About this vendor
When it comes to inventing fine confections, neither Heironymus Bosh nor Willie Wonka has anything on the husband and wife team of Lisa and Stephen Maronian. Located in the Cos Cob section of Greenwich, CT, Sweet Lisa's Exquisite Cakes designs are hard to resist and almost too beautiful to eat.

I have known Sweet Lisa’s for years - Lisa and her team have created several birthday cakes for me over the years for monumental celebrations and they always are gorgeous, so detai...
led and over-the-moon-delicious that everyone fights over the leftovers! When it came time to hire a pastry chef for our wedding cake, this was one decision that did not involve any shopping around!
Even during the COVID times, the cupcake sampler that Lisa has put together to try out the different flavors of cake and frosting at home was a fun, at-home, date-night activity that we had a blast trying! Everything from the initial point of contact to the delivery was easy with her - she communicates in a timely manner, is energetic, upbeat and has creative ideas. We had combed through her social media channels and sent a few cake ideas, so once we decided on flavors, were good to go!
The cake was delivered on-time to the venue and just as beautiful as we had pictured it would be….working with our florist to add the floral embellishments, it could not have been more perfect. Of course, even after a cocktail hour and full four-course dinner, everyone LOVED the cake and were paying compliments to the pastry chef.
Stop your shopping around now for a pastry chef for your next birthday party, wedding or other celebration - Lisa and her team are the only game in town and you will NOT be disappointed!
We love our cake!!! Lisa did an amazing job, she helped us make the day extra special. We’re a geeky couple, so we want that to show and be elegant at the same time. She helped ...
us created a Star Wars cake that was still elegant. Not only was she able to pull it off, but it tasted amazing. It was a great center piece for our wedding!
Best experience start to finish. Lisa was personable and super helpful. We left the tasting knowing exactly what we wanted and who we were working with. The cake was beyond perfect...
on our wedding day, and we got so many compliments about how great it tasted! Love a good funfetti wedding cake!
We recently got married and loved the delicious Sweet Lisa's cakes for our big day. The cake flavors were rich, the communication with their team smooth, and the presentation impec...
cable. Our only hesitation is that they are only open for tastings during weekdays, no exceptions, which meant not living in Cos Cob and working full-time jobs that we weren't able to do a tasting so had to guess our favorite flavor combinations.
Lisa IS the sweetest! The vision for our cake was brought to life on our wedding day. Lisa understood exactly what we were going for. The cake was delicious. We chose Lisa to do ou...
r wedding cake because of her cookies we tasted at a bridal expo. We loved the cookies so much we made them our wedding favor and they were a hit! We got to make a custom cookie with our names and wedding date on it. Everyone loved them.

It is so funny. I didn't have any of the experiences of the others. I was given her name from the Tarrytown House Estate and in looking her up, I found Sweet Grace's instead. Ir...
onically, they both have the same name Lisa so I thought I was speaking to the woman I was referred to when I was not. In relaying this story to "Sweet Lisa" and telling her that I wanted buttercream flowers for my daughter's cake she said that she doesn't do that and that I should go to the other bakery. I told the GM at Tarrytown that she actually dismissed me! Turns out "Sweet Grace" came into the Tarrytown area to meet us on a Saturday I had the appointment with the florist ("Sweet Lisa" only meets weekdays regardless if you work or live out of town) and she had no problem with the buttercream flowers. In fact, she told me that they are being requested more and more these days. Check out Sweet Grace's reviews. They are much more plentiful and her cake was out of this world. Much more gourmet too. I ordered a Champagne Cake with fresh strawberry cream filling. We did a basket weave with buttercream flowers cascading down. It was simply beautiful and she was a pleasure to work with.
This review is late, but our wedding cake from Sweet Lisa's was awesome! And Sweet Lisa's is such a fitting name, because Lisa herself is exactly that -- very sweet and such a plea...
sure to work with. She made the tasting and the process so easy. We definitely recommend her and hope to work with her again in the future for other special occasions.

they had more than one piece (one guest had three!) because the cake was THAT good. They were easy to deal with and did not disappoint. I highly recommend them.

ion process easy. When you schedule an appointment, they will prepare a few delicious flavors for you to try and provide you with a substantial slideshow showcasing a variety of options for your big day. My parents, husband and I tried a number of well known bakeries but were blown away by the quality of Sweet Lisa's cakes. None of the other bakeries came close with the level of service or quality of product. Sweet Lisa's doesn't just make cakes, they make a work of art. If you are looking to impress your guests, don't look any further. This is the right vendor for you! My guests are still discussing my cake an entire month later!!!
The cake was beautiful and just what we had envisioned. Don't miss the cake tasting and a chance to visit their quaint bakery!

get in touch with and always ready to answer any questions or offer any advice they have). We had such a great experience we kept going back - they did the desserts for my bridal shower, the cake for our bachelor/bachelorette party and our wedding cake. Every thing was unique, delicious, carefully put together and the final products were better than we could have ever imagined!
Sweet Lisa's was the preferred cake vendor for our venue, and I'm so glad they were! The cake design was just as we'd wanted, and it was delicious. We had chocolate chiffon and va...

I went to Sweet Lisa's for a fancy groom's cake. I got exactly what I wanted but it was expensive. Great decorating skills and quite a tasty, rich cake.
Sweet Lisa's is phenomenal! They are certainly a bit more pricey than other cake vendors, but if you really care about having a great tasting and beautiful taste this is the place ...
for you! The people are great to work with and the finished product was just what we wanted. Everyone at the wedding commented on how good the cake was and we kept eating the left overs for almost a week after. It was so tasty, I wish I had a piece right now!
