At Sweetfield, we create environments that are elegant yet comfortable, always welcoming guests to savor in the moment. We work with the movement and colors of the seasons, embracing the perfectly imperfect beauty of florals. We work to combine our southern grace, with a modern thoughtfulness. Sweetfield is owned by McKenzie Lynah, fifth generation Savannahian. As the senior floral designer, McKenzie draws unique inspiration from her professional experiences. Her masters degree in art history, inherently and quietly inspires and informs the compositions and floral approach of Sweetfield. Early in her professional career, McKenzie worked at an interior design firm in New York City, which had the greatest impact to her overall aesthetics, design and approach to business - which is to always be thoughtful and make even the quietest of moments special. Her established career as a photo and video producer honed McKenzie’s logistics, problem‑solving, and on‑site execution skills, ensuring every floral installation is efficient, composed with intention, and seamlessly executed.

Owner

Sweetfield Flowers was named after my dad's leather shop on River Street in Savannah in the 70's – Sweetfield Leather. He got the name from a church down the street from where I grew up, Sweetfield of Eden Baptist Church. I put my heart, and therefore sensitivity to both people and design, into my work. I will do everything I can to give you all of the floral magic for your special event.

ng of the planning process she completely blew me away with how thoughtful and kind she was. On our very first Zoom call (with my mom and me from 2 different states), she was so thoughtful and helpful. She somehow understood the vision between our rambling thoughts and half-baked Pinterest boards and she even reminded me that it’s okay to not like suggestions. (Which might sound silly, but when you're trying to make a million decisions and you're getting 100 different opinions... it was exactly what I needed to hear.) She genuinely cares about the couples she works with and was such a joy to have at the venue on the day of. She made everything feel SO easy, listened and understood exactly what we were going for, and even went above and beyond with a few last minute changes when we had to switch gears on things (she literally went out of her way a week before the wedding to find the most GORGEOUS urns for the ceremony and place card table). Everything McKenzie put together was flawless... the ceremony altar pieces, bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres, and literally every flower she brought in was just stunning. It's been a week and I still have people texting me and telling me how beautiful our florals were. But even besides the flowers themselves - McKenzie brought kindness, patience, and calm to an incredibly chaotic process that was so sweet to have. She has an incredible gift and I feel SO lucky that she shared it with us on our wedding day. Truly just cannot recommend Sweetfield Flowers enough!!

She provided an experience of color- all white at the rehearsal, white and yellow at the ceremony, adding pops of pink at cocktail hour, and an abundant display of every color in a waterfall of flowers at the reception.
