30). 2:00 comes around and no cake. I am getting my bridal hair and make up done, and needed to stop to call Sweet Confections. No answer. I called six times between 2:00 and 3:00 and left a voicemail. I didn't get a handful of "before ceremony" pictures done because I was dealing with trying to figure out the cake. My florist was amazing and ran out to buy us other cakes from the store to decorate so we have something. Finally, Sweet Confections drops off the cake after 3:30. I didn't speak with them, but my husband said they were unapologetic and said that we should have called them (even tho we tried six times). They were held up at a previous event which is out of their control, but they had all of my contact info. They could have called and said they were running late and we could have figured it out. But they just didn't even try. My florist was still there and was able to decorate the wedding cake delivered by Sweet Confections. The end product looked and tasted great, but that much added stress hours before the wedding and a $185 invoice from my florist for staying an extra hour and a half and to reimburse them for the back up cakes was so not worth it (happy to pay my florist for the time and the cake, but the issue could have been avoided with better communication from Sweet Confections). Sweet Confections never even reached out afterwards or responded to the voicemail I left basically in tears an hour and a half before my ceremony. If you are using live flowers on your cake or need it there more than an hour before the ceremony, look somewhere else.

Sweet Confections is simply the best!! Darmayne and her entire staff are wonderful people and easy to communicate with. We were looking for a very special wedding cake and she delivered! Darmayne took the time to explain everything during our cake testing and gave us a lot of peace of mind! The cake was both unique and delicious and all of our wedding guests were raving about it! She also either hand delivers it herself on the day of the wedding or has an immediate family member do it. This is a very personal touch, as we found out many places do not do this. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice to use Sweet Confections! The cake was amazing - the design was made to look like wood, and our guests (as well as the caterer!) couldn’t believe it wasn’t real wood! And the taste was incredible! They were a dream to work with - and this is coming from a bride who’s wedding had scheduling issues a few months from our big day due to COVID and everything being rescheduled. They were always easy to contact, prompt setting up, and made this portion of the wedding so much easier. Our experience with Sweet Confections was great from the start. Even when my fiance and I came into their shop unannounced, Darmayne took 45 minutes to discuss options with us! On the day of our event I was surprised at how perfect our cake actually was! It looked 100% like I pictured it would. Darmayne easily saw my vision and did a fantastic job making it come to life. Our cake tasted amazing and I was so happy that she could also do a dozen gluten free cupcakes for a couple guests with allergies. We can't wait to use Sweet Confections again for other celebrations in the future!

We wanted a fairly simple cake that tasted good, and Sweet Confections delivered! At the first meeting, they gave me a quote and answered all my questions without any pressure. They did layers of both chocolate and white cake for us with different filling options. They also delivered the cake to our venue for us, which was a huge stress relief! Our leftover cake didn’t go to waste because we enjoyed it for the next few days! We didn’t save the top layer, but may have to start a new tradition of getting another small cake from them in a year!

I couldn't have had a better experience. Everything about my wedding was a DISASTER. I wasn't able to have flowers as a result of false promises from a vendor. My wedding dress experience was awful. DO NOT GO TO MAPLEWOOD BRIDAL IN NJ! However when I came to Sweet Confections I felt so welcomed. The owner took her time to listen to my suggestions about the cake design. First she asked me what I was looking for when I came in. I explained to her, but after looking at their beautiful displays I fell in love with another design. She had already drawn a design, but after discussing other options, she drew a final design that I loved even more. My vision was physically on paper. When I went to pick up the cake, after all the disappointments that I went through the day of my wedding, let me tell you it was the literal icing on the cake. I was extremely excited and I 1000000% recommend coming here. It was extremely welcoming. The price of the cake was extremely reasonable, and the work was honestly priceless. The cake was tasty!! I specifically loved the raspberry filling and the pink champagne cake. However I ended up choosing red velvet and chocolate cakes with cookies and cream + chocolate filling. Let me tell you my guests LOVED it!!! The red velvet was a favorite but I unfortunately chose that as my top layer. I needed more! I send much love to everyone on the team at Sweet Confections!!!!!!

We decided to use cupcakes instead of a cake & it ended up being perfect. She dropped them off & made sure they looked beautiful on our table. Additionally, they tasted awesome & had perfect decorations. I'd recommend them to someone looking for a good cake/cupcakes!

Our wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous! We received so many compliments. We had a three tier cake. Three different flavors with filling. The smallest was vegan Lemon! So tasty! We met with the staff one time which took approximately 30 minutes at the most. They were quick and efficient! Their prices were better than all of the other bakeries we checked out in the area. I would HIGHLY recommend sweet confections and will use them again for not wedding events!

Since my wedding was held at the Best Western Central Hotel Harrisburg, the bill that I received was a lot cheaper than most wedding cakes. The cake was for our 25th Wedding Anniversary party which was very similar to a wedding reception. We had a 4 layer cake and 2 additional dummy layers to add height. Each layer was a different flavor cake and icing. Since we had fondant over the entire cake, we could have any flavor or color buttercream icing behind the fondant for each layer. The cake looked and tasted amazing. Even the fondant was delicious. Everyone at the party loved it. We also rented one of Sweet Confections' blinged out cake stands to display the cake. The cake and cake stand were worth every penny. I wish there was a way to upload a picture of the cake for you to view, it was gorgeous.

While I only tasted a bit of my own wedding cake at the wedding (and it was delicious!), I got rave reviews on the taste of the cake from the guests. It was simple, clean, and beautiful. We had a very positive experience communicating and planning with Sweet Confections. They were responsive and accommodating, and were truly the best priced cake I could find. Selecting the vendors for our wedding day was no easy task! I have worked with some of the best wedding vendors in Central PA and a few that are not so good. So when it came time for John and I to plan our own wedding we had a long list of vendors to consider. You could say I am extremely picky and quite opinionated; I have seen a lot of groom’s cakes but I have never seen an animal. I can't say enough about Sweet Confections Cakes! My husband and I got married last June and were looking for a tiered cake to feed 150-200 people. We looked into some other local bakeries and the cost was outrageous, even for a small tiered cake and then a large sheet cake feeding the majority of our guests. Thankfully, we found Sweet Confections. They were able to offer us a BEAUTIFUL four layer cake, big enough to feed ALL our guests, for significantly less than any other bakery we met with. While Sweet Confections was the affordable choice, we didn't compromise the quality of our cake AT ALL by working with them instead of the pricier competitors. In fact, our entire experience at Sweet Confections was so much better than at any other bakery we visited. We met directly with the owners, Darmayne and Robby, for our consultation. They were incredibly kind and helpful! Darmayne even sketched a blueprint of our cake right there on the spot, just by listening to me describe my vision. Oh, and the TASTE! Every flavor we tasted during our consultation was DELICIOUS! We knew we had found our baker. Our cake was the star of our wedding day! It looked exactly as we envisioned (Darmayne and Robby even coordinated with our florists, who decorated the cake with fresh flowers). Everyone raved about how delicious it was, and we heard from several different people that they went back for a second piece. Unfortunately, my husband and I never actually got to sit down and eat a piece of cake on our wedding day (except for the bite we shoved in each other's faces...but you barely taste that since everyone is watching you). So, at the request of our parents, Darmayne and Robby made us a small, one-tiered replica of our wedding cake for us to finally enjoy, and our parents surprised us with it at Christmas time! We will be going back to Sweet Confections anytime we need a cake in the Harrisburg area, and we're sending all our friends and family there too. Darmayne and Robby, thank you SO much!

Working with Sweet Confections is a delight and delicious too! Darmayne, the owner, works with you directly. We had a cake allowance from the hotel we were using for our reception and she helped us to stay on budget. I showed her a picture of our dream cake and they created it! They offer cake tastings on a regular basis, so my fiancée (at the time) and I attended one of them. You get to try different flavors of cake, filling and icing. All of the flavors are fabulous, so it was hard to decide. But she explained which types were included in our hotel package and kept us on budget. Darmayne works directly with my contact at the hotel to make sure the cake is delivered and positioned perfectly the day of the reception. I never had any stress about the cake. The day of the reception, when we saw the cake, we were amazed! it was so beautiful and just how we pictured it! And it was moist and delicious. The guests all loved it too. Thank you Sweet Confections for helping make the wedding cake of our dreams!

We are so happy with our decision to use Sweet Confections for our May wedding! They created an absolutely beautiful naked cake for our reception that was gluten free due to dietary restrictions in my family. No one could tell the difference! We got our wedding cake from Sweet Confections. Darmayne is lovely and great to work with. The cake was beautiful and all of our guests commented on how delicious it was. There was a little issue though, the fondant color used for base trim on every layer was supposed to be hot pink/fuchsia and it was orange. The lighting was dim so not too many people noticed that it didn't match the wedding colors, but I did. I will still recommend them, though because the cake was beautiful and delicious.

Not only was the cake design exactly like the Pinterest pic I showed her, but the owner stayed after delivery to help place the cake and add a few extra flowers the florist had brought along. Sweet Confections cares about their customers and they are delicious!

We used Sweet Confections for cupcakes at our wedding reception. We ordered the speciality cupcakes (which were a little more fitting expensive than the regular sized cupcakes), but so worth the extra cost! The cupcakes were delicious! Every time we stopped in the shop for an appt for the wedding, we had to buy and eat a cupcake! The owners are so sweet and so professional and pleasant to work with. We also ordered the cupcake display for our reception- which looked amazing! We are so glad we chose Sweet Confections!

Sweet Confections made our wedding cake even more beautiful than I imagined. I knew at the tasting that it was going to be delicious, but at that time I didn't have a clear vision of what I wanted. They worked with me to tease out a great design that worked within our budget and then executed it perfectly! They even hand-pipped lace details from my dress onto the cake! Our guests were raving about how tasty it was. I'm looking forward to our one year anniversary when my husband and I will get to enjoy the top layer.

I've had the pleasure of working with Darmayne and her team over the years as a catering sales manager and wedding coordinator so it was a no-brainer when it came time to pick for Our Day! Loved the cake from Sweet Confections for our May 28, 2016 wedding! The staff was great to work with and cake came out exactly like we wanted. I had a picture from Pinterest of a polka dot and stripe cake, and that's what we got! Not to mention the taste....delicious! I would definitely recommend them for any occasion

Sweet Confections went completely above and beyond for our July 2016 wedding! We sat down with the owners and went through the cake planning process about 8 months in advance, and they were just lovely to deal with. We were having a beach-themed wedding and I provided them with seashells, starfish, and a cake topper for the cake. I also rented what I thought was a basic cake stand. When we saw our cake at the reception, we were blown away! They took my ideas and ran with them. The cake stand was turned into a dock, complete with fish nets and sand. They did this completely on their own with no extra costs. I received SO many compliments on our cake - it was unbelievable! And, it tasted absolutely amazing! We had a lot of good vendors at our wedding, but Sweet Confections definitely came out on top. We'd HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!

We received rave reviews about the layout of our cake. We used the Park Inn Radisson and included in our price was a cake, from one of five vendors. Sweet Confections was the second place we taste tested and fell in love with the owners and their approach to us! The welcomed us in, let us taste a varied platter of cakes, icings, and fillings. They took our idea for the cake and modified it to fit with our wishes and within the guidelines from the Park Inn contract. The cake arrived promptly and was devoured that night!

I should start by saying Sweet confections makes the most delicious cakes! They are wonderful to work with to design the cake our your dreams. Our cake exceeded all of our expectations. The guests continue to talk about how great the cake tasted and how perfectly it fit the wedding theme. The bakery also created spot on 3D models of our dogs from photos to add to the cake. I would highly recommend Sweet confections for any event... especially a wedding.

I was so happy with the service and flexibility of Sweet Confections. I actually contacted them a few months prior to my big day. Darmayne was able to work within my budget and still provide a stunning cake. It was so delicious as well. I would def recommend.

My cake tasted good! Although there was a lot of miscommunication between myself and the person in charge. It was very hard to hear through the phone and no one seemed to have been speaking clearly into it. When it came time to paying and when things were due, I was told one date in person and then another one entirely later that claimed I was late on a payment. It was just frustrating to think that things weren't clear. My cake was delicious and I loved it but the other stuff I wasn't too happy about. It added onto stress that I didn't need.

My husband and I discovered this little bakery, tucked away off the beaten path, in the Harrisburg area. 5 seconds into our first bite of the cake tasting we knew we found our baker. If we lived closer, Darmayne would become our family baker, but we live down in Raleigh, NC so we will have to savor the cakes, cup cakes, etc. when we go North to visit family. Timely delivery service, beautiful design, wonderful customer service, incredible taste (cake and icing!) I can not say enough good things about this bakery.

We could could not be happier with Sweet Confections. We tried several other bakeries and they do not come close to the Sweet Confections. Sweet Confections helped make our wedding day perfect. We have found a favorite bakery and will continue to use their service for every occasion we can and stop in to purchase cupcakes as well. Darmayne and her staff at Sweet Confections were absolutely wonderful! From the tasting to the day of, everything went off simply and without a hitch! Darmayne's cakes are stunning and delicious! She has amazing talent with her artistic design and her husband & her make an amazing team. It is truly a family business and they care about every customer. Our cake was beautiful, the cupcakes were delicious and everything was flawless. My only complaint was that I didn't get to eat any of my cake once the caterer took it to cut it in slices! Totally a bummer because the strawberry swirl with strawberry icing is to die for!! My husband runs a hotel and Sweet Confections is there almost every weekend. I've never heard a single complaint (unliked other certain popular bakeries in PA) I recommend Sweet Confections to everyone!

Sweet Confection Cakes are the BEST! We sampled numerous cakes from various bakeries/vendors and chose Sweet Confections for their flavor and design. My daughter showed Darmayne a picture from a magazine & she duplicated it perfectly! It was a 3D, hand made lace fondant that had to be placed piece by piece on the cake. It was BEAUTIFUL. We also had her design a groom's cake - LOVED IT - Red Velvet - DELICIOUS!! I have referred numerous brides to Sweet Confection Cakes and they have not been disappointed. Darmayne is an artist, professional and very easy to work with. She knows the business and is very helpful in assisting with suggestions and ideas.

My husband and I have said that choosing Sweet Confections Cakes for our wedding cake was one of the best decisions we made about the wedding! We got married at the Park Inn in Mechanicsburg, PA and they work with Sweet Confections for the cakes. We are so glad we got the chance to work with Darmayne! During our meeting with her we brought our invitation, and she made our beautiful and intricate design come to life on the cake. Not only did it look beautiful, but it is by far the best cake we both have ever eaten! We received much praise for the night and were thankful to get the leftover cake to give to our famiiles as well as keep some for ourselves to eat for a week and a half after the wedding (completely worth it). Since the top tier was huge, we decided to cut some of it off to enjoy some more after the wedding and freeze the rest for our 1 year anniversary. I also worked with Sweet Confections in a grooms cake that I brought as a gift to my husband to the rehearsal dinner. With just 2 ideas, they made the cake beautifully and it also tasted wonderful! I will now go to Sweet Confections for cakes in the future!

Sweet Confections created my exquisite wedding cake, as well as a 3-D groom's cake of my boxer dog for the rehearsal dinner. Darmayne was a pleasure to work with from day 1 when I met her at her shop. She was patient with me as I went back and forth trying to decide on cake flavor and decorative design. She was open and responsive to all of my decorative ideas and listened to the details of my cake vision carefully, which she replicated perfectly for me on my wedding day. My wedding cake was everything I dreamed it would be and more! In addition to being visually appealing, the wedding cake tasted amazing! I chose the pink champagne and white almond cake...both beyond delicious (I also chose red velvet for the groom's cake, which was very delicious, as well)! I would highly recommend Sweet Confections to any bride, as you will experience high quality service, reasonable pricing and a deliciously tasting wedding cake!

They did a surprise groomscake for my wedding. I asked for an XBox with a controller and some of my husband's favorite games. I gave them photo copies of the games. It looked GREAT! I was so happy and my groom LOVED it! Also, when I visited the shop, I wanted to taste some flavors and get advice on what flavor to go with. The staff at the shop was super helpful and led me to a delish white chocolate pound cake with lemon icing...YUMM!

When we met with the owner, she provided many different types of cakes, fillings, frostings, etc...great selection! We showed her a picture of the cake we wanted and she did a beautiful job replicating it while adding her own personal touch! They were very easy to work with, very accommodating, and made a beautiful cake that tasted great too!

We found this cake company at a wedding expo. We decided that this cake tasted the best that we had tried (we had a pink champagne wedding cake). To our pleasant surprise, not only was the cake delicious, but Darmayne was absolutely wonderful to work with. She cared so much about going over details with us and making sure we got exactly what we wanted. The cake arrived to our venue looking perfect and tasting even better! Will definitely do business with this company again.

The whole experience of this was great! Darmaine and her husband were wonderful. I had a pink champagne cake and it was definitely a hit at the wedding! Everyone couldn't get enough of it, needless to say I had no cake left except for my 1 year anniversary top. The cake was done to perfection without one flaw that I could see. It was exactly what I wanted and if I ever need anything again they will be the first to call!!

From the moment we entered the shop, we felt like Darmayne was a long lost friend! She spent over an hour talking with us, and sketched our cake according to what we liked.
