First of all, our wedding cake was beautiful & so elegant! Our grooms cake was a golf bag that turned out perfectly, everyone loved the look of it. Now, the flavor was unreal. I can’t tell you how many texts/compliments we got on our cakes. The were all wonderful but the peanut butter cup was by far the biggest hit. Everyone wants to know where to get one! Laura Kate was a joy to work with & made this process so fun & easy! We loved everything about sweet stirrings!

Laura-Kate’s cakes are first off DELICIOUS! And on top of that, they are absolutely beautiful. She does amazing work and is willing to do whatever you want for your big day! My cake turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined. We can’t wait to eat our frozen top tier for our anniversary!! Aside from doing amazing work, she is kind, passionate about what she does, and easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Working with Laura-Kate was such an easy and awesome experience! Get married during a pandemic wasn’t easy but she was so helpful and accommodating throughout it all, and our cakes were absolutely delicious and exactly like I imagined!

Omg the best place to get your wedding cake OR ANY CAKE for that matter!! Laura-Kate makes the most beautiful tasting art I've ever had in my life! My husband and I loved the Opera cake the best. I follow Laura-Kate on facebook and I am just in awe of the designs she can pull together. Unfortunately my wedding was canceled due to Covid-19 but Laura-Kate was SOOO kind throughout the whole experience and we will 100% use her when we hopefully reschedule our wedding.

Working with Laura-Kate at Sweet Stirrings was a pleasure. She provided my daughter and I so many sample choices - it was hard to choose. DELICIOUS is an understatement. I've had my share of wedding cakes, but her cake flavors just might be the best I've ever had. Not only delicious, but beautiful. Laura-Kate did a fantastic job of making a minimalist cake with buttercream icing look like fondant. The colorful flowers contrasting with the smooth creamy frosting was just stunning. Also a shout out to Sweet Stirrings for following through with a commitment amid uncertain times (COVID-19). Laura-Kate's dedication to her craft and to her brides is commendable. I highly recommend Sweet Stirrings for ANY event!

Laura-Kate’s cakes are absolutely delicious! She was very reasonably priced, and extremely easy to work with! We got told multiple times throughout our wedding how delicious the cakes were!

Sweet Stirrings has the most delicious cakes. We had trouble deciding which flavors we wanted. What we chose was DEVINE! The creativity and time planning and sculpting my sons cake of his English Bulldog for his grooms cake did not go unnoticed. Every attention to detail was noticed and appreciated by all. I originally chose Sweet Stirrings because Laura-Kate had different flavors, and my husband and I are not the most traditional of people. We chose Lemon Pucker for one tier and Opera (chocolate and coffee) for the other 2 tiers. So yummy! I gave her a picture and BOY did she deliver! It was the talk of the wedding! I'm still obsessing over it days later. 10/10 I would use her for any cake needs!

Laura-Kate was absolutely wonderful to work with! We used her for both our wedding cake and our grooms cake. Both cakes came out amazing and they tasted just as good as they looked! From the cake tasting where we could not stop eating the deliciousness to actually seeing the beautiful cakes come to life - I would recommend Sweet Stirrings to every bride! Our anniversary is approaching and had me thinking of Laura Kate! She is one vendor I recommend over and over and over again. Most importantly, she is so reliable, timely, sweet, and NAILS it when it comes to the vision in your head. She made my wedding cake dreams come true. Exactly what I imagined in my head— she created!!! Her cakes were the most delicious, moist, quality cakes I’ve had (for a great price too)! She made my bridal cake and grooms cake. My guests made sure to tell me how much they enjoyed our wedding cake even after our big day was over. Trust me and choose Laura Kate for your cake! Laura-Kate was great! She was really sweet. We chose a couple flavors to try during our decision process, however, she made ALL of the popular flavors (which were A LOT) for us to have more options to choose from. So from the start, we had a great experience. We wanted something simple, clean and elegant. And I can say she delivered exactly that. The cake looked gorgeous, and everyone at the wedding was so impressed with the cake! I keep getting comments about how perfect the icing was. I also got cookies instead of a grooms cake, to surprise my husband, and I was worried that the cookies were going to be ugly, because I’ve seen some in instagram that are not very neat. But they turned so perfect! She made yankees jerseys and yellow jackets (Georgia tech mascot) and they were beautiful and tasted A-MA-ZING! Base on my experience, I can totally say that laura-kate is a perfectionist and will be a great addition to anyone’s wedding!

Laura-Kate is as sweet as her cakes! The tasting process was so delicious we could hardly decide! (We ended up doing the sweet cream, opera, cookies and cream, and cookie dough - I wish I would've made the opera the biggest tier as it was a HIT). Her cakes are EXACTLY to your specification and she worked hard to find the most obscure of decorations for us or make it herself (i.e. Rose gold edible glitter and a Star Trek emblem). The cakes were delivered perfectly on time and set up beautifully! I cannot recommend her services enough.

First of all-cake tasting was amazing (and we took the samples home so we could continue making decisions)! Laura-Kate was super helpful when making decisions, and we gave her lots of artistic freedom, she exceeded our expectations! Most importantly--EVERYONE at our wedding was floored by how good the cakes were!! Everything was seamless and easy working with Laura-Kate.

Laura-Kate blows every other cake vendor in BR and the surrounding areas out of the water. Her cake flavors are OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. When my husband and I went to the tasting we liked every single one of her flavors. I had a 4 tier cake, all with her different AMAZING flavors. None of which were wedding cake. She takes on every change head on. My fiance wanted a free mason symbol on his cake, she had no idea what it looks like. We sent her a few pictures and the end result was PERFECT! The wedding cake was my white/gold/art deco dream. Laura-Kate is so easy to work with and I loved the fact that I could support a strong woman with her business she built from the ground up. All my wedding guests are still raving about how delicious the cake was. I will be using Sweet Stirrings for every cake opportunity I can possibly have. I want to eat her cakes every day of my life.

Sweet Stirrings: I just can’t say enough good things about this bakery! Our wedding cake was three layers, each with a different flavor cake and filling, and every single one was DELICIOUS! The design was terrific - I told the baker a little about our (unusual!) event, sent a few pictures of ideas we liked, and then gave her free reign to design how she liked. It was PERFECT! Delivery was right on time, which was important due to our time constraints. I would definitely order from Sweet Stirrings for any special event.

**I am not giving this 5 stars just bc it was who made my wedding cake, this is a very honest review* If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Mrs. Laura is so sweet and makes your dream cake come to life. Her buttercream is to DIE for, it is the best I have ever tasted. The whole cake is just amazing , we went home with pretty much just the anniversary tier left. I was skeptical to book at first bc the drive is a good distance from me, but I would drive it a thousand times more. She will now be my go to for every event!

Laura-Kate was awesome to work with. The cake tasting was so fun and stress free. She was there to answer all my questions. The grooms cake she made looked incredible and real, people couldn’t believe it was a cake. On top of all this, the cakes were absolutely delicious. We had a grooms cake and cupcakes for our “wedding” cake with a 6” cake on top. I see a lot of weddings ending with a lot of cake left over... we didn’t have that problem. Everything was so good, we didn’t have much left over. Her cake making skills are wonderful!

Loved this sweet baker and her cakes! She made the most perfect cable knit sweater cake for my wedding. She made it with alternating flavors too. Red velvet WAS my favorite flavor until I had her peppermint bark cream cheese with real bits of peppermint. Absolute heaven. The entire cake was gone. Not a piece was left. It was hands down the best cake I’ve tasted. I have had so many compliments from guest and inquiries about where this cake was from. She also made gingerbread men to go around the cake. It was absolutely precious! I will be using her in the future! Laura-Kate, thanks for making my day so, so sweet!

I'll start out saying if I could give her a 10 star rating, I would in a heartbeat! By far the BEST cakes I have EVER had! Everyone I know who tried our cakes, loved them! All asked who made them because of how yummy they were! She's made multiple things for me now and by far was my wedding cake and grooms cake! Everyone loved them! Will only use her for my dessert needs!

Sweet Stirrings has to be the best tasting cakes I've ever had! I still remember the day we went for our tasting and we were able to bring back a large box of several pieces of cake, and they all tasted so good that it was really hard to choose what we wanted. The tasting is definitely worth it! Laure-Kate is very easy to work with. She is respectful of the budget and worked with me to get within my budget. She also came and set everything up the day of, which is important if you don't have anyone else to do that. The groom's cake looked great! Everything tasted so good that we only had 5 mini cupcakes left at the end of the night (and I'm not even sure how those lasted). My only advice, buy more than you think you will need because the cake is so good, the word gets around and people come running to get a taste!

Wow!! Laura-Kate was so wonderful to work with and completely exceeded my expectations. I wanted a simple and plain cake to go with some cupcakes we had for our table. She made simple look absolutely stunning and helped with the set up for the other dessert. We were so nervous because we booked with her last minute, but she still made time to sit with us, talk about what we wanted, and taste some of her different cakes. It was so hard to choose because all of her cakes were so delicious! I am so thankful she was highly recommended to us and that she made the time to be a part of our special day! Laura-Kate was incredible from start to finish when it came to our wedding cakes. She was super easy to work with, and my bridal cake turned out even better than I imagined it. She absolutely killed my husband's groom cake as well (Manchester United themed with a soccer ball on top), which ended up being the favorite flavor of the night. Not only were they beautifully crafted, but they were absolutely the best cakes I've ever had in my life.

Best wedding cake I've ever had! Sweet Stirrings did our bride and groom cake. The bridal cake was EXACTLY what I described to them that I wanted and the design on the groom's cake looked very true to life. My guests are still talking about how delicious the cakes were! I am so incredibly happy we found out about Sweet Stirrings! Laura-Kate was amazing to work with, a creative genius, a wizard when it comes to cake decorating, extremely hard working, dedicated to what she does, and her cakes taste like heaven. I am not even over exaggerating with this either. When we met up with her to have a cake testing I was blown away. She went above and beyond to help us find the flavors we liked and they tasted amazing. I knew right away she was going to be great and she exceeded expectations in every way. I had some idea of what I wanted for my wedding cake. I sent her some pictures of ideas and she asked questions also to get an idea. When I saw my cake on the wedding day I was blown away, it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen and better than I could have dreamed of. It was so perfect and delicate and I did not want to even cut into it, it looked that good. I had a better idea for a grooms cake and she blew that out of the park too. My hubby is a runner and studies bugs so Iall asked for a shoe with Bus on and under it. She thought to also all kind of stuff like what's his favorite shoe. Come to find out she got the shoe brand to use as a model so she could get it right. Now that is dedication and it was perfect and my husband loved it. Both the cakes were such a huge hit at the wedding and we got a lot too because we were supposed to have more people. We had 20 people who were not able to come. Even though we had less people, everyone still ate up almost all that cake. There was a small amount left, but it was perfect for us as a late night snack. People were going back to get a third slice and even more. I have never in my life had a cake that was that delicious and the fact that it was so beautiful on top of that is impressive. You will not regret using Sweet Stirrings and I would suggest them to anyone and plan on using them again.

Sweet Stirrings was definitely the best choice for wedding cakes! Laura-Kate personally designed my wedding cake, and it could not have been any more beautiful! Not only was my cake a work of art, but the taste was phenomenal! My favorite part of weddings is getting to taste the wedding cake, so I've tasted quite a bit of wedding cake. This was hands down the best! I had so many people ask me who did the cake and tell me how good it was! I personally ate a piece of my cake, and felt like I was in heaven! We ended up running out of cake because everyone loved it! Honestly, how many weddings do you go to where they run out of wedding cake? That alone should convince you that Sweet Stirrings is the only option for wedding cake! Thank you Laura-Kate for everything! I used this sweet vendor for my shower cakes and wedding cake. I can't say enough good things about Sweet Stirrings!!!! The flavor of the cakes were amazing, the look of the cakes were exactly what I asked for if not more, and the owner Laura Kate is so amazing to work with! I would recommend this vendor to anyone!

Laura-Kate did an awesome job. The wedding cake was both beautiful and delicious. We ask for a Lego grooms cake since the grooms boys love Legos. It was adorable and also delicious. I was VERY pleased with Kate from sweet stirrings! She did my wedding cake and grooms cake! Not only was the cake the most delicious cake I have ever had, but they both looked AMAZING! She completely surpassed our expectations! MY husband wanted a New York Yankees pinstriped jersey cake! I almost felt guilty because pinstripes and cake just sounds like torcher. But she did WONDERFUL. The stripes were literally perfect and the cake as whole was EXACTLY like a Yankees home jersey! My cake was fairly simple and rustic with just a buttercream icing. But it turned out exactly how I had imagined it. She really did wonderful work. She went above and beyond and she is super sweet to work with. Her cakes are all unbelievably delicious and she really goes above and beyond even for her tastings. Honestly if we lived closer I would probably be ordering tuxedo cake and lemon pound cake from her for everything! She is great at what she does, very affordable and easy to work with!

Our cakes were not only beautiful, but we're very tasteful!! Our guests are still raving about the cakes. Laura Kate was amazing through out the entire process and was able to produce everything I requested for both the Groom and Bride's cake! I will be using her for future needs that will arise!! You will not be disappointed with her work!

I can't rave enough about Sweet Stirrings! I knew things were going to be good when our cake tasting was fantastic. Laura-Kate brought all different types of cake and icing and let us mix and match to find our best fit. We ended up doing the almond cake with almond buttercream for the bride's cake and chocolate fudge with cookies-n-cream filling for the groom's cake. I found the designs I wanted on Pinterest and the cakes at the reception were exactly what I sent her! The bride's cake was gorgeous (3 tiered cake with roses) and the groom's cake was fun (1967 Camero). The cake was so moist, the decoration was spot on, and everyone at the reception said it was amazing! Laura-Kate was really easy to work with and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Her cake baking and design skills are really good.

So I didnt really care for a traditional cake, but my husband was dead set. I am SO glad he was. My wonderful planner N-Joy Events set up about 4 different tastings at the same time so we could try them all. Hands down, no comparison, Sweet Stirrings was THE best! He cakes were delicious and not sugary like the rest. I didnt want to stop eating! EVERYONE at our wedding was going on and on about how amazing our cakes were. Not only are they delicious, but they are beautiful as well! She really understood my husband and my's vision. I am going to use her for every custom cake I need!

Laura Kate at Sweet Stirrings recently made my wedding and groom's cakes for my wedding in New Orleans and my guests are still talking about how much they loved the cake. I cannot say thank you enough to her for helping make my wedding perfect. My husband and I tried the cake at popular bakeries in New Orleans and although the designs were beautiful, the cake was very dry. Sweet Stirrings’ cakes are so moist, and the ingredients she uses are very fresh and high quality. She has tons of fillings to try- like nutella, cookies and cream, and white chocolate mousse (my favorite). Even the fondant on the groom’s cake was fantastic. The design of the cake far surpassed any other bakery’s ability that I have seen. Laura Kate is a perfectionist and made sure the intricate lace designs of my wedding cake were perfect. My wedding cake was absolutely stunning. Thank you, Laura Kate! My husband and I cannot wait to order from your bakery again! 

When I started my wedding planning process, I was told more times than not that I had a choice between a "pretty cake" and a "good tasting cake." I had both. I really enjoyed working with Sweet Stirrings. She came recommended to me and I started following her on facebook. AMAZING and beautiful cookies too. After sampling a lot of cake ( I had two years to plan) her cake was definitely the best tasting. Let me also mention that I tasted the cake from Washington D.C. after my mother flew it up the day before. Sweet Stirrings turned my vision into reality, let me get creative, and made it look even better than I would have imagined. We got so many reviews from guests who told us " I usually don't eat the cake--- but I had a piece of both the wedding cake and the grooms cake!"

I was so impressed by LauraKate(owner of Sweet Stirrings). We needed a small wedding cake (to feed 50 people) quickly. She was so very helpful. She met with us for a tasting, delivered, and set-up everything. It was beautiful and delicious! The cake was honestly the best I've ever tasted! Everyone loved it; and, sadly, there was nothing left! Since the wedding, I've had her make a bridal shower cake and some cookies for a baby shower. Everything was exceptional! You can't go wrong with this talented lady!

I have now used Sweet Stirrings for two occassions. She made my daughters first birthday cake and it was not only precious, it was delicious!! I then used her to make my wedding cake and groomsman cake. Both were even better than I pictured! My cake was beautiful and delicious and our groomsman cake was awesome and just as delicious! Guest were drooling over how good both cakes were! I HIGHLY recommend Sweet Stirrings! Creative & yummy!!! :)

I don't even know where to start. The cake and the filling were delicious. We went with the Berry Chantilly for my cake, and my husband got the peanut butter indulgence. I STILL have people asking me about my cakes. Laura-Kate is incredibly talented when it comes to decorating. The amount of detail she can get on a cake is unbelievable. I can't say enough about her. Sweet, talented, reliable, Laura-Kate is the girl you want for your wedding or any sort of event!

I could not be more impressed with Laura Kate's work. I let her have full control over the design of our wedding cake and she exceeded my expectations to say the least! My wedding coordinator said it was one of the prettiest and most unique cakes she had ever seen. Not to mention it was absolutely delicious!! Sweet Stirrings did my wedding cake and my Groom's cake. The wedding cake was a two year, quilted cake with white chocolate filling and fresh flowers for the topper. It was one if the most amazing cakes I have ever eaten! Our Groom's cake was red velvet with cream cheese filling and chocolate dipped strawberries on top. My guests raved about it!! The total cost of both, the quality of the cakes, and the service was more than worth it! I would highly recommend Sweet Stirrings for any cake needs!!

I first met and fell in love with Laura-Kate and her cakes at a local bridal show. Her cupcake samples were delicious, but its hard to tell what a full wedding cake made a week before will finally taste like. We had our first meeting after booking Laura-Kate about 9 months before our wedding. She was very understanding that I was a little anxious to get started. After multiple emails, we decided to taste as many combinations as we could. I knew I wanted her strawberry chiffon filling but I wanted to be sure I was picking the best. Laura-Kate was WONDERFUL at our tasting. I brought with me my mom, grandmother and the groom's mom. That's alot of mamas to deal with! But she was very thorough and patient with us. We chose a four layer edible pearl encrusted dream of a cake from a picture I saw on her website. Each layer was a different filling and was probably more work than most. The groom's cake was a chocolate duck hunting themed cake that Laura-Kate created from a picture I brought her. She made our cakes more than we thought they could be. We are sweets lovers and wanted the cakes to be a big deal. Every single guest complimented us on the designs as well as how delicious the cakes were. I made sure I had a large piece of my favorite strawberry chiffon layer and it was to die for! Laura-Kate is a doll to deal with during a very special time. She is also very honest about her timeline and abilities. We are so happy with our choice of baker and can't wait to attack that top layer on our anniversary!

I found laura kate at a local bridal show. All of her cakes looked wonderful and had impeccable details. Even better is that her cakes were absolutely delicious!! Everything is fresh. Her cake tasting was wonderful and her service is just the same!! She was so easy to work with and i had no worries about my cake and how it would look or taste. Her prices are just as great as her menu selections!! best baker in town. im so glad i went with her for my wedding cake :) I cant wait for birthdays and anniversaries b/c from now on we will def purchase all of our cakes from her!!

We used Sweet Stirrings for our bride and groom cakes, and they were amazing!! People who attended our reception still ask us who did the cakes for the party. We gave Laura-Kate our idea, and the cakes were above and beyond our expectations, both in taste and presentation. The bride’s cake was beautiful and exactly what I wanted! The top and bottom tiers were strawberry cake with strawberry chiffon filling and light buttercream frosting; and the middle tier was white almond cake with one layer of almond cream filling and two layers of vanilla buttercream. We were hoping to be able to take home more than just the top tier of the bride’s cake, but there wasn’t any white almond cake left to take…Everyone thought it was phenomenal!!! The groom’s cake was also exactly what we wanted: Chocolate cake, Texas-shaped, with vanilla buttercream filling and frosting, and chocolate shavings, with TTU logo on top. We would not have been able to beat the quality and professionalism that Sweet Stirrings offers for the price anywhere. We enjoyed working with Laura-Kate, and think she is amazing and very talented! Laura-Kate made our bridal cake and groom's cake for our wedding in November 2011. The bridal cake was very formal and the groom's cake was a creative road of the bride and grooms life together. She gave us everything we could have imagined and more while staying under $1000 total for two cakes that each had around 175 servings and 3 types of cake. The cake was very moist and full of flavor. I highly recommend you check out her website to see her creations because words do not do it justice.

I used Sweet Stirrings for my bride's and groom's cake. The bride's cake was exactly was I described. So beautiful. It captured the elequent theme of my wedding. The groom's cake was magnificient! I wanted a cowboy themed cake. I sent a picture of my husband's boots and hat to the cake maker and she provided me with an exact replica of the hat and boots. It was AMAZING! The prices were reasonable. I still have wedding guest comment not only on the beauty of my cakes but also how wonderful they tasted. I can't wait until my first wedding anniversary so I can eat the top layer of my cake. I have dreams about how good that cake tasted!

I head about Laura Kate through a mutual friend of hers. When we met to try the various cakes I wanted them all! They tasted amazing!!! She perfectly executed the image I had in my head for the bridal cake (complete with out bible verse along the bottom layer). And she blew us away with the grooms cake. My husband wanted Homer and we were expecting a simple 2D profile of Homer. What we got was a 3D profile with each detail perfectly Simpson! The cakes were the hit of the reception and were the icing (no pun intended) on top of our wedding day! Now, 18 months after our wedding, people still talk about how wonderful the cakes looked and tasted! You will NOT be disappointed!

I have known Laura-Kate since high school so I can testify to her character & dependability, and since she has now done my wedding & groom's cake, I can say her talent is unbelievable. LK is easy to communicate with, knows what's going on in "the business" as far as trends and new technuques, and is very reasonably priced. Did I mention the cakes are pretty AND delicious?! I would love to have the chance to use Sweet Stirrings again. She also did a friend's wedding & groom's cake over a year ago, and she was extremely pleased, too. Thanks Laura-Kate!

We used Sweet Stirrings for our grooms cake and all I can say is AMAZING!!!!!!!! I gave her an idea of what I was looking for and she nailed it beyond my expectations! The cake was a surprise for my fiance and he absolutely LOVED it! The cake was DELISH too! We used someone else for my cake... after seeing the groom's cake, we were really mad at ourselves for not using Laura-Kate for my cake too. You are CRAZY if you don't use her! You won't be disappointed!!
