Sweet Jojo Photography

photographers and what felt like hundreds of galleries. When we were down to our final four, it was hard for us to make a firm decision, as we were cautious due to the previous bad experience that we had just gone through with the other photographer. Then my fiancé told me “so no to JoJo or did you like her stuff”? I was like. “Who is JoJo? I’ve never seen Jojo’s photos”. It gets a little confusing when you’re looking at several images, to keep them all straight. Immediately after seeing Joanna’s photos, our top 4 got tossed to the side and we knew at that moment we found our photographer :) We spoke on the phone with Joanna and she was super friendly and had answers to all of our questions, and had more to share with us that we didn’t think of. We met Joanna at Knights Ferry for our engagement shoot, which is a must (very cool place that she suggested). Joanna was the sweetest person and, this time It felt to us like we were with a real professional. She was constantly helping us get into position, making sure hair wasn’t in my fiancé’s face. Making sure the lighting was just right before snapping shots. She was in her element, and we couldn’t be happier with how this session went! After we parted ways. We were biting our nails waiting to see what we would get in our gallery (after the last disaster with the previous photographer) lol but when that email hit, we stopped what we were doing and went through every image and a huge weight was lifted. We were given the most beautiful pictures and couldn’t be happier. We will FINALLY have good pictures of us hanging in our house that weren’t taken from an iPhone lol. Thank you thank you thank you Joanna. You’re amazing, and I will be telling everyone about you and how great you are. Keep being you! You’re super fun to hang out with, and made us very comfortable:)

apher (after a very detailed and professional conversation about our concerns and a redo on the engagement session, again, with a different photog). I am very selective, picky, and critical to be blunt. Joanna was immediately responsive, answered all of our questions, sent us samples and more samples, and we loved her work and were confident in our change. With less than two months to go for the wedding, which we planned every small detail of for 18 months, she was immediately on board and developed an individualized package for us for our specific needs and wants. She took the time to get to know us and learn about us, stayed in touch, and did exactly what she promised for us and more. Joanna brought her talented and equally sweet daughter as the second photog and their chemistry was great. They definitely knew what they were doing. We love our pictures and the Lemus family!

ght such a great energy and had a way of making us feel totally comfortable in front of the camera. She gave just the right amount of direction to keep things moving along, and maintained her composure through all the chaos. We were also super impressed with how quickly she was able to get us our photos - that was the icing on the cake. We are so happy with our wedding photos and forever grateful for the memories Joanna captured. Highly recommend!!!

time to understand what was important to us and was able to capture so many special moments. Her ability to capture lighting that truly makes images look magical is beyond amazing. Joanna was also extremely communicative from start to finish working with us which we really appreciated. She was always on time, organized and most importantly her amazing photography skills speak for itself. I would highly recommend Joanna and her team to anyone who is looking for flawless photos with a personal approach!

icky!!! I don't understand much about lens, cameras, etc. but I do see the difference in each photographer's style. I wanted photos with light and natural colors, bright, romantic, natural, and magical. Photos showing the real "us". I found Sweet JoJo searching online on a very late night (like 2am) when I couldn't sleep. As soon as I found her I quickly checked her Instagram + Website and with no doubt I emailed her! The next morning I was so anxious thinking "and if she is not available on my wedding day?" ... Well, last week we had our engagement session photos and I couldn't be happier with the results. My pictures are absolutely GORGEOUS! It is a pleasure to work with Joanna, she is a great professional and one of the sweetest person I have ever met! I cannot wait for my big day and another amazing day with her. Thank you Joanna and Madison :)

fortable, fun and easy! My fiancé and I can be a little camera shy but Joanna and Madison knew exactly how to bring out our personalities and capture it. I was seriously blown away. Even though Joanna and Madison had never been to the location we took pictures, they knew exactly where to take the best pictures. I was impressed by their creativity. We know Joanna and Madison will do a great job on our wedding and we are SO excited for them to capture our special day!

ecking in to make sure that we are doing well or have any additional questions. She even was kind enough to come up and meet with us so that we did not have to drive down to the location where we will be getting married. We had our engagement session, which went so much better than either of us would have ever imagined! She helped us to feel comfortable and to just be ourselves during the session, and it helped to ensure we did not feel as though we were posing. Once we received the images, which was only a week later, we were absolutely blown away! Everything turned out so well and we had a hard time even narrowing down our favorites. We used those photos on our Save the Dates as well as our website, and have received so many compliments! Both our families love how they turned out, and we were able to give them prints as Christmas gifts too. I have no doubts that working with Joanna on our wedding day will help to ensure things go smoothly, and I would highly recommend you work with her if you would like someone with beautiful work and who is willing to go above and beyond to ensure everything you'd like goes according to plan!

organized, flexible, and accommodating with our needs! Such a great attitude and calming to be around...which goes a long way on the wedding day! We received the beautiful photos promptly -- absolutely loved them! Highly recommend the service of Sweet JoJo Photography! Thank you!!!

o others get an idea as well....when my husband was diagnosed with brain cancer we orchestrated the wedding of a lifetime in just three days. Well, you wouldn't know it was so quickly put together when you look at my wedding album. You did an amazing job!!! You made people smile despite the incredible range of emotions everyone was experiencing....you made everything look like a million dollars and an eternity was spent planning and preparing. You captured the magic of our moment...I will remember that day as beautiful and happy and emotional as it really was thanks to you. Here is wishing you will be able to capture many anniversaries to come. I love my family pictures that you just did in January as well! Much love....Andrea

uch a fantastic job. Her photos are beautifully nuanced and crystal clear works of art. She spends time capturing the small details, the favors, several cake angles, brides shoes and dress, the list is endless. We are so grateful that Joanna was hired, because she gave us in return, an important segment in my daughters life—her wedding day.
