e been going there together since college! Our wedding was a little spooky-themed being in late October, and Sweet Mandy B's was able to do Halloween sprinkles and colors on most of the desserts! Most of all, they were all delicious and our guests loved them. Communication and payment was all a breeze, as well. Thanks for everything!

Over the phone, I ordered a three-tier lemon cake with raspberry preserves, yellow cake with chocolate buttercream, and a small gluten free cake with fresh berries, and two vegan cupcakes for around $800 (super affordable for Chicago wedding). The decoration on the tier cake was simple white frosting and our florist put fresh tropical flowers on at the venue. Everyone raved about the cakes!!! They also give you some cupcakes to taste test before you order!

they were able to do sheet cakes to have enough for our 300 person wedding. It was perfect! They delivered to our venue and were so easy to work with. Many of our guests complimented the taste, and funfetti was a unique touch for our wedding. We LOVE SWB!

not impressed -- Sweet Mandy B's was surprisingly affordable compared to them and the cake tasted 100x better. We ended up ordering a snickerdoodle cake with cream cheese frosting and were so impressed, we loved it and guests also loved it!! A few helpful details: SMB's tasting was super easy, I called ahead and we picked up their standard tasting sampler of 6 popular flavors with 2 additional I requested, then picked up the cupcakes and their information packet. SMB's doesn't appear to do business over email, so I had to call them every time to discuss my order, but they were very accessible and I didn't mind having to call instead of email. Also, we selected a design with ribbon on the bottom of each tier, so I purchased the ribbon and dropped off at the store a week or two before the wedding.

An associate talked us through the packages and what we wanted for our wedding day, had us taste test tons of flavors (we got to take home leftovers!) and helped us design our sweets table which ended up being made up of a myriad of cookies and cupcakes as well as a small cake for us to cut. We were able to choose a cake design we liked off Pinterest and their pastry chefs brought it to life beautifully. Sweet Mandy B’s even let us adjust our order quantity when our RSVP’s started to come in which was really helpful since we had overestimated our guest count and they helped us come up with a reasonable amount of treats for our guests without being pushy. They delivered our desserts seamlessly day of and our sweets table was a huge hit, with guests devouring all (literally ALL!!) of the desserts we had ordered (we ordered 120 cookies and 120 cupcakes for 130 people). months regarding booking my cake order for our May wedding. We did a tasting earlier than needed around November and settled on SMB for our tiered wedding cake. I was ready to place my order soon after our tasting. However, we were told to place our order 2-3 mo prior to our wedding and this would be fine. I started communicating again in February regarding our end of May wedding and then within a week or two I was told our date had booked up! Luckily, they were able to squeeze us in, but had they not, I would have been sorely disappointed. There was no need for this added stress as I had made my decisions and was ready to sign up/pay months prior! I wish they had just kept me posted that the date was booking up and I needed to put my deposit in ASAP or allowed me to place my order months prior as I had intended! Anyways, despite the rocky start, everything after that went without a hitch! We did a small 2 tiered cake with gold leaf foil and it was exactly what I wanted! We ordered lemon cake with vanilla buttercream and almond cake with vanilla buttercream (which is not a standard tasting flavor) and they were both amazing. All of the guests were raving! Because of a unrelated snafu, we had a lot of excess cake left, which I took to work. Many people came up to me and told me it was the best cake they have ever had. I tend to agree!! I have used SMB for birthdays and other occasions and am happy that I was able to use them for my wedding. I will continue to be a loyal customer!

Turns out, Sweet Mandy B's does sheet cake too and it's SUPER reasonably priced! I don't think a single one of our wedding guests noticed that we didn't "cut the cake" ....but they damn sure noticed the cake. 3 weeks later and we still have people raving to about us how delicious it was!!! They gave us a giant plate of cupcakes with every amazing flavor combo to try. I LOVED that we could pick 3 different flavors of cake! Every tier was a different flavor with a different filling as well. Ordering what we wanted was so easy. We sent Lauren an email with pictures of what we wanted it to look like, which flavors we chose, and what time they could deliver it to our venue. The price really cannot be beat either! I have a few coworkers getting married this year, and they were being quoted insanely high prices for wedding cakes. Now they are all going to use Sweet Mandy B's :-)

I am artistic so I sketched what we wanted. The execution wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but was pretty nonetheless. Plus, it tasted amazing. What I also really loved is that since I was getting two layers they recommended I have two different flavors and then one different kind for the sheet cake. This gave my guests options. Sweet Mandy B's were always SO accommodating. They helped us decide how many cupcakes and cookies we would need based on how many guests we had, and the amount we ordered was PERFECT, we actually had about 20 mini cupcakes left over, which we got to take home :) were also surprised to hear that Sweet Mandy B's now delivers, so the day of our wedding we didn't have to worry about anything! The cupcakes and cookies were delivered well ahead of time and they were delicious, our guests loved them!!!
