Owner Laurice is honored to be able to create works of art that encompass her couple’s love in a beautiful cake that can be enjoyed by their loved ones. She has always been passionate about good food and decadent desserts and regularly entered local baking competitions. In 2002 she was given the opportunity to take Wilton cake decorating classes which fueled her passion for baking even more. A close friend approached Laurice and asked her to design her wedding cake and that was the moment that Sweet Moments Dessert Company was born. Sweet Moments Dessert Company offers custom wedding cake designs to reflect your personality. From a classic round cake to a two or three-tiered masterpiece, not only will your wedding cake look exquisite, but it will taste incredible. Specific dietary requirements are always taken into consideration when designing your cake and other desserts for the event. My name is Laurice. I am a single Mom and business owner. I started Sweet Moments Dessert Company over 15 years ago when a friend asked me to make her wedding cake. It was on a whim but my business was born. I have a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management and took several Wilton classes. Other than that I am self taught. I bake and create from scratch using time honored recipes, some passed down for generations. Wedding cakes have always been my favorite.. I just LOVE weddings. I think every couple deserves a beautiful and DELICIOUS wedding cake to honor their special day.

Laurice the owner is the sweetest! She had great communication throughout the whole process. She would reply promptly when I would reach out. Her cake flavors are all delicious and all made from scratch! We ordered brown sugar vanilla with brown sugar mini chip buttercream, strawberry champagne (specialty cake flavor) and chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling. All three flavors were a huge hit at our wedding. We had a hiccup with my florist regarding the flowers I needed to decorate my wedding cake, and Laurice went above and beyond to make sure my cake was decorated as imagined. I highly recommended her for any special occasion (birthday, wedding, anniversary, etc.).

If you need a cake, for literally any event, THIS IS YOUR GIRL!! My original baker canceled on me 3 days before the event and Laurice reached out to me and was able to make it even better with such little notice! Her ordering sheet and messaging was very kind and professional. Support your locals and get your event goodies done here! I will most definitely be ordering future cakes and recommending to others!! Thank you Laurice, you’re amazing!!!

Laurice was a joy to work with from start to finish. She is extremely helpful and communicative with detailed email responses, suggestions and ideas all the way along. Laurice P. Has made cakes for me for years. Birthday cakes, wedding cakes, baptism cakes and cookies for all occasions. Her work ethics are professional, she's punctual, she has an eye for fine detail with an incredible artistic flare. Her cakes are amazingly delicious and fresh. If you don't know what you want, she has ideas for all occasions.

Wow! Exceeded my expectations! We had a dessert buffet AND a wedding cake. Laurice and her team made everything from scratch. We had lots of variety as well as gluten-free options for our gluten-sensitive guests. It was a very hot day and had to be transported a long distance but everything looked perfect and tasted better! Everything was reasonably priced and Laurice was a joy to work with. We still have her do desserts for all our important events. I highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful cake that was just exactly what we wanted for our special day! Not only was it beautiful, but delicious. Laurice was very understanding working with us to accommodate our gluten free guests as well. Guests raved about how good both the gluten free and non gluten free options were. Couldn’t be happier we went with Sweet Moments Dessert Company.

Sweet Moments Dessert Company has been making our families cakes years!!!! She is very professional and she goes above and beyond to make your cake and other desserts so memorable. She is simply a lovely person to work with and she takes such time and care into creating Beautiful and Delicious Desserts. Her Tres Leches Cake is unbelievable. Our wedding was the first cake we ordered from Laurice, but definitely not the last. We also ordered a one year anniversary cake to celebrate. I requested an aquarium theme with sharks, because we were married in an aquarium. She did an amazing job. When I was unsure about what flowers I wanted on our wedding cake (our ceremony was small and we ordered my bouquet through the venue), she found out what flowers they would be and picked them up. It was very thoughtful. She was also very helpful in determining what size would suit our gathering. She makes the most delicious cakes I've ever had. It wasn't our wedding cake, but her carrot cake is absolutely ridiculous. I've tried so many carrot cakes since then, just chasing that high. 😂 But seriously, it's excellent. 100% would recommend.

Laurice has made wedding cakes for my son and daughter and a birthday cake for my granddaughter and countless other amazing treats for me including a carrot cake for my birthday. These have all been scrumptious, varied in flavor, design, and made to order after rounds of tastings and consultation with the brides. Not a wedding, but my company held a Holiday dinner/dance, catered dinner but no dessert. What’s a holiday party without sweets? Sweet Moments to the rescue, providing an amazing dessert table for 100 VERY appreciative guests. Cake, cookies, cake pops, chocolate strawberries - the works. It was beautiful and delicious, and I will hire them again for every occasion!

I am a long time customer of Sweet Moments Dessert Company and have ordered cakes for several events from large gatherings to intimate birthday events. The thing that sets Sweet Moments apart is that the cakes not only look exquisite but they taste divine. Laurice is a true artist from her scratch made cakes to - did I say already EXQUISITE artistry. She has excellent communication. Each design I've ordered has come out as well or better than I could have imagined. She always has my cakes ready when I need them, on time, as ordered.

She was amazing to work with. We wanted simple but elegant and she delivered! We had a top tres leche cake and a bottom white cake and both were decadent. She has since become our staple cake lady for all events. She’s even made pies and breads for our family. She is amazing!
