Lori was so amazing to work with and her cake is DELICIOUS! We received so many compliments from our wedding guests on the cake. Lori is very communicative and both she and her husband were so fun and helpful when we did our tasting. Choosing flavors was a very tough choice!! We could not have been happier with our wedding cake and would highly recommend Lori to anyone in need of a cake for a wedding or any other occasion!

This cake was everything I could have dreamed of and more. I am not a fan of cake , but my husband is however cake tasting was my favorite part of tasting and they bought our vision to life as it relates to our cake. Lori and Calvin were so personable and sweet. My husband and I connected with them instantly during our tasting. The combination of the amazing samples, fillings, and laughter immediately made me cancel my upcoming tastings with other bakeries. The cake was both beautiful and DELECTABLE!!! Every single tier! It was a hit with our guests. We had intended to save our top tier, but it was taking up too much room in the freezer. So we decided to only save a few slices to eat on our anniversary (we're sentimental like that). Per our request, Lori blessed us with an anniversary top tier which was equally as scrumptious as the original. We ended up traveling and having an accident with the anniversary tier and Lori saved us by providing another cake. Thanks again Lori! The cakes from Sweet It Is are as flavorful as they are exquisite. Yet, they won't nickel and dime you. In fact, Lori is quick to offer insight on where you can save on your cake design. Our wedding cake from Sweet It Is was PERFECT!! The cake was beautiful and flawless, and it was so delicious! I had guests messaging and texting me days later asking for their information, or if I had any cake left. One cousin told me she wants to be there when we cut our top tier on our 1 year anniversary! The cake was moist, not too sweet, and just all around perfect. I really do wish we would have packed some to go.

I cannot say enough great things about this bakery. We hired Lori to bake our wedding cake and from the 1st meeting to the day of our wedding Lori was always there to answer any questions that we had. I can't say enough great things about Lori and Calvin at Sweet It Is! They were so fun to work with, from our first meeting to the cake delivered safely and beautifully at our venue. I eat gluten-free, and we made sure to incorporate that into the wedding cake, and it came out delicious!

Lori & Calvin are amazing at what they do. They made the best groom cake (a true surprise, with a UNC Chapel Hill jersey for my UNC now-Husband Alum) that was the talk of the rehearsal dinner! Our wedding cake was a dream as well, the flavors were a hit and the design was incredible. I can't recommend them enough! Best cake in the Charlotte area! It was more expensive than some of the others but it was much better than regular wedding cake, so it was worth it to us. We had a four layer cake covered in chocolate. She has lots of flavors and made me peanut butter icing at the tasting, which went perfect with all the chocolate. Also I'm not big into strawberry but the strawberry icing was so good we got a layer with that in it too.

When entering the home of Lori and Sweet it is! Bakery, it smelled liked a sugar factory. Their warm welcome was received and felt just as sweet. They were professional and confident to show us their options for my July wedding. After leaving them I immediately knew where I would be getting my wedding cake from. The cake variety was awesome and the taste was even better, paired with such an array of frostings to match. I have no doubts that my wedding day will truly be enhanced just because of their confectionary creation. Check them out today!

Delicious cakes!!!! Their set up was beautiful and they were so easy to work with. Their flavors and icing options were on point! The strawberry lemonade was our favorite and a hit at our wedding!!! Highly recommend!!!

I met Mrs. Lori and her husband at a bridal show and tasted the cake with my Mom and Stepmother. The cake was so good we went back to get samples about 4 times LOL. This was my first bridal show and we could not stop talking about the cake. Before we left, we book Sweet It Is for our wedding without hesitation. I didn't have time to run it by my FH because I didn't want her to get booked. My FH and I later went to do our cake tasting and he was so excited about the cake and was glad I made that choice. We had a 4 layer naked cake and it was a hit! Each layer consisted of a different flavor. Our guest wanted more and after the wedding wanted to know if she would ship cake! It's just that good! Sweet it Is made the cake process easy along with online payments! I would highly recommend this professional team.

The most delicious/ beautiful cakes ever! We had such a great experience with Lori. She made everything so simple for us. She is very professional and was so willing to go above and beyond to meet our needs. I will be going to her with any future cake needs!! Highly recommended!

Our cake for our renewal was perfect! We got so many compliments on the TASTE. We had amaretto on the bottom tier and butterscotch cake on the middle and our guests couldn’t stop talking about the cake!

Working with Sweet It Is has been amazing. They were there at the beginning of my Wife and I relationship making cupcakes for her birthday and other events so it was an obvious choice to have them do our wedding cake and they did not disappoint. I will and would recommend them to anyone having an event large or small and in need of some sweets!

Wow. Just, wow. Sweet It Is is honestly some of the best dessert I have ever tasted. We did the dessert bar for our wedding and everything tasted incredible. They were also extremely accommodating with all of our requests. From our rustic cake, to two flavors of all the deserts - they nailed everything. Even their set up was perfect and went well with our rustic theme using wooden crates.

Mrs. Lori was awesome to work with and was highly recommended. Mr.s Lori was so easy to work with, from our initial cake tasting to random questions about our cake throughout the wedding planning process...this was one area of the wedding that I didn't have to worry or stress about. Unfortunately, my husband and I only had a small bite of the cake when we fed each other, but our guests are still raving about the red velvet cake! We have our top tier in our freezer, awaiting our first anniversary - we can't wait to eat it. Thank you again!!!!

I am so happy that we chose Sweet It Is to make our wedding cake and grooms cake. It has been 4 months since our wedding and our guest can't stop raving about out wedding cake and grooms cake. Lori and Calvin are amazing! They allowed my husband and I to have a tasting and had the opportunity to select our cake and icing flavors. Everything was delicious, so it was difficult to choose. But we ended up selecting a 4 tiered wedding cake composed of marble cake, red velvet and amaretto, with buttercream icing. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of our cakes , and they tasted just as good as they looked! Lori and Calvin are experienced and dedicated cake bakers and decorators, for every detail matched our vision. You can tell that they really care about their clients. Our wedding cake was GORGEOUS , but I must admit that my husband's grooms cake was an even bigger hit. It was perhaps the coolest cake either of us had ever seen and exactly what my husband wanted (it was a walking dead cake!). I can't thank the Sweet It Is team enough for making our day memorable. We loved Sweet It Is. Lori and Calvin were fantastic, very responsive and professional. They even let us sample some cake pops that they made especially for us since they didn't have any at the tasting. The cake pops were a hit and Lori decorated them beautifully and exactly as I asked. My mouth is still watering when I think about the wedding cake that Sweet It Is! made for us! We had tasted several other cake bakers, and the cake and icing from Sweet It Is! was hands-down the richest, most moist, and most flavorful cake we’d tried!! Lori and Calvin use fresh ingredients – I’m talking REAL strawberries! – rather than pie filling or fake flavoring. Their combinations of cakes and icings/fillings were unique, and I learned that some guests were so enthralled with our wedding cake that they had a slice of both varieties (chocolate cake w/ cream cheese filling; pound cake w/ strawberry filling & sliced strawberries)! Lori and Calvin were a delight to work with – both very sweet, and you can tell that they love what they do. Lori had great ideas for my cake design, and then ended up working with me on a personalized design for the cake to match my dress. I was more than thrilled with how the design turned out – it was just beautiful. On the day of the wedding, she arranged my cake topper and the flowers (left by the florist) on top of the cake, which turned out beautifully. I couldn’t have asked for more!

Lori was amazing throughout our wedding planning. She worked within my budget to give me the exact cake that I wanted for my big day. I sent her a picture and she took it from there. The cake was amazing--just incredible! We had cream cheese frosting that I still drool over when I think about it! It was a fantastic value for the money as well. All of my guests raved over how moist the cake was. Definitely use them to get a great experience and great cake!
