display are beautiful, and it smells nice in there. I contacted them about doing a tasting at the beginning of December and they responded saying they’re booked until January, but were available for tastings from 12-5 on January 15th and 16th. I confirmed 12 on the 15th, and they responded “perfect, see you then!” On January 15th my fiancé and I showed up for our tasting and the girl at the counter said “oh, are you (insert name here)?” And we said no, and she started going through the list in the book for that day. We weren’t in there and she then told us “Well we never schedule tastings during the ice festival, we wouldn’t have scheduled today.” And I showed the email. She said we could reschedule. We decided not to reschedule because if you can’t get our tasting written down in your schedule, how do I know you’ll get our cake done for our wedding day? I also don’t appreciate that there were obviously other people on the schedule for the day and were then told that nobody gets scheduled that day. What a strange lie. There wasn’t even an apology, the girl at the counter didn’t seem to care about the mistake, but said she probably was the one who did it. I guess it’s good she didn’t blame someone else, but it didn’t help anything on our end.
