Brian designed our dream cake for our October Friday the 13th wedding. We went in with some ideas, bits and pieces from multiple photos and what was created blew our minds. Everyone was speechless when it came out. Aside from the delicious taste of the cake itself the details and time that was poured into it is one that we truly appreciate and love. We been to the shop multiple times before the wedding just to grab some goodies because everything is tasty and above the typical/traditional desserts you’d expect. Highly recommended bakery for sure.

They did it again! Brian made us the most stunning and delicious wedding cake unlike any other. My guests kept raving how amazing it was. Thank you to everyone at Sweet Karma for always doing an amazing job!

Sweet Karma are great bakers but their shocking lack of professionalism turned what could have been a minor issue into a major catastrophe. Sweet Karma are skilled bakers. Our wedding cake looked great, in fact nearly exactly the way we had imagined it, and tasted good as well. The price point was also very reasonable. Where the issues started, and the reason why this is a 1-star and not a 5-star review, is with their complete lack of accountability and communication on the day of. During delivery of the cake, their driver accidentally tipped the cake over in the car resulting in a bent / leaning appearance. Instead of explaining this to the venue staff she dropped the cake off without informing anyone and drove off. When the venue discovered what had happened, they called the bakery to ask them to come back and see what they could do to fix the cake; Sweet Karma refused point blank. When we called and asked them what was going on, Sweet Karma hung up on us. When we called back, they refused to either take the cake back or send someone out to do emergency repairs and even with the model demanded that the venue owner drive out to meet their driver part-way instead of bringing it to the venue. We were extremely fortunate that the mother of the groom was a former pastry chef and able to fix the cake; it took her roughly 5 minutes to set it right again. All of this hassle could have been avoided if, at any point, Sweet Karma had either a) honestly communicated with us or our venue or b) put in any effort to rectify the issue. Accidents happen and we would have been completely understanding if they hadn't immediately gone on the defensive and dodged blame instead of taking steps to fix it (again, it only took ~5 minutes for a trained professional). We cannot recommend this bakery unless and until they develop a more professional attitude. They're good bakers but ultimately that's not enough if they won't communicate or take ownership of even small, easily-fixed accidents.

We had a very specific vision in mind and this amazing bakery brought it to life. Not only was the cake insanely delicious (truly what we got complimented on most) but it was stunning. And they didn't overcharge us or bs us. They told us what would work and what wouldn't and how to make the most cost-effective decision but still get the look we wanted. Highly recommend Sweet Karma!

I had an amazing rehearsal dinner grooms cake & awesome bridal shower desserts from sweet karma. Brian and Theresa are super easy to work with and their desserts, cakes and sweet treats are all delicious each time. Their cakes are truly amazing masterpieces and family members that don’t usually eat dessert we’re getting seconds for sweet karmas desserts. I highly recommend them

Poor customer service and overly aggressive co-owner! I tried seeking a resolution to my problem only to be shouted at and hung up on by Brian, a co-owner! The cakes/muffins are average however the issue was the customer service! Just a suggestion, take responsibility for the actions of your staff when things don't go to plan! Definitely overrated place, many others that are better! Never again!

I must say!!! This bakery is amazing as far as taste go! The owner (Bryan) did a fantastic job on our cake and did such an amazing job making it look and taste great!!! He's such a nice guy and funny too. If you need any type of cake (not just wedding but he does birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, christenings as well) Please check out their facebook page. We LOVED our wedding cake! We wanted it to look like Van Gogh's Almond Blossoms and Sweet Karma delivered our vision perfectly. The design was beautiful and our guests knew exactly what painting inspired our cake. Not only was it gorgeous but it tasted heavenly! Everyone we talked to said it was so moist and the flavors were light and perfect for summer. Something else great about this bakery is that they will remake the top tier for your first anniversary free. Can't wait for our first anniversary so we can have it again!

Sweet Karma made a delicious gluten and dairy free cake for me and my guests, and no one could tell it was allergen-friendly! Teresa is so sweet and really nailed the vision I had for my wedding cake! Thank you!

I was recommended to Sweet Karma after trying their beautifully designed and delicious red velvet cake at a baby shower. Theresa is THE BEST!!! Besides the delicious assortment of baked goods (and we tried 5 of them), Theresa's personality is this bakery's greatest asset. Everything was so yummy! I ended up ordering a groom's cake, since our venue was already supplying the wedding cake. The staff was welcoming and Theresa happily advised us of all of our options. She was honest with us and put us at ease. We tried the macaroon, apple crumb, carrot, chocolate indulgence, almond-flavored marble pound cake and french canolli cream... all to die for. Sweet Karma came highly recommended and now I am recommending them!

Visited this place back in April of 2015. I met with Teresa where we discussed pricing and design. I spoke to Teresa approximately two weeks prior to my wedding date in which she assured me that everything would be taken care of. My cake was delivered on time and looked amazing. I'm not a fan of cake, so when I tell you that during the cake cutting portion of my wedding and I had to eat the cake I was blown away. We used Sweet Karma for our wedding cake and my mom purchased a cake and cupcakes from them for my bridal shower. Everything was delicious! As soon as we decided on a venue and learned they could not accommodate a gluten free cake I started researching gluten free bakeries. We wanted to make sure I could enjoy the wedding cake too since normally whenever we go to an event, I can never enjoy the cake. We received rave reviews on all cakes which just goes to show that gluten free can still be delicious! I think we found our gluten free bakery for all future cakes we need for occasions (birthdays, events etc). They also make amazing pastry! I am happy we found Sweet Karma!

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Sweet Karma for our wedding! My husband and I are both from East Meadow and a friend recommending using them for our wedding cake (I didn't even know they did wedding cakes at the time). We met with Theresa who was absolutely delightful. She was so sweet and helpful in helping us pick out our cake from countless pictures. Theresa treated us like her own children and was just absolutely awesome. Once we picked out our cake, we spoke with Brian about the intricacies of the cake as well and he was just as welcoming and helpful. It just felt like we were surrounded by family every time we worked with Sweet Karma on anything for our wedding. We ended up also deciding to give out cookies as favors at our wedding. I brought the pictures of what we wanted to Brian (a bride cookie and a Marine Corp Officer cookie) and he was so happy to create them. You can tell he truly enjoys everything he does. We had a few gluten-free guests attending the wedding so we were sure to get some gluten-free cupcakes from Sweet Karma as well so they too could enjoy dessert. We did a cake testing before our wedding and it was delicious, we were excited for the "real thing" after that. The day of the wedding, my husband and I couldn't wait to dive into our cake. We had three different flavors- red velvet with cream cheese filling, vanilla with cannoli filling and chocolate with a chocolate mouse filling. All there were absolutely unbelievable! I have always thought of wedding cake as being dry and tasteless and stale but this cake was none of those things. It tasted fresh and just awesome! We took some favors with us to go and ate them in the hotel that night, those too were out of this world! Great job by everyone at Sweet Karma, I would recommend them to everyone!

Excellent desserts with a lot of gluten-free options! Knowledgable, helpful and friendly staff! Definitely recommend this bakery, especially if you are a celiac (they understand the strict guidelines regarding cross-contamination).

My husband and I are gluten-free, so I had to find a bakery that would do a bride cupcake and a groom cupcake using GF ingredients (we opted for cupcakes instead of a wedding cake). I shopped around for different quotes, and Sweet Karma was the cheapest. The woman I spoke to on the phone was really helpful and pleasant. My friend and wedding coordinator went to pick the cupcakes up the night before the wedding - there were three in total (me, my husband, and his niece). As the girl who was ringing up my friend was putting the cupcakes into a bag, she dropped my husband's niece's cupcake, totally ruining the frosting on the top. She barely apologized for the error and brushed it off. Their containers were also too small for the sizeable bride/groom cupcakes, so the little bouquet and boutonierre that were piped onto the top were squished and ruined, too. The cupcakes tasted great, but the customer service was pretty awful.

Sweet Karma made the most spectacular cake! Red Velvet, with canoli cream and cream cheese layers YUMMY! Not only was this cake delicious it was huge!!! We still have our top layer and the whole bottom. It was a four layer giant and each layer had 3 layers of cake and 3 layers of creams. It was perfectly colored, moist and simply amazing! I have never heard so many people fighting over who gets to take some home. Thank you so much for doing such a wonderful job!

This bakery is great! We wanted a birch tree cake that looked like stacked stumps with some autumn leaves here and there and had it "carved" with our initials. The cake exceeded by expectations and was goregous! We got so many compliments on it and its uniqueness. The cake (chocolate) was also very tasty. My dad does not even like chocolate and couldn't get enough of the cake. Outstanding.
