Laurie is an incredible florist and artist. We basically told her our budget, our wedding colors, and our flower preferences, and she did the rest. The decorations in the chapel were beautiful and the centerpieces at the reception -- WOW. If you just tell her the "feel" of your wedding, she will create something absolutely spectacular. She was also our day-of coordinator (another service she offers) and she took care of all the little details, leaving my husband and me to just enjoy the day. We couldn't have been happier with Laurie.

Laurie is a wonderful, fantastic and artistic floral designer. She brought to life our general idea of using pumpkins as our centerpieces. We specifically wanted 2 different flowers for people that we've lost recently and she made sure to incorporate them everywhere. She is a very thoughtful, patient and energetic designer!

So, I met this lady at a bridal show.. she was very nice in appearance at the show. She gave me her card and I made an appt. I was refered to her by my now-sister in law who used her for her wedding back in 2008. She said she spent a very low amount for nice flowers.. and I remember they were nice. So I looked right into it.. well the lady who runs this business told me she closed her business location and built a studio in her home to work from there. Great idea! Well, she lives in a HIGHLY residential neighborhood in a-less-than-spectacular area in Lewiston. She came to the door to greet us, and as I walk in the entrance of her garage I see to my left what looks like an idea of a studio - but there was no studio. There was a table, and some stuff I'm assuming she brought back from her closed store. But the 'studio' was not operating for business. She brought us into her house, and we sat at her kitchen table. I was quite shocked to see that someone who considers themselves a professional designer (and a floral designer.. aka good with colors) had a very bland, untouched, and outdated home. It was a very small one-level ranch house. with the living room immediately next to us. She had GUESTS over watching the football game...like 3 or 4 men on the couch watching a game while my soon-to-be-husband, my mother, and I were at the table with her. She went through catalogs and pricing which was great but she had NO actual flowers to show me so I could get an idea of what we were talking about. She also quoted me almost 500 in flowers. We thanked her for her time and did not use her for our wedding. We used Lady Slipper out of Gray Maine - that lady is SOOOO NICE, beautiful place, VERY reasonable, GREAT work. Just amazing. Definitely glad I went with her instead. :)

All I can say is that every flower was what I wanted and everyone at Sweet Pea was very helpful

Laurie from Sweet Pea Designs was absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding. She helped me to find the perfect blend of colors and flowers that fit with the feel of our event without making me feel like my flowers came from a catalog order. Her unique artistic approach to our flowers made every piece a true work of art.

Lorrie was the florist for our wedding. We had 11 center peices, 14 bouts/corsages, and 5 bouquets including mine. I had tulips as my main flower and told her to choose whatever she wanted for other flowers/fillers that would keep the color combinations and go well with tulips. Lorrie did a great job choosing the other flowers/fillers and I was very happy with the centerpeices and bridemaids bouqets. The price was VERY good. the only thing i wasn't that thrilled bout was my bouqet which wasn't like the picture I gave at all... BUT in the end we came up with a beautiful alternative that worked very well. Lorrie listened and changed things however I wanted.

OMG...I cannot say enough good things about Laurie who is the owner of Sweetpea Designs in Lewiston, Maine. I had met with other florists, but NONE compared to Laurie. You can just tell from your initial meeting with her, just how passionate she is about her work. She looked through all of the floral ideas I had brought in (from magazines or printed from the web) and as soon as she finished going through them all, she looked at me and said, "What I am getting from these pictures are that you are looking for something VERY elegant yet simple." I was shocked, she hit the nail right on the head. Her excitement was absolutely what I needed in order to alleviate some of my own stresses about wedding planning. I had so much confidence in Laurie and she pulled through just as I knew she would. It's a wonderful feeling to walk into a business to set up a business deal and wind up leaving there with a wonderful friend for life! About 2 weeks before my wedding, she called just to check up on me & see how I was doing. She said, "I have a small wedding this weekend, but NOW it is ALL ABOUT YOU, so if you have ANY questions, concerns or just need to talk, call me!" 100% recommend SweetPea Designs to any and all planning a wedding. FYI, she JUST relocated her shop to 10 Bobby Street in Lewiston!!!
