Sweet Dreams Bakery - Orchard Lake Store

I am from West Bloomfield so when I met this vendor at a bridal show, I knew this was where I would get my cake from. I ended up going directly to their Warren store to see all of the cake stands and get a better idea of what they can make. I recommend it. I worked with Narin, who was kind, cheerful and a great help. I came to her a month before my wedding and she made it happen for me! I was very pleased with the design of my cake and the size. She was able to make it the height that I requested.

They did an excellent job with our wedding cake. We had a naked cake, one with no outer frosting, covered in fresh fruits. They did an excellent job with it in both presentation and taste . We took in a photo of what we wanted and they delivered perfectly. It tasted amazing!!!

The cake was beautiful and I want to give 5 stars just for that. However, communicating with them was a little hard. I still am very glad I used them. Just make sure you are very clear with what you want and you may have to tell them a few times.

Beautiful! Just as I wanted. They did a great job with the look of the cake, the colors and it tasted fantasic!

We used sweet dreams for a delicious white and dark chocolate mousse cake for ourselves, and small mini cakes and treats for our guests (270 guests) including little chocolate mousse cakes and mini cheese cakes! It was a hit with our guests, and having multiple flavors allowed everyone to get what they wanted. The table was emptied out! They were very accommodating with tastings, delivery, and display was great. Loved seeing all our guests with their plates full of colorful tasty treats and would recommend this vendor. :)

So good!! Very helpful with picking everything out! They did our shower came as well and delivered it for us. Everyone loves the cake! It was so good and looked awesome! It was exactly what I wanted! I didn't want to cut it! I love how they said on our one year Annaversay they will re create an excact form of our cake for us so it is fresh for our one year. We can't wait!

We didn't order a cake per se, but we ordered little mini wedding cake pastries and everyone raved about how yummy they were!

Sweet Dreams is an absolutely wonderful bakery to work with. The cake was so fresh and so light and tasty. Everyone said it was the best cake they had ever had. The staff is very accommodating to the bride. I changed the design on the cake at least 3 times and they were always wonderful and understanding. I highly recommend using Sweet Dreams for any wedding cake or any cake in general.

We worked with Narin during our cake tasting. She was professional, friendly, and did great to listen to our wants and design a cake that fit our vision. We chose a 3-tier cake and were able to choose a flavor for each tier. The only hiccup we ran into was the cake being delivered the day of the wedding. We were told the cake would be delivered no later than 4:30 (an hour before our reception began) and it wasn't being delivered until we were arriving (5:30). The individual who delivered the cake was rude and treated my mother like she had no right to complain about the time the cake was being delivered. The cake the day of the wedding tasted as great as the day of the tasting. It was very moist and very flavorful.

My cake was absolutely beautiful and was delicious! Sweet Dreams really came up with different options to get me what I wanted within my budget.

Our desert table was awesome. The mini pastries were better than any desert we have ever had and were super unique. I've lucked out finding them at the bridal show. On our first visit the owner gave us a tour of the bakery and a bunch of samples. We were never rushed and were treated like we were the only wedding that day!!

I love this place! I have been a customer for a very long time. I get all of my sweets from here for every occasion!

I used the Sweet Dreams in West Bloomfield for my wedding cake and desserts. I knew that I didn't want a big wedding cake, so my husband and i chose one of their everyday cakes, and they adjusted it so that we could put our topper on! Then we chose 250 of the bite sized desserts for our guests. Everything was amazing, the desserts were moist and fresh and everyone loved them! Great value and no cake cutting fee!

The cake tasted and looked great! The only issue we had was that they forgot to bring the cake stand that we prepaid to rent. Thankfully, they refunded the money for the stand.

They did a beautiful job on my cake, and it was so yummy. The employees were also very nice and helpful!

The staff is very helpful in selecting the cake that suits you best. They will work with you on ways to save money and still have the look you want. They provide samples of fillings and allow you to have different fillings in each tier.

I first ran into these fine pastry shop at the bridal show at the palace in Aubur Hills early January and I knew they were the one. However I kept their bouchre as it had discounts on cakes if you booked before a certain date. Their cakes are BEAUTIFUL and expensive, besides being very tasty. I purchased a cake called French Couture for 180, and I only had @110 at the reception but I took the small top for us to keep. There was not alot of cake left and I also purchased @110 individal different pastries of assorted flovors and most of them were gone. They are, in my opinion the wedding cake epecialist as I have worked in 5 star restaurants before. Beautiful, elegant, tasty, on the expensive side so get your brouchre at the shows. Sweet Dreams made me a beautiful heart shaped wedding cake for a great price,and it was delicious! We had none left after the wedding!

Unfortunately my groom and I didn't get a chance to eat our cake at our wedding, but I remember it being really good at the tasting. We heard really good things though about the cake so I'm sure it was fantastic. The ladies at the store were decently friendly, and even gave us a refund when we told them that we had less people and needed one less tier. We also got a great price on our cake as it was half off per person ($2.50 instead of $5). You can't beat that deal for the quality anywhere! They at times seemed rushed, but probably only because their cakes and pastries are so good that they are always really busy!

My wedding cake was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! I loved it, as did all of my guests. It tasted wonderful and looked gorgeous.

I first heard of Sweet Dreams through a bridal show my bridesmaids and I attended at the Palace. There were so many vendors there and yet their line was the longest for cake samples. The cake tasted amazing,not to mention they had a special for attendees. They were very accommodating and offered to assist in finding a brooch when I had a hard time finding one. They were on time and I received many compliments of how beautiful it was and how good it tasted.

the cake was great, they let us select two flavors for our three tiered cake. I've been shopping here for over 10 years, so I knew I was getting a great cake. I didn't care for the color of the fondant, was a little brownish.

Not only was the cake SO good, it was decorated to perfection. I got a really good deal (look for them, they have them every week). I would def. recommend to a friend!

This bakery specializes in cakes and pastries with mousse fillings. Their specialty is their wedding cakes, and I completely understood why!! My wedding cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious!! My guests said the same thing and asked where we got it from! Note: They do not handle fresh flowers. They will handle any other decor (ribbons, cake toppers, etc.) if provided. If you want fresh flowers on your wedding cake, you will have to arrange this with your florist or ask Sweet Dreams to make them out of fondant!

Great tasting cake and incredible price since we chose the cake of the month which came undecoraged but we chose to decorate it with our own flowers. It had buttercream and hard icing. No complaints whatsoever and I'd definitely recommend this vendor!.

Cake was not high on our list - but we got exactly what we ordered, and no complaints. Service was easy and exactly as promised.

The cake was not only a perfect design for our wedding, but tasted wonderful as well. We would definately recommend them for your wedding. They also run specials that change frequently and if you place an order and then see something you'd like better, you can change your order without a problem.

I ordered a cake for my wedding at the last moment and it was delivered and decorated exactly like the picture. The price was well above being affordable and it tasted so good. I can't wait to eat the part we froze on our one year anniversary. The staff was very helpful and I was able to walk in right off the street and try samples. No need for an appointment which worked much better with my schedule.

My cake tasted fantastic and turned out exactly how I wanted it. We were able to taste 7 different cake flavors prior to choosing 2 for our cake. It was awesome!

The cake was wonderful. Me and my husband are not even big cake people, but we both loved our cake. Everyone kept commenting on how full they were from dinner but they had to eat their cake because it was so delicious!

I had a very small wedding and had a hard time finding someone to make a smaller cake for me, but the were very helpful and affordable. However, although I got a great deal on the cake, they charge for delivery was absolutely outrageous and almost had me considering for a family member to pick. Also, when the cake arrived, the top of it was missing frosting and was destroyed, luckily I had a cake topper to cover it up. I will probably never use them again for a cake.

Sweet Dreams cakes and sweets are AWESOME! I ordered my cake online and it was delivered on time, even when I had a venue switch. Delicious! This is my "go-to" place for desserts! Check their website for specials!

We loved our Wedding cake - it was exactly what we wanted, and we were able to get a good deal on it because there was a special going on. The sales person was very helpful too - she gave us options (like using 1 or 2 sheet cakes) to save costs.

We wanted lots of different flavors and we got it - we had four layers and each one was a different cake/filling combination. The cake was beautiful and it tasted amazing - even the top layer tasted great when we unfroze and ate it 8 months later. It was also ridiculously cheap for what we got. We would have gone with them on taste alone but they were also the very best price we found.;They were a tad difficult about our design. We picked what was traditionally an all white flower design, but we wanted the flowers on the cake to match the red roses in my bouquet - they weren't too keen on doing the flowers in color - they didn't think it would look right - but ultimately they did it and it looked great. Honestly though - it was well worth the hassle for the price and the amazing flavour.

Sweet Dreams gave me a full refund after I provided the owner with pictures of how horrible my cake looked. There was no explanation for their unprofessionalism.;My cake was the wrong colors. It was leaning so bad, that I thought it was going to fall over. The wooden dowel that supports the middle was coming out the top of the cake. I cried when I saw how awful my cake looked. I was completely embarrassed that i made the reception hall take it to the back and cut it before my guests arrived

;They said we could use our own pillars. The day before the wedding I received a call telling me I had to use their pillars and I had to give them a credit card payment right then and there. I was getting my nails done. It was very inconvenient. I dropped our pillars off a month before the wedding. They waited until the day before to tell me they couldn't use my pillars. The reason for using my own pillars was so I wouldn't have to worry about dropping them off after the wedding. I had to make a special trip to drop them off before we left for our honeymoon. Not the least bit convenient.

The bakery was recommended to me from a friend of mine because she said their cakes and desserts are delicious. And she was right!!!! The cake was FABULOUS! Even though they usually require a 2 month notice to make a wedding cake they were able to make mine with a 1 month notice.

I was able to place my order on short notice. i don't know if he does that regularly, but because he is a friend of my dad's he accepted my tardiness.;He has a limited amount of designs he will do...so don't go to him if you want your own thing done with your cakes.

It was exactly what I asked for. Flavor was excellent. They give you a brand new cake on you one year anniversary to eat!

They had chiffon cake with the mousse and fresh strawberries at no extra cost. The cake I had was the month's special so I got it for $2/slice. Plus it was delicious!!

Excellent tasting cake. The design was beautiful too....best bakery in this area...order the dessert tables from there too...they are incredible.
