Ashleigh was amazing. She was very responsive through email and flexible when it came sampling the cake. We both work long hours so we opted for picking up a sample box instead of an in-person tasting. I don't even know where to start with the cake... the samples alone where so hard to choose from because every single one was beyond delicious. I gave her three inspiration pictures of what I wanted and I was blown away on my wedding day. Not only did this cake look like a dream, it tasted like one, too. I am going to recommend Sweet Somethings to everyone I know!

Ashleigh is by far the most talented wedding cake designer in the DFW area - I own a wedding venue and I see wedding cakes every weekend. No one compares to Ashleigh and her creative abilities. She was the obvious choice for my daughter, Annabel's wedding. She made a cake that looked like a stack of Harry Potter books. And when I say "looked like" , my brother-in-law actually touched the back of the cake to make sure that they were not real books. Having the cake was my most favorite part of the wedding. If you want something out of the ordinary that tastes fantastic - you want to use Ashleigh!

My husband’s only wedding request was a red velvet armadillo cake, and man did Ashleigh deliver! We didn’t want the square Steel Magnolias version but a cute semi lifelike replica, and she knocked it out of the park. People are still laughing and talking about the cake. Her cakes not only look fantastic, but taste delicious! She is so professional and great to work with. Thank You Ashleigh for helping make our wedding day one for the books!

Ashleigh creates delicious desserts and is incredibly creative! She made multiple desserts including our bride's cake, groom's cake, and mini Texas pies for our wedding. Everything tasted amazing and everyone raved about the desserts! She brought my vision to life for the "Texas Pie Table" with mini blueberry, cherry, and pecan pies with Texas stars on top. My husband loved his South Carolina groom's cake and I loved all the details on my gorgeous bride's cake. Whatever you envision for your wedding, she can do it! Ashleigh made us two BEAUTIFUL cakes that tasted as good as they looked! Before, during and after we had people raving about how good they looked and tasted. I even had multiple people tell me it was the best wedding cake they had ever had (and I agree!). You can’t go wrong with Ashleigh!!

I have followed Ashleigh's work on social media for several years and when my sister surprised me with a tasting with Ashleigh at the beginning of wedding planning, I cried. Having Ashleigh do my wedding cakes was truly a dream come true. When I came out of the bridal suite to see the wedding and groom's cakes she had designed, it took my breath away. They are truly pieces of art. I received so many compliments on both. People were absolutely amazed. My husband and I couldn't be happier with them. Not only is her work absolutely flawless, she can create anything you envision. She was always professional when answering my different requests for slight changes in style, adding gluten-free cupcakes, and even bringing in a last minute birthday cake to surprise my cousin as his birthday was the day following our wedding. The taste is equal to the quality of her art and the value you receive is absolutely worth it. You will not be disappointed in her.

Once again Ashleigh went above and beyond! She did not one but 4 cakes for our wedding Saturday. They were perfection and tasted just as amazing as they looked. Our wedding was a dream and Ashleigh nailed our vision. I trusted her to use her creative vision and couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. Even my guests who don’t like cake, loved her cake!! Her fondant is the only fondant I’ve ever been able to eat because itntruly is delicious!

OMG the cake that Ashleigh made for our wedding was so beautiful and incredibly delicious! I can't even decide my favorite part of it! The amaretto cake with raspberry mouse, the hand painted florals, the sugar flowers, the icing roses---all pure perfection!

Ashleigh is the ONLY person I would ever consider for my wedding! Her cakes are beautiful, tasteful, and are one of a kind. I was saddened to see the comment before this. The bride admitted she has never actually used Asheleigh’s services, so I do not believe she is qualified to leave a review. Someone like that would find a better fit at a chain store bakery with a staff who’s sole focus is to keep customers in an assembly line. This bakery is more for brides who want someone to care about their special day and who will put love and a dash of magic into something uniquely for you. I’m thrilled to know that Ashleigh will move around her schedule to make sure my cake is ready for the most important day of my life. I know I won’t be disappointed ❤️❤️

Ashleigh made the wedding cake process absolutely amazing. She met with my husband and I for our cake tasking and was absolutely professional. She did not rush us and allowed me to ask all of my silly questions. The cake she created was exactly what I wanted, absolutely beautiful. I can't remember her exact names for the flavor we picked but we had a chocolate layer and a white almond layer that was to die for. We provided our guests with take home containers to take the cake home and by the end of the night we had NO cake left! I had guests tell me afterwards that the take home cake was even better later! I was so happy everyone enjoyed it so much but a little sad I didn'thave any to take home with me! :) Ashleigh was affordable, on time and she is veryyyy talented! Everything you want in a baker! Ps I still think about the Almond flavor cake and one day I will order me a small cake just for me, it was that good!

I was referred from my friends who have used her in the past, so I decided I would reach out to see her pricing and availability. We get our appt set up for a Sunday due to my fiancé working nights. The morning of our tasting, Ashleigh texts me saying she wont be able to accommodate our appt due to an event she has to last minute prepare. I am upset by getting notified hours before our appt that she wasn’t going to have the time for us. She let us know that she would have a sample box of the cakes ready for us at our 1pm appointment. I tried asking her if there was a way to have a shorter appt since this was last minute. She was unwilling to work with trying to get us in, I let her know that this worried me in becoming a client of hers. She explained that she runs this business herself & that things like this happen, giving excuses that she just found out about this change and she was sorry she couldn’t accommodate us but, that I should see this as her taking her business & clients seriously and this client that was already paid for & will take priority over tastings. That showed me that she’s not concerned with gaining me as a client, I told her we would pick up our cake samples at 1pm & we would follow up with her for a consultation. I was then told it wouldn’t be ready until 2pm because she hasn’t started making them yet, when I was promised to have them by 1pm. I didn’t understand why they weren’t ready when she knew she had tasting appts today despite her event. She then mentioned that since I am so concerned and not confident in her services that I might need to look elsewhere. She gave no sympathy, I told her we would be there at 2pm to pick up. She then tells me she won’t be doing that for us at all bc she has to prep for her event and I have been talking with her for 2 hrs about getting rescheduled. She tried putting the blame on me for her not being prepared when she should’ve been ready for her appts. She suggested we reschedule for another weekend & I was uncomfortable doing that in fear that this same thing would happened. Red flag, that she knowingly wasn’t going to make the samples and she was pushing for me to cancel. This shows me, shes not good with time management nor customer service. She said that if we reschedule & book with her she would make our wedding a priority. I found she was handling this situation to be very unprofessional. After that, I knew this was something that I did not want to deal with. I told her it’s unfortunate that we wouldn’t be able to work together since she was unwilling to fulfill her end of our appointment. I asked on FB for record on a bakery. A friend, asked what happened to our tasting & I commented that she had cancelled on us & I felt it was handled unprofessionally. Someone asked me who it was, I let her know and said she is more than welcome to check her out, it wasn’t going to work out for us due to the situation. Ashleigh comments saying that I put her business on blast by my comments. I couldn’t believe that I was seeing a “professional” commenting the way she was about an customer review. I PM’d her, saying I didn’t think that was professional to comment the way she did and I can express my review of her business. She needs attention to time management & professionalism. If you are going to be a “one woman business” you need to be able to handle the appts you set up & know your limits before setting more appts. This was a blessing in disguise that I didn’t go with her.

Ashleigh could not have done a better job on our wedding cake. It was perfect. Every detail we discussed was done to the exact idea we wanted, and all of our guests commented on how tasty and beautiful the cake was. She was eager To listen To the ideas we had, and went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased. Her prices are extremely reasonable for the services she provides, and she goes out of her way to add any special detail to make things special. Couldn’t Be happier

Our cake was fantastic! We love reading and wanted a cake in the shape of a stack of books. It looked so good people kept walking past it! She even make it so the top layer could be removed so we could cut it outside without moving the whole cake. Loved it!

Our cakes were outstanding! The taste was great and the decorating superb. Ashleigh is great about listening to what you want and coming up with a design that works.

Ashleigh is a joy to work with! Our cakes were everything we asked for and more! I got the champagne with a strawberry mousse filling and the grooms cake was strawberry! Right when I tasted the champagne at our consolation I knew it was my cake! Our guest are still talking about how beautiful our cakes were and how great they tasted as well!

I highly recommend Ashleigh! She is sweet, personable, and made the most delicious and elegant simple cake that was totallllly me! So easy to work with and extremely kind! 5 stars!!!!!

The wedding cake we received from Ashleigh was absolutely magical. The design was perfect and exactly what we wanted but the cake itself was AMAZING. Everyone was raving about it. I ate cake for day afterwards. It didn't taste like a typical, boring wedding cake. It was delicious and beautiful. I'd recommend her to anyone.

The wedding cake that Ashleigh created for my husband and me was absolutely stunning! She worked with me so patiently from the beginning to design the perfect cake for us. We had a 4-tiered cake, each tier had a different look with alternating flavors for each tier between Amaretto cake and Red Velvet cake, and two beautiful fresh flowers were added that helped bring in all of the colors of our wedding, and to top it off, the cake was delicious!!! We over-ordered by about 25 servings, but most of the cake was gone by the end of the night because so many people had to get up and get more because it was so good! Even weeks later we are still having people tell us how good the cake was. I would definitely recommend Ashleigh to be your cake baker for any event! We will be using her for any cakes we need going forward. Our cake could not have been more perfect thanks to Ashleigh!!

Wow, wow, wow. First, ever single piece of cake was eaten. I think that says it all. The cake was moist and I even made sure we did the tasting for both of the cakes so that my husband and I would get to have some. Aside from tasting amazing, the cakes were so beautiful. I will definitely be using Ashleigh's business for my next cake purchase!
