Our wedding cake turned out even better than I ever pictured! And delicious too. Melissa was so easy to work with and extremely reasonably priced. Our guests loved the homemade taste of our two flavors (one layer almond with lemon filling, the other lemon with strawberry filling). And we had so much fun with the cake tasting early on in our planning process. Definitely recommend the Cakery at Farmington Bakery.

Our cupcakes were delicious and we loved that we were able to customize them as much as we wanted to. However, it's very hard to contact the owners since they're not usually in the bakery. Their work for our top tier cake was beautiful and fully matched the picture we provided them. However, I'm giving them 3 stars because they completely forgot a cupcake flavor for our order. Instead of having 3 flavors, we only received 2. They did refund us the money after I called and brought it to their attention, but I was a little disappointed they shorted us on cupcakes.

We were referred to The Cakery by our reception vender and they were fantastic to work with. All the details were explained at our tasting including what kind of cake for the head table, cupcake design options and flavors. Price was right and everyone raved about how good our cupcakes were. The one thing I would change would be having them set up our cupcakes, it was very unfortunate that they will not do it. We had to ask family friends to be at our venue to set up the display.

We had a very specific request of creating a "cake" out of cinnamon rolls since our dinner was "brinner" (breakfast for dinner) and The Cakery was happy to accommodate. They worked with us at designing what we were requesting and going over options for additional desserts we may need. The desserts turned out delicious and delivery had no issues. They were reasonable priced and wonderful to work with.

I could not have been more happy with the way our wedding cake turned out! None of the other places we went to compared in taste - super delicious! We can’t wait to get our one year anniversary cake from them 😊

Oh My gosh our cakes were so delicious!! And gorgeous!! Everyone raved over our cake! We brought the left overs to work and everyone went crazy for the chocolate with fudge and the almond with raspberry! So delicious! I can't wait until our 1 year anniversary so we can eat the cake again!!

I knew I was going to use the Farmington Bakery as soon as I got engaged. I worked as a server for many years and got to sample many cakes & cupcakes over they years. They are the best! I got so many compliments about our cake! They were such a pleasure to work with as well!!! It was truly "love at first taste" the instant my mom and I tried the almond raspberry cake at a wedding fair. We had decided then and there that the Farmington Bakery would be doing our cake. They were so kind and accommodating! Definitely recommend!

Found this bakery at the wedding fair, best cake there! And then we ended up moving to Farmington, so it was a sign! The cake was JUST what we wanted! They listened to everything I had asked for and delivered! The price was great! The decorators were nice! The cashiers in the front of the bakery could be a little nicer. They seem a little stressed when it gets busy, but they seem young, that comes in time when you work customer service. :) I've referred friends since I found them last year and they were nothing but happy with their items!!! Love them!!!

We ran into this vendor at a wedding fair. My mom and I thought that we were grabbing a plain white wedding cake, but it was ALMOND! Moist, fluffy, perfect-for-winter almond cake! We were automatically sold! The cake was fantastic! We chose almond, red velvet, and chocolate chip for our 3 tiers of our wedding cake. We also did a hidden sheet cake in the back that was also almond. It looked beautiful on display and tasted even better! (Our venue cut the groom and I a piece of each flavor!) BONUS: Farmington Bakery gives you a coupon for your one year anniversary cake so that you don't have to eat stale freezer cake. We got our 1-year cake yesterday and it was fabulous! It was large enough to share with our families so everyone got to celebrate! Tip: Have your venue save you a doggie bag of cake to take back with you after the ceremony. You'll be starving! (our venue gave ours out as dancing snacks and we missed out!)

With only a few weeks before my wedding, I reached out to Farmington Bakery. They were very accommodating and scheduled a private cake tasting for me. I brought pictures from Pinterest showing a "ruffle cake" and they showed me pictures of several similar cakes they had done in the past, so I felt confident I was going to get exactly what I was looking for. The main wedding cake and cupcake variety were delicious. Very reasonably priced, especially for the quality. Love to support smaller, independent businesses and delighted someone referred me to Farmington Bakery to check them out. Would highly recommend this Bakery for Weddings, or any other special occasion you may have. Joyce

This is a wonderful "mom and pop" style bakery in Farmington. Their cakes are beautiful and delicious! We had a three-tiered cake, decorated like a birch tree, and then two sheet cakes. The best part?! You can have them do different flavors/fillings for each cake! We were able to have four different flavors and could have had a fifth if we chose! I highly recommend the strawberry cake with whipped cream filling. It was to die for! The quality and value is incredible. We looked at a few other bakeries that wanted to charge twice the price and their cake servings were smaller and didn't include filling.

Farmington Bakery's cake is so good! We had the almond cake with raspberry filling for our wedding - it was amazing! They were great to work with and they even delivered our wedding cake down to our venue in Rochester! One of my favorite things about using Farmington Bakery for wedding cake is that they will make you a fresh wedding cake top tier for your first anniversary -- No need to save and freeze the top one from your wedding and eat gross cake a year later!!

They just did a cake and cupcakes for my wedding and they were completely flawless! Great price, great flavors, a lot of options, and easy to work with! THANK YOU!

Farmington Bakery was the most delicious AND affordable for wedding cake. They were easy to work with and our wedding cake was beautiful! Their cake is so wonderful and they offer a complimentary cake for your one year anniversary!

They did an amazing job on our cake.

I worked with Sarah at Farmington Bakery and she was so great to work with. I ordered a three tiered cake and I wanted a rosette frosting design on the top and bottom layers. The bottom layer was originally supposed to be 15", but as she was frosting the cake she felt that because of the rosettes, it would look better if the bottom was slightly bigger. She made the cake a little bigger with no extra charge and we got a bit more extra cake! Yum! It was the best cake I have ever had. All our guests were raving about it! The frosting was thick and creamy and perfect!!

This is the only bakery my now husband and I agreed on for best frosting and best cake. The cake tasted amazing and they were great and flexible with flavors. Their designs were not the best. I found I had to sketch my own design and I am by no means an artist. I pointed out designs I liked in their shop and the day of it wasn't exactly what I wanted. If you want a simple design you should be good but don't get anything overly complicated. The people who met with us were very disorganized and the store is always busy. This is usually a good thing but in this case it made for working with them on our wedding stuff a bit stressful. Great taste and value but not the best organization.

I had a marble cake with strawberry Chantili (sp) filling. My husband I tried at least 10 different places and this cake we loved. The price was right. We had a 4 tier cake. (the top tier is free.)

Farmington Bakery was amazing. Their wedding cake was very good and they did a great job designing the cake. We were able to have a four tier cake with different flavors and then sheets of cake in the back for most of the guests. They have great flavors and their design of the cake was very elegant. I would highly recommend Farmington Bakery.

Gina and Sarah at Farmington Bakery were/are absolutely wonderful to work with! Totally accommodating to our needs and wishes. Lots of good ideas to help us plan. Had a traditional three-layer cake plus a kransekake (Norwegian wedding cake). All proclaimed by guests to be wonderful! Not one crumb left! Cakes looked beautiful, arrived exactly on time, and everyone raved about them. So there you have it! Don't remember the total cost for the two cakes, so guesstimating.

My cake was absolutely delicious and the service from Farmington Bakery was fantastic. During the tasting, I got to taste a large assortment of flavors. The cake decorating was exactly what I asked for and they even put our flowers on the cake the day of the wedding once it was delivered to the reception hall. I highly recommend Farmington Bakery.

The Farmington Bakery was the best choice for cake. They have amazing cake. Everyone loved it and complimented it. It looked absolutely wonderful and tasted even better. It was delivered to our hotel for the reception. We didn't have to worry about a thing. The price was unbeatable and service was great!

Everyone loved our cake. It was beautiful and tasted amazing. One of the things that really made me choose Farmington Bakery is when you get a sheet cake it is filled just like the really wedding cake. A lot of places don't do that. Out of all the places we went they had the best cake by far

The cake was absolutely beautiful. We gave the bakery a swatch of fabric that matched the Grooms vests to match the frosting... And it matched exactly! We attended a cake tasting, which was free, and tasty!! We went with the Almond cake with almond filling, which was honestly the best cake I've ever had! My only complaint with the bakery was that we had a 2 tiered cake that couldn't be stored in the fridge at our reception site. We were also afraid of it tipping over if one of us transported it to the wedding, so we decided to have it delivered. And it was pricey!! But like I said, the cake was delicious...so in the end, it was worth it!

I had several cake vendors lined up for tastings the day I chose Farmington Bakery. They were the first stop on a cold January day, and when we walked in, it was like destiny. The little bakery is old-fashioned goodness, with the delicious aroma and display cases as you walk in. We sat down and tried their preferred provided selections and we were sold. The cake was outstanding and the price couldn't be beat! We booked them on the spot, and I have no regrets. I had a 4-tier buttercream cake with layers of: almond/almond filling, chocolate/raspberry filling, white/lemon filling and marble/fudge filling. The cake looked beautiful and tasted even better. I also ordered a groomsmen's cake and Gina worked with me to produce it. It was a hit, and again, great value.

I loved the service staff, the quality of cake, and the professionalism each time I spoke with the Farmington Bakery Staff. You definitely get everything you pay for!!!

We chose the Farmington Bakery because they had the most reasonable price of any cake vendors we tried in the Twin Cities. Our cake turned out so much better than I was even anticipating! My husband loves fruit fillings on cakes, and I don't so we compromised with a strawberry cream cheese filling and it was delicious. The cake tasted great, and they delivered exactly what we were hoping for--a simple 3-tier square cake with dark blue ribbon and flowers added. I honestly loved it.

The cake was great. I wanted a cake that went with our outdoorsy theme of the wedding reception. They were able to make a beautiful cake look like a birch tree with our initials engraved in it. The cake tasted great also. We were able to have a couple different kinds of cake and filling. We got a lot of compliments from our guests on the cake from the decoration of it as well as the taste.

We had a last minute change of plans and had to find a new bakery for our cake. It was the best thing that could've happened to us in regards to our cake. I wanted chocolate cake at my wedding but none of the places we had tasted at had good chocolate cake. This place does!!! Their other flavors are awesome as well!! The people were great to work with and the price was lower than most. All of my cakes in the future will be ordered from them!

Our wedding cake was phenomenal! We provided them with a picture of what we wanted our cake to look like and their creation was almost identical to the picture we provided them! The cake was also delicious!

The Farmington Bakery made our display cake for our wedding. The cake had been originally made by Gateaux Inc who told us they would not remake a cake. Farmington Bakery did a great job making the cake and at a lower rate--can't be that! We loved the way it looked. We didn't serve it at our wedding but near the end of the night I cut it up and served it--it was a great cake. We had 3 different flavors in the layers. The lemon and the raspberry cream were the best!!

Tasted wonderful -- and my husband and I are not susually cake people!

They were delicious cakes, everyone enjoyed them! I did individual cakes at each table, and it worked out well. The only thing that happened was that the cakes must have been cold and when it warmed up at the venue, they started to form bubbles on the sides and tops of the cakes.

Gina at Farmington bakery is amazing!! She gave us exactly what we wanted even when we changed complete direction with only three months to go! The flavors were wonderful and everyone loved the different options available.

I loved working the Farmington Bakery! Although I don't live in the area I've been hooked on their cakes for special occasions for years. I knew they wouldn't let me down on my wedding day...and they didn't. They were super flexible and made my vision come to life!

Our cake looked and tasted perfect. The wedding coordinator at Farmington Bakery is so easy to work with, and seems to really enjoy what she is doing. Great experience.
