Sweet Matriarch was born from my love of traditions, family and great southern food. Since the beginning we wanted to stand out from the crowd but for all the right reasons. Our primary focus is local, natural and made from scratch with real ingredients like my grandmothers taught me. As a Kentucky Proud seasonal dessert bakery we continue to use only the finest local and domestic ingredients in our cakes, cookies, pies and more. What does this mean for your wedding day? Your cake will be crafted with real butter, pure vanilla, fresh fruits and high end chocolates. We promise to put not only the best ingredients but the best of ourselves into your big day.

Tia is an outstanding baker and all of her desserts were a huge hit at my son and new daughter-in-law's wedding. Tia is so pleasant to work with as well. Her desserts are simply delicious and I am so happy she was able to be a part of our special day.

Tia is unreal. I am NOT a cake person and I usually hate cake icing, but Tia's is to die for! All of our guests have told us that our wedding cake was the best cake they have ever had - and I'm pretty sure they all want to book her for their own parties now! She is very kind, very organized, and her prices are extremely reasonable. We can't wait for another opportunity to have her make us more cake!

Tia is the absolute best. We wanted something different that the typical white/cream wedding cake and she delivered! We had a gold dust covered fondant with a fondant burgundy flower to match our colors with three layers- red velvet, chocolate with caramel, and lemon with blueberry filling. We also had a Louisville Cardinal groomscake that was carrot cake and vanilla and maple bacon cupcakes. Overall such a great price for such wonderful cakes! Our guests raved it was the best wedding cake they had ever had, and we were sure to take all the leftovers! We will definitely be getting more cakes from this shop. Oh yeah! And she uses local ingredients whenever possible, KY Proud, which I love!
