We were able to sample her cakes, and brainstorm with her on our perfect custom design that fit our reception theme (Japanese cherry blossoms). The cake came out beautiful and was incredibly structurally sound. And of course, the red velvet was delectable, not too sweet yet perfectly indulgent. I would highly recommend Laurice.

Owner Laurice is honored to be able to create works of art that encompass her couple’s love in a beautiful cake that can be enjoyed by their loved ones. She has always been passionate about good food and decadent desserts and regularly entered local baking competitions. In 2002 she was given the opportunity to take Wilton cake decorating classes which fueled her passion for baking even more. A close friend approached Laurice and asked her to design her wedding cake and that was the moment that Sweet Moments Dessert Company was born.

From a classic round cake to a two or three-tiered masterpiece, not only will your wedding cake look exquisite, but it will taste incredible. My name is Laurice. I am a single Mom and business owner. I started Sweet Moments Dessert Company over 15 years ago when a friend asked me to make her wedding cake. It was on a whim but my business was born. I have a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management and took several Wilton classes. Other than that I am self taught. I bake and create from scratch using time honored recipes, some passed down for generations. Wedding cakes have always been my favorite.. I just LOVE weddings. I think every couple deserves a beautiful and DELICIOUS wedding cake to honor their special day.

all made from scratch! We ordered brown sugar vanilla with brown sugar mini chip buttercream, strawberry champagne (specialty cake flavor) and chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling. All three flavors were a huge hit at our wedding. We had a hiccup with my florist regarding the flowers I needed to decorate my wedding cake, and Laurice went above and beyond to make sure my cake was decorated as imagined. When I was unsure about what flowers I wanted on our wedding cake (our ceremony was small and we ordered my bouquet through the venue), she found out what flowers they would be and picked them up. It was very thoughtful. She was also very helpful in determining what size would suit our gathering.
She makes the most delicious cakes I've ever had. It wasn't our wedding cake, but her carrot cake is absolutely ridiculous. I've tried so many carrot cakes since then, just chasing that high. 😂 But seriously, it's excellent. 100% would recommend.
