A little late with this review.
Our wedding was 04/20/2022 on Anini Beach Kauai, Hawaii.
I have recommended Sweet Hawaiian Weddings to quite few people since our wedding and will continue to do so.
Reverend Kaho Coco was the best from the get go. His guidance, expertise and experience was without a doubt exactly what we needed to plan our elopement from Oregon.
He guided us in applying for our marriage license online and gave us the names of 3 registrars to schedule an appointment to pick up the physical paperwork.
Our wedding was both beautiful and sacred. From blowing the conch shell to blessing our rings to exchanging our leis, to exchanging our vows in both English and in Hawaiian.
He exceeded our expectations.
Again, I would highly recommend Sweet Hawaiian Weddings.
Jacqueline and Coco were absolutely amazing! They were flexible and extremely easy to work with. From the beach location, to the flowers, to the traditional Hawaiian wedding, Jacqueline made sure everything was just perfect. Our photography was more than we could have ever hoped for. They helped orchestrate the license pick up on Prince Kuhio day (who knew we were getting married on a Hawaiian holiday). Everything was perfect! And we were fortunate enough to have an endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal decide to be the honored guest at our wedding. Stuff dreams are made of!
We loved working with Sweet Hawaii Wedding! They helped us put together a very relaxed and stress-free elopement ceremony - we basically only had to apply for a pick up our marriage certificate, and then just show up at the ceremony location! Very friendly and professional small, local business, and I would recommend them to anyone for an elopement or destination wedding!
Mahalo nui loa to Jacqueline and staff! I could not have asked for a more magical day. They went above and beyond to exceed expectations on our Makapu’u vow renewal. It was truly the highlight of our HI trip and the amazing photos and video will provide beautiful memories forever. It was no stress and absolutely everything I wanted. We just showed up and celebrated. Jacqueline really went above and beyond to make the day special. I would recommend Sweet Hawaii without any hesitation!
Everything turned out perfect for our special day. The ceremony was beautifully done . Photography was amazing and we got the best pictures!
My husband and I flew to Oahu for our 25 year renewal of vows. I found Jacqueline & Coco with Sweet Hawaii Wedding online. I contacted them via email and received a prompt response back. It was smooth planning from that moment on. Their website was easy to navigate, so I reviewed the options & chose what we wanted. Once we arrived to Hawaii, we met with them in person to solidify the beach location and details. They are such delightful, kind people who truly want to get to know you & your spouse. The company is professional & accommodating. As I type this in my loft at home, I am surrounded by framed photos from that special day. It has been one of the BEST days of our lives. You can't go wrong with this company if you want a personalized & professional service.
My husband and I were so happy choosing Sweet Hawaii Wedding. It was just my husband, our son and myself. Beautiful location! Our vow renewal ceremony was short and sweet and carried out with respect and beautiful Hawaiian traditions. Flowers were gorgeous. Coco and Jaqueline were attentive and so kind. Photographer took beautiful pictures at sunset. We would recommend Sweet Hawaii weddding. Thanks for making our day so special.
Simply amazing !! That's the only way to describe our Vow renewal.
Sweet Hawaii weddings done an amazing job. From start to finish,
nothing was a hassle to do. The day is made about you.
From the fresh lei's to the beautiful Hawaiian Vows, sets for a beautiful ceremony. The minister was really nice. The ukulele was a nice touch.
Definitely recommend sweet Hawaii weddings
The photo's taken by the photographer are amazing. Many different poses to capture the moment.
Don't hesitate. Just choose sweet Hawaii weddings.
Could not have asked for a better service. Was somewhat concerned about purchasing services online however Coco more than delivered and made the ceremony very personable.
We could not be happier with our experience working with Jacqueline and Coco. They made things so easy and stress free leading up to the big day. Our ceremony was more than we had imagined it would be. I felt they really took the time to understand us as a couple and it was reflected in all aspects. I would recommend Sweet Hawaii Weddings to anyone wanting a destination wedding.
Jacqueline & Coco made our wedding the most special day! We decided to get married just the two of us & it was perfect. From our easy going consultations to their professionalism and personal touches they add to everything- I could not have asked to work with a better company. They handle everything for you & out of all the different wedding planners, photographers, etc. what they offer is an unbeatable deal. Our pictures turned out beautifully, Dustin got great candid shots & also made sure we were comfortable with the posed pictures. We had a beautiful heart made of flowers to stand in, a delicious coconut cake, and a special dance to Ukelele music, just to mention a few highlights. I didn't know a wedding could be so stress-free and magical. I highly, highly recommend Sweet Hawaii Wedding! They are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet & they truly care that you have a day that's special & filled with love.
Colin and Jacqueline created a memorably lovely wedding for my daughter and son-in-law on a lovely Hawaiian beach. The setting was enhanced with decorative flowers, an arch, and harp music. The moment was expertly captured on film at the beach and as we traveled with Colin and Jacqueline to sites around Oahu. The evening reception included an elegant dinner in the courtyard of a beach home. Every detail in the day was perfectly organized and executed. I highly recommend Sweet Hawaii Wedding!
I can't describe in words how amazing our experience was with Jacqueline, her husband, our photographer, my hair/makeup stylist & our reverend! I've never met anyone like Jacqueline and will never forget her or Sweet Hawaii Weddings :) We found out through our experience that Californians are a bit high strung, anxious and we are NOT on Hawaii time! Jacqueline walked us into her gorgeous fairytale-like atrium entry way where we saw the most amazing tree we'd ever seen. The inside of the home reminded me of something I'd read about in books as a kid and I didn't want to leave. Jacqueline treated us with Belgian chocolates and mini cheesecakes while we sat on the back porch overlooking the ocean and we browsed wedding albums and discussed our plans. We chose Waimanalo Beach as our destination for our small ceremony (wouldn't have it any other way) and WOW, what a dream! Our reverend must have read my mind when he started singing over the rainbow ;) Our photos are amazing so many different poses and the quality is top notch and captured our memories so perfectly. I promise Jacqueline I'd keep in touch after telling her she was one of the most amazing and people who'd ever touched my soul in my entire life. I highly recommend Sweet Hawaii Weddings but not to anyone that is the typical rude customer or bridezilla that we frequently find in our world. Jacqueline and the crew deserve to have the best customers and in turn will treat them like the kings and queens they are!
Absolutely the best time I ever had in my life! The wedding planning meeting location was something out of Swiss family Robinson. The wedding spot was a white sand beach, was secluded and picturesque like being in romantic movie. My ceremony very sincere, caring and touching, we both cried. My pictures WOW and he took so many extra and still asked if we wanted more. The limo driver so kind and we brought champagne for the drive. Flowers fresh, bright and fragrant. A Professional and extra loving family business. Generous with everything we wanted and more. From the very beginning to the end this was the experience of our life time! Our entire time with Sweet Hawaii is a memory Larry and I will always cherish! If you are looking for a creative Hawaiian style wedding that is unique from beginning to end this is the company! Dorothy and Larry Riley
Having our wedding with Sweet Hawaii wedding was more than Sweet! It was a divine experience from beginning to end! I had called many wedding companies and they all sounded so rushed and without heart. When I reached Jacqueline at Sweet Hawaii she was thoughtful, kind, professional and understanding of all my questions. I knew I had found the right place for us and I booked with them right away.
4 months later was my coordination meeting. Reverend Coco and Jacqueline met us at their tree house. I couldn't believe the setting was right out of a real life fairytale. Their tree house has an amazing stream running underneath it and a really big waterfall. Was this real life or was it a dream. We took so many pictures to add to our wedding memories. We had such a wonderful time just at our meeting! I am still amazed a place like this exists. To make it better the meeting was only a few minutes from where we got our marriage license.
Now for the wedding. These creative people are the most professional yet the most fun loving and generous people you can imagine. When we arrived we were met at our limo by the photographer, musician and my bouquet which was way over the top! We were serenaded down to the beach where my amazing set up was picture perfect. With many beautiful extras I had not ordered.
Reverend Coco's Hawaiian ceremony was filled with tons of heart and very personal, not at all rigid.
This is why we came to Hawaii, this company is so Hawaii Style.

Seriously, as good as it gets!! Jacqueline and Reverend Coco searched through their years of wedding archives to find our wedding photos which were destroyed by hurricane Sandy 4 months after we were married. We didn't even have a change to make our wedding album. I was beyond grateful that they were able to send me additional copies of all the pictures taken, and i could finally create my wedding album. Reverend Coco and Jacqueline are the most detail oriented warm hearted wedding planners in Oahu- hands down. Jacqueline and Reverend Coco are very professional, loving, and personal. It truly shows that they too love what they do. When I first was planning my wedding I called so many vendors in Oahu and SHW responded with courtesy and understanding to all my 1000 questions. They are Sweet just like their name! Everything I had asked for they happily accommodated and went above and beyond. They encouraged us to go to various wedding locations before finally deciding on Waialae Beach. They wanted us to feel first hand the energy of the different places. The ceremony was so romantic and much more personal than I had ever dreamed it could be. So much heart and love. We had a meeting with them before the wedding and this made our wedding so personal. They took time to get to know us and helped us with every single details. The hand-made lei's were fresh and made to perfection and smelled delicious. They turned the wedding of our dreams into a reality and we couldn't have been happier. Thanks Sweet Hawaii Wedding for making the entire process so much fun. We are so thankful for the safe keeping of our wedding photos after all these years. I would highly recommend Sweet Wedding Hawaii to anyone that is getting married in Oahu. Their professional attention to detail, their kindness and general love for what they do can not be matched by any other wedding planners.
They are fondly remembered with endless love from NY. ~ Barrie and Chris
First, the good: The wedding was beautiful! Jacqueline and Coco made our wedding hassle free which meant a lot me me since I was deployed while planning my wedding. The duo made sure everything I wanted was in place from having in-room hair and makeup for myself and my MOH, to having a harpist there on the beach on up to the details of my sunset/candlelit Goddess of the Twilight Ceremony! I loved it! Now the bad: On my wedding day the limo driver was late picking us up because Jacqueline gave the driver the wrong hotel location. This was an issue because I had a sunset wedding and we were working again the sunset and elements. I informed Jacqueline and Coco that I would be moving off-island within days of my wedding and any additional wedding items that I'd paid for would need to be mailed to me. It took over two months and MANY emails finally receive my wedding DVD (my wedding was on 26 August; its 14 November and I received my DVD today after a series of angry emails) and turns out the DVD took so long to be delivered because they mis-addressed it and put the wrong name on it THREE times despite me sending over the correct information multiple times. Furthermore, I did not receive everything I paid for with the wedding package and after spending $4K on the wedding I was not pleased. I did not receive any of the keepsake items that were detailed in my wedding contract such as a keepsake copy of my vows, keepsake copy of my marriage certificate, the crystal flutes or any of the other keepsakes. The wedding was beautiful but beyond that and in a business sense things were unorganized. I would recommend them for vow renewals but not necessarily a first-time wedding.
From the time my fiancé proposed to me I have kept an eye out for wedding vendors in Honolulu, Hawaii since that's where I said "yes" and out off all the places I have called and researched, this company has been the far best most helpful, cheapest and accommodating venue for me and my fiancé. I'm so happy and thrilled with them and cannot wait for the big day and marry my best friend.
I don't have one negative thing to say about Jacqueline or Coco. This wedding was beyond my wildest dreams (and I'm a pretty big dreamer!!) I honestly did a lot of research for our destination wedding and I found sweet hawaii to be the cheapest on the island, when I saw they had good reviews I decided to book them. Best decision I made. James (the book keeper) answered so many of my questions and he had to bare with me changing ideas quite often. When we got there Jacqueline welcomed me to her house like we were her family. It says on their website that they welcome you as family , and they mean that literally. They are there to help you anyway they can on the island. I expected the wedding planner to be hyper organized and cold, but Jacqueline was warm, artistic, and radiated kindness.
Now, we ordered cake, flowers, a hair:makeup girl, a masseuse, and photographer. Being a destination wedding, I was terrified that the photographer and makeup artist would be subpar. I was very stressed about this. The makeup artist did better than I imagined.
She made me look like a celebrity. I looked her up online later and saw she had an insanely impressive résumé as a beautician. Doing big names and
Groups in hawaii. The photographer was amazing!!!! It is very obvious that Dustin is a seasoned photographer. If I had known how good he was I would have ordered more time with him. My husband said the masseuse was amazing. The cake was beautiful and I had no idea what to pic for flowers.
Jacqueline looked at my outfit and picked the best bouquet for me. The wedding itself was perfect. Coco's ceremony was beautiful. The story he told touched my husband. I have never strongly recommended a company before, but if you are looking at destination weddings, stop looking and book with them. You won't regret it!
I never write reviews but the service for my wedding was way over the top! Dustin our photographer took so many unique and beautiful pictures! He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera which is difficult because I am camera shy. The organization of every detail was perfect. Our minister actually sang me down the beach. My flowers were gorgeous. I must say the love we felt from this entire Sweet Hawaii group was so comforting. I am posting pictures on their face book page. We are so happy we found this company
WE were married by Sweet Hawaii Wedding on January 1, 20014. Everything was gorgeous! The flowers, the setup on the beach, the beach itself was pristine! Ask for Waimanalo! Jacqueline and Rev. More were so wonderful, they kept all of the vendors organized. I had a musician, a hula dancer, hair and make-up, a flower pathway and arch (wow was it lovely) and a stretch limo. My entire wedding was stress free. They really cared!! We had a pre-wedding meeting at their beach home where all of the details were gone over and we received an itinerary. Don't miss the meeting because that is where you get to choose your colors and express your own ideas. We were treated so well and they are truly a Sweet company! Was so pleased with their entire team of vendors!! All talented and kind people!!
When I first send in my papers to plan are wedding in Hawaii I never heard back from Sweet Hawaii Wedding and I gave them about 2 weeks before I called. when I called the first thing they said was they didn’t call me because the time I had put on the paper didn’t work for them and to me I would think they could call you atleast let you know and maybe work out another day or time. So since I had them on the phone I had asked them if there was another time on the day that we wanted to get married and they said they could work us in at a later time. Before we got to Hawaii I had send email and also called multiple times and never got a response back I understand they are busy but that something they should maybe work on and they had told us when I first talked to them that they would call and a day before the wedding we still have not heard anything from them so we ended up calling them and finally getting a hold of them to make sure they still had us down for are wedding. The day of the wedding I hired there hair stylist and she was great she did a great job on my hair only thing is they offer hair and make up but I only paid for hair and she thought she was doing both and I told her I only paid for hair not make-up and so you can tell they don’t communicate to good there. As we got closer to the time we showed up hour early to take a few pictures and we had picked to get married on Waialae Beach to let everyone know the park is really small and from looking at pictures online I knew we weren’t in the right place and after walking around the hole place we figure out there is a path you have to take to get on the other side where they do the wedding and once we figured that out we were set to go and Sweet Hawaii Wedding was still setting up. The ceremony it self was really good it was a lot more then I expected just a few things I had asked to have a flower heart on the ground that we stand in and they ended up doing a circle and also they say you get Champaign and also get to keep the glasses well we ended up just getting sparkling apple cider and the glasses are like Wal-Mart brand I think they could at least get real Champaign and a lot nicer glasses since you do pay them a lot. And the photo guy was great I wish he had done a lot more different pictures then a lot of the same but I was happy that we got all the pictures on a cd that I am able to get off the cd and print out whatever ones I want. So all in all it was a great day just a few things they could work on mainthing is communication.
Rev. Colin and his wife were great. Very relaxed. They made our wedding come together perfectly.
Jackie and Rev Colin were outstanding. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I had no stress and they handled all the arrangements all we had to do was show up. Thank you again Sweet hawaii weddings
Wonderful people, great experience! Couldn't have asked for a better day.
They were nice and had some good ideas; They were disorganized.
